Overstuffed chairs and extra large ashtrays help make this cigar bar and absolute joy and comfort. The owner is from the Dominican Republic and he is extremely knowledgeable on cigars! He has a full service bar and loads of room for seating, is very courteous and friendly. This is a great way to spend an hour with friends sitting around and listening to music and chatting. Highly recommend

Nice owner! He explained a bit about cigars and recommended one. We tried it in the small open lounge behind the shop as the main lounge inside was taken. When we bought a cigar he offered a discount which came as a nice surprise.

This place is outstanding! The cigar selection is up to par and the bar selection is not that bad. I had to wait 30 minutes for a drink but that's because there were people there from some event can't blame the fine establishment. Cigar prices are just as expected, a little high but let's face it it's worth every penny. The humidor is perfect with humidity control and the cigars are in perfect condition 👌. Could use some smoke eaters though, the place was filled with smoke, even with the doors wide open.

I was there for Essence and they had a nice honey flavored cigar that my sistah cousin and I liked. The staff was a little uptight to me. You spoke to them and you had to speak to them twice before they acknowledged you. I we did buy some cigars and left them on the counter a few hours later we realized that we didn't have them . We went back to the lounge and the gentleman just handed us our cigars. We were very thankful.

Large cigar bar with daily hours. Lots of cigar n liquor choices and the drinks were poured well. Plush leather sofa couches throughout the place. Lots of room for friends to drink, chat, and smoke. This place could be a versatile space and add a nightclub at night. The men's bathroom needs repairs.

This was a wonderful end to our day. The staff were friendly, great selection of cigars including my preferred brand, Hiram and Soloman. The seating was comfortable and the overall atmosphere was inviting. We will be back next time we are in town.

I happen to be there on a Sunday afternoon and it was very low keyed. The staff was friendly and they have a nice selection although I think it's a little pricey. I enjoyed one of their house blends that was very well constructed. I plan on going back again during my stay this week.

Cool cigar bar right on Canal St. with great selection of cigars. Laid back attitude atmosphere with Latin music playing in the background. Prices are a bit expensive but given that you're right on Canal St. it's reasonable.

A wonderful cigar bar near many of the Convention Center hotels. They know their cigars and whiskeys, and have a nice selection of each. The prices are a little higher than I'm used to, but in line for the Convention Center area. Plenty of comfortable chairs and couches. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

The place definitely has the good ole boy back room feel. It's like a throwback to what cigar lounges use to be. The good ole boys club that cater to men. The dark furniture really poor lighting. I did rather enjoy smoking in the what it was back in the day feel lounge. Not woman friendly at all unless she likes that back room type feel. Only thing missing is the secret door knock lol.

Overpriced cigars (not the worst prices I've seen) but I don't imagine rent is cheap around here. I'll be here on a daily basis until I go home!

Very fine cigar shop with a great atmosphere and comfy seats to lounge in and enjoy your cigar, drink, or both. Very knowledgeable staff walk you through the humidor and then light you to bliss. They had some bathroom trouble while I visited, but overall a great experience.

This is a nice cigar lounge to sit down and have a nice cigar. The only problem is they have overpriced cigars I've been to hundreds of cigar lounges across the country one thing a lot of them fail to do is to stock their humidor with mid-range cigars. Not everybody wants to spend 15 to $25 on a cigar I prefer the $10 cigar and sometimes I'll buy a $15 cigar. But sometimes I like to get a cheaper cigar Alec Bradley makes a great line of cigars I'm just using them as one example.other than that I give them a good rating but they need to get some more midlines cigars.

Only real cigar lounge I've seen in town. Don't be suprised by the prices of cigars here. If you are in the big city expect to pay a little bit more. This is due to the use of the facilities and the differences in taxes. I found exactly what I wanted to smoke. Nice big humidor with a very wide selection. Prices ranged from low to high. The staff were very nice and thry also filled my lighter. Thank you John

They have a beautiful cigar selection for every budget and pallet. The whiskey selection was impeccable scotches irish and bourbons for every taste. Multi level rums from captin and bacardi silver to 18 year aged rums. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great environment.

I liked the place a lot but some fat guy behind the counter got in my face about "lighting up a cigar" in the place unless I had bought it there. He rudely instructed me to "not light that cigar up unless I had bought it there". I told him I bought it there (which I had) and he calmed down. Other than that it was a good experience.

Excellent place to light up in New Orleans. I tried them all. It is located on an easy to find street if you are a tourist. The casino is two blocks down. They have a great selection of cigars, very spacious, bar, and friendly staff. It will be my only destination for cigars on my next trip to New Orleans.

Great place on Canal Street to enjoy a cigar. During the week and weekwnds during football and basketball season you can sit back and enjoy the game. Don's has a huge walk-in humidor with a variety of great cigars to choose from. They also have a full bar and bartender with leather couch and chair seating throughout. My favorite time to go is during the summer, when the front doors are opened to canal street.

Came to New Orleans for business. Wanted a drink and a cigar after the drive to decompress. Decided to try Don Leoncio in lieu of "the cigar bar" which has a branch in my hometown of Pensacola. Upon entry I was greeted by an elder gentleman simply with a smile and knod acknowledging my own. Stepped into the humidor followed by the gentleman to grab my go-to Arturo Fuente. After inquiry as to the location of a my choice he directed me surprisingly to a cheaper cigar from the same establishment. It immediately clicked with me that this man was less interested in hard salesman tactics employed by many cigar shops and was simply protecting another's best interests in regards to flavor. Taken aback by the situation I agreed out of curiosity and was not disappointed. After checking out I glanced to my right to see an open bar and asked for the hour it closed. I proceeded to the bar with my wife, several businessmen occupied the seats to the left of the bar so we posted in the stools on the opposite side, across from where the bartender Luis was. It was a decision I came to be grateful of. Upon requesting a mojito for my wife based off praise I saw on prior reviews I was informed they stopped making mojitos two weeks before our arrival. Instead I requested a sweet drink for my wife, Luis picked up intuitively on my wife's cocktail preference and said he would make a cocktail he made for his wife which was almost identical to the one I make for mine. I ordered two shots of Macallan 12 on the rocks. I got four shots on the rocks in two glasses but was only charged for two. After my wife finished her drink she decided to sip from the second glass. After a few sips Luis read the distaste on her face and offered to hit the drink with Sprite to be more palatable for her. While he was diluting the drink he read my glance at the pouring with remarkable precision of human understanding and began telling a story about how his wife mixed beer and coke at their wedding. I rarely encounter people with such instinctive ability to read others. We had an enjoyable exchange regarding numerous topics in a short period of time involving stories and opinions from Luis, my wife and myself. We paid our tab, I asked for his name and we left. Hands down the most personable bartending experience I've had in some time. Luis embodies what traditional bartenders strived for but it's simply his character and not forced in the slightest. He's the real deal. Him and the fellow who assisted me in the humidor who I later found out to be his father were both genuinely kind people. To recieve that kind of treatment in a city that capitalizes on abusing tourists is all the more shocking. I wish I could take this establishment home with me. I wish only the best in their future endeavors and recommend it to all who want a cigar or simply want to relax.

D. Leoncio’s is awesome. The owners also run a factory in the Dominican and produce some of the finest sticks on the market. The blue label Churchill Capa Maduro is sublime. The location is perfect (although parking can be an issue). Roomy, comfortable, stylish... The bar is well stocked and broad of selection. Prices are fair. You’ll find that for which you’re looking for at Don Leoncio’s.

A cigar bar. Yes, there is a bar in the back that they dont push too much. The music can be a little loud at times. It was loud enough for me to get up from the comfy leather chairs & leave. The staff is corteous, but push the Pinar Del Rios alot. Not my favorite cigar, but not a bad cigar. Prices are so-so for a tourist town.

I love the location! Decent selection of cigars. Drinks and cigars are pricey. I pay 8 bucks for a Tatiana in IL and 10 for an Acid. Here Tatiana is 10 and Acid was 16. This doesn't include tax.

(Translation) Tabychny house - that's what I called it. Although I do not smoke, I decided to go into this hospitable room and look at the design itself. The house is located near a large casino and on the main street of New Orleans. Everything here looks in the same style - the brown tones of the entire design of the room - from light to dark shades. Large and spreading sofas fit well into the interior, and in front of them there are devices for sipping cigars - on an old decorative table. There are places for a small company of friends - they are fenced off and are in the cabins. The table looks very good - it is all cut up with carvings and ornaments and varnished. Stands on the wall of different sizes - from small to large - they reflect photographs of eminent visitors. And the last thing is hospitable hosts - you will always be welcome. Outdoor advertising and open doors are also very original. (Original) Табычный дом - я так его назвала. Я хоть и не курю , но решила зайти в это гостеприимное помещение и посмотреть на само оформление. Дом находится недалеко от большого казино и на главной улице Нового Орлеана. Все тут выглядит в едином стиле - коричневые тона всего оформления помещения - от светлого до темного оттенков. Хорошо вписываются в интерьер большие и раскидистые диваны и перед ними установлены приборы для потягивания сигар - на старинном декоративном столике. Есть места для небольшой компаниии друзей - они загорожены и находятся в кабинах. Очень хорошо смотрится стол - он весь изрезан резьбой и орнаментами и покрыт лаком. Стенды на стене разных размеров - от мала до велика - в них отражены фотографии именитых посетителей. И последнее - это гостеприимные хозяева - всегда будут вам рады. Также очень оригинальна наружная реклама и распахнутые двери.
