Such an impatient business owner...😖 At one point I asked him "do you want my money or not?" I always purchase many and alk my tobacco supplies at once. As well as many ethnic food and drink items that this shop has a vast variety of. $75-$100 per visit. Most of the employees I've encountered also display this impatience and intolerance Except for the nice gentlemen working a couple nights ago:]

Great place to get your tobacco items. The attendant is a joy to be around. They have the lowest bulk tobacco prices I have found. There has always been parking available on the street every visit so far.

I been going to tobacco and mas store since 2015 they have been great to the community and the neighbors and the neighborhood very convenient to the area

From the very first day I stepped into Tobacco & Mas the owner has gone out of his way to provide me with Exactly what I need. He had never heard of Marlboro 83's but vowed to get them for me after finding out I'd just moved back to the old neighborhood. Wouldn't you know it, he was true to his word the very next time I came in. Yeah, yeah, cigarettes are bad for you but you know what Isn't? Or Aren't? ~ Fresh Dates. I had moved back to Whittier after 20+ years and was saddened to find many of the shops that I used to get different foods from had been replaced by trendy restaurants and shops that didn't appeal to me whatsoever. I'd found dates in Hark's (So glad to see that little Quentin Tarantino convenience store still standing!) but theirs were swimming in gooeyness. I'd brought this up to the owner of Tobacco & Mas and the next time I came in he had several containers of regular pitted dates waiting for me. I was elated! And they were ridiculously cheap at just $5 for a pound! And fresh too! The discussion about dates continued as I learned more and asked if he could get whole dates in his next shipment so that they would be softer without needing the syrup used in other types of soft dates. Indeed next visit yielded pit-in dates that were fabulous. To my surprise he'd spoken to his "guy" across the globe and next time I came in he reached under the counter and pulled out a magnificent box of dates that were still on the stems. These were nature's caramels! Absolutely beautiful! Talk about Service!! Still crazy affordable yet set a standard that hasn't been beat. On top of that per my request he started carrying large tubs of regular yogurt rather than sugar free, has held half gallons of eggnog for me because I always seem to miss it and stocks 2 lb bags of Cameron's coffee for me that is cheaper - WAY CHEAPER than Cub Foods. Oh, and Ooey Gooey Butter Cakes too! < If you haven't already you gotta try those! Just look past the Hostess junk and you'll find 'em. (BTW, last time I looked Whole Foods sells dates for about $1 an Ounce. I guess you pay for the 'privilege' of feeling safe in gentrification.) They always have 9 pk rolls of TP that rivals and wins over Charmin for just $6 and eggs are always 2 for $4. Open until 10 pm on the dot every dang day and they never close early- so people like me who garden all summer and tell time by the sky can milk the daylight to the last few minutes and bust butt the 3 blocks to make it just in time to nab some quick essentials. Be cool to these guys and they'll treat you Very well in return!!
