I’m late on this review. But that is how much I’ve been enjoying this new piece. I read the reviews on this place before stopping in and I think most of the negative reviews are left are probably pretty inaccurate. I travel a lot, home base in CO. I see a lot of shops. High Life is immaculate. It’s very clean, open and spacious. I was almost immediately greeted by Jay who walked across the store to greet me timely. His first suggestion was the only one needed. I told him a basic description of what I was looking for and he knew better what I wanted and needed than I did. This piece is incredible and fits all my current needs PERFECTLY. I would 6 star this experience if possible. The quality, price, service all knocked out the ballpark. Thanks High Life EDIT. I didn’t get a discount for this review. I wasn’t offered one and I didn’t expect one. I was content with the price for service and products I received.

This used to be one of the best smoke/vape shops in the WNC area. Recently however, the staff is unhelpful, unfriendly, and sometimes can be very rude. The selection of products is nowhere near as dynamic and plentiful as they used to be, and worst yet, the prices have soared through the roof. They did away with their 'discount ECig juice' shelf that they used to have for those who vape and are on a tight budget. They have made so many changes, most of which for the worse. If High Life would bring back the way it was doing business five years ago, they would have definitely received a five star rating from me. But, as of right now, I give High Life a 2.5 out of 5. 👎😟

We're closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, open regular hours all other Holidays. Come in, see huge Pipe Wall, terrific Vape, eJuice selection and meet our awesome staff. Terrific prices on kratom and lots of it! (Hey, I gave us a 5 star rating cause that's what I really think this place deserves it!)

They've got amazing prices on their wares and the staff is super friendly, eager to help and fairly knowledgeable. Only issue I've run into is that occasionally they'll be out of what I'm looking for days, but I know that's not necessarily in them. Also the parking lot can be tricky to get out of, and you may be approached by a loiterer, but again, that's not really on them per se.

Nice store! Had just what I was looking for at a very reasonable price. In fact, I was able to get the perfect bowl for me, and it was only $5! And they have my fav incense! The staff was helpful and wore masks. It's a big deal to travel to Asheville for me. It's 2 hours one way, it can be hard with my illnesses and often isn't worth the gas with all that's available online - BUT this was so worth it! Excellent first experience, I 'highly' recommend. I will NOT visit any other head shop in town. They have the largest selection, spaced out to where you can conveniently shop without being right on top of other people. The staff are all friendly and you can even sign up for their loyalty program! Each time you walk in, check in at the kiosk at the main register. Over time you can accumulate points that reward you with discounts. Best shop in town, one stop covers all your needs and the prices can't be beat.

Absolutely love this store. I used to frequent the one in Shelby, but due to a certain staff member there who always made mine and my wife's visit unpleasant, we started going to the Asheville store. Great store, easy to access everything and clean. When you walk in the front doors it’s this massive open space with shelving placed just so in the middle. Glass shelving for most products. Then alongside the right side wall all the way to the back wall and across is the main products in glass shelving. Their selection is huge for vaping products. Their staff is quite knowledgeable with all their products. There’s fun things to look at too and they have an incense section that’s smaller than some but great choices anyway. I like it better than other places because the smell won’t run you away. Then they have special promotions at times. Fun spot and we will return. Oh yeah, their prices are very reasonable for what you’re getting. Very reasonable.

I went and a bought a cart box the other day and Frank helped me find exactly what I wanted and needed, no runaround or aggressive sales tactics. First off I know what I’m talking about, I don’t write reviews but on my soul itself This place is beyond compare👏 The prices are unbelievable. I have bought things online & in other shops but there is NO PLACE PERIOD that can beat the prices & the best thing is they don’t sacrifice quality. I just love this place. EVERYONE is friendly, efficient & I could rant about how cool & just perfectly run High Life is forever 😊 But seriously I love Frank, he runs the place & is smart, funny, hip & actually cares about giving his customers the best price & product. Also Elliot, who is someone who, like Frank, radiates decency & is ALWAYS working hard, but manages to make everyone feel special. Anyone who says they have a bad experience I recommend asking Jesus to open your eyes & see that the problem lies within your own heart. Look for the worst in anything & you will find it, but usually because you are projecting your internal unhappiness. Be happy be nice & shop at High Life.

I just got an amazing deal on a vaporizer, I couldn't be more pleased with this shop. I walked in and was taken by surprise! The shop was huge! Furthermore, I'm not much of a personal shopper so the fact that the staff let me shop on my own was nice. What topped it off is the manager was the one who sold me my new vaporizer. I had done over 5 hours of research prior to coming in so I'd know what I was dealing with before someone tried to "sell me". Prepared for a sales ploy I immediately started the conversation a bit stand-offish and to my surprise he leveled with me about each product. It was because of this that I ended up going with a different product than my research had come to suggest. I heard the pros and cons of the product he was suggesting and even heard him fact drop a few things that I had heard about the product I had intended to buy which made me even more confident in the staff's product knowledge. I asked him before my purchase why he had suggested something $20 less than what I had intended to buy and he told me that his customers had been unhappy with previous models; including the model I was asking about. He even had the patience to let me review his facts online before selling me the product. Everything he said checked out and was just a new product that had not been overly-reviewed. Getting home and having it work better than expected made this experience amazing. I would recommend this store to anyone in WNC.

I come here to buy vape supplies, because they are by far the cheapest option for vape supplies. There is also a large selection. Other than this, this is not the most convenient place to shop for vape stuff. All of the juices are behind the counter out of eyesight so you cannot read the flavors, and they don’t have an updated menu of the favors. So the only way to find out what they are is by asking, and most of the employees are rather apathetic in what they are doing so it seems to bother them to have to read the flavors. They are also often out of stock of items, and this one guy says he’ll order it and even writes it down, but never orders it. Very easy fixes.

So this is my new #1 go to for vape accessories. I purchased a pod for 17 dollars at UP N SMOKE and the guys at High life had the same one I could get 3 for less than what i paid. I strongly suggest stay away from UP M SMOKE and make it easy on yourself to just go to High Life. They have everything everyone else has plus more and at a dramatically lower price. If you see something for less somewhere else tell them and they will beat it.. Also they are all very knowledgeable in all there products..

Went in to check this place out for some e-juice after my partner stopped in the Hickory location and she received good service and great prices. The Asheville location is huge!! The selection of smoking utensils and accesories is impressive. I made my way through to the back and was meet by this older cat, Frank. He and I could have conversed for hours. Very helpful, made some recommendations on juice and showed me a sweet little e-cig rig. At checkout, I waited patiently while a couple other employees helped a few less patient folks with grace and perfect customer service. I then received the same stellar service. I highly recommend this place.

Highlife is a good smokeshop. I have had a few negative experiences here, mostly on the customer service side. I can understand this, though because there seems to be a moderate amount of turnover. The older gentleman is the only person I can remember being there for a long period of time. He is awesome and very knowledgeable. Overall, they know who wants to browse, who wants to get in and get out and all the in betweens. This is my go-to shop.

I am not a normal customer in a smoke shop. Meaning, when I’ve went to other shops I wasn’t helped. I was stared at like any second I would explode. I went in looking for a replacement to my Vape that broke. I quit smoking using vape. I was so pleasantly surprised that there are new models that are made for this. I spent time with Frank, Blaze and the young lady whose name I didn’t get. They were so honest and spent like 20 minutes with me even though they were busy. I highly recommend this shop! For about the past 5 years now, I have struggled with quitting smoking cigarettes. I stopped the first time, cold turkey, when I moved to Colorado, and stayed quit for about a year and a half before picking them up again. The second time I quit, I used patches with a combonation of an electronic cigarette, and stayed quit for about a year before picking them up again. The last time I quit was done through the use of nicotine gum and then I picked them up again and had been smoking until three days ago when I stopped into High Life Smoke Shop and spoke with a gentleman named Brandon. This young man was very knowledgeable of the products carried in the store and took a genuine interest in my desire to quit smoking once and for all. I told him that I had come to the conclusion that "quitting smoking was easy, but staying quit was the real challenge". The amount of confidence that exuded from this complete strangers mouth was exactly what I needed in that moment and has acted as a sort of fuel to my determination to stay quit this time. Three days in, no cigarette, and no desire to start back up. So, thank you again Brandon, for showing me that kindness and for going above and beyond your responsibility as a salesman. Keep up the good work. Asheville and it's people appreciate you buddy.

I come here on a regular basis for all my hookah needs. They have TONS of fairly priced glass. Anyone that thinks its overpriced has most likely beeb smoking out of popcans and one hitters since high school. They have a custom e-juice station where you can get any flavor under the sun. I went here to learn about and possibly buy vaping supplies. Knowing nothing, I went in blind and spoke to some of the employees and walked out with an entry level vape kit. After going home and researching everything I learned that they had suggested one of the best, yet inexpensive vape kits out there, as well as the best lithium battery for it! And the price was right. This was repeated when I was looking for a new tank. I went in twice with more questions about vaping, and when they didn't know the answers or it was just too specialized for them they happily referred me to another local shop that only does vape stuff. They are always friendly there and took care of me and my friend as well!
