I have been going to Bob Lee’s for a long time and have never been disappointed. This time, I had a tire blow on the highway. They recommended a tow company that I could trust (which was great) and they got me back on the road again at a fair price. The business is so well run and it shows at every point of contact from diagnosing the problem to a reasonable and efficient solution. They are very customer service oriented, the only place you can still have your gas pumped for you. Once you’re a Bob Lee’s fan, there’s even merch!

Richard made my day today & I would highly recommend this shop based on the level of service I received. For those who appreciate details - My Monday started off in a less than pleasant manner, trying to figure out how to get my tire changed under warranty at the place my tow truck driver dropped it off late last night. I had originally thought it had been taken to an actual Goodyear store, but I guess there isn’t one in St. Pete. Bob Lee’s was listed as a retailer on Goodyear’s website so that’s where it went. When I called this morning, Tire Shop Manager Richard asked that I bring my Goodyear tire warranty literature to the shop so he could review it and determine if I’d qualify. I’ll admit I wasn’t in my most friendly of moods, which I hope Richard will forgive. He forewarned me that the tire I needed was not in stock and would have to be ordered.. could take a few days. I brought my paperwork to the shop and he took a few minutes to look it over. He returned with a claim form completed and ready for me to submit to Goodyear for reimbursement, as is protocol outside of an actual Goodyear store. He also told me my car was ready. I was surprised. I thought they had to order a tire? He’d had the foresight to go ahead and order it after we got off the phone earlier in the morning. I was very impressed by the proactive and helpful service I received & would not hesitate to return in the future. Thanks Richard, for turning my day around!!

Bob Lee’s has been around forever. Located on 4th Street and 17th Ave in St. Petersburg, Bob Lee’s is easy to get to and easy to find. It is one of the last full service gas stations around! Stop by get gas, check tire pressure, check oil and without ever leaving your car. Steve, who works the pumps, is always friendly and ready to help. They have everything from tires to full auto repairs.

When i moved to st pete 1 yr ago...everybody told me to go to bob lee for auto service. The team at bob lee is great...changed my license plates...refused to let me pay...offer lots of information about my car....did an outstanding job on a routine oil change..and repaired a broken ac fan is 6 hrs. I just love that i can get air checked and adjusted on tires. And the detail shop on site did the best work on my car I have had done in 20 yrs. In the past I have always used the dealer for service on my car....going forward I will always use bob lee and his team..

Auto Nation Ford had my truck to check out front left wobble for 4 days!!! They had poor to no communication with me for 4 days!!! Did not respond to calls or text. I called Richard, Shed Manager, at Bob Lee’s Tire Co on 4th St N and he promptly told me to bring it in. I drove it from Auto Nation to Bob Lee’s apparently, literally talking my life in my hands, because Richard immediately noted the tire was missing 3 lug nuts and could almost pull the tire off!!!!! Richard is knowledgeable, polite and attentive. I highly recommend him for your auto needs!

I knew I needed at least 2 rear tires, and Issac said the fronts are still good. Maybe a couple/few thousand miles left. He said it would take an hour, and it was closer to 45 minutes. Great waiting area. Will for sure go back when we need anything done on our cars

Called on a Wednesday, spoke with Isaac for new tires, he had to order them, said it may be a few days. Friday morning got a message letting me know tires had arrived. Went down late morning in and out within an hour was on my merry way!! Not to mention tires were less expensive than national tire chain in town. Glad I was able to give a local business the opportunity!!

My car had a transmission problem that I hoped to learn the diagnosis of. Though Bob Lee's couldn't find the problem, they didn't charge me an inspection fee and recommended a good Transmission shop. Great customer service!

Great customer service! We were leaving St. Pete to drive 2 hours home when our car began making a strange noise and the engine was leaking fluid. We stopped in at Bob Lee's on a Friday afternoon. Although very busy, Carl and his manager fit us in to diagnose the problem. They got the parts ordered right then and were able to get us back on the road by the time they closed Friday evening.

I took my car in because I had a flat. I wasn’t able to get my tire off because I thought the lug nuts were stripped. Turns out the just swelled and needed to be reformed with the socket. They could’ve charged me more and they didn’t. They are honest and give great service 10/10 recommend.

Been going to Bob Lee's for years mostly just to get my oil changed. The wait has been longer but I found that if you go in first thing in the morning it's not as bad. Everybody is friendly and if they find anything wrong they let you know.

Wow a full service gas station!! I'm a Chevron cardholder and never knew this place existed. ⛽️ They pump your gas! 🛢 They change oil! 🔧 This is a repair shop that also has a great deal on tires. I had a nail in my tire and needed to get it patched. I'm so impressed with how professional this place is. The waiting area has a restaurant. We had an incredible lunch, got the tire fixed, filled up with gas, and got the window cleaned in under an hour! I will definitely be a "regular" here!

Following a recommendation from a neighbor I gave Bob Lee's a call for a minor repair. They not only beat the other quotes I had gotten but they were there kind of place that inspired confidence the repair was done right. Something not every shop can say. During my second (unrelated) visit I was treated like family (again) from the moment I pulled in. They will definitely get my business in the future. I have been to Bob’s twice now. Once for a flat tire and once for a bulging tire. My first experience was great. They managed to patch my rear passenger side tire so I didn’t need a new one. The tech that dealt with me was Richard. The second time I got a bulge in the side wall on my front drivers side and again I dealt with Richard. He has been fantastic both times and I came back the second time because of him. Richard absolutely deserves some kind of a raise because I’m telling you his customer service is the reason I went back twice. He makes you feel like one of the family and it’s just the best! The company itself is also great, fair pricing and friendly service from the cashiers.

Great experience overall. Had a nail in one of my tires. Was told by another store that it couldn't be fixed and that I had to change my tire. And they couldn't get it delivered before days. At Bob Lee, they could get the one I was looking for (brand and model) in a couple of hours. When I showed up, they told me they could actually patch the tire instead of changing it. As I was ready to buy a $300 tire, I only paid $30 to get it fixed. Will definitely go back.

I found their service and pricing to be absolutely outstanding they actually have full service gas attendance as well. The gentleman pumped my gas for me and cleaned my windshield! Great experience! I experienced vibrations while crossing the Howard Frankland bridge and came immediately to Bob Lees. I have been a customer since Bob senior and I were in high school and knew I would get an honest opinion. Two tires with bubbles and all were 6 year old tires. At 4:15 when I pulled and knowing they closed at 5:30 I knew they couldn’t get to me before the next morning and called my wife to pick me up. While I waited for her and to my surprise they examined the tires, provided me with the news above and I was out the door with new tires by 5:20! My wife took the opportunity to fill up at their full service attended gas pumps (try finding that anywhere else) where she can be sure their is no chance of a credit card skimmer since the attendant pumps gas, checks tires, fluids and cleans the windshield. The folks at Bob Lee’s are always so nice. I came in with a wobbly, vibrating truck to get a tire rotation as I thought that was the issue. Turns out one of the tires was damaged and separating from the rim, which was causing the truck to wobble. So grateful they figured out what was wrong, and they only charged me a nominal fee for putting the spare tire on. They will also drive you back to work/home if needed while your vehicle is being worked on at no extra charge. And they have a cute bulldog behind the counter. So far Bob Lee's Tire Company has provided satisfactory service for my needs. The mechanic who worked on my vehicle went above and beyond from what he was requested to do, to point out a coolant leak I had known of and also a mount I broke replacing a part. He was kind enough to hand me an aftermarket stud mount and recommended on where I could go to have the broken part removed. They test drove the vehicle which made me a bit nervous but that is what they may need to do. The alignment was complete and the vehicle tracked straight and smooth as it could. Also had breakfast at their Orange Belt Cafe which was top notch good! If anything, I have since done a few more repairs like axle & sway bar bushings and ball joints too so I will have to get my alignment rechecked once again and see if it needs to be dialed in once more. Might even get new tires as well. Who knows. Hope I can grow my trust with this shop. So far so cool. My wife normally goes here whenever she needs something done with tires on her own vehicle. Since I myself have my own vehicle as well, I'd figure I would give this place a try and get an alignment done since I had replaced a few steering components out myself. Something simple really, just needed to make sure my front tires were straight and tracking true. Keep in mind this vehicle I own is a family hauler so I take servicing & maintenance very seriously. I also tow from time to time. I am very wary of leaving my vehicle in the hands of mechanics since I have invested a lot of my own time and money repairing my vehicle myself the best I can. I don't even let my friends drive my vehicle. But sometimes there are repairs that are outside of my capabilities or expertise that require special/precise equipment that is not feasible for me to have. Thus I am forced to head to a shop to complete the repair. It's just hard to find places that have the same passion about taking care of your car or should I say investment. Shops like V-Auto up the street has completely destroyed what little trust I have for independent shops. Especially when I pay for a service to then later find out the problem still exist or was never repaired. I keep their little keychain as a reminder. I guess I have ranted enough.

From my first introduction to Andy at checkin and his constant communication throughout the process... and the polished rims were a great surprise (apparently for all new tires) and then the friendly team at checkout... When you drive high mileage vehicles it’s extremely important to have a mechanic you can trust…and I’m thrilled to have found this at Bob Lee’s. I came in for a tire repair after being told by another shop it had to be replaced. Bob Lee’s was able to repair the tire, saving me significant money. Made an appointment for 10am, showed up at quarter to and was told that it would take 90 minutes until they would start on my vehicle. When I said that I had made an appointment I was told "...we are like a doctors office..." at that I did what I would do at a nice restaurant that didn't honor my reservation and wandered up to the nearest competitor who took care of my car in a timely fashion. If your not gonna honor appointments I would suggest not having that as an option on your web sight.

Went in for an oil change ended up adding cabin air filter. The tech changed the seat setting on my drivers seat so I had to get in glove box when I got home to see how to reset them and when I opened the glove box out popped a gear. The glove box was taken out to replace the air filter. I called them, after much sighing, the person I spoke to on the phone was very annoyed that they would have to look at it, (trust me no more annoyed than I was after driving home across town and now having to go all the way back to get it fixed) not to mention the time and gas involved. The tech came out didn't so much as speak to me just took the part, put it back in and showed me the glove box now worked correctly. I said thank you. The tech just walked away. Not even an apology for the inconvenience. I found the ladies in the customer service window very unfriendly as well as the staff at the check in desk. I guess I just am used to much friendlier service. The do have a great deli and waiting area and the deli people were very friendly and nice. I may go back for breakfast or lunch but doubt I will take my car back there.

While working at the Vinoy today I hit a piece of equipment and ripped the side wall of my truck tire out. As I’m from out of town I asked about where to go and was sent by there head of engineering Steven to Bob Lees. He told me how they used them all the time and to make sure I ate there. 😳 Eat at the tire place? Well as soon as I pulled up they came right out to my truck to see how they could help. I had put on my spare which was the original and I wanted to see if they thought it was safe since I had a 4 hour drive to my next job. I thought it wouldn’t last and they agreed. They found an almost brand new used tire for 65 dollars which new I paid 120 dollars for. While I waited I went inside and ate one of the best Cuban sandwiches and pasta salad I’ve ever ate. Then I filled up with deisel!! Talk about customer service!! In a world of bad reviews I felt the need to give a shout out to old school service. They turned a bad day into a great experience. I just moved here and was recommended this place by people I work with. I am a small business owner and I'm a huge on customer service. After getting so many recommendations to this place I guess I was expecting too much. Cause they have zero customer service. The guy I talked to on the phone had prolly the worst customer service. Good price it seemed but has I asked questions it seems he might be intolerable with them. He got a condescending and smart-aleck attitude. Why would I even drive there for service if thats what I get over the phone? **edit, I did end up coming here. I do not know if the guy was having a bad day or not. I sent my wife to get a tire and they were very professional and nice. They were super helpful and even have me a better tire for a lower price than quoted. So I will adjust. The previous owner of my jeep installed new rims with locking lug nuts. Naturally, he lost the tool and I could not find a replacement. Another tire store quoted me $250 to drill out the four locking lug nuts but after speaking with Andy (who provided the best customer service ever), they were able to do the same work AND rotated the tires for less than $100.00. I took my car down the road and not only did they not isolate the issue or find that my tire was splitting (another TIRE company) they hammered away at my axle and then gave it back to me when they couldn't complete the job in worse shape than when i brought it in. I took it to Bob Lees afraid that they did more damage, I ended up deciding on just getting a new car but they told me the issues with my car and communicated efficiently. I took my car here for previous issues in the past and had a pleasant experience. Its obvious why they're extremely busy. Reno is wonderful, highly knowledgeable! Great staff, great mechanics! If you are looking for a repair shop that knows what they're doing I would say come here and do not waste you money or time with these big chain businesses that will hack away at your car and then hand it back to you when they get in over their head.

BL was recommended to me by a neighbor and long time resident. A national chain repair shop down the road was very polite but took a look at my tire and determined the puncture was too close to the shoulder. The tec at Bob Lee (Richard) and the manager said you need to open it up to see the puncture from the inside before deciding it cant be fixed. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were actually cheaper than Tire Rack, and Bob Lee's price on new front brake pads and rotors beat another independent shop by $250. Today was my second visit to Bob Lee’s Tire Company and, as before, I was exceedingly pleased with their helpfulness and service. This visit was prompted by a recent oil change, tire pressure check, and car wash on my Fiat 500 that was (full disclosure) performed at a local car wash (my bad). That facility apparently stripped a gasket, which caused an oil leak. I stopped into Bob Lee’s. They inspected “Sweet Pea” (that’s my car’s name) on the spot and recommended a repair that took less than 20 minutes. The technician detailed the cause of the leak and, by request, provided the damaged gasket. And boom. Just like that. No more oil leak! The cost was reasonable. Helpful and caring staff. Air-conditioned (and clean) waiting area with beverages and snacks available. I’ll be back when I need tires, maintenance, or repairs. You guys are the best! Thank you!

They are efficient and will get you in and out as fast as possible. There are places to sit while you wait for them to finish with your car if you want to stay. They do occasionally try and upsell you - once I was told my windshield wipers were streaky and asked if I wanted them to be replaced after I had changed them myself not even two months prior. My son recently drove his truck from Boston to St Pete for college and out of the blue his car just would not start. After trying to get help from the dealership, I called Bob Lee's today. It's New Year's Eve so I wasn't very hopeful. I spoke with Roger who was amazingly kind and patient with me in attempting to determine my car's problem. Roger sent mechanic Daniel to my house (wasn't sure if AAA would get my car to the shop before the holiday closing time) and my serpentine belt was replaced on the spot! Had a few people suggest this place to me, it was clean, plethora of services, friendly staff always available. I needed a new tire and was almost on a flat, they instanyly tokd me to pull my car up and filled my tires up since they werent able to help with the tire i needed. So only disappointment was I have one if the most common cars on the road (Nissan altima), and they had no used tires at ALL for my car and wouldn't have new inventory for at least another week. Went right down the street to Olys Tires and got a used tire with so much tread it looked brand new for $30. Great place & experience, just lack of inventory in my opinion.

I went to Bob Lee's after several friends advised me to go there to have a grinding/shudder noise diagnosed when turning my tires. The manager, Todd, greeted me and was very kind and went for a ride with me so he could hear the sound. He had Jeff, a very friendly mechanic, lift my car up and take a look underneath. It was a piece of plastic that had fallen down and was rubbing against the tire. I came in alone, and any place could have easily told me it was a belt or something else and charged me and I wouldn't have known the difference. They pinned it back up, and for free! Thank you so much, Todd and Jeff! I will be back for all my future vehicle services!

Went to the Mechanic Side. Had a grinding noise when I was making left turns. I have had issues with Mechanics in Minnesota and always become extremely frustrated when I bring it in. They took my car in right away, a mechanic was ready to go at about 2:30 PM on Tuesday afternoon. They called an hour later telling me the issue and gave me TWO options. An expensive one to replace everything and a cheap one $86 that would also fix the issue. I have never had a mechanic give me two options before. It is always, the most expensive option. It was a relief to get this phone call and the honesty. Definitely going back. NIce work.

It says a lot about the faith put into a place when there’s always a crowd of cars waiting to get serviced any time of the day. I’ve trusted this place to do several repairs on my car over the years because they gave me the lowest price quote out of other shops in the area AND because I like the community feel here. The guys are friendly and communicative about your car but easily back off when you’re not interested in their upselling. The ladies are a bit more standoff-ish but get their part of the job done. There’s no real place to wait while your car gets repaired except for the little café inside (tempting you to spend more and eat) but luckily there’s enough places to walk around nearby AND they provide a free shuttle to nearby parts of town.

They are so very polite they say please and thank you and yes ma'am or no ma'am and are always smiling my complaint is the last time we went there they didn't cap off or refill any fluid except the oil. A week after getting the oil changed my hubby noticed the breaks were acting funny so he checked and the brake fluid was on EMPTY this is very scary to me considering he commutes to and from Tampa daily, and there was no windshield wiper fluid and the cap was just hanging there as if they considered changing it and then lost interest, I called and was informed that they should have filled all of the car fluids :( I was hoping he would offer to have us bring it back in so they could do the job right instead he said that if I mentioned it the next time I came in they 'may' give me a 'little' discount for this reason we won't be returning to Bob Lees despite home friendly they can be.
