I just recently had an alignment done through this Les Schwab location. I was pleasantly surprised with how fast their turn around time was. I knew however, that even though my alignment was complete, I was going to need to fix some parts myself within my suspension. I am not well versed in the area, but Ian was more than happy to take the time out of his day to show me which part needed to be replaced. Definitely went above and beyond for my servicing! -LP

Victor was SO nice and thoughtful. Amazing professional, what a nice soul! Today was raining a lot and I had a flat tire. They were not accepting more walk ins as they were fully booked. Victor made an exception and fixed my flat tire right away (removed a nail and patched it), no waiting. I’m so grateful for Victor and will definitely recommend Les Schwab to others!

I am so grateful for this location of Les Schwab. The south Seattle location completely failed me. I had gone in with concern because one of my brakes was making a terrible grinding sound. They told me I was fine and sent me on my way. It was still making the sound so I chose to go to the Ballard location. Because they had helped me well in the past. When I got there. They knew instantly that my back brake was not okay. It was metal to metal. And noticed that the other location had completely neglected to check the rear brakes or they would have noticed an issue. I was very grateful that the manager was there to validate my concern and worry. Thanks ballard for the help. And true concern for my safety and my car.

The employees and manager at this store went above and beyond to make sure that the suspension airbags that I had installed there were working as expected. There were two leaks, mostly which had to do with the installation package, and both times that I came in to get the leaks fixed they dropped everything and had me back on the road within an hour at no cost. They also took the time to help me understand what they changed and why. Thanks a million Chris!

Most honest car service shop I have ever experienced. I am going to judge all other services by whether they are "les schwab-level honest". Seriously, I came in twice saying that i probable needed new tires and they determined I didn't need it and didn't charge me. They could have easily taken my money and instead we just honest. They said the car would be ready to pickup by 6; and when my friend dropped me off at 5:45, it was still sitting in front where I left it. They pulled it into the bay at 5:51; the 4 mechanics turned around two replacements and a repair, and handed me my keys at 6:00.

My car kept telling me to check my tires, so I took it to a place on 15th NW and they pumped up the tires and told me I DEFINITELY was due for new tires. Today, the same light came on the dash, and I headed straight to Les Schwab Tire Center in Ballard (the only place I've ever gone for new tires) and I was fully prepared to fork out big $$$ to replace my tires. Well GUESS WHAT? The fine people of Les Schwab told me my tires were just fine, but they did find a nasty nail in the rear tire. They pulled out the nail, patched up the hole, changed the caps on my tires, and even rotated them, and guess what they charged me? NOTHING! There is no need to go anywhere else for your new tires or tire care. They are an honest and upstanding company. I wish I could give them 100 stars.

I must give a good review to these awesome people who work on 15th Ave located in Ballard. I had one screw in my tire, they helped me to fix it and filled up the tire without charge anything, AND in their LAST HALF working hour before the shop closed!! We had a trip planned but a pothole destroyed a tire. Katie worked to get us in and get a replacement in one day. We still took our trip. We have always had excellent and respectful service from Les Schwab. They even once repaired a tire that Firestone said couldn’t be repaired. Highly recommend!

One of the inconvenient times in life when I have a nail in my tire, I do not even think of any other tire center to go to. At the Ballard location, Katy is attentive upon entering the desk area, friendly and helpful. Hannah repaired my tire and made sure all my pressures were to door specs and offered impeccable manners and professionalism. My expectations were managed well with my vehicle being repaired way under promised time! I anticipated a charge; however, they did not charge me. This is another way they continue to retain my loyalty.

Cannot speak more highly of this place. I will definitely come back here time and time again. I am 9 months pregnant and found a nail in my tire. We only have one car and I could go into labor any day and so we needed it fixed ASAP. I called three other shops and no one could help me out for days. Lisa (I think that was her name) answered the phone when I called her and got me in immediately despite the fact that its as about 90 minutes before close and they weren't taking any more new service for the day. They had my tire patched within 15 minutes and then didn't even charge me for it. What started out as a really stressful situation for me ended on a super positive note and I am very grateful for them for taking care of me the way that they did!

Went over this morning to get a flat tire fixed. Ended up replacing all my tires, had the rest of my car checked out and a bunch of the services were free and you can always go back for inspections and any additional help, the folks know their work well. Definitely recommend

I came in to buy tires, had an appointment at 10am & didn’t know what I wanted. I was given a good set of options and was told I’d be done by 12 but often they finished sooner. When I came back at 11 they were calling me to tell me my tires were finished. The mechanic gave me feedback on my brakes (in good shape, check at the next rotation), told me about some potential wear on my suspension that wasn’t so concerning now but might be an expense soon. So happy wit the no pressure information, and knowing what my next expense might cost is so helpful. So happy with the service. I was worried with the sale of Les Schwab that something might have shifted overnight but I was proven wrong today. Great, friendly service as always at this location!

Brought a flat tire to this shop today. Not only did they fix the flat... but they put it back on my car FOR FREE. I was floored. 1. I expected that even if the tire could be fixed, they would find a way to sell me a new one that I didn't need. Nope. They fixed it. Put it back on my front passenger side where the spare was. Put the spare on the back of my car. And sent me on my way at NO CHARGE. I was blown away. Will always use this store for any future needs. Blown away. Wow!

Awesome experience with Les Schwab tires in Ballard. I had a flat tire during the holidays and wanted to get it fixed asap to keep the car ready for travel in snow and ice. I took it in a little after noon when the shop was quite busy. But as promised, they had my tire fixed and mounted by the evening. They didn’t even charge me for the extraordinary service. Highly recommend! I know I’m coming back here if I need tires or other services.

I had a very frustrating experience at a neighboring tire shop last week after a big freeway blow out. They were rude, dishonest and frankly just a huge waste of my time. I walked in to Les Schwab on my way home just see if they had the correct size in stock and within an hour I’ve gotten incredible service and four new tires for $200 less than the independently owned shop quoted me. A great testament to why Les Schwab has been in business so long and continues to have a stellar reputation— I’ll never go anywhere else. Thanks Ballard crew!

The absolute best option if you run over a screw, hit a pothole or just need alignment or a new set of wheels or tires. Staff is great, they don't BS about wait times and they almost always over-deliver on the timeline. I'd recommend going on weekdays if you can. A Ballard institution to keep your vehicle rolling!

I poped 2 tires last night and got a tow to les schwab and left my car overnight in their parking lot, i showed up as soon as they opened and bought 4 new tires for $450, the manager was very helpful and my car drives beautifully now, i didnt realize how many of my cars provlem were co.ing from the balding tires but changing them out made a HUGE difference. They had my car ready an hour earlier then predicted on a saturday morning, they were courteous and professional

Great experience, Great staff, Great service, would definitely recommend. Took my car in this morning at 7AM when they opened. Didn't have an appointment. Knew I had something in my tire and was hoping it would just be a patch. Was told everything should be done by 9AM, i was a little skeptical because there were a lot of other people there already. I hung out in the lobby. Lots of open seating, free coffee available, lobby was clean and comfortable. By 8:40 the tech, I believe Steven, called my name, confirmed it was only a patch, handed me the little screw that was causing the problem. Told me everything was on the house, no payment necessary. I was very surprised, and had expected to pay something. Informed me that they checked the pressure on all my tires and was ready to send me on my way. He also informed me that they are recommending new tires within the next year or so, had a print out of the recommended tires and total costs. Never pressured me on it just provided the info I needed and sent me on my way. Will def be coming back, in and out, no fuss, great experience.

6 stars. I showed up, during the pandemic, with a flat tire, without an appointment and left 40min later with a repaired tire for free (my tires were bought at Les Schwab). You can't ask for better service. I would not consider buying tires anywhere else. My only wish is that Les Schwab did full engine/fluid service etc. They are the best, I wish they could work on all parts of my car.

Amazing group of workers! The beginning of the process was wonderfully as one of the reps explained to me the process and was very thorough answering my questions. She was very apologetic when she misunderstood something and very sincere the entire time. She knew Itd be my very first time dealing with something like this. I eneded up getting 2 flats and they allowed me to park my car there overnight so I could prevent driving it to the shop while roads were busy. Needless to say I stayed up super late and didn't get it there until 2 a.m...I had been stressing a lot and was worried about them charging me a LOT of money to replace my 2 tires. I shouldn't have because they were much cheaper than expected and they were fast and I definitely do plan on using their services again! I walked out less stressed and excited. next to impossible doing better than these guys with great service like this

I called to see if I could get my car in for a flat tire. The lady that helped me was informative and gave me options on how to get my flat tire fixed or replaced as soon as possible. I brought my tire in to drop off for repair and they were able to fit me in immediate! I was in and out in less than an hour. It really helped make the best of a bad situation and I couldn't be more thankful for their fast and helpful service! I highly recommend this location.

I stopped here this morning on my way to work to get a new tire, as mine had a screw in it and wouldn't hold air. I was immediately greeted by the woman behind the counter, who promptly took my info and logged the issue. She told me I should be in and out within 45 minutes, they would try to repair it, and if it was beyond repair, the guys would come out and discuss price options with me for a new tire. 20 minutes later, I was called up and told I was all set to go- they had been able to repair the tire. I asked how much I owed, and was told that there wasn't any charge for the service--just keep them in mind the next time I needed tires. The whole experience was quick, easy, and very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, and I will definitely be going back there when I'm ready for a new set of tires. For my personal vehicles as well as company fleet. Thank you for the great service!

Tire was losing pressure every so often so I came in as a walk-up. Arrived around 930a and was given an accurate wait time of 2hrs (not that bad). They had free WiFi and plugs so I just did work on my laptop while I waited. Clean interior. Turns out I had a screw lodged in my tire. They fixed it for free! Pleasant folks. The lady at the desk was super friendly and the mechanics were as well. I’d come again. :)

Looked kind of run down on the outside but I was desperate as I was out of town and got a flat. However, once I got inside my perception totally changed as it was nice and clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful. This was on a Friday and I came rolling in at 5 PM on my spare, but still they fit me in as well as others who came rolling in with similar problems after I showed up. Les Schwab in general takes great care of their customers. I bought new tires at my local Les Schwab a few months earlier, but thought for sure I would be buying a new tire. I hit a pot hole and tore a large gash in the side wall. NOPE! Still under warranty. They didn't have the same brand of tire on hand. They offered to get a new one on the next day when the shipment arrived, but I couldn't as I was staying at a hotel 30 minutes away and planning on leaving the next day. So they put an decent used tire on my car to help me get back home so I could get the new from my local Les Schwab. Thank you to the front office staff and garage staff who took care of me.

Unbelievable customer service!! I bought two new tires from them before driving to Reno for the holidays, they gave me a great price and tires were on quickly. A couple of weeks later I was run off the road by someone on their cell phone whom swerved into my lane, which caused me to run into a curb. My front passenger side tire popped and they replaced it for free. These are great people and they do great work!!!

Even tho the wait is long, I knew that and brought my computer with me. There is a very comfortable place to sit and study. The staff was very helpful and when they realized I had an appointment, they all got together and figured out a way to get me on my way in order to be on time to my event. Thank you for that!! Went in with a slow leak. They were very busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon, so my wait was just under 2 hours. When my turn came up, they were quickly back to report the bad news that the tire wasn't repairable. They gave me a couple of options, I made my decision (a couple of new tires), and I was on my way in less than 15 more minutes. Very professional, no pressure, honest environment. All of the employees I dealt with were courteous and respectful. Coffee, popcorn are complimentary. Vending machines with candy and soda pop.

Caught a flat tire on Christmas Eve. Called them at noon that day to ask if they could replace my tire. No more than 45 minutes later, I was up and running again! Their shop was full of people waiting for their cars and folks walking in randomly. This place is always busy. Today there was a 45 car wait. Parking is often nonexistent. I've had mixed experiences: an amazing, fast, and cheap battery replacement on one hand, and a missed leak repair that cost me a few hours of repair on a road trip.

I called ahead a couple of days before I wanted to get the tires rotated, and was told that despite how busy they were, if I arrived when they opened, I could get that done in approximately an hour and a half. I arrived shortly before opening time two days later, and the appointment was finished on time as stated. I'll definitely be back!

I can't give enough praise for the service. After realizing one of the tires on my SUV had gone flat, I called Les Schwab up with the expectation that I was going to need to replace all four tires (since it's AWD). To make matters worse, my cars tires are not ones which any tires shop or dealer keep in stock. After talking with the quite pleasant woman on the phone, she suggested that I bring the car down that same afternoon so that they could see if they could fix it. I brought it in late on a Thursday afternoon and low and behold, they could and did! Even better I was in and out within an hour, despite there being several other customers also having their cars worked on. While I could go on... to make a long story short, the staff here seems quite helpful, seems to want to get you on the road ASAP without taking you for a ride (financially speaking). Next time I need some help with my tires (or new ones), I know where I'll be going.

WONDERFUL experience! Judy sure knows how to handle customer service and the mechanics are on point💪 I went in because I suspected something was wrong with my rear driver-side tire and sure enough there was a screw slowly deflating it. The patch up took a lot less time than they estimated, and I was able to get on with my day quickly! The cherry on-top of this marvelous experience was that they comped the service🙌 Guess where I'm getting my next set of tires at... yup, Les Schwab Tire Center in Ballard😉

I called early in the morning to ask if the location sold and installed car batteries, and the friendly woman on the phone said they did, and to bring the car right in. I got to the location, and within 10 minutes they helped me pick a battery and had the installation queued up (all for a fair price, especially considering the customer service). A few minutes later, the mechanic let me observe as he replaced the battery (which he did with confidence and efficiency), and stayed with me to confirm everything was working as expected. I received top-notch customer service at this location, as well as quality work and a quality product, all for a reasonable price (heavy duty battery was $130, and installation was just $10). Highly recommended.

I don't know very much about cars and sometimes worry about being overcharged for a diagnostic this or a sensor that so I always go to Les Schwab because I know that they won't do that do me. They patched my flat tire and didn't charge me a cent for the materials used or their time. There's even free WiFi, popcorn, and coffee while you wait. Nowhere is more professional, honest, or helpful. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I love Les Schwab! They always try and help me out when I need it. They were the first place I got a credit line, even though I had no credit and no records anywhere and was self employed at the time. The freebies you get with most services are handy. Have used the location near n 130th st for years and recently the Ballard location as well. Both are friendly, HONEST and helpful. Have seen no reasons to switch where I get auto work done.

Pulled in, in the pouring rain to get a bolt out of our Jeep's tire. We had to wait a bit but it was fixed for free and the correct way being a Les Schwab they always do it right. I dropped off my Jeep this morning about a half an hour after they opened and there was already a long line of folks ahead of me. I suppose when snow is in the forecast, snow tires are on the menu! Anyway, I needed a flat repaired so when I got to the counter, the gentleman was so nice. He let me know that it was going to take a few hours. I live within walking distance, so no problem, but they actually have a very comfortable waiting room if you were smarter than me and got there when they opened. They called me on the phone a couple hours later and let me know I could pick up my Jeep. When I got there, I pulled out my wallet and got serious sticker shock. ZERO dollars! What? The woman behind the counter said, no problem, happy holidays! You can bet I'll be taking a lot more business to them.

Had a slow leak in my tire and they were able to take me in as a walk in while a few other shops could not. They called me when it was ready in just a couple hours. I walked in and they handed me my keys with my receipt and told me my truck was good to go and out back like it was no big deal. I was shocked; I looked at my receipt and though the "charge" was $20, they credited it as a complimentary charge. A little goes a long way and it really made my day. You may have a bit of a wait as the shop is very busy and doesn’t, generally, take appointments. The upside is they do minor repairs like fixing slow leaks for free, it seems. Everyone there is friendly and competent. Will certainly head there when I need to replace my tires. Thanks guys!

I have been going to this shop for over 30 years and I have never had a bad experience here. The only negative I can think of is that sometimes the wait can be long when they are busy. Which is often. But that is because they have such a great reputation in the area. And i dont mind waiting for good work. I have gone in multiple times and walked out without paying a dime. Great customer service and in my opinion, very trustworthy. I will continue to go there as long as it is open

I would have given you more stars if I could. They repaired a nail hole in my Jeep tire on a busy Saturday that Pep Boys said was not repairable. I believe Pep Boys was trying to get me to buy a new tire. Pep Boys was going to charge me $25.00 but Les Schwab did it for free. When I offered a cash tip for doing this he just said instead of a tip how about you bring in your Jeep when it needs to be worked on. I have my own "Les Schwab Story:" I was transporting a chipper on a trailer last Sunday when the tire separated from the rim. I could not get help from AAA and finally jacked up the trailer and took the tire to Firestone because the local tire stores, including Les Schwab in Ballard, were closed. The two guys there told me that it was better to replace the wheel and tire, so I called a dozen places without luck. Finally, I convinced them to try to mount the tire. They gave it a half-hearted effort and told me that it could not be mounted. Today I called the Ballard Les Schwab and took the tire there. Ten minutes later the guy came back with the mounted tire and said, "I put 45 pounds of pressure in it - no charge." When I protested and said I wanted to pay him, he merely replied, "We appreciate your business," even though I had not given him any business at all. I will in the future, though; without any fuss, he resolved my predicament that had spanned two days and many hours of frustration. Thank you.

Called ahead to make an appointment and was told walk ins only, came in twice and they couldn’t fit me in. Finally when I did come in I was incorrectly quoted. I left thinking everything I needed done was one price and luckily called in to only have my breaks done and the quote they told me on the phone was almost $800 more. If I hadn’t had called I would’ve come to pick up my car and would’ve been completely shocked. I know almost nothing about cars and I feel disappointed and taken advantage of from the service I have received. Update: Picked up my car and realized the next day that I was still having the same issue having a metal grinding sound and called back. The manager Chris worked with me when I brought my car back in and found out the actual issue and was kind enough to work personally on it with me. Had a more pleasant experience second time around with Chris and Katie. Overall though never received a formal apology about how I was treated when I originally came in and may not come in for future servicing.

I Love Love Love Les Schwab, just had another great experience there. Had to have my car towed because I had an encounter with a 'road diet' curb outcrop and the wheel was badly bent. They found a used good wheel and replaced the bad one, inflated the flat tire, had me on my way in under an hour, and the total charge was $55! Everyone friendly, a great company.

I brought my car in for a check on an odd brake behavior and received a quote for replacing brake cylinder and pads for $1000.00 plus 2 other quotes for a total of $3.5k. For all I know that is a normal price but I didn't have the cash so I ordered new pads, and a brand new brake cylinder and brake fluid etc... plus all the tools (jack, wrench, bleeding kit, etc) for all in under $250.00. It took a bit of my time Saturday by myself but I was surprised they marked up the parts as much as it appeared on their invoices(+200%), I figured I would only save on labor but ended up with new tools and a fixed car. I've been to many Les Schwab's and normally I am very satisfied but I felt kinda of tricked after seeing about 50-80% of the life left in my pads and nothing wrong with my rotors at this location.

I arrived before 11am for a flat tire repair. I asked how long it would take and they said two hours, so, around 1PM. I asked if they could make sure to re-engage the 4WD, and the woman made a note on the paper to do so.I came back at 12:30 and asked how the queue was looking. A guy tossed a chocolate in his mouth and said, "There are eight cars ahead of you."I asked what that meant, time-wise. He said another hour and a half to two hours, so, as late as 2:30.I went for a walk through Ballard and came back at 2PM and my car was still in its original place. They started work on it at about 3:15, at which point I got in the line of people who had begun arriving to pick up their cars. I got out of there at 3:30.None of the employees were rude, they were just seemed a little ambivalent about customer service.My flat tire repair was done, but the 4WD was not re-engaged. Update 12/28/12 - I went back because I still had a slow leak. I took their advice and arrived before 8AM. I walked up to the counter and despite there being two middle-aged staff members behind the counter, neither acknowledged me for about 30 seconds. The good news is that I was out an hour later, no charge, with a replaced tire valve.

As I went and visited Seattle for the day, they worked on my car and fixed the problem that had been plaguing me. EXCELLENT SERVICE, excellent people, kindest and most informative mechanics that I have had known. Fixed my inner tie rod ends within a day and left me knowing my car was fixed and secure. It's Saturday noon, on an unusually rainy day in Seattle (no, really, extra rainy). After driving 4 hours from my home, for a day trip, I parallel park near my nephew's apartment. And ... I run over a strategically-placed, broken Coke bottle. Pop-sssssss. Nephew and I put on the almost-a-wheel spare and drive to this Les Schwab. After lunch. I mean, c'mon! It's 2 PM. At Schwab, there are 26 people ahead of me. I have a birthday party to attend way north of Seattle. Schwab closes at 5, and is closed Sunday. I would have to pick it up Monday morning. The manager, seeing my problem, gets that tire replaced in 10 minutes (tops), putting no other customers behind schedule. And it being a newish Les Schwab tire that was cut, Road Hazard warranty rendered it cost = $0.00. Customer loyalty? You bet!
