We've been going to Discount Tire Northgate for many years. The crew is always great - helpful and courteous and professional; they do what they can to assist you. The management/ownership, not so much. On our last 3 visits, there was a 20-30 minute wait just to check in. Today, we had an appointment and the work still took longer than expected - 20 minutes to check in, 1 hour and 15 minutes to mount new tires. If you are going, I'd budget at least 50% more time than what you expect. p.s. Don't call - the staff is so harried that you'll wait a long time and the incessant ringing just adds to the stress.

There is fair amount of competition for tires but still the prices seem quite high. If you are looking for bargain, best to watch for Tire brands rebates. About Discount tires, they have corporate policy to price match, and I did get the price match discount. But the person in Northgate store seemed put-off by my getting the discount. He sounded like the manager. He tried to add 'fuel charge' that was the same amount as discount. I refused to pay and he reluctantly agreed. After that I was somewhat unsure of taking my vehicle imaging he may do something wrong installing. Anyways all went smooth, someone else, very professional and polite helped me. The installation was well taken care. There was a balance problem and I had to bring it back and they corrected it. I would say, overall the experience was good. The stores are very clean and the installers are all very efficient and professional. I would certainly recommend over other stores as many ( including the Toyota dealer) could not get me the tires for the Toyota pickup truck and it's not very old. So 5 star to Discount tires.

Had a flat on I-5 and was searching for a tire shop to help out. They answered their phones where others didn't. They were able to get me in and willing to switch it my entire set of wheels & tires to my stock set. Free of charge! As I waited for my car to be finished, I recognized that all of the guys working, Caleb, Leon, Jordan, etc...were customer service oriented and so willing to be of service to others. It was great to see genuine customer service in a business. This crew at Discount Tire is a winning team and I hope their upper management knows this.

We LOVE Discount Tire. Every time, it feels like coming to a Mom & Pop shop that cares about you. We're always well taken care of, and the employees are always extremely courteous and effective. Recently, we went to fill our tires, and discovered there was nail in one. They patched it without and appointment for free. Another time, they helped me make the most of my tires so I didn't have to replace all four. I could go on. We'll be customers for a long time.

I walked in with a nail in my tire looking to get it fixed. I waited in line about 30 minutes, which was unfortunate but what I was expecting. Fortunately, they were helping those who had prescheduled appointments and car pickups, so do not fret if you're one of those! They were able to squeeze me in during the day fortunately. Car was ready about 4 hours later with text updates letting me know the status along the way. After it was ready, they explained to me what they did to fix it and that I shouldn't have any issues with the repair. They even inflated all of my tires as they were low! Best part, is the fix is free! It certainly builds goodwill and I will heavily consider Discount Tire for when I need to purchase new tires.

I dropped my car off in the morning and came back and the employees were still working hard at 7pm. Everyone was so friendly despite the long and busy day. I can see they are understaffed (like many businesses) and doing their best to help everyone even if they are overbooked! Wishing you more kind, grateful and patient customers in the coming year.

Leon helped me out today. We had a sidewall gash in our Volt’s tire. I brought the two front wheels/tires in and Leon was super friendly and helpful. In and out with two new tires mounted and balanced and our old good tire for a spare in less than an hour. Awesome!

To find an early appointment day was horrible. I understand that is pretty busy because of the winter season. Still, I got my appointment done and here I am. They call me up 10min before my scheduled appointment and from there it's been great and smooth. 1-hour wait for rotation and balancing.

I've been a consistent customer to Discount Tire Northgate for many years now. Employees are always friendly and accommodating and most experiences have been positive. Today however I showed up for my 11am appointment, waited 40 minutes in line (while people in front of me without appointments were serviced first?) then waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for a winter tire change over. In addition, there was no available parking in the lot so I had to park down the street and walk. I know sometimes delays/lines are out of our control but it seems to be a reoccurring theme. If it was possible to notify customers with appointments the current wait times/delays so they can adjust schedules accordingly I think that would greatly benefit the process. In addition, a check in line for 'Walk Ins' and a check in line for 'Appointments' would help as well. Hoping this is a smoother process next time or I will likely take my business elsewhere.

Discount tire has been good to me but this location is just so understaffed and wait times are crazy long and seems like the overworked employees just dont wanna be there when in trying to look up tires. Not the employees fault but something needs to get done to improve the quality of this store. Comparing it to other discount tire stores I would rather drive 5 miles north to the one in shoreline than this one next to my house.

Great experience here with getting snow tires!! Trusted their judgement and got me in during my appointment. Only thing is that it takes so long to get ahold of them on the phone. Called multiple times and waited 10-20 minutes with being on hold and not talking to anyone. Maybe they could hire more staff members to help answer the phone. They are always busy with long lines in the store.

I came here to get a leaking tire checked. Turns out it was a nail in the side and couldn’t be patched. Discount Tire gave me a good price for tire replacement and was able to get it installed within an hour and I was able to pick up on the same day. This was with a walk in repair that I confirmed they had time for beforehand over the phone. Very professional, friendly service. Definitely will come here again for future tire-related needs.

Mitch is literally one of the best guys I’ve ever met in the auto industry. He is professional, knowledgeable, calm, decent and truly care about your issues. He helped to find the most cost-effective solution and also tried to look for any alternative ways to solve your issues. Overbooked, way to busy, and they left my windows down on the street. Even with an appointment you should budget 30 minutes of waiting at dropoff and pickup. There's only one guy working the counter with a line out the door.

I was a walk in and had an incredible experience. I got there before they opened and got my tires in 45 minutes. They are definitely short staffed in the show room but Leon provided great customer service and was patient with everyone. Definitely be patient with them because the people who are showing up to work are doing their best. It’s extremely difficult to get on the phone with them because it’s one person working the front and there was a line of 10 people inside.

If you have a flat tire in need of a patch, these folks were wonderful in getting my tire back in good shape over the phone, in person, and over text (with automated updates). They were the only place I called that said I could come by the same day. The patch was even complimentary (tips accepted)! Great customer service here! If you have a nail in the tire in the red section, then they’ll repair it for free! If it’s in the other section, then you’ll have to buy a new tire but they have great prices here.

A lil pricier than I wanted but was able to only purchase 2 tires (some places will only sell you a set of 4 tires) We got a warranty so I believe if I have any issues with the tires I bought from there they will fix it or replace that tire for free! Great customer service as well the guy at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable!

These folks were great. Service was super fast and friendly. Not all discount tire stores are like this, but Northgate and federal way are wonderful. Be advised that wait times are very long this December. No appointments available for a month out. I arrived at 8am for a walk in spot and there were 19 people ahead of me in line. Still a great place, just a big wait right now.

Amazing staff and service here! That's why they are always busy. It is hard to get the all through as they are really busy helping customers who are already at the counter. I had few times with emergency flat tire. They got them done all within the same day so I could be safe back on the road. Will recommend to everyone and will use them forever!

Thanks to Cody!!! First of all the staff was awesome. They were short a couple people so very busy but still were patient and pleasant. Cody saw that the Online store had made a mistake in my order...not knowing anything I ordered the same size tires (I thought). According to the Online store they were, actually I had paid online for car tires for my pathfinder (truck tires). Not only did Cody work out a very fair deal he made sure they got them all on that day so I can once again take my husband to his many cancer appointments. Leon and crew were outstanding. With an appt, quick turnaround, nice job, great tires. Parking was difficult to find though, had to circle their lot till a car finally pulled out, just in time as another car pulled in. Suggest having those without an appt park on street first, then if they are able to service you that day, then move car to parking lot.

I had an appointment for new tires at 830a on a Saturday, showed up at 820a. I was helped immediately by two employees, one checked me in and one directed me into a stall. The sales guy inside helped me choose the right tires without pushing anything on me, he was eager and willing to help. I then waited only about 20 minutes and was good to go. Overall, super fast and super easy process. I definitely would recommend coming here in the case you need tires.

I don't generally post reviews, but I just had such an excellent experience I had to commend the team! Elijah & Patrick are the absolute best!! I am not very knowledgeable on tires and after talking to a few different tire company's (costco, jiffy lube etc) they convinced me to buy the most expensive tire even though that wasn't the exact tire that would be best for me. I was all set to go until I talked to Patrick whom was SO knowledgeable and helped me pick out the perfect tire for my car and that was also affordable ! Elijah helped me once I dropped off my car and he was SO KIND! Super helpful and AMAZING customer service! I believe Patrick was a type of manager but I hope Elijah is as well as he is such an honorary and kind salesmen. Wish this business all the best and will definitely come in again!

Made an appointment for 12:30 sat in my car till 1 pm. I went in for service on my tires for about the 20th time they kept losing tire pressure. This time I told them to fix the issue or in my opinion maybe they should get me a new set of tires. The amount of my time and theirs it would probably be worth the just putting a new set of tires on. The guys that work there are very nice and polite. I wouldn't normally bother leaving a review, but they fixed my tire for free and rebalanced it after I ran over a screw and drove in on my spare tire. In and out in ~20 minutes. Extremely professional, organized, and friendly. I will definitely prioritize them for any future needs.

I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience here was so fantastic, that I needed to write a review here in the hope that it supports this team. In particular, I had the pleasure of working with Jesse, who performed absolutely incredible work. He was attentive and quite thoughtful with any/all of my needs, and was extremely friendly and polite. It is always a bit of a stressful situation whenever you need a new tire, but Jesse was honest, did not try to push an upsale upon me, and was beyond kind & empathetic towards my situation. Also, he simply did great work on my tire. I could not have asked for anything better, it was perfect customer service. You don’t often have such positive interactions at everyday businesses, but when you do - you’ve got to stick with them. Today was my first visit here to this Discount Tire location, but it certainly won’t be the last! I would recommend this location to anyone needing tire assistance... especially ask for Jesse!

I went here recently to get a new set of tires put on my car. I have to say I was very impressed. When I called to make an appointment the week prior, they were very understanding and fit me in as soon as they could. I appreciated that. When I arrived, Terry was the front desk person who assisted me. He was very kind and took a look at my car. I told him how often I drive, etc. and he got me a good deal on my tires. Initially, he quoted me a higher price, but then got me a lower price. I really appreciated that, especially right after the holidays. I arrived at 9 a.m. and he told me they would have me out by 10 a.m. They actually had me out at 9:40 a.m. which was great service. Everything was secured and the tires look awesome. My car rides much smoother thanks to discount tires and now I will be able to finish running my Holiday errands without having to air up my tires all the time. Thanks Discount Tire! I highly recommend them if your looking for a place for new tires, tire repair, etc. I don't think you will be disappointed!

This is an excellent Discount Tire location. Whenever I have an issue, the staff are always accommodating, friendly, and efficient. I came in a couple weeks ago to have my tire evaluated as it had a small leak. When I drove my car after that fix, the tire went near flat. The staff took me in right away today, expedited the fix of my tire, and were courteous throughout the entire process. This location has a text messaging system which will notify you when your car is ready. Which is helpful if you leave for a bit and potentially miss their call. I usually visit the sbux a block away while waiting. Thanks for the excellent customer service as per usual!

Was able to schedule an appointment same day using their website. Customer service was excellent (Thank you, Corey!). Had requested repair service for left rear tire. Turns out it had to be replaced, but as it was under warranty, the new tire and labor was free. Only thing I chose to pay for was a warranty for the replacement tire: $12 including tax.

I don't have enough good words for my experience at Discount Tires - Northgate Way last Monday, 8/31/20. I had made a 1:00 appointment. When I arrived, everyone I dealt with was friendly and polite. The young man who worked with me and my red RAV4 was not only very nice, he ended up inspecting my tire, finding a leak made by a screw, patching it and charging me nothing. I couldn't believe it! (Only a few months ago at a competing tire place, I was charged $275 for one tire.) I am sticking with Discount Tire Northgate Way in the future. They are my go-to tire place. Great people - great work!

I have mixed reviews about this place. I checking online for a certain tire and it said it was going to be available on December 21, and when I got to the store on December 24 around 12pm my appointment time, they didn’t have them in stock. When I talked to one of the guys they said they would arrive on December 25 but where closed so I had an appointment for December 26 at 9am. Come to find out the store didn’t have the tires I wanted and I was waiting for and had to buy a more expensive tires out of my price and pay range. It’s just stressful and frustrating with store details and what’s in stock and coming in twice in one week just to get tires.

It doesn't look like much, but the people are what make this Discount Tire superb. They have a "we can do it" approach. Came in after seeing another tire place and the dealer regarding a tire valve issue. those others were looking for part replacements. This Discount Tire took the wheel apart, figured out the issue, had a few recommendations and DONE! no overcharging, they are knowledgeable, professional, could make decisions with the customer on the spot. This is the one place in Seattle to take cars, Sprinters, pickups, campers, anything--they'll figure it out and get it done.

Great experience. Had to special order my tires, once they arrived I was able to set up an appointment. When I came in and checked in, my vehicle was immediately pulled into the stall and work began. I left for a coffee, and before I was back they gave me a call letting me know the car was ready (about 35 minutes). Overall great experience, and the best prices with a great warranty/insurance. Highly recommend. (Appointment time was 8:00AM on a Saturday so your wait times may vary).

Have always had a good experience with going here the past couple times I've needed to stop by to get something done with my tires. The associates I've spoken with are all very polite and professional Only taking a star off because the last time I was there I noticed that several associates in the garage area were not wearing masks to protect themselves and others against COVID. This was mostly concerning because customers would have to drive their car into the garage instead of having an associate do it

Great place to buy and maintain your tires. I took my car in for a tire rotation and to check the TPS and tires since the TPS light kept coming on despite resetting and checking the tire pressure is correct. They found no leaks in my tires and informed me how the TPS works in my car (it's not in my tires individually like some cars) and recommended I go to the dealership service center to check the system.

Chris the assistant manager went above and beyond to help me with the tires on my RV. So much so that he actually did the work himself. I was impressed. Usually managers delegate work to other people but Chris assured me he would handle it personally and sure enough he had no problem getting in there and getting it done. I'm giving 5 stars because the manager is really great, I think he is the manager. My Lexus dealership wanted to charge me $799 to change 3 tire pressure sensors...discount tire charged $60 each WITH labor and computer programming. I got the pressure light checked prior and he was just really helpful. Being a young car owner, I didn't feel taken advantage of. The rest of the staff is friendly. It was taking more than the allotted time estimate and the manager personally stepped in to make sure it was going as fast as possible as I had to rush to class right after. He assured me he would get it done as fast as possible. My only complaint is that the guy who answered when I called, John, was a bit snappy at my at 9 am lol. But other than that great place!! Highly recommend.

My daughter had slow leak in tire and needed a patch. Les schwab wanted her to leave her new car overnight but the folks at Discount Tires got her in right away and fixed her tire. When she went to pick car up (2 hours later), she was astonished to learn it was free of charge! Guess where she is buying tires next time? Discount Tires at Northgate!

I had a great experience here when I bought a full set of new tires. Excellent customer service and help determining the best tires and price for my car. I don't know whether they have the rebates going on all the time, but I received two different rebates totalling $120 off a $600 set of tires. They did the tires while I walked across the street for an hour at the gym. Very happy with this place and will use them again.

5 Stars, seriously, maybe even 6 stars. First, their systems are really impressive, just from my phone call they knew me and my car and had all the information pulled up. Why is it that with a bank or cell phone company or whatever you have to repeat all your details twice or three times when a TIRE COMPANY is this organized? It really makes you think. We went through the problem with my tires (there was road damage), we made an appointment. Long story short, thanks to their protection plan/certificate (which they had all the details on in their computer) I got two new tires, pro-rated and almost for free. Incredible. No hassle, no up-sell, seriously, cool. Next, the Covid precautions are outstanding. They meet you outside, YOU drive your own car into the bay (unless you prefer not to), so no one ever touches the inside of your car. The inside has a bunch of fans running and some seating is there and widely spread apart. There's sanitizer at every seating location. Every employee was masked up. The personnel were highly engaged, very informative, and so thoroughly helpful. There were a number of small details that everyone working there went above and beyond to help me work through. Oh, and they have a drive-thru air fill station to help people out. Absolutely outstanding. Well done!

Typing up this review as I approach 20 minutes on hold (they havent even picked up to acknowledge the call). They're pretty nice when they eventually pick up, but this is pretty normal for weekends and holidays. At least pick up long enough to say please hold. edit: Bumping to five stars because they gave me a great deal on an extra wheel they had lying around, even though they didn't need to, and without getting anything in return (they did not know I was the one who left the original bad review). Also in person they were great, despite being extremely busy. I still think they need to step up their phone game.

These guys are lifesavers! I have to drive so much and one of my back tires was barely hanging in there, I was praying all the way to the tire store! "Please just make it to the store!" (Lol) I was totally financially unprepared, but they were kind and understanding and worked with me on the price. They topped off my leaky tire and fixed an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system in about 15 minutes or less. Then the guy told me that of i could comd back when i had time to wait they could check it out. I came back after work and waited my turn. It took a couple hours for my place in line. They are a very busy shop, but for good reasons. I watched then serve several other seemingly very satisfied customers. The guy at the counter was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. When my vehicle was ready the technician showed me the nail and screw that had invaded my tire. They took excellent care of my lifted 2018 Chevy Colorado with oversize tires. Best of all the repair was free! I have bought tires for my 05 Tiburon at another Discount Tire in Bend, OR. I will definitely be coming back to Discount Tire!

My tire pressure sensor went off on a cold morning so I took the car in for the free tire pressure check. The associate who came over was very friendly. They found a nail in one of the tires so the sensor alarm wasn't for low tire pressure due to the cold temperature. My quick stop-in turned in to an actual tire inspection and potential patch repair. The associate who checked me in for the inspection was very friendly. The inspection which then turned into a tire replacement was pretty quick with it being a mid-morning busy time. The associate that did the tire replacement was also very friendly and explained what happened. I dropped off my wheel for a flat repair and didn’t hear back so when I called they kept me on hold only to tell me oops someone recycled my wheel and my tire needed to be replaced. They are always awesome! If you come allowing for like an hour for them to do their thing they usually surprise you with how fast. But if you come in there stressed out and pressuring them, they STILL take care of you and do their best to calm you down. But these guys are amazing. I went in because my tires were a bit flat and needed to be balanced and rotated. They quickly found a nail and repaired the tire and balanced and rotated my tires, of course for free because I purchased my tires there. It was completely finished in less than an hour and there were people in front of me. The only not cool thing was I couldnt find the wifi password posted anywhere in the lobby. Discount Tire, saving my butt again! I bring my car there to check the air in my tires because I have a hard time doing it myself. I noticed one of the tires was lower than the others, so I dropped by to top it off. We noticed a nail in the tire! They offered to repair the tire at no cost, this is a normal service, because this company is one of the ones who actually care about their customers safety on the road. With the nail on the edge of the tire, I knew it was in a bad spot, and they advised they may not be able to repair it. Sure enough, that was the case, and I was in between checks. They were able to get a replacement tire at a cost I could afford and it was nothing compared to the peace of mind I got knowing I was going to be driving safely. Good prices, knowledgeable staff, but some service staff may not do the best job. I had new tires installed and then one of my TPMS sensors "coincidentally" failed. I don't think it was at all on purpose but I think it was likely due to carelessness. A 5 year old car that suddenly has a TPMS failure at the exact time that they do their work? Yeah, right.

I agree with Jeff. This place has turned for the worse and they need to go back to being the great store they once were. I had an appointment for 2pm and my car did not get in until past the time I was quoted it would be finished. I thought this store was better but obviously their system has a few too many kinks. They did however apologize multiple times for the delay when they completed the job which is why I gave them 3 stars and not 1. I hope they realize that no matter what scheduled appointments should take priority over walk in business and they need to be more consistent.

Great service done fast, and they didn't try to upsell me on anything - they even rearranged the tires so the two new ones I bought were in front and the oldest tire actually ON the car (from around 2014) could replace the aging spare tire (from 2000) and didn't charge extra for the shuffle. Also, if they can repair your tire (they could not for me), they will do so for free, so I recommend trying them if next time you have a flat, if their location is even slightly convenient to you.

Overall a good experience. They have always helped repair tire punctures that I have had quickly. Once they even took my car in after they were technically closed to repair a puncture. I like that they do not charge for this and other similar small services (I assume that this is Discount Tire policy in general?). They also have been willing to price match for me before, without making it difficult. That being said, a puncture repair that they did recently blew out and damaged the tire past repairability. They were willing to replace the tire at no cost to me without too much hassle, but then gave me two different times for when the tire would be ready depending on who I talked to. Overall, a good place ... not perfect ... but solid in my experience.

Very helpful staff, that'll help you pick out the right tires for your vehicle, purpose and wallet. If you have already picked out tires, I'd call ahead to see if they're in stock and if not, it took a day for mine to come. Or there's many locations so another store may have them. They also carry chains and wheels. The only downside is that they get really busy and it can be a 4 hour wait so call ahead to see how the day is going. I've had to use the road hazard insurance and it's much worth it, instead of having to pay for a whole new tire! I've gotten tires here for the last 12yrs and have never had a problem!
