I had to visit this location for new tires originally which was a seamless transaction . I received a great promotion where I received a free tire and a $100 gift card. I came back a few weeks later for alignment, both times Gabriel and all the staff were extremely accommodating as I had my 3 yr old son with me both times. Quick and efficient. Highly suggest for any tire/ brake service needed.

My mom had went out to her car to start it on a Saturday night and when she hit the start button absolutely nothing happened. With the shortage of employees across the nation affecting wait times my mom was concerned she may not have a car for the upcoming work week. Thankfully Gabriel and his team at the North Main Street location was able to squeeze us in on Sunday. When we arrived we were greeted by Gabriel who really took the time to ensure we were satisfied. Great job to Gabriel and his team!

I love my cars (Honda’s) lol. Always have had them and always will, atleast one. I’ve always done all the service on my cars but I had surgery a week ago so I can’t lol. I Called Valvoline, Jiffy Lube, Monroe, Honda, Firestone, NTB and the lowest price I got for a tire rotation and an oil change (I already had 5 quarts and an oil filter) was 50$. Tire rotations were around 29$ and the oil changes would be the rest of the total amount from them which was around 50. The premium oil change anywhere is around 80$ with a tire rotation included. I bought full synthetic motor oil and filter from Walmart for a total of 28$. I Called PepBoys in Providence and they told me that for them to do the oil change and filter, PLUS the tire rotation was 25$...ummm ok I’ll see you in 30 minutes 😂😂. That easy? Seriously? After all those high priced estimates from all the name brand places!? PepBoys is name brand. Why is it only 25$. There and not anywhere else!? Some of the other Shops I called wouldn’t even use my oil I bought, I had to use there oil and filter like NTB and Valvoline and BALISE Honda. Which I understand, I know Honda doesn’t do it cause they had some guy bring in the wrong oil and it was installed at Honda. So Honda ended up being responsible, so some places have a product they verify is for your vehicle so those mistakes aren’t made. Which isn’t terrible it just gets more expensive sometimes. I like Castrol GTX. I’ve ran it in every car I’ve owned and I’ve driven a lot of those cars hard (spiritedly). I’ve used other oils I just prefer it is all. But I didn’t end up having to get the tires rotated cause the tread was still high, and that the outside of the front tires were wearing uneven. I noticed this before, just nice that the mechanic also caught it. It did take an hour and 40 minutes, but they did only have 2 mechanics working in the bay the entire time I was there. I think it could run more efficiently and definitely be more productive if they ran specials and partnered up with a shopping center like NTB did with Shaw’s. NTB prints there specials on the back of The Shaw’s receipts... THATS GENIUS! I got my CX5’s oil changed there cause of the coupon on the back of the receipt. But overall I liked the experience at PepBoys. It did take almost 2 hours. But it was only 23$ and I got a bottle of water lol. I definitely recommend them and I’ll go there again if I have too.

My car has recently experiencing multiple issues over $1000+ work I took my care to Firestone south Attleboro and felt taken advantage of and the car wasn’t repaired properly. I was going through the roughest of time when I had blown my tire completely off and because my RA for my Car Insurance was almost $250 for a tow!! , I didn't have any self taught experience of fixing a blown tire and I knew it was already hundreds of dollars on top of what I did not have or could afford at the time.. Luckily through the energy of the world that before I had a mental breakdown something told me to reach out to the Pepboys near me. I was soo blessed by the service I received from this place! I got a Tow, they repaired my blown tire and installed it, with a few other added services FREE of charge! This place took care of me when I didn't know where else to turn. Very helpful staff was able to get in quickly and had my tires replaced while I waited. Technicians had the tires replaced and wheels aligned within 2 hours and the car drives great. Not only that the office manager was able to price match my tires and helped me find all the possible promotions and coupons saving my precious stimulus. Amazing service! After needing tires for some time, I finally got 4 new tires on my Jeep. Sergio not only expertly guided me through the process of selecting tires but I also bought a road hazard package as he explained the advantage of having this coverage. The staff was really friendly & helpful! When I came in for my prescheduled appointment for tire change Gabriel at the front desk was very welcoming. On 8-22-21, I visited 1246 N. Main St. Pep Boys for my 9am appointment to have a bulb replaced. Being a single female, I am timid when visiting auto parts stores for parts and services. Customer service was a 10 out of 10. I am the type of person who will drive an extra 20-30 minutes based on location with the best customer service. The technician was very patient, knowledgeable, and quickly performed the service on my jeep in less than 10 minutes. The technician made no effort to price gauge or upsell me – the cost was much less than I expected to pay. I will return to this location and recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much.

I’m so thankful with the manager of this store we walk in, my wife and I , we didn’t know that they were about to close we asked for a set of tires, the lady in the front desk told us they were closing and they would not be able to do the job but the manager walked by and he said let see if we have the tires you need and put them on. It was very nice of him and his assistant do that for us, I definitely recommend this place to do your shopping I’m pretty sure they will take good care of you as well they did with us.

My oil light had come on recently... not that long after having an oil change at a place that left me feeling a little unsure. I wasn't overly concerned and originally planned to just check it myself and add some oil. Then right before I headed out, I noticed that one of my tires looked low, too. It was hot, it was a Sunday, and I had to drive to Boston the next day to pick up a friend at the airport and then head to the Cape. I'm relatively new to the area and decided that rather than try to find a service station where I could check my air AND buy oil, I'd go to an Autozone or similar. Pep Boys was showing as open and so I headed over. Turned out that on Sunday, the retail part of the store was closed. But the service part was open. I asked if they could top off my oil and check the air, and the said they really couldn't do that--they did oil changes but didn't sell oil separately. At that point I said, fine... just change the oil. Given the fact that I wasn't completely sure that the last place had done it right, I was willing to pay the money. 10 minutes later, the guy (I'm SO sorry I don't remember names!) came to me and told me it was all good, and that I DIDN'T need an oil change. That the oil was full and clean, and the light only came on because the last place hadn't reset it. They topped off my fluids and checked my tires and sent me on my way. He could have lied. Many places would. Instead, he was honest. Didn't charge me a thing. He could have assumed I'm some clueless woman and taken advantage of me. The three guys working were good natured and I appreciated that they did right by me. I'll definitely be back. Thanks!

I had a great experience yesterday at the Pep Boys on North Main Street. The store manager Gabe was welcoming and attentive when I arrived. He listened to my concerns about my time constraints with the car, and was able to problem solve the issue and come up with a plan. I had to get tires changed and balanced, oil changed , brakes inspected and an overall check of the car. I am getting the car ready for my daughter who lives out of state. Gabe even offered me a deal that would be more affordable.. He assured me that Gersham would get it all done in a timely and efficient manner. You can see how well Gabriel and Gersham work together as a team because their communication skills are awesome!!! They seem to enjoy their work which promotes a good atmosphere in the shop. Gersham was able to get everything done promptly . He always gives great, reliable service with good attention to detail. He communicated clearly with me about what he did on the car and explained in full his recommendations on what to tell my daughter concerning any possible future issues. I really appreciated that because car concerns drive me crazy!!! I highly recommend Pep Boys!!! You realize when you are driving away that car issues are not so bad when you have really good people to help!!!

I agree with all the previous reviews , but this time I have to share my experience with them , after all there are two technicians who work there one and the most important one is the well experienced mechanic Eddie and the assistance manager Harry, they really deserve to have credit for there knowledge , and costumer service. if your car needs service ask for them to work with you and get the things done! I have my cars serviced from medium to high complex problems and always getting successful results. you will not regret some problems sometimes require a good mechanic and believe me Eddie is the one!

These guys restored my faith in humanity today. Basically, I got a flat tire. I went in to get a new tire. Instead they took the nail out of the tire, and plugged it. I was skeptical that the plug would stay in, but they wanted me to feel so confident that they plug was the best thing, that they didn't even charge me for the labor. I read the reviews so I was apprehensive but I am glad that I went. My headlight was out, I thought it was the wire since the light was turning on and off. The mechanic explained that it was the light and the reason the light would go on and off. I wish I knew the mechanics name he was very helpful. I appreciate you all, thanks for your service!

So Murphy's Law has been my passenger as of late, and Rebecca at Pep Boys North Main in Providence was exceptional. I am often intimidated in auto repair situations and she made me feel greatly at ease. Usually average help...Most employees are NOT customer service savvy sometimes they seem downright rude. However last time here one service person was very helpful and freindly (I believe they called him cowboy) his help was a pleasant surprise. They have a lot of stuff but you can't trust the associates to know all the facts. I needes a new battery for my prius and the associate tried to tell me i could only use this one type of battery that was more than twice the cost of the cheaper one with a remote starter/keyless entry. I did ny oen research and he was very wrong. Ive been here a few times and they dont seem to have a general knowledge of vehicle care. It may just be this location. For the store itself ive found some great deals. Sometimes you can get things even cheaper if you buy it online with an in store pick up so be on the lookout of deals on the website before you go in!
