J at the Mavis in Johnston RI was super friendly & attentive. My brakes were worn and they honored the lifetime warranty on breaks they put on 2 years earlier. He even went on to say my rotors were badly worn as well and because I was a good customer gave me a great deal on the total brake job…over $300 less than a local competitor. I couldn’t have been more happy with the great service, quality and speed, and most of all the great price!

Ordered my tires on Amazon. They knew right where they were and had no issues producing them. I had them delivered directly. Only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is because there was an issue and we were not able to keep my original appointment, but they got me and new one just 2 days later and made it right with a discount on my alignment. Finished in a timely manner and workmanship was great. Even called yo ask if I wanted the white lettering on the tire to face in or out.

These guys are fantastic! Despite being a very busy shop, Jay was able to fit me in and take care of my car where other shops weren't able to, as I was needing a full brake job and a challenging alignment that required the replacement of various suspension parts. Paul, the service manager, was able to correctly identify what was needed and performed the necessary mechanical work to complete the job. They were more than fair with their pricing as well and ended up saving me a ton of money to boot! When it comes to mechanics and auto shops you are trusting your life to them. I wouldn't want my car or my family member's car done by anyone else but mavis tire especially after I took it to what I thought was a reputable store in providence. After the sour taste in my mouth, nothing makes me feel better than knowing that me and my loved ones will be in a safe and sound car with no issues whatsoever. Infact if I didn't know any better, I would say the car i get back is better than if I bought it new from a dealership. Although busy I've never been turned away, they make my life easier and better.

Jackson made my amazing experience at Mavis even more amazing!!! I called mavis last minute around 2:45pm because ford had tried to squeeze me on brakes and rotors. John the manager answered and got me an appoitment at 3:30 and got me two incredible discounts. the truck took only a half hour longer then i was told and I had no problems with and he threw in windshield wipers!!!!! Jackson who handled the brakes and rotors walked me through everything and showed me what he pulled off the truck and was amazing about the warranty information!!! I will be back again and again!

Been going here for many years, most of the workers know me by name and make me feel welcome! John even took extra time to go the extra mile in showing and teaching me some facts about my car and tires which is something we both agreed should have been common knowledge taught in schools! Very kind and they made me feel like it was never a bother to give me the extra info I ask for. Another worker (can’t remember his name I apologize) gave me a ride home when I had to drop my car off for a few hours but didn’t have a ride home. Competitive prices too and when researching other deals Mavis still came first for a good price! Thankful for how they take care of my car, my car is not only my baby but also is important in making me money, so I’m glad they not only saved me money with the prices but also their timing was convenient (always communicated with me too what they were doing and how long it would take) in keeping up with my busy life!

This was my first experience with Mavis Tires and it was above and beyond what I was expecting. From my first call to driving away..... Tye is amazing, he is courteous, kind and very knowledgeable of what I needed, kept it within my budget and most importantly kept my safety as his first priority. I had a flat tire that had seen better days and my spare tire wouldn't come out. I had my truck towed there and he took care of it all, fixed my tire and got my spare out so I was able to use it if I needed it. Needless to say, I will definitely be going back there for my other tires/service.

My experience with Mavis has been nothing short of efficient, friendly, and most importantly HONEST service. I have been to two locations in Mass and RI and everyone has been super accommodating and helpful. My most recent experience at the Johnston location with Jay and Ty really has provided some perspective as to how dealerships really try to take your money. They really took the time to explain things and saved me a 700.00 job that I did not need after Honda tried to charge me for. Thankfully for them, my car is in good hands and they have gained a new customer for life including my oil changes and all other work needed. No more dealer for me! Mavis all the way.

Stopped at the closest Mavis tire in Delaware, they fixed my flat and then broke a lugnet and told me they didn’t have time to fix it. I drove to Rhode Island down a lugnet and came to this location. I use to bring my last car to these guys and they always got the job done in a timely manner, and right the first time, so I thought of nowhere better to bring my new car for break work, and while working on it they even took a look around the underside, and let me know about anything needing to be fixed or replaced even taking pictures to show me in person. The store manager john, even made an itemized list and a breakdown of each part and cost, and recommended which parts need more attention sooner rather than later.

Staff was very helpful. Had to get my wife's oil changed and got right in at my expected appointment time. Took about 45 minutes but they did a 12 inspection for us and pointed out any concerns. The cost is a great value compared to the competitor's. Thanks guys! Also, nice waiting area inside or you can walk around and check out the park right down the street or grab a Dells lemonade across the street.

Had a major trailer emergency on 295. Worst case scenario...hungry toddler, 95 degrees, boat on trailer, trailer reg expired etc etc etc. Took an exit and there was a town fair tire right there so we felt lucky and pulled in. Town fair basically told us they were booked for the day and to try down the Rd. Ended up at Mavis tire and we were treated amazing. They banged out the job in minutes and all it needed was a new valve they also checked the wheel and tire thoroughly and aired up the others. They are heroes and allstars. Very helpful. I will return here for sure. Never going to town fair ever again.

Had an appoint to have tires mounted today. I arrived early and was greeted by Jackson. He was super friendly and courteous. I informed him I was early and he said “that’s no problem we can take care of you”. We had a brief conversation about mounting and balancing tires. I explained how I wanted the white letters on the outside for my new tires, and we were all set. These were for a classic Ford, so always raised white letters out. He told me I could come back in an hour they’d be ready. I arrived an hour later and as promised they were ready to. I highly recommend Mavis Tire in Johnston. If you want to go to an establishment where customer service still means something, this is the place to go. I will be back.

I had a great experience going to Mavis. I needed to replace all four of my tires on my Acura MDX. I actually went here because my grandparents recommended it, and they are really picky! I was treated like a human, not just a customer. No products or “up sells” were pushed at me, which I appreciate because unexpectedly having to buy four tires was enough. The staff was knowledgeable and patient when explaining differences in tires and pricing to me, and they even set up a quote for another issue with car. I appreciate that, although I need to fix something else on my car, they were honest and said it “didn’t need to be done right away and could wait a few months”. I always appreciate honesty when it comes to dealing with car issues. I will absolutely go back when I need to replace tires on my Subaru!

Came to Rhode Island for the weekend and popped a tire on the way up. Needed a new tire and NTB got me in and put on a new tire easily. I dealt with John and he was great. He checked all my tires and decided it would be best for me to get a cheap tire because the wear and tear on my other ones was enough that I shouldn't waste my money getting a great tire. I respected John's expertise and commend him for his service. I don't know anything about tires and he had the opportunity to sell me a $300 tire but rather got me one that was about $75 because that was in my best interest. Will definitely be going back to NTB next time something happens with my car. Great ethical customer service. They use their expertise to determine what is best for you!

Just sharing my experience with Mavis. Went in around 6 pm on a Thursday with a blown out tire. John, the store manager, helped me out right away. Was able to get the tire replaced and was on my way in about an hour. The Service Tech who I believe his name was Brian was also very helpful. They checked the undercarriage of my car to check for damages because I had ran over a piece of wood that had fallen off a pickup truck on the highway that caused the flat. Great service, and overall good people.

The service manager Jackson and everyone at mavis went above and beyond to help me out in a very difficult time. I had dropped my van off because I needed an oil change and I was having some issues with my brakes. Jackson called me back about an hour after I dropped my vehicle off and went over everything that needed to be done. The price for everything was far below my expectations. Once we agreed to have the work done Jackson had everything finished in less than 36 hrs. We made arrangements for when I can pick my vehicle up and pay for it. Unfortunately I lost my mother the next day and Jackson and all the folks at mavis were more than willing to allow me to come in and pay at my earliest convenience. I only had a nail in the tire, no big deal but want to comment on the service experience. I got there when they opened and the manager was very personable and so was the visiting manager or tech from another store (can't remember their names unfortunately). They took my car right in, found the nail, explained it to me and finished the work in about 20 minutes. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. The lug nut key was placed back into the holding case so I didn't wonder about it where it was later. And for those who may have to wait, there are a few places to eat within a 5 minute walk plus a grocery store and a Job Lot so good ways to kill some time. This all was in total contrast to the other well known chain just up the road, next to the Shell station, if you know where I mean. I've had two leaks fixed there in the past and each time it took over an hour plus their waiting area leaves a lot to be desired. NTB / Mavis Tire is now my go-to place aside from the usual routine dealer maintenance since the car is still new.

My vehicle kept getting worse due to hack jobs done at other mechanic shops and was searching for a new reliable mechanic that was going to rip me off.
