He explained everything clearly and even helped me pick out my tires/wheels while presenting me several options, giving me the best and most valued price. The tires he quoted me ended up being more and he still honored his word. Really love the welcoming atmosphere of this place when you step in with both Frank and Tony at the door. These guys really know what they’re doing and take care of you. Shout out to Eddie as well for servicing my Jeep so quickly! I will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone

Costco was not able to properly remove my tires because my lug nuts and lug key were damaged. I had two nails in my passenger rear tire and Costco referred me to Tire Empire on Hylan Blvd. I was greeted instantly and told to park my car in the lot and give them my car key at the office. Not only were they able to fix my tire, but they changed all my lug nuts! Tony and the staff were amazing! Their energy is just so positive and welcoming! If you have any issues don’t hesitate to come here! They go above and beyond to assist with any concerns you should have. Some places act like they are bothered when you ask for assistance, but places like this one are so hard to find! Their prices are super great as well and you’re getting top notch services! Thank you guys again, can’t even explain my gratitude!!!

Early this morning I got a flat omw to work. Being so early in the morning I was advised to go to Firestone. Rather then attempt a repair they wanted to charge me $310 for a new tire that wasn't even the same as my current 3. I called tired empire and within minutes the gentleman on the phone Tony had a Goodyear tire for me available for pick up in the afternoon. Upon request I brought the tire in so tire empire could take a look for themselves. I was introduced to Freddy and outstanding gentlemen with great character who took one look at my flat tire and said "I can't fix this no problem". Freddy even had me take a look at the work he did so I can aware of what was being done and just put me completely at ease. I want to thank the workers of tire empire for their professionalism and outstanding class for not only saving me well over $200, educating me on things I wasn't aware of and outstanding customer service. I've been here a few times now, once. I blew both passenger side tires not far from these guys. Seeing they had good reviews I limped my car over. They were friendly and professional. They didn't have tires for my model in stock but they got them in and on my car in just four hours. I once came in planning to replace tires but they managed to patch them up and get me out on the cheap. Lastly I came in knowing I had break and tire issues. My problems were worse than I expected. Their priority was making sure I was safe and they did everything they could to get it back into my budget after the costs went way above what I was hoping. Again, they got my car rolling like brand new. I waited off location but they did have seating. You could probably find a cheaper garage, but that would probably be a mistake as they would have to cut corners. If you are having problem with your wheels these are the guys to go to.

This is the best place to take your car. If you want your car fixed right this is where to take it. They are excellent. They don't try to scam you and make you pay for work you didn't get or didnt need. There honest and explain everything in detail. Place is always busy and they have a nice cozy area with coffee, tv and candy. Service is excellent. Very friendly. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else! They have a parking lot where you can keep your car for them to look at. They did my inspection for me and I waited maybe 15 minutes not long at all

I have been going to Wil Johns /Tire Empire now for 40 years. Robert, the owner, who took over from his father is as honest as they come, which is rare these days. I currently have two cars a 1999 Volvo which has been serviced here since 2002 after the warranty expired and a 2014 Mercedes Benz whose extended warranty and maintenance contract expired and now is being serviced at Wil-Johns. Went to Wil John's for the first time Saturday 12/11/21 for my 2010 explorer. Rob the owner could not have helped me any more than he did. They corrected a problem three other mechanics could not and saved me a lot of money by diagnosing the previous mechanics poor work which I was reimbursed for. I will be a customer for life. Been coming here for 20 years. Trust no other for mechanical work on my 3 vehicles. And of course for tires as well. Their prices (tires)are fair and many times below competitors . Count on Frank to give you an honest opinion and suggestion. Best in the business I think. Very knowledgeable. The mechanics there are top notch. Robert the owner has a good team analyzing difficult mechanical issues and pinpointing the problem. In my 20 years I have been going there , not once was there an unnecessary repair due to a misdiagnosed problem. Not once. And there have been plenty of instances where I wasn’t even charged for a repair. That’s telling on how much they care about their loyal customers and how they work hard to retain them. And for Antonio the manager of the shop. The best I can say is he is the most knowledgeable, honest and fair minded manager that Robert has ever had in all of my 20 years of service . I busted two tires and ruined the rims of my car. A friend told me to go to Wil John’s to see if they can help. They didn’t have my particular after market rim. Tony took extra time and patience to call me to introduce himself and then sent me an array of rim choices. Because of the time I needed to have the rims, the choice of rims were limited. I did call the original company and they had two rims in stock. That problem was solved. However I was so impressed with Wil John’s courtesy and patience’s, I decided to buy the two tires from them. I (used another car. Lol) to drive from Brooklyn to Staten Island to get the tires. I didn’t get the price upfront because I was going to buy it either way from Tony. Turns out Wil John sold the tire for 50 less than the quotes i got in Brooklyn. So even with the toll I saved close to $100 on the tires. Tony was nice enough to put the tires in the trunk. Really like this place, clean and professional. II will definitely be back. Thanks Tony.

Have been coming there for years for repairs, inspections, tires, etc. I came for an inspection this time. I wss told how long I'd have to wait (very accurately) and was able to go about my business. They were short staffed and were honest about wait times. As my service was routine, the price was predetermined by law. But I must say that when I got complicated repairs the cost was fair and explained thoroughly. They also are courteous and helpful.

I came to Wil’s because I recently moved to NJ and my former mechanic was based in Long Island. I’m planning on driving down to Florida and my Uncle, who lives in Staten Island, said we have a great place we go to, why don’t you come here. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with my car, but given the long drive I’d be taking by myself I figured I should get it checked out. Once we got there, I was immediately welcomed and asked why I was there. The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and attentive. He took down notes and understanding the long drive I had, said they would check everything out and give me a oil change which I requested. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, I know I have been taken advantage of in the past and have paid for things I didn’t need. This place was the complete opposite! When I came back to pick it up, I was informed I didn’t need anything additional done and my car was good to go. They were professional and felt they were very trustworthy which is exactly what my uncle said. Although I live about 40 mins away, I definitely plan on coming back here for future service visits!! All around great experience!!

I came in to correct an alignment that was done by another shop which caused one of the tires to wear heavily on the inside. I also brought in new camber bolts that I purchased myself and brought to the shop for them to install. I think it was Vinny that did the work, he found the thrust arm bushings were shot which I actually suspected but completely forgot about, so I was impressed he spotted it and called me about it where as the other shop didn’t say a word even though it was a waste of time doing the alignment with messed up suspension components. Vinny ordered the part for me from BMW and also spent some time removing badly seized bolts. He kept me up to speed on everything, called my cell with updates and permission for anything extra each time. Overall nice people, excellent customer service at reasonable prices. Hats off to the owner for running this business well with good staff. I will be back soon for more work.

Wil John's Tire Empire is not just about tires - they do all kinds of work, but most importantly, they love what they do - and care about their customers. I been there few times with my old car, but they really helped me out with my current truck. I been turned from many dealerships before because they would not touch custom work - but at Wil John they keep my truck tuned in with all my upgrades, from taking care of everything from supercharger maintenance to tire rotation. Not only that, they would find and fix what nobody could fix in years, like a hidden leak in my AC. Custom parts? They got you covered too. Aftermarket? Yep, they have it all. Best team ever. I went to the shop after getting my tints removed by WC tint shop. I had to wait for a while to get my car inspected for the sticker. Of course I didn't make an appointment, so it was a right thing that I had to wait. However, staffs and the lady at the counter were very nice and they even did an inspection for free and thanked for my patience. I was really satisfied and glad that I came to Hylan Blvd all the way from Arden. I don't know about other jobs, but when I saw their photos from 1950s i knew that this place has good history and honor to keep. I would come to this place for other jobs in the future. At first it was because they are within walking distance of us, but they turned out to be friendly, reliable;. all the jobs were done quickly and price is very fair. They even "saved" us once when we had trouble with our car and needed to catch a plane. and they accommodated us by fixing the problem asap. Highly recommend.

Went here for a suspension lift install. Overall they did a great job. Only complaint was when I spoke to a man on the phone about what I needed done, he took down my info and gave me a detailed quote based off what I needed. I went in and they didn't have any info on me and the price was almost $200 more. Not a good surprise but I decided to still use them and it worked out. Just make sure you are the first one there in the morning or you will have to wait.

These guys seriously helped me out. Long story short. I went to a place on Hylan and Tompkins ave, 2 blocks away from the convenient store to change my tires because they were balding. I ordered from tirerack “Continental Extremes” 20 inch, 6 months ago. My tires were fairly new and I hardly drive my car. This other place that installed my tires, refused to do a wheel alignment, so those new tires that I had put on, would eventually bald very soon, and thank god I went to Tire Empire for an oil change. They noticed right away that my alignment was definitely off. Honest to god, they just saved me a lot of money. I would have to replaced those tires in the next couple of months. And tire racks warranty would be voided, because those tires are made to last 50,000 miles, and I only put 1,200 miles in 6 months. So thank you to Tire Empire. I’ll only go to them for now on.

Hey, these guys are great! I'd purchased 4 Michelin tires for my Lexus RX350 and also had the wheel alignment done. Now the steering wheel is straight as an arrow and car is riding smoothly. It's not easy aligning a Lexus vehicle, especially when it comes to centering the steering etc. This shop gives you a good alignment that comes close to being from the factory specs itself. I took my truck here to get a power step installed and it was a good experience. Vinny at the counter installed it and after thinking it was going to take more than a day he called and said it was dont a few hours later. I picked it up and after testing it out, one side wasn’t retracting all the way. So I took it back and Vinny told me to bring it in and was looking at it for a bit but got it to work. He was great in getting my step working right. And said if I had any issues to bring it back for an adjustment if needed. I recommend him and the service.

Santo always helped me with my modifications. Unfortunately, he is no longer there because of family reasons. The point I am trying to get at is that this place always strives for customer satisfaction and most of all, you will never be steered in the wrong direction with your car. Many mechanics will try to steal from you telling you that your car needs unnecessary repairs which could mean 100’s of dollars. This place...DOES NOT do that. But they were nice enough and took my information and keys and promised to call me after they took a look. Not more than an hour later, I got a call from Frank I think his name was. They patched it, which is the best way to repair a tire and the dealer would have used a plug. There was a screw and a nail in my tire that the dealer said nothing was in my tire even though every 3 days I had to add air. No matter what they do they do it well and give a fair price. Great experience. Woke up to a flat tire (pot hole), Tire Empire saw me right away. They didn't have my specific tire so they gave me a similar one to use until they recieved it (without even asking me to pay anything yet). Receieved a call the next morning that the new tire was in. Found this place through Google maps. Awesome. Tony and Pernell was on point and made everything go easy. I needed to do my yearly inspection and I had lock nuts on all 4 of my tires from 9 years ago which the key to loosen it was no longer good. The teeth were grinded down because of its many uses. Pernell was quick enough to cut off a portion of the key so that he can remove the lock nuts and perform the inspection correctly. Thankfully it passed and I bought new lock nuts and key. I'd rather be safe than sorry in the future. I recommend this place for any and all types of mechanical and tire work. I am a happy customer and will return. Wil johns has been my most trusted go to place for tire fixes, and any other issues over the years. They are very honest, friendly and transparent with all they do. An example of this is when i believed i had a slow leak in one of my tires. After 10 minutes, one of the mechanics told me it must have been from the cold air and the tire is fine. Not only that, they refilled air in each tire and No charge. Obviously i tipped the guy, but that goes to show the integrity that this shop is known for. Best in the business! Tony is hands down the most sincere, honest and kind mechanic I've ever come in contact with. I like wil Johns but I went there yesterday for a nail in my tire. I actually do have an issue. The mechanic working on my car scraped my front rim with the curb while parking it upon completing the repair. I didn’t notice it the day of, I noticed it the next day upon noticing the tire had rubb marks on it. That’s when I went back to the shop and they took care of my issue and fixed the rim. All in all not a bad experience. I needed 4 tires on my golf. The service was quick. They took me in and I was out in less than an hour. Pretty simple generic job. The bad is that they don't even follow their own advice on torquing wheels. There is a big sign in the work area that reads 'all wheels must be re-torqued after 50 miles'. I do 90% of all the work on my Volkswagen's, and I always check work that was done on my car. When I got home I checked wheel torque, which is something most shops just don't follow. I put the tire iron on the wheel and each one had to be 250-300lbs of torque when it only calls for 89 ft/lbs of torque. Quite obscene. I was jumping on the tire iron on every single lug nut to loosen them so I could retorque them properly. This is a danger just as loose bolts are dangerous. What does the average guy do if he gets a flat on the side of the highway, not to mention that over tightening wheels damages rotors as well. I was also not thrilled with the tech using a floor jack directly on my floorpan to lift each side of the car. There are spots on the pinch weld seams that are supposed to be used. Luckily they were in good shape when I checked. So my suggestion is to get a torque wrench and use it. Air tools are generally used to remove fasteners, not put them on. Every nut and bolt on a car has a torque spec. I also think a high volume shop like this should invest in a couple of wooden boards or something of that sort to put between the jack and body of the car to displace some of the force of the jack on the underside of the car. All of this stuff takes an extra 2 minutes and its done right. With that being said, the tech as well as the owner seemed friendly, nice waiting room and quick service. Would be an A+ shop if they could just tie up some loose ends. In closing, there is a reason my car has 160,000 miles on it, its called attention to detail.

Additional Review: Visit: 10/10/15 Well what can I say about the crew here at Wil-Johns that hasn't already been said in the countless reviews. Rob (3rd gen family owner) and Lewis (shop manager) are absolutely great people to deal with. I had an unfortunate issue with an aftermarket coilover (due to a manufacturing defect - bad welding) six days after installation. I had the installation done at Wil-John's. IT WAS NO ERROR NO THEIR PART but never the less they came to the rescue! Which in my book is a class act, there aren't many business out there any longer who operate they way do - to do right by the consumer. From the moment I had called them and explained that my coilover had snapped at the welding point (which disabled my truck) they worked with me to provide me with reliable / fairly priced towing, keeping my truck at their shop until my parts arrived (mind you with at no charge) and making sure that I was taken care of in a very timely manner. I arrived at 08:00 and was out the door by 11:30; this was from taking out the defective coilovers, installing new coilovers, checking alignment, test driving and billing. Rob and Lewis took tons of pictures of the damage my truck incurred due to the faulty coilover and documented everything so I have proof of damage and cost for me to go after the company who made these coilovers. Rob and Lewis are such great guys and Wil-John's is truly one of the last great places where they aim to please their customer base. When it comes to my truck I go no where else, I go out of my way all the way from Brooklyn and pay that damned toll just to have these guys work on my truck. -- Previous visit (8 months ago): Santo is awesome and he was very helpful in selecting if I should choose a lift kit or level kit for my 2011 Nissan Frontier. He got me the style of rims/wheels that I wanted despite some vendor issues. From the time that I had paid for the parts until delivery of items and installation it was 5 days which was amazingly fast. I'd highly recommend these guys. Nothing but professionalism and courtesy.
