It was already busy when I arrived just a few minutes after open but they worked through the line quickly and said they could have 4 new tires on my car in an hour. About 45 minutes later I got the text that my car was ready to go. While I waited, I saw a lot of people come in. No one wants to have work done on their car so no one wanted to be here, but the staff is so great that no one was angry or upset about anything. It seemed like a lot of people were returning customers who know they're in good hands here.

The entire staff was wonderful! I stopped in with a flat tire about a half hour before closing. They were extremely busy, and I was treated with such kindness. Every single person working there was exceptionally patient and knowledgeable to all of the customers. They explained everything that was happening and not once did I feel like they were in a rush to get me out of there. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Thank you so much!!!

The customer service reps working here were extremely professional, efficient, and friendly. While I was in line, there were several rude customers who had bad attitudes and unrealistic expectations. The guys working the front desk stayed courteous and composed - very impressive. I walked into a busy lobby at 9 am and was out of there with a new set of tires before 10 AM. Refreshingly great costumer service! They take pride in their work and it shows. They immediately greeted me, let me know how long it would take, and when they saw me walking back, they pulled my car around and waited by the door with my keys. Went in for a tire rotation, but my tires were in rough shape. I have 19" tires so they didn't have them in stock. But they found some nearby and a member of the staff personally went to pick them up! I had a busy afternoon planned, so doing that was above and beyond my expectations and made me super happy! I was back at the shop in less than an hour and they got my car in and replaced the tires in less than an hour! Extremely pleased with the service I received and very pleased with the staff at this location.

Brought my car in for a balance and rotated today. Got the car done in 20 minutes, awesome! Noticed the tech was a little shaken up, didn’t think anything of it. Got home and realized they didn’t balance the tires, still has old weights on. Also noticed the bumper was severely damaged like they hit a pole or another object. I drove down and told the employee what happened. He denied it right off the bat and said it happened in the parking lot by another customer. I asked if they have cameras, he told me no... I was parked next to a curb/median on the side that was damaged away from other vehicles. He said all they can do is submit a claim. Okay fine, I get it, protocol. I asked can you at least balance my tires like you originally said you were going too. He replied it will be another 2 hours. I will never use discount tire again. I will discourage everyone I know or talk to about them. Follow up: The manager call and apologized for the mishap, two days later, Discount Tires Claims department contacted me. I had to get a estimate done on my vehicle and sent off to them. I did receive a check for the damage. I changed my rating to 3 stars for them making it right.

Good prices, expert service and they have the tires I want in stock and I've bought cheapos for junker cars and Michelins for my good cars over the years. I've gotten tires elsewhere and ended up wishing I got them here instead. Shout out to Nathan from Gloria's dad for his help today.

The service reps are very helpful and informative. I am always impressed with how much they value customer service. They have a great warranty program as well. I had issues with a tire pressure warning light over a period of weeks. I had bought tires from them two years ago, so I had them check it out. They found the source of the problem and fixed it for no charge.

Iv been using discount tire for years but today’s experience was more than awesome. Andrew was the worker who helped me and he was so nice. My tire wasn’t in stock that we ordered the other week & he made up for it and got new tires on my car despite the little issue. He was so patient, informative & kind. Nice to have great customer service. They are so busy there but he didn’t show any stress and kept a smile on his face.

Fabulous experience I’m from Denver and ironically had two cars with tire issues on the same day (one in Denver and one in Minneapolis). I went to have my tire repaired and waited for an hour for them to tell me that it was not repairable, wouldn't put the tire back on and that my only option was to buy a mismatched tire. Only when I told them I wasn't in a position to buy a tire then they mentioned they could put the spare on and order the tire I needed/wanted. The experience started out nice and then turned into a lack of communication and what I felt was a trap. Lesson learned on my part. Edit: the manager was able to remedy the situation and was very compassionate. We both agreed that communication could have been better. I am not letting 1 experience ruin future visits. Thank you Nathan and Jarrod for making this a better experience 🙏.

The website was easy to use for finding the tires I wanted. Purchasing online and setting up the appointment could not have been easier. The vehicle was in the bay at the scheduled time and was finished in 30 minutes and the keys were up front for pickup. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My tires are getting up there in age and they’ve repaired two of them for free and never pushed me to buy new tires, they just make friendly recommendations which I truly appreciate. I thought I had two nails in my tires, need them to be repaired and needed a tire rotation. They did a good job and informed me that all my tires were good the nails didn't puncture through. The checked all tires for leaks for safety and even replaced a falty sensor. The customer service that Stephen and the employees at discount tires was great. I would recommend coming here for tire issues you may have.

I went to Discount Tire because I had a slow leak in one of my tires that I bought from Discount Tires (six months ago). I bought the insurance for my tires. They looked at my tire and told me there was a screw in my tire. They fixed thr tire and sent me on my way. I didn't pay a dime... make sure you get the insurance.

Nathan was helping the guy infront of me when I got there and I was impressed with his hustle and friendly demeanor. Then he checked out my tires and gave me an accurate estimate on how long it would take. He was incredibly nice to me and everyone else there. He hustled around juggling everything like he ran the place. I hope he infact does because he is excellent at customer service. You'll put the guy in charge if you're smart. My tires were perfectly fine 2 weeks ago. But I found out I needed some valve stems replaced due to aluminum caps causing corrosion. So I went to the Brooklyn park store. They didn't balance the tires correctly the first time. So I went back a 2nd time. And still my tires were out of balance. So I tried this location to balance my tires, and they did it. My tires are now perfectly balanced. 5 stars for great customer service and excellent work.

Alexander Brassard at the Columbia Heights location was amazing. I was originally calling to get information regarding what he knew about getting a smaller tire as I was in the parking lot about to purchase tires at a distribution center in town but he was so genuine on the phone and said he would love to earn my business that he could match the competitions price as well as install same day, which was huge for me because I wasn’t leaving the area until I could find someone to install immediately because my current tires weren’t doing well with the current snow fall that day so overall he not only gave me great feedback before making a decision on tires he was able to match the competitions price, he kept me informed every step of the way and most of all he was confident- in his execution of getting my (specific tires I wanted) delivered to the store that day and installed all within 3hrs of them closing! AMAZING SERVICE! And the guys upfront are very nice and hardworking!

Hung up my disability tag, and staff came out to my car. Flat was not repairable, and they gave me clear choices and reasonable prices. Worked in my emergency repair in 90 minutes even though they were busy. Nice people.

Great service! I ordered my tires online and when I dropped off the car I had ordered the wrong size tire. They called me to find a suitable replacement and I'd say I got a better tire at the same price. Since I ordered the wrong ones, they even went so far to find the better set and got them put on within 2 hours. I don't know how they did this, but I can say they are very good at what they do!

Recently bought tires from another place on sale (amazing price) but they couldn't install them for over a month. Discount Tire offered to beat their all in price by $40 if we returned the tires and went with them and they would install same day. This was a no brainer. Discount Tire got our business and tires were installed as promised. We continue to be impressed with every interaction we have with Discount Tire Columbia Heights.

Dropped my car off to get a set of tires installed. My window regulator had failed requiring me to take the door apart. The interior panel was removed when I dropped the car off. They told me it would be fine, the techs could still open the door and there wouldn't be any issues. When I came to pick up my car, my door was broken. The tech had pulled on something they shouldn't have and got it stuck in the locked position. The manager (Danny) apologized and told me the repairs would be paid for. It took a couple weeks to get the estimate and repair done, thankfully I had a spare car to use in the meantime. They did pay for the repair, as the manager told me. I will get work done here again, but I would hesitate to bring on a vehicle that needs "special" attention. It means a lot that the manager followed through on fixing what happened. I would recommend purchasing tires from this location.

Really quick and friendly service especially since I did not make an appointment. Great location close to coffee, food, and shopping. They have wifi available which is nice for playing games while you wait. I had my tire patched this time but I have bought tires before from this location. They didn't charge me anything to patch my tire which was such an amazing surprise! They said it would take an hour but it was just less than that. And it got pretty busy for a Saturday but I got there before noon which they weren't very busy. Great experience. Definitely recommend them.

I had a VERY good experience with the Columbia Heights store. I am a self-proclaimed high maintenance shopper that was looking for a wheel and tire combo for my new truck. I wanted to push the limits on tire size and they (Zach and Nicole) patiently worked with me every step of the way. Zach (manager) recommended and gave me a very good deal on a set of Goodyear Adventure that were in the wishful size I wanted. They installed them on my new rims and found that they rubbed a little too much. He quickly put my old tires/wheels on and sent me home with one of the new tire/wheel combo to see if I could trim the truck to make them work. I decided they wouldn’t work and they happily ordered me a smaller size the next day. A few days later I had a good size aggressive tire on some very nice rims. Nicole, Zach and the rest of the staff are TOP NOTCH to work with and really care about the customer. One additional thing I noticed is that even if there was a line out the door and they were busy, they would completely focus on you and your needs and not push you aside to get to the next person. This was both in the store and on the phone. Unlike Costco, they have dedicated folks to run the front desks and you don’t have to wait for assistance. I will be doing all my tire shopping at Discount Tire in Columbia Heights and would encourage you to do the same. Thanks!!

110% recommend this place. I've been coming to this place for years and I've never had a bad experience with them. They're always friendly and willing to help and make sure to set expectations on how long you'll wait before they begin. If you do need to wait a while, there's a target, Starbucks, menards, etc. within walking distance. About the service itself, all tires come with free rotations and they'll fill them up for free anytime you need and the have pretty solid prices from my little knowledge of tire prices.

I've made my last two tire purchases at this location and was pleased with the service. Came in today to get my tire checked for a leak. I got lucky on timing and got in right away which I know is rare when you just show up without an appt. I was in and out within 30 minutes. They found a screw in my tire, patched it up, and checked/fixed pressure on all other tires. Tech and salesman (Tim) were super nice. Awesome place...customer service is outstanding.

After researching for new set of tires on the web for our 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, we decided to try Discount Tire at Columbia Heights, MN due to price, proximity to us and other reviews with positive comments. Also because we use to drive by their shop and we had a general good impression. We decided to order the new tires online (you just place an order, do not need to pay in advance), with exactly the same specifications as the original tires we had on the car since new. Discount Tire did not have it in stock, so they had to order it. On the website, they say that someone from the store will contact you for an appointment but we never got any call from them. When I called a few days later, they said that they got the tires and that "it was good that I called in" because they did not know that the tires were for my order. My wife took the car for the service and was pleased with that - it took less than one hour and the service was well done. At home, I found out that one of the valve caps was missing, drove back to the shop and got it. On the invoice, there is a line saying that " the tire you have chosen is different from the original...". I asked the shop person and he said that this is a "standard" text that is printed in all invoices. Summary: #1-ordering online was nice and easy #2-the shop has no experience in handling online orders, they need improvement here #3-service was well done, congratulations #4-the devil is on the details - for a 100% customer satisfaction, they should pay attention if a cap is missing #5-they should change the text on the invoice - if I bought tires that are similar to the original, I don't think they should write that tires are different from original

They did a wonderful job and rose to the occasion when an issue came up. I purchased new tires, rims for my car and had them installed. The following morning a tire sensor light came on in my car, when I called them about the issue they asked me to come in any time convenient for me and they will fix it right away. I came in later that afternoon and they had someone fix my problem immediately even though they were really busy. I really appreciated how since I had an issue with a recent installation they would fit me in right away (and I didn't even need to ask) they just wanted to fix my problem and made it their priority. Went back to this store because my experience getting winter tires had been so good. Guy who helped me this time, was set on trying to sell me the most expensive tires they had. Wasn't even willing to discuss other tire options. On top of that, he was more interested in helping another customer who had just walked into the store. Basically rushed me away from the register so he can move on to the next customer. Very disappointed because it seems like the other employees are very nice and provide great customer service. Don't think I'll go back to this location or if I do, I'll make sure to go to avoid this employee.

I called the Columbia Heights location on Friday evening about a Saturday appointment. Zach took me the appointments were full for the day but they would have a full crew on Saturday so I could probably get in and out quickly. I showed up shortly after they opened and was helped within a few minutes of arriving. I had chosen an economy tire online the night before. The guy behind the counter explained to me why that may not be the best option for my car; but ultimately left the decision up to me. I chose to step up to the next level tire due to ride and noise concerns. These guys were great! They were fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I was in and out within 65 minutes. That was with no appointment! I only took one star off because the tpms was not reset. I asked them and they quickly obliged. Turns out my sensors were bad. It would have been nice to know before they mounted the new tires. I would and will return to this location for tires and service again.

Prices are good. Tire rotations are free. If you buy winter tires with the wheel they do swap outs for free. Prior to the pandemic I would go hang out at the Starbucks across the street.

I've purchased two sets of tires here, summer and winter. Both those experiences were very straightforward and very smooth. A month after getting my summer tires, I hit a pothole and the sidewall of my new tire split. I had the damage warranty but Discount Tire replaced it for free regardless because it was within the first 30 days of ownership, even though it was not a flaw of the tire or anything. I've had my tires swapped two times there, a free service, but the staff is always very fast, polite, and attentive, even when I'm taking up their time with a free service like the tire swaps. The business is just run very well and everyone who works there seems to appreciate that they do and the people who come in.

But it was just a cm in so they checked my other tire pressures and found out that my back left tire was 13lbs lower than the rest! They fixed it up and had me leaving all within an hour FOR FREE. I went to this location this past Saturday with a tire that was leaking air with a slow leak. Right away I assumed that they were either going to say is unrepairable or I had no choice but to buy a new tire. I was surprised they did not find a leak at all but because there was a slow leak they said they did what they could by replacing the valve stem and they kind of helped with some of the corrosion that happens around a wheel from salt and dirt etc. They did not charge me a dime for this and I did not buy my tires or wheels from discount Tire. No more leak and I am grateful. I believe that they are very honest ,they tell you exactly what needs to be done, and nothing more. You cannot go wrong going to a discount Tire if you have any issues with your tires or wheels especially this location in Columbia Heights. I want to say thank you so very much for the great service that you provided me and I am a customer for life, based on this great experience. Also I want to be clear it could have been other issues and they would have told me that and they could have tried to charge me money for this or that and said whole bunch of different things were wrong but they didn't. I know you will get the same service I did mark my words.

Quick service even on a very busy day. Picked out the tires on their website and scheduled an appointment to get them installed, pretty easy process. Got them installed 4 days later. Watch it though, there is a very bad pothole on east bound 53rd just west of their location and the pothole was so bad it wrecked my wheel and I had to get a new one, good timing I guess because I was going to Discount Tires to get my new tires installed when it happened so they replaced the wheel for $57.

Some of the best service I've ever had at a tire place. I called on a Saturday morning because I had a flat tire the night before, and they squeezed me in within half an hour. I had already researched the tire I wanted, and when I got there they charged me exactly what I saw online with no additional fees and didn't try to sell me anything else. Not only that, but I asked about a mail-in rebate from the manufacturer and Discount Tire took the rebate amount directly off my bill right then and there. Service was done in about 45 minutes, earlier than estimated. Could not be happier!

For the longest time, I *thought* Discount Tire was just some crappy tire shop that would sell you whatever they wanted to sell you at high-marked prices. I couldn't have been more wrong. I got a flat tire on the highway. Checked with Sams Club and it was around $130 for a single tire+install. I decided to check out Discount Tire, and found out they could do it for $90. Craig, the service guy at the desk, was extremely kind and generous. Offered extended warranty, as well as, offered to help me find a good oil change place nearby. I came back a week later to exchange that tire and replaced it with two, much better ones. Talked with a different sevice desk guy. And agan, Great Customer service! No questions asked - they took care of me very well - I was in and out of there in around an hour. They treat their customers very well, and it shows.
