Robin, the store manager, is nice, as are all of the employees here. However, I can't exactly recommend this store. They rotated a tire with a nail in it and a slow leak, and told me I didn't need to replace it--I assume because they only inspected the tread. I appreciate the attempt to save me $ (though they did try to sell me a brake job instead), but it backfired. Consequently, I had to go back again 3 days later for the leaking tire too. The tech was super nice, said he could patch the nail hole, and did so for free! Perhaps, they should not give you the illusion of an appointment, when this appears to be a first-come-first-served business. My 1st visit took nearly 4 hours, and I'm typing this on my 2nd visit at the 1.5 hour mark past my appointment time in this sad, little lobby. Robin did give me free road hazard for my 4 hour wait (nice!), but many places include that in the price of the tire. In short, if you can afford it, pay for a 1 year Costco membership instead and go across the street. At least they have couches to sit on. But, if you're pressed for $, this place might be easier on your wallet.

Wow! We are so thankful for the amazing people in this shop! From the phone call on the side of the interstate (with a blowout) to when we drove away from their shop with a truck that could safely get us home to northern WI, everyone was SO kind and helpful! They carefully assessed our situation, offered options for repair, and searched for the best deals for our situation! They “saved us” and we were able to get home safely! It was a really great experience and we just so grateful for Joel and his staff!

I had problems with my car as a result of another mechanic. Not only did they fix what was obviously wrong for a very reasonable price, the mechanic was instructed to check and adjust some other things that might have been a problem as a courtesy. It had been a really rough day dealing with my car and it was getting later in the afternoon with no appointment. I had to wait a bit, but I was totally taken care of, and this will be a go to place when I have problems again. Thank you so much!

If you are every traveling through or living in this area I highly recommend them. I was traveling this week by myself with two children had to change tire on interstate. Immediately started calling tire dealers so I could replace tire and continue on my way. I called 9 other places before calling Ken's. He was my tenth call I explained my situation, mine is a tire not kept in stock. He didn't have the tire at his location but called another location of theirs and checked with them. They had the tire he offered to get the tire and have me meet him back at his location or continue to the other location which was closer for me. After nine other phone calls he made a bad day extremely better.

Absolutely great. The men that work here are honest and make me feel like they are doing much more than just trying to sell me more things that i do not need. I came in as a walk in because I thought i had a major problem with my tire. They were extremely busy, but i barely spent and hour and a half here. They were honest about the condition of my tire/car and gave me accurate time lines for future needed work. They answered all of my questions and were very patient with me! I absolutely apreciate the people here!!

While I regularly go to this shop and have historically had positive experiences, I was truly disappointed during this last visit. I requested an oil change package that included tire rotation and car inspection for any issues (an $120 package!). However, when my car was returned to me, I confirmed they inflated a tire I knew was flat and was meant with a blank stare. “Oh, did you want me to do that?,” he said. He kindly asked me to pull my car back around and completed the tire rotation, inflated the tires, etc. He confirmed that he had inspected the car for issues as well, but I had lost confidence in his word by this point. Finally, when I got in the car, I noticed he had forgotten the window sticker to tell me when to return for another oil change! He very kindly obtained a sticker for me, but I now have no confidence in the thoroughness or quality of his work. As a girl who knows nothing about cars and needs to trust the shop I use, I unfortunately cannot return to this establishment.

I have taken my cars to Ken Towery's on Bardstown Road for YEARS! Always been well taken care of. I've seen multiple staff members and managers come and go, change locations, etc. But I always get treated well and fairly. I never feel like someone is trying to talk me into something I don't want or need. And they take care of my car fast, or are super upfront about when they can get it done. I am so pleased with this place. Had a mystery leak in my floorboard and they checked it out same day. They just needed to flush out a hose. That plus an oil change took about an hour and was much cheaper than I expected. I really only paid for the oil change. Dave was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely plan on coming back here the next time my car needs service.

I went there to have my brakes done. In the initial inspection it was only my front brakes that needed to be done but after another inspection it was found that my back brakes needed repair as well. While it was there mistake which they owned up to I did appreciate that they took responsibility for, I do not appreciate the length of time I had to wait. I understand that if you don't make an appointment, if your a walk in basically you have to wait until they can get to your vehicle but almost 5 hours is a long time to wait while work is done on your vehicle. While I did end up getting a discount for mistakes made I will say that, and the manager was very nice and apologetic. I probably would still end up going there again. Besides I have had worse experiences at other places.

Amazing service! I called them on a Sunday 10 minutes before they closed desperately needing a new tire because another place I had told me they were too busy to do it. First Gary told me to come on by and he would at least put my spare on for free so I wasn't riding around on a bad tire. Then when I got there he decided to go ahead and work late just to sell me a single tire and install it for me. He was extremely friendly and very honest and upfront about all of the pricing. I will 100% be going back to this location anytime I need any tires or any sort of automotive work period. Thank you Gary and thank you Ken towery's!

Great value! I purchased a set of tires here 2 years ago. Recently had a flat on one and brought it back in. Since si bought here the crew patched my tire and put it back on my truck FREE OF CHARGE. These guys are stellar. If you want to really be taken care of and pay less, get your tires here.

Gary who was working at the counter was such a BIG help. My niece had a flat tire so my husband and I took the wheel/tire up there to see if it could be repaired. He said he wasn't sure but if it couldn't he did have the tire she needed in stock and told us how much it would cost. After looking at the tire they determined that the tire was able to be plugged and did not charge her anything to complete the repair. We so appreciated his honesty as he could of easily told us we would have to purchase the tire. She is going to need new tires soon so she will be returning there to get them due to the excellent service and honesty we received. Thank you Gary and Ken Towery's for caring.

Found a screw in our tire on our way home from Louisville. Stopped in at closing time and the manager graciously fixed it for us so we could get home. We had a funeral to attend to next day and needed to get home. GREAT customer service. We recommend this location and will be back if we ever need auto repairs while in Louisville

I had a flat tire taking my son into school & the donut that I put on that morning already had quite a few miles on it, so I was on borrowed time, but on top of it, I noticed that 2 other tires were about to go too & so as soon as I could, I began pricing for 3 new tires & searching for help. I started at 3:00pm. I went through 2 stores that didn’t have my size tires, another store that attempted to overcharge me by $100. 2 more stores that were too busy for me & finally I went to a Walmart 20 minutes before closing & the mechanic literally chased me & my son out of the shop asking me if I had any idea what time it was & that absolutely he would NOT put any tires on that late! At this point it was 6:45pm & I was pretty upset by the way I’d been treated everywhere else, not to mention that my son had been out of school for close to 4 hrs & even though he attends a special needs school in Louisville, Ky-we live in Georgetown, Indiana & still had a long drive ahead of us to get back home. As a last ditch effort, I pulled into this store expecting to be yelled at, chased away or bargained with for extreme overpricing but the exact opposite happened. Gary gave me an extremely fair deal & asked Steven, the mechanic if he minded to stay & put my tires on & Steven happily agreed. While we waited, Gary proceeded to talk with me & my son & explained how much he genuinely loved his job & this made me smile. Unfortunately, it’s been my observation that being a patron to most establishments anymore comes with an attitude of general annoyance & rarely comes with any friendliness or even basic common courtesy. I would’ve never thought that I’d be begging a business to take my money, begging them to not price gouge me based on my gender & most importantly begging for any ONE of these places to care enough to simply help me & my son get back home safely! Gary & Steven were the only 2 people who actually DID care & also demonstrated exemplary professional etiquette. Considering that I arrived to this store only 15 minutes before closing, they were beyond fair on pricing, courteous, friendly, time efficient & did a great job overall. I would recommend this store to anyone who lives locally or from out of town, as well as, everyone that I know. Keep up the great work!

Schedule an appointment to get oil changes on two cars at the same time. It was super easy and very fast and they called as soon as they were done. I've taken my car to other Ken Towery locations in Louisville and they've tried to get me to pay for numerous other services, but this location was straight forward and didn't do any of that.

I've done business with a couple different Ken Towery locations over the years and just recently stopped in at this one and they were incredible. Knowledgeable, skilled, and overly fair on pricing. Glad I found my way here in a brief lucky window of no customers; I believe it was Raul, the store manager, who helped me. He was extremely friendly and helpful. I already had a specific tire in mind, it was in stock, also needed an oil change and 45 minutes later I was out the door. Probably the most painless tire job ever, plus he gave me excellent tips on sites to see on my trip to his hometown. I’ll be back (hopefully not soon!)

The Customer service here was excellent!! The Manager Rickey was on point and very attentive to my concerns about some problems with my vehicle. He even took care of a couple problems on my vehicle himself 🖒 It felt like family was taking care of me! I would recommend anyone and everyone here! I bought a set of 4 tires from this store a couple years ago based on their recommendation of my vehicle and it’s use. I felt like it was a fair price and the tires and installation have held up well after two years. I took the vehicle back recently for a rotation and oil change. Two of the wheel studs broke off when they were removing one wheel. They explained to me that this usually occurs due to over-torquing the lug nuts. Regardless, they replaced all the wheel studs and necessary parts at no cost to me. They earned a customer for life.

I have been to this location two times because their kindness brought me back. Instance one, I was heading back home from college when I got a flat tire the night before. My eagerness to get on the road led me to this location, and they could see that I needed help quickly. They changed my tire with no charge because the manager thought about what it would be like in the same situation. Instance two, my engine light clicked on one day, so I headed back over. A $100 diagnostic test was waved by the manager because the findings were pretty insignificant! Thank you too these kind people.

Was on my way through town for my wedding and my truck broke down. They analyzed it and diagnosed it quickly and were very friendly about the whole thing. Unlucky for me we showed up right before closing. They stayed till it was fully diagnosed so that they could order parts for first thing In the morning. Multiple people offered us advise on local hotels and offered to drop us off and pick us up in the morning when all the repairs were done. I felt with Memphis, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Did the work that was necessary and the. Informed me of the work that I may need in the next 6-12 months. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ricky is awesome!! went in with my Chrysler town and country that was leaking oil, they checked it out and said I needed the rear main seal, oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket total $1195 I had the work quoted by other shops and they were all higher so I brought it back to Ricky to get it done. he called me a few hours later to let me know I didn't need the rear main seal done after all and the total bill would be going down substantially! it went down by over 1/2 the original estimate, I have never had an auto mechanic that honest, most would have either done the work and charged me any way or not done it and still charged me. Ricky is a great guy and if he ever leaves that place I will follow him.

Ask for Rick Green. This young man lives this business, and he is all in with his personal commitment to providing customer service. I actually bought a battery from a different Towery location... had some problems with it the same day and my car broke down a couple miles from his location. Called his location and spoke to him, told him my car had just broken down and that the new battery was not working. He got in his car and came over to where my car had broken down and personally fixed it, right on the spot. He's earned a customer for life!

A huge thanks to Ken Towery! My son in Louisville had a flat and received a patch from Ken Towery 3421 Bardstown Rd Louisville, KY. However, the the tear was worse than expected so the tire was flat the next morning. When my son returned to KT they said he would actually need a new tire. I insisted that he should have the money returned from the failed patch or credited to a new tire. i spoke with a courteous young man named Patrick with KT, who responded above and beyond the call by saying that they would not only credit the full amount, but an additional $15 extra for the inconvenience. That's called integrity and excellent custom service and thats why I will always use Ken Towery! Thank you Patrick!

Went for preventative maintenance on my work truck today and everyone else was drop it off and we might get to it today. My line of work I have to have my truck as I'm on call 24/7. They got me right in and was done in 30 minutes and I was on my way. Service advisors were very polite and friendly. Spoke to us as soon as w e walked in the door which speaks alot.
