This shop is on a busy intersection (corner of Sunset & Van Ness) yet the employees here are laser-sharp and focused with their job (to maintain & repair the automobiles). They're very friendly, knowledgeable, and profession. Juan (is a young 28 year old pro) he's the very best I've seen in this field (coming from a guy who once wrenched). Need some work done; give these guys a call! ***when you call avoid pressing 2 (as the recorded message ask) just press 1 and you'll find a friendly reception from the other side of the line. Safe travels. #onelove

Purchased two tires and had them installed here. Easy appointment process and great service. They took the time and care of putting my donut back in the trunk properly. I asked to keep the old tires and they put plastic down in my trunk to protect it from the dirt and grease. I truly appreciate this care!

I can’t bring to explain how incredible the team is at American Tire in Hollywood. My starter needed to be replaced. Friday at5:10pm. Friday night before Christmas Eve. They jumped into it. Had the part delivered and I was out the door in under an hour. I am so grateful for how quickly and efficiently they ALWAYS take care of cars needs

I'm giving this place 3 stars, and that's being generous, but they repaired two of my tires for no charge. I was there for 2.5 hours though, and got there at the start of the day (I had a similar [not as bad] experience there once before). Today I watched one of the guys walk around doing nothing for 40 minutes, and when they finally helped me, it took two hours to complete the work. When I confronted someone as I was leaving, he said the guy I saw doing nothing was a mechanic, not a tire guy. He had fixed a tire of mine in the past, so I know he could've done the work. They wasted a bunch of my time today, so I didn't leave satisfied.

Bought two tires from TireBuyer and selected this shop to just get this done. Showed up at 3:30PM for 4PM appointment and quoted 1:30 hours for installation. I left at 6PM. Abysmal customer service when first walking in, shop couldn’t be located any worse, homeless milling about, just loud and dirty. The redeeming quality of the place was the young guy who installed the tires for me, thanks homie. I cannot recommend this place, for any reason. If you enjoy the mediocre things in life, please give this shop a call.

Straight forward, the quote I got on their website was basically what I paid with an additional service that I had asked to be checked (but was hoping wouldn’t need to be addressed) however that wasn’t the case. But they were upfront about the cost of everything, they gave a new deals and made sure I got all applicable coupons/promos and didn’t try to upsell me on anything extra and unnecessary. They had the car done in a few hours and pick up was super easy. The guys were all friendly and professional. Id definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good no BS auto care spot. I normally would never stop at a place like this this weekend I had to. The young gentleman help me out in a bad situation until I can replace replace all four tires. If you like buying brand name tires this is the place to go you get so much from them because they rotate your tires for free they do all kinds of stuff when you purchase tires from them it's worthwhile to purchase I'm tired from this company.

The employees are respectful, courteous and very helpful. They have put air in my tires, fixed a flat and we bought two new tires from them. They informed us that we needed new ball bearings for our car. They quoted a reasonable rate and we had them fix it. Car is like new. Asked if there was anything else wrong with the car and expected to hear a litany of things (like other mechanics have done) but no. As of now, just that. If you want to go to honest mechanics look no further. Very pleased.

Oh man, where do I start with this place. I spent 21 years in the military traveling all over the country and I’ve been to many auto shops in many states and none of them come Close to American Tire Depot. I drove my daughter from Florida to LA for college in a used car we just bought and we needed to have the car looked at. Someone recommended American Tire Depot and I am impressed. Albert is just amazing and kind. I was worried about leaving my daughter in a new city with her car but after meeting these guys and just seeing how well they treat people, I know she will have a place with take her car that will not try to upsell her or rip her off. They were able to get her car in same evening and diagnose the problem and when they were done they told me they couldn’t in good conscience charge me for the work they did. It turns out that someone had replaced her alternator and didn’t tighten the belt and Albert and his guys went in and fixed this for me. Thank you guys. I truly appreciate your work and thank you for taking care of my daughter.

We’ve been going to American Tire Depot for about 3 years. We really like the service folks. They always go out of their way to explain things and always give great service and also great prices. We just changed our tires on our Tesla Model 3 and they did a great job as usual. They got the tires quickly (since they were special and they didn’t have them in site) and installed them quickly. We will take our cars there again.

Was surprisingly impressed. Bought 4 new tires for the price of 3, plus a synthetic oil change for my car. Total bill was $445–that’s not bad. The service manager called me 3 times today to give me updates including other problems I never knew about (axle assy issues). However they didn’t pressure me to have it done. They were friendly, professional, and I didn’t have to wait in long lines. For two years, I have only lived two blocks away and never came to the Hollywood American Tire place until today. I’m usually not very trusting of mechanics’ and their price gouging, but I do recommend this place for new tires, alignments, oil changes, etc. ps. They give a 36-month warranty on tires and will rotate and balance your tires every 5000 miles for free if bought there, and they also will fix most flat tires for free.

Got a set of A/T tires installed here back in December. Customer service was great and still is. I subsequently needed to swing by a few times for some tire pressure issues and was attended to promptly each time. I recommend this location if you are in the neighborhood and need a good, friendly tire/automotive repair store. This is an updated review: These guys are still doing a great job! I want to give a special shout-out to Albert for helping me with my most recent visit. He was extremely helpful in getting my shocks and struts replaced.

I found this shop accidentally in a Google search when I needed to buy a new tire after an emergency flat service in Hollywood. The prices are fantastic and the service quick, cordial and as far as I experienced - thorough. They had me in and out in less than 2 hours and I got a great deal including (discounted) tires (I ended up replacing all four) and installation. They also offered a 3yr guarantee on all my tires above regular wear and tear. It was honestly, so easy. Location is super convenient - right at the 101S exit on Sunset close to Home Depot (corner of Sunset and Van Ness). It's a bit tricky to park but there is plenty of room. Highly recommend, especially if you are in a jam.

They evaluated my van in about 20 even though all the stalls were filled with vehicles.When I got a call with their diagnosis, they fully explained what was wrong with my brakes in detail, and what they suggested I have them do.Then I asked how much ,$650? I explained I only had $450, he reviewed the estimate again and we were able to agree on not replacing the fluid saturated pads with new ones and a couple other items I would have to do without,and my brakes would be fully functional.He agreed to adjusting the bill and work order to accept what I was able to pay.I was relieved that I could have the job done for what I could afford.I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for expedient good, personable service, at a reasonable cost .This is the third time bringing my vehicle to American Tire Depot and they still deserve 5 stars.

All was good except your location is seriously lacking for the amount of business you do there. The waiting area only has 3 chairs for customer seating, the guys working there are stepping all over each other, due to the lack of seating i had to stand outside where the guys are working. Major no no, i wonder what your insurance company would say to that. Customers cars are being parked on the public sidewalk to the point where pedestrians have to walk out onto the street to get past. You need a bigger location you would double your profit. This comes directly from one of your employees whom i was talking to, ( shall remain nameless). There you have it, you asked for my opinion like it or not.

I made an appointment the night before, but it hadn’t shown up on their system yet (?) they helped me quickly regardless, they had very kind customer service. I had a tire pick up a screw. I made an appointment with American Tire Depot to have it removed and patched if necessary. I'm not sure how long it took because it was ready as soon as I got back from breakfast. Also they didn't charge me. I assume there was no need for a patch and therefore a simple and easy fix. Everyone I encountered there was really nice. 5 of 5. Would reco and go back Updating 8/26/21 Sorry it has taken me this long to update, but last September I ended up having a blow out (something on the 405 + old, high mileage tires) I knew exactly where to go for help. I ended up replacing all four tires. Wish the bill wasn't so high, but tires aren't cheap. (the price was fair) The service was still excellent, still 5 stars

I’ve had suspension and brake work done here, plus had a new set of tires mounted and an alignment service done yesterday. Quality of the work is good and prices are good. One star off because each time the work took a bit longer than was quoted, and communication could be a little better. But I’m happy with my tires.

Great fast professional service. Better than other recognized stores. I went to Pep Boys to replace my tire. The waiting time was more than 3 hrs. The prices higher and the costumer Service ok. I drive 3 more minutes looking for other options an I found American Tire Depot and I got everything I was looking for. Good prices professional service and I was out it there with a new install tire in less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend. I think that is important to mention that it was around 9:00 a.m when I went. I’m not sure how busy gets later on the day. I’m a very happy costumer.

5 star customer service from Jose! I got my vehicle in early around 10:40am and he guaranteed it wouldn’t take more than an hour to put in a new set of tires and I got my car back at 11:40am Besides the fast service, he called me after I’d left my vehicle saying that the tires he quoted me were the wrong price, I was expecting it to be more but he said it’s less than what he quoted me and even the warranty is extended longer than what he quoted me. This ATD location has honest workers.

If it was possible to give 10 stars I would. I came in for regular car maintenance and found I had not been taking as good of my car as I'd thought... they caught a lot of problems early on after giving me a courtesy check-up. Great place to get your tires services. Good place and good service. They honor on line prices. I'm not sure if you need to make appointment but I didn't. The place is very close to Thai town. Home Depot and Target are within walking distance. That was where I spent my two hours instead of waiting at tbe shop. I had a lot done on my car since Juan took really good care of me. What I love most was that there was no pressure and things are explained clearly. Tbe car drove off like brand new. Greatly recommended!

Honest folks working here that made me feel like I was a special customer. I was in and out in about the time frame I was given. Maybe a little after but no big deal. The waiting room is air conditioned and it was much needed today in LA, it was over 85. The technician showed me personally what the tires looked like and pointed out a small oil leak. All was told to me with no pressure to have it fixed. Will come back for the work in the next few weeks when I have time to leave and not just wait around. Btw. Home Depot is with a block and I was shopping and return items while my car was getting fixed. Can’t beat it and the price was about 30 bucks cheaper than Pep Boys for my Mercedes synthetic oil change.

Albert and Beto were so kind and helpful - initially, after my phone consultation, Albert meant to replace my tire because it had a nail in it, and even ordered the right tire for me. But when I showed up, Albert was honest enough to let me know that given the placement of the nail, a patch would suffice. Came in with no appointment on a Friday evening in need of new tires and Larry had a look and fixed me right up. I also added on an oil change since I was there. Larry was truly excellent and took care of everything for me. I was in and out in an hour and the price was reasonable. I’ll definitely be back next time I need something for my car.

I took my car in to have a tire repaired. There was a screw on the driver side rear tire. I was told it was going to be an hour wait as they were short on help. I said okay, another place wanted me to wait 3 hours. Well, the 1 hour wait I was quoted turned out to be about 20 minutes. They patched up the tire, filled it to the recommended pressure. They also checked the other tires and fill them up as well. Not only that, my washer fluid was low and they topped that off too! This place did a good job of taking care of me and the process was smooth and easy.

They told me alignment was off so I agreed to do it and requested printout for record.. Somehow printer just not working , can only show me after alignment was done. Also I was able to stop the mechanic before he rotated my tires.. I had to tell him, I have two sizes different between front and rear..he can't rotate them.. service this time really put doubt in my mind if I want to come back here again Updated : Albert contacted me and really explained what happened. efficient, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. oh... and very patient. had 2 tires slashed by some yet unknown hoodlum who got in our secured, gated, underground parking and got 3 of us... didn't have any auto club membership for towing and didn't have money to pay for new tires anyway. went on internet looking at different options and came across these guys only about 5 blocks away. having had previous, positive dealings with other American Tire Depot's, of which there are many which is a good thing, I started looking at prices and found them to be very reasonable and competitively priced. added bonus, could apply for American Tire Depot credit card online, which I did and immediately got approved for $500, which solved my money issue. was able to get towing through my insurance and it was getting late in the afternoon, but called and they immediately checked stock for the size tires I needed, which they had, and they booked an appointment for me that day. long story slightly less long, tow truck driver was late and American Tire Depot said they were closing so I had to change everything with the tow company for the next day. next day came and American Tire Depot called me having seen that I missed my appointment and we were able to set things up for an hour from when I spoke to them. just to make things more difficult I asked them if they could have the car ready in like a half hour because I had a dentist appointment. they said they weren't sure, but definitely within in an hour. I walked home cuz it was that close and decided to change the dentist appointment, but in less than hour I got the call saying they were done and I could come get the car. my recommendation is go there, and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Albert and the gang at American Tire Depot were awesome! We thought we might have to replace a tire I had that kept going flat, but they would look at first to see if it could be patched. They said they would be able to order the tire for me and have it in by Monday if so (I have a 64 Galaxie with a white wall tire), so I figured that would be O.K. They were super busy (this was a Saturday), but Albert called me a few hours later to let me know I was ready to go. There was a bit of a line when I got there (again, Saturday early afternoon), and instead of having me wait, Albert at the register actually called out to me with my keys and said I was all set. I said, “but I haven’t paid.” He told me not to worry about it as it was just an easy patch. In a time of a lot of ripping off and dishonesty (and when something goes wrong with a vintage car, it’s often pricey and timely), this sort of good will and business behavior is a rarity. While I hope my tires hold up for quite some time, I will be back when the time comes, and I recommend anyone who wants an honest place to work on/replace your tires, go here. I could also hear conversations with another customer in front of me before Albert called me up, and I could just tell that this is an honest, hardworking place with good values. Bravo! Listen, you wouldn’t think it because it’s part of a chain of shops, but ATD definitely has a neighborhood feel. That’s largely due to Juan and the other gentleman that mans the phones and deals with the customers. You feel like they are really trying to help you and that they will do what they can to get you the best deal. In short, they seem like honest guys, and that goes a long way in the auto repair industry. I highly, highly recommend them.

At first I took my car to Honda of Santa Monica to get my tire patched from a nail that was in it and they lied and told me there was nothing wrong with my tire. For as long as I've been taking my car to the team here, which is about 6 years now (this was previously a Nappa, with the same team), I have always been listened to genuinely and given considered, expert recommendations for my old car. It's thanks to them that it keeps on going!! Managers Albert, Mitch and the mechanics are top notch, friendly and so helpful! They take the time to listen and explain. At first, having just moved to LA, I used to cross-check their recommendations with a friend who owns a repair shop back where I used to live. Every time, he agreed with the basis for their assessment, plan of action, and price. As an example of their honesty, there was one type of repair that, for the type of car I have, is apparently best done by the dealership, and they told me that up front, rather than just doing the repair themselves without telling me and leaving me with the chance that the car may not work as it should. They have never been pushy and they help me prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait. They have sometimes gone out of their way to help me. The friendliness and reliability with which I'm treated here makes this Napa shop a valuable part of my sense of community here in Hollywood. I'm so grateful to have them and couldn't recommend them more highly!

Two months has passed.. I was desperately needed for a new tires on my new set of 18" wheels for my Rav4. Albert "store manager" helped me out for the parts and ordered for me. I also informed the crew that I'm traveling to San Francisco the next morning, so his techs did inspect the tire threads and tire pressure checks for their customer's safety. A week later, I went back to the shop and I spoke to Freddy. He told me that the new set of wheels I purchased are very tricky and it may take awhile for them to install. Overall, they did excellent job. Mechanics are very friendly and took their task very seriously. One of their mechanics told me that he mounted the tires without scratching my rims!" I'll highly recommend this shop.

Stopped in on Friday afternoon for an oil change and noticed they were quite busy. I agreed with the guys at the desk that, instead of waiting, I would take the first appt the next morning, Saturday at 8am. When I arrived at 8am on the dot the next morning, two men were already sitting in the chairs with another guy waiting outside. I told a guy at the desk (different from the ones I had encountered on Friday) that I had an 8am appt and showed him the business card they gave me to prove this written appt. The staff member told me that “some other people were already ahead of me”. I was not happy since I made the first appointment of the day and wondered how someone could be ahead of me when they opened at 8 and I was there at 8. Armen came in and took over, very politely explained that the customers were carry-overs from yesterday (not sure if that’s true or not) and that I would be in and out soon. While I waited, he informed me of some other car issues I was already aware of and we worked out an agreement to get them fixed upon any return later that day, but I ended up finding a better offer through a friend. It took me 2 hours to get that oil change, but it did cost me only $25, so I guess it was a fair deal. Experience could have been better, could have been worse. I may give them another shot in the future, but as Jerry Seinfeld says, anyone can take a reservation...it’s KEEPING the reservation that’s the important part.

I had to buy some new tires for my car because they were very bald and I had to get them before they made damage or cause me trouble on the freeway so I stopped here at American tire Depot because I was recommended by a friend I got great customer service they have free Wi-Fi for customers waiting so you could check your cell phone while you wait and the prices were Fair and competent I got some brand new tires on my car and I was very happy
