Go see Johnny at AWT! I walked in the shop and was greeted right away by Johnny Phillips. Johnny was very accommodating, he answered all of my questions about the wheels/tires and kit I wanted for my 22’ Jeep Grand Cherokee. Finding a lift kit that fit the new body-style Grand Cherokee was a little tricky at first but rest assured the guys at AWT delivered and got the job done! Very happy with the results! I took my 2013 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD here after installing a 2” leveling kit and several other performance improvements myself to have my wheels powder coated, install wheel adapters and have my wheel wells trimmed. I had to take it back to have some additional metal cut away under the wheel wells but ultimately everything turned out perfect, I have 32 inch tires on the original limited 20 inch wheels. The powder coated wheels came out way better than I was expecting. I had my wife’s BMW 535 Wheels painted black somewhere else and this place did a much better job.

Great customer service!!! All their sales staff is great but Thomas is the man to see n speak to about wheels and size u need whether getting a lift or drop on your ride he'll give you great advice on what you need for your vehicle. Thomas went out of his way to find out what was available on my difficult '96 f150, in the end got "Wowed" when I saw what was going on my truck n seen it roll out of the garage. At the time there were only 3 shop employees working and busting there ass to get cars/trucks in and out as fast as they could; waiting was long but with the courtesy and staff being helpful I didn't mind the wait, but that's just me like a kid getting a new toy and having to wait just a bit for it. I'm Definitely recommending yall to friends and family; before landing here I went to 4 other shops 2 of which are well known tire n wheel shops even after my Houston known cousins advertised for them "Toyz R Us" I didn't get the courtesy I got at AWT, still waiting on a call and pictures of wheels that I can get on my truck from that shop(smh)😒 but I'm happy with the overall experience at AWT

URGENT!! I said over the phone to Abraham this morning. I didn’t notice until New Year’s Eve morning that My tires were bald. I called 21 locations around HOUSTON. No one had the tires, if they even picked up the phone. Finally, call AW&T and they said exactly.... “Let me work on this”.. 30 later he called me and had them on the way to the store. They were also 600 less. 1.5 hours later, I am all taken care of. The store is immaculate, the professionalism second to none, and most importantly- they took care of the car making sure no scratches. I will now only buy from these guys for all of my tire needs. They are life savers! I purchased a set of custom forged 21”wheels for a Mercedes online. I originally took them to a local discount tire to purchase tires and install wheels/tires. After several attempts of them ordering wrong size tires, and 2 weeks of being frustrated. I contacted AWT and spoke with JJ. I explained the problem and he said bring me the car I’ll solve it. JJ and his team in the shop examined the wheels to the car which was an aggressive wheel fitment. And on first attempt got I right! Perfect. Thanks guys!

I have worked with the sales representative Johnny a couple times in the past and he was fantastic. I bought wheels from him for a Cadillac CTS a few years back and also had a Retracs tonneau system and truck level installed on my GMC Sierra 1500 truck about 2 yrs ago. I had some issues with the tonneau cover a month or so ago. When I called to explain the issue they stopped me and said they do much more difficult custom jobs and that I should bring it in and they will get it taken care of. I spoke with Johnny when I got there and he got me setup to have the cover looked at and they resolved the issue (again, great service by Johnny). However, I just called in to have a toolbox installed in the bed of my truck and they said they will not install outside parts any longer. I am not sure if they don’t have the expertise any longer or if they just didn’t want to mess with it. Pretty disappointing though, as I felt this was the go to spot for installing after market parts to my truck (lord knows I spent enough with them to justify the business).

Good place, but unfortunately I got my bilstien shocks plus got a flow mast dual exhaust put in and they have yet to get an alignment correct. Not only the alignment, but check engine light is on for my cats after one month. When talking with Tomas who sold me the two things on my truck, He wants to keep my truck for a full day to do the alignment again. I appreciate the fact he wants to fix the problem, but I have taken that truck back there 3 different times after the work was completed. That's three days I have had to take off from work because I have no vehicle. I just wish work was done correctly and efficiently the first time especially since I spent 2500 dollars for this work to ensure it was done correctly. AWT fixed this issue. I'm so happy I came here! I took my car in to have my tires balanced at ANOTHER place. They told me my rim was bent and I would have to buy a new rim from the dealership which would be $940. I came to American Wheel And tire to have my rim fixed for $175. Upon checking my rims at American Wheel And tire, they informed me that my rim in fact was not bent and that my tires only needed to be balanced. Went from being told I need to spend almost $1000 to only spending $60. They were very fast too.

I had my recently purchased TACOMA lifted at another shop in town and only regret not having the entire job done at this store. There was vibratory issues with my new lift once I went beyond 50mph and the guys who installed my lift told me it was an alignment issue, which it wasn't. The place I had my lift install left the inside of my truck extremely dirty (muddy) and it is brand new. Furthermore, I had to take my truck back in bc they didn't install the tires as I requested with the white walls facing outward. I won't call out the place I had my lift installed bc if I don't have anything good to say I'd rather not say anything at all. With no appt at American Wheel and Tire, I brought my truck in and they diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes of talking with them. They corrected the problem and DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME FOR AN HOUR OF LABOR. Furthermore, I came in at 830am when they open and I overheard a meeting with all the employees in the front of the store regarding attention to detail and improving customer satisfaction. At the time, I believe I was I was the only customer in the store as they had just opened. These are the things the make a difference from a customer standpoint. I can tell these guys are true professionals and strive to maintain customer satisfaction. I definitely know where to bring my truck next time!

I just bought a new Ford F250 and wanted to have it lifted with new tires and wheels. I did my research but American Wheel and Tire was competitive and had extensive knowledge on the subject. They asked for two days to do the work and the truck was ready by end of day one. Johnny was my sales guy and gave great service! If you're going to have suspension work, tires or wheels done you want someone who knows what they are doing and AWT has it figured out. My 2017 F250 Diesel has never looked better. When I purchased my tires and rims from these guys last year they were prompt, friendly and knowledgable. They talked me into purchasing the warranty, which I almost declined. Now I year later my tires are worn and I had a leak in the left rear. I called them and they were kind enough to squeeze me in at the end if the day to repair the leak (it had a nail) and rotate & balance my tires, which was all covered under the warranty. My only regret is that I didn't use the warranty for regular maintenance, because now I have worn out my tires from excessive commuting (without proper rotation and alignment), and I have to get new ones soon. Thankfully the repair will give me more time. I will definitely be going back.

Thank you guys for making my tire install right. Balance is great now. May I suggest when installing 20 inch tires on wide BMW rims, have a 20 inch bicycle tire tube talced or soaped up around the bead to help get the bead seat started. Also rapping a lightly tensioned tow strap around the center of the tire can help seat the bead. Poking at the tirebead with tire irons damaging the rim finish can damage the tire bead. I see alot of this in HTown. The bicycle tire tube and tow strap trick will make you and your customers safe and happy.

Our golf cart was in bad need of 4 new tires and I shopped around online but I knew it would take some work to change out the tires myself. Thankfully Nang at American Wheel and Tire came to the rescue. Our cart tires are not a brand AWT normally stocks but there were able to have them delivered to the shop in one day. The pricing was in line with I found online and best of all I would't have to do the labor. Nang had the cart picked up from our home on Monday and it was delivered back to us within a couple of days. I will definitely look to AWT for all our future cart needs. Nang is the man!
