UPDATE: BOTTOM LINE, THE CALL CENTER CAN REALLY SCREW THINGS UP FOR THIS SHOP! THE EMPLOYEES THERE WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THE CALL CENTER NEEDS TO IMPROVE THEIR SERVICE AND WHAT THEY TELL CUSTOMERS. I LOST MONEY BECAUSE OF THE CALL CENTER... NOT the actual shop! Its imperative I specify this since the shop is unfortunately being represented by idiotic people at the call center. They were exceptionally kind enough to compensate for the call center's wrongdoing, something that wasn't even the shop's fault! After calling to get my tires installed, they assured me I could come right in and get it done (no wait) Well, I'm here and was informed there would be a minimum wait of 2 HOURS! It took 45 minutes to get here, my friend had to take time off work to bring my tires here (since Discount Wheel didn't have them nor could they order them) and now I'll be missing at least 4 hours of work today with the drive to/from, wait, and actual service. I'm literally losing more money than it costs to have my tires installed! All the call center had to do was tell me there might be a wait, that way I would've come a different day. I'm so furious with the call center (NOT the actual shop) while watching my check get smaller by the minute! ...THE SHOP NEEDS TO DROP THE CALL CENTER (IF POSSIBLE), TO PREVENT THESE CARELESS MISLEADING, 'MISTAKES' THAT WAY IT WOULD ONLY BE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. Even given the incredible frustration today due to the call center, I'd STILL DEFINITELY COME BACK! I'd just need to figure out how to confirm with the shop that the call center knows what the heck they're telling custoners PRIOR to going all the way out there. The long drive is worth it! THANK YOU TO THE MAN WHO WAS INCREDIBLY POLITE, HELPFUL, GENEROUS, AND UNDERSTANDING... HE MADE MY DAY BY TURNING IT AROUND, hence the reason I've edited this review from 1 star to 5 stars. ... THANK YOU

Seemingly like anything right now … having good products in stock at fair prices is a challenge. After spending about a week looking for new tires for my truck … Discount Tire & Wheel seemed like a great local company to try after failing to get the price or availability at the larger chain stores on Oahu. FYI their website isn’t accurate, I found this out upon arrival in-person. However, their customer service representative at the front desk was kind, personable, trusting & fair with prices. After deciding upon tires… I had a friend pick me up and the truck was ready within 2 hours & I was alerted via text message. Warranty options available on the tires and products … worth supporting a local chain.

Prices are good, friendly staff who are working endlessly churning out car after car. It's next to Regal Bakery, which you can see from the street side (go before 1:30pm and pickup a drink or donut while you wait!)

While visiting here I got a screw in my tire on my second day. Called here and they said they could fix it in 20 minutes. I drove up and dropped off my jeep. They gave me a call in 15 minutes that it was ready. I expected to pay $30-$50 for a repair, it was free!!! 100% free!! Shane was awesome. I would definitely return. Killer service.

These guys are efficient, attentive, and accurate when it comes to tire evaluation and replacement. I went there to get two new front tires and an alignment and got out with a 2 year warranty on the tires and a 1 year alignment service. The new guy at the front also let me chill in their waiting room with a blanket and a good book - thanks new friend! I hope to see ya next time I stop by! ... which might be soon cause these roads out here... questionable. Shout out to Uncivi1ized Nation for the healthy community and good vibes. I have had a slow leak in one tire for a couple of weeks. I've had to add air several times. I finally got around to taking it in. These guys took in my car right away, repaired my leak (nail), and returned my car in about 20-30 minutes. When picking up the car, I pulled out my wallet and credit card, and the manager said, "Oh no. No charge. We don't charge for this king of thing." I was very pleasantly surprised. Nice people!

Excellent service! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I bought my front tires here a while back because I just bought a car and discount tire gave me a really good deal . I went back today turns out I had a screw stuck in one of my tires (not the new ones ) which I had no idea but there was air leakage so I trust them so brought it in. Larry and Jay fixed it in like 5 minutes! Staff is always so nice and helpful . I will be going back to buy my next set of tires. 😄

Great service and honest workers. Called earlier because I was quoted $550 for a singular tire that my car dealership wouldn’t patch/plug because I had a nail in it. Wanted to see if they could do better on price and was asked what was wrong, told the employee about the nail and he asked that I come down before he gave me a quote. Picked my car up and headed down, one of the workers told me they could patch it free of charge. I will recommend this place to anyone I know. Thanks for helping me out guys. I really appreciate it! Big mahaloz to da braddahz at Discount tire Waipahu. I recently bought a second-hand truck and needed my tires replaced. Called all over the island looking for a good deal on some 35s, and these guys didn't disappoint! They beat out their competitors prices substantially! While getting my truck worked on I get a call from Brian (sales person) saying my rims aren't sitting flush due having the wrong spacers left on my truck by the original owner. The lugs were held on by only 2 turns. Basically deeming the truck unsafe to drive. The manager Craig made the decision to take HIS OWN spacers off of his truck and replace them with mines free of charge just so that I would be able to drive my truck home safely. Big Mahaloz to you bro! I want to thank the mechanics Jeremy and Loyd for identifying this issue and bringing it to the attention of their Manager. They treat you like family here and It is because of the customer service that these Gentlemen display, that i will continue to be a loyal customer and refer as much people as I can to these guys! My truck was also completed within a timely manner even with the issues at hand. Best tire shop on the island hands down!

All the super corporate companies I called told me that they didn’t know whether or not that they would be able to see me to repair a nail in the tire, but Discount Tire told me to walk in and they would fix it. Within 30 minutes and their high work load, they were able to take care of me. This is the type of customer satisfaction that allows a business to thrive. Talk about fast, convenient frictionless service. I have been coming to discount tires always since 2005. These guys are amazing. I got a nail in my rear passenger side tire. I called, was greeted by a super sweet employee, and I drove down. Got me in 3 minutes, tire patched in 5, out in about 10 minutes and no questions when I said I got my tires from them less than a year ago, no charge since this is where I got my new tires. Amazing, mahalo to Jay and crew. All of your team, good vibes even in these trying times. Love the Aloha spirit. I had bought tires from here a few years ago from the previous owners so when I needed 2 new tires I called them first and got them here for a great price. They had them mounted and balanced in no time. The new owners have made some really good updates to the setup and the added air conditioned waiting area is a plus! Shopped around, got quotes from 5 stores and landed with these guys: $60 a tire(new), fair labor costs, and only a $5 tire disposal fee(Usually $10 at other shops) I was in and out within 10 minutes, their techs were friendly, gave me some insight on what to do to avoid excess/uneven wear. Overall a pleasant experience.

Best place for all your wheel and tire needs. Craig and the rest of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Guarantee the best price for name brand tires on island. They also do wheel alignments for a fraction of the price that Sears charges. Just make sure to let them know if you’re getting recon so they can give you the proper paperwork needed for the inspection.

Came to change 1 tire on my 20in rims cause I had a nail in it,and firestone said it isn't patchable. But when I brought it in and showed them the tire, they said,they could patch it so they did it no charge. Gave the guy who did it a nice tip! Everybody happy. It's a first come first serve basis which is fine, it's Friday morning 930 im in and out. They don't charge to plug your tire, But their service and easy going staff pretty much won me over, ill be coming back to them for all my future tire needs. Again amazing staff, and service.

Been getting my tires from them ever since. Customer service is fairly average for a locally run business. When they're not too busy, cars/trucks go in and out pretty fast. So my car is getting off a boat from Washington state and the tires are BAAAAALD. Safety check is already expired, and registration is due in 1 week. What do I do? I called Costco tire - Iwilei never answered, and another location quotes me $650+. I used yelp to ask for quotes from a bunch of tire places and Discount Tire was the first to respond AND Craig called me on the phone too because I didn't have a lot of information on my car (I wasn't sure exactly WHAT submodel it was), he gave me a general quote that maximum it would be $200 cheaper than what Costco told me. I drove down at about 8:30 am (someone always answers the phone which I appreciate) I almost missed the turn, it's right AFTER REGAL BAKERY, like you're gonna park to the left of regal. They're the 2nd opening on the left - a small garage, but they have a AC waiting room with a few chairs and some good reality TV. And a Keurig. So get yourself a donut at Regal and hang out, cause they're fast, it's while-you-wait and it took maybe 1 hour to do the 4 tires and alignment. I opted for the 3 year warranty ($10/tire) and the alignment, so it totaled about $100 less than costco quoted me, would've been much less if I didn't get that extra stuff, buy hey. I hope I never have to come back haha. Craig and his team were were extremely nice to me and my mom, it was a lot less stressful than lining up at Costco at 7:30am. Only time will tell about how the Toyo brand tires do, but I have a feeling everything will be fine.
