Ordered and paid for tires three weeks ago and today was the earliest available appointment. Showed up and they tell me that the tires are on backorder with no eta. They said they called multiple times. "No, I never got a call." They then say they called once and left a message. "No, I received no message." I gave them the number for my work phone. I always answer and always check my voicemails. They never contacted me, they just sat on my money for 3 weeks and offered to install a lower quality tire. I asked for a refund instead. The people working were polite and friendly, but I took a day off of work for this. What a waste of my time.

I limped my car into your parking lot at 7:30pm on Friday, May 13th, when your store closed at 6pm. My plan was to leave it there and come back first thing in the morning, the following day, to check-in and hopefully get it taken care of. The store was closed but 2 employees were sitting in the lobby talking even though the door was locked and lights were off. They unlocked the door and turned everything back on and invited me inside while telling me they would gladly take care of me. They took my information and details of my issue and ensured they’d have it taken care of the following day. Customer service like this is why will always use Discount Tire and recommend it to everyone. These employees had no obligation to assist me, nor did I even expect anyone to still be there. Their 2 minutes of inconvenience allowed my family to relax on our Friday night and not have to worry about rushing over to your store first thing Saturday morning. The following day, your staff contacted me 30 minutes after they opened and told me they diagnosed my problem and provided their recommendations. I opted to replace all 4 tires and they completed it in 11 minutes! My car was fixed by 9:15am and we were on our way. Thank you so much for your teams help.

I’ve had to come here a few times this year for both my car and my wife’s. Each time I’ve had great customer service and the wait times were reasonable. They get straight to the point and don’t pressure you with slimy sales tactics. I ran into a minor issue the last time I was there but it was able to get resolved in a satisfactory manor. I felt the need to post a review bc it’s rare for businesses to go the extra mile and take care of their customers.

I've been a customer of Discount Tire for the past 20 years and have been very satisfied. The staff, products, workmanship has always been excellent. If you have a problem and need your car that day they'll make sure it's done, even if it's after closing. I've had tires losing air and they'll put it up on the hoists and if it's something like a small puncture they'll patch it and not charge me. I a would highly recommend them.

What great service we received! My sister and I were traveling through MI and experienced a flat tire. We found Discount Tire on google reviews and decided to stop on 28th street. Although very busy, Bradley made us feel important and helped us with our flat tire. In fact, there was not charge! Thank you for helping some stranded vacationers! The customer service here is EXCELLENT. On my way to work, my right rear tire blew out. Fortunately, the shop was on my route to work. The service people there were very, very helpful. They found three nails in the tire. I have been a Discount Tire customer for a while now so fortunately the repair was under warranty. They fixed the tire on New Year's Eve! I am grateful for their help and strongly recommend their service.

I cannot adequately sing the praises of the staff at this locaton! They are truly remarkable. In a literal hurricane of customers coming in non-stop, I was treated to feel as if I was in the eye of the stormwith friendly calm and extraordinary patience. I purchased some used wheels for my car that needed hub-centric rings for a proper fit. Belle Tire used to carry them, but no longer does and Discount Tire was recommended. Kayla and Brad were very knowledgeable and were able to quickly find the correct rings for my application. I returned to Discount later in the day when I discovered that on of my wheels was mounted with a specialty lug bolt that required a special socket for removal. Brad knew what I needed right away and I was out the door in 5 minutes with the socket I needed. Awesome, friendly staff who know their stuff!

If you have more than a tire rotation, and balance, be sure to call them to schedule the appointment. Don't do it online. Otherwise they will make you wait an hour, and a half to 2 hours past your appointment, since they didn't read the notes you put in online. Ours ended up being the 2 hours over.

Used to be a Belle Tire customer, not anymore. This place is seriously amazing! I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Came with a small concern about one tire (ended up needing a reseal) was done in less than an hour and left without paying a dime. Excellent service. Next time I need to buy tires this is where I am going first.

These guys are always awesome. Not only the best tire prices hands down of anywhere. They are fast, friendly, and efficient. I am cheap and did not pay any road hazard fees etc when I got my tires. They fixed my flat in about 15 minutes or less and there was no charge. I could not recommend them more. No upsell, no games, no bs. Just a great deal and amazing service.

Quite a positive experience. Covid safe guards in place. Do make a booking. My tire rotation was free. They also have a small ad hoc full service air + safety check drive through. From appointment time to departure was 70 minutes, so pretty much as expected. No complaints. Will return.

Took my fiancés car here because a tire went flat last minute. Made an appointment online and went in. Everything went fantastic. Great customer service. Will recommend to anyone. Update : Wish they were better at estimating how long work would take. Was told should be 90 minutes, ended up taking around 3 hours. I understand getting busy, but twice the time is a little much. Customer service is still awesome though.

I’ll never go anywhere else to get my tires! Brian at the front desk helped me both times to get new tires and was super friendly. All of the employees I’ve had contact with have been nothing but awesome! The first time i went to get two new tires and they promised me that my car would be done by the end of the day and it was. When I got my other two on today my appt was at 5:30, I showed up at 5:00 and my car was done by 5:35!!!!!!!

Great service, honest employees, and easy to access. This location is one of the busier area locations so an appointment is highly recommended. With Schulers bookstore right across the road waiting for the work to be done was easy. Coffee and water available in the waiting room. I knew nothing about tires and the employee I spoke with walked me through exactly what I needed to know, and saved me some money along the way. The warranty is great to have in your back pocket. My first experience with this store was outstanding.

Let me tell you what. Discount tire is the best. I had a completely flat tire this morning and had AAA tow it to the closest tire shop. I knew I wanted to take it to discount tire. When it was towed there, it wasn't until about 130pm until I got there. Right when I arrived, the car was already DONE. No waiting in line, no NOTHING. They had looked up my phone number earlier when I called and just serviced it. I paid $15 for a brand new replacement tire (I had the warranty which I highly recommend for EVERYONE). They replaced it even during the busiest time of the day. Great job Discount tire, you will forever have my tire services!

In the midst of the Covid situation and being contactless, this location provided excellent service! I brought my Mustang in today for 4 new tires. They ordered exactly what I wanted and had me on my way in less than two hours! I tend to be extremely picky about who I let work on my car. This is my second review I've written for them, but I genuinely am so appreciative of their amazing service. Discount tire functions with such transparency and honesty, and they help problem solve with me instead of for me. Most importantly, their prices are outstanding. Today, I went in to get all new tires. The person who helped me, Brian S., told me I could reorder the ones I have on my car currently, but they would be around 1500. Then, he told me about a tire set they have in stock currently that is not only significantly cheaper (around 800), but the quality is really good too. Discount Tire on 28th truly goes above and beyond for their customers, and that is why I will ONLY go to them for any tire issues that arise with my car. Thank you!

I came in on a Saturday inquiring about a tiring that was leaking air not realizing they were in the process of closing. I worked with a guy named David and he noticed a screw in one of my tires. He said, “we have to take care of that right now so you don’t have an accident!” After a long work day he was the most enthusiastic and professional person to work with. I spoke also with other representatives and all had amazing enthusiasm, knowledge and were all amazing to talk to near the closing of their shift! 5/5 for this discount tire location. I’ll definitely be going back. Oh and to wrap it all up, because this was a safety concern the screw removal and tire rebalancing was free!

10-04-13: Wow, this is a very clean and friendly place. First time I walked in, I brought my Envoy with leak on tire. Within 1 hour it was fixed. The guys have excellent customer service, respectful and professional! James and Rob were at front desk, very knowledgeable too. It's a busy place, but they greet people with smiles, clean waiting area and seats are comfortable. I recommend it for your tire needs. :)

Discount Tire. So much good advice and service. When I had snow tires put on this year, the service guy came out to show me I had an issue going on with a rim and one of the all season tires. Outstanding! He fixed the screw damage in the all season, and next spring I'll need a new rim. It's fine with the snowies, but I shouldn't be driving with the seasonal. Have been a favorite for years.

I made a mistake and got tires right after the first snowfall, which made it incredibly busy. I never got a call saying my tires were ready, and I didn't want to wait more than 20 minutes on hold to call them. When I did finally get my tires (a week later) they were very apologetic, expedited my service, and waved a $50 service I ended up needing. I would recommend this store, but not during the busy season if you can avoid it.

We were told that it would be a half an hour wait and we even called an hour and a half prior to coming in. When we arrived he asked if we were a walk-in or an appointment. I figured since we called an hour and a half prior that we would be considered an appointment at this point. Unfortunately after waiting an hour and a half they still had not touched our car yet. We were visiting from out of town and hadn’t even made it to our hotel yet. We were very hungry and exhausted. Then I watched them take a walk in and put her right in front of us. I don’t think the customer service representative outside knew that I could hear him but I heard him say that he would slide the lady right in. So he let the lady cut right in front of me. We were very upset and decided to take our business somewhere else. We left after two hours of waiting

When I was in search for replacement tires for my car in December 2016, I searched various places including local auto dealers and tire shops. Discount Tire offered the best price for the exact same tire. So I went with Discount Tire. I'm able to go for free air check (which by-the-way they offer free air check for all customers that bring their car), tire rotation, balancing, etc. They are always friendly and accommodating to your needs. I unexpectedly had to go to a Ohio location on the West side of Cleveland and received the same friendly service and help as my local. The only thing is their service is generally first come, first served so you will likely have to wait. When possible, they do take appointments. So, I recommend you plan ahead and either drop your car off and they let you know when it's ready &/or schedule an appointment. I highly recommend Discount Tire.

I had problems with my tire while driving on the highway to a relatives house. Luckily there was a Discount Tire Store in Grand Rapids. I was able to get in and out of the store in about 35 mins. The store honored the tire insurance I purchase from another location. I received a brand new tire, installed for free. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

These guys really saved me when I suddenly had two flat front tires for no obvious reason. I barely got my car to them by the time their website said that they should be closing, but the person who helped me said that it wasn’t a big deal at all and that they would probably still be working for quite some time. I left the car there overnight to try not to add on to the work they had to get done that night, and I got a call from them early the next day to tell me that my car was all set. I was headed out of town that night and would have to have my husband pick it up and wasn’t sure if he could be there before their closing time again. Once again I was told that it was no big deal and they would likely be there later than their advertised closing time. Because of the long hours and hard work that their staff is putting in, my husband and I were able to get this taken care of in one day, when (due to our schedules) it could have been drawn out in to taking a lot longer. We really appreciate all the help and extra time taken during what is already a very busy time of year for these guys.

Went to Discount to ask about a problem with air pressure in my rear tires. Turns out the sensors were wrong and it was actually my front tires that were low. I was helped promptly and very efficiently and left in about 20 minutes with 4 perfectly happy tires.

Good price for a set of tires. Good sales. Poor service tech's. Rank amateurs. Not one of the four new tires was inflated to spec. Each was 5-7lbs low. Had to drive back when my sensors didn't update to spec. No way was anyone ASE tire and rubber certified. Sales gave me back cash for the trouble. Oh yea, when they finished, they parked my truck in the farthest spot away from the waiting room. The truck with handicapped plates.

Probably the best prices for tires and good service when things go wrong afterward. I priced my Michelin tires at Costco while they were on sale, but Discount Tires prices were slightly better on first quote. Had to come back for a tire that didn't seem balanced, which can be a weight they put on just fell off, and to get the TPMS system recalibrated. They got me in right away and took care of it, even ahead of customers buying tires.

Professional service. Although I did have to wait in line 3 times because after my car was brought in I was told I had to go to AutoZone to get a new lug nut - brought one back stood in line again only to be told it was the wrong one - drove out to nappa got a different one brought that one back and stood in line again. Also the previous time I went in for a winter tire change over I had to return my car 2 times because of violent shaking on the highway from a tire I had purchased the previous year that only had 4 thousand miles on it. Finally you need to learn to drive standard people - I watched my car get stalled several times coming out of the bay - they finally just pushed it out , that was just funny!

I had a TPMS (tire pressure monitor) issue and was unable to get it fixed. Gary was recommended as someone who a guru in this area. It was true. He took time to diagnose the issue and had it fixed quickly. In the time since the car went in, it started to drizzle. I returned to my car to see that someone had noticed that the moonroof was up a little and had lowered it. Nice work!

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! Or drop your car off. I can’t emphasize that enough! You may have up to a 2-3 hour wait time in the lobby. I gave 3 stars instead of 5 due to the long wait time. I understand walk ins should have to wait however I felt that was not within a reasonable amount of time.

Little back story about the issue I had with my Michelin Pilot Super sports I purchased from Discount Tire Size: 325/35/19, rear tires..... At certain high speeds my car had a horrible “death wobble” (search MPSS death wobble on google). It’s was scary to say the least. This death wobble went away after I put my other tires on for racing so I assumed it was tires so I took the car into Discount tires in Grandville, the manger at this location was a complete a-hole and said my car must be broken and sent me on my way. Knowing my car was NOT broken I brought in into Todd Wenzel Buick GMC. They performed an Alingment, balanced the tires, road match them and check my entire rear end for any issues. Just as I suspected, not one thing was wrong with my car. Todd Wenzel sent me next door to the Discount Tire here in 28th street. Phil and Tim took care of me by the book. They performed a complete examination of my two rear tires and they discovered there indeed was some movement in the side walls. They did some adjustments and told me to try it out and let them know if I had anymore issues. Well I tested them, and THE DEATH WOBBLE did NOT GO AWAY. They had me come back in and replaced the tires without question. They replaced the Super sports with the pilot 4S. Wow what a difference. Car has no more wobble issues. Phil and Tim went out of their way to make sure my car was safe and I appreciate that! I will be back to this location for all tire needs. 100% recommend them!
