I am so happy that I live one minute away from Katz tires. They always have the option to buy a used or brand new tire and it is so budget friendly!! This is the third time Katz has put tires on cars that I drive. The first experience brought me back the second time. That second time was Christmas Eve and they not only had what I needed exactly, I was out and back to work on time. And this third time, even better. I don’t normally ever do reviews. This definitely needs to be known. This place is nothing short of amazing. I have had a problem with my tire leaking out air and around this chaotic holiday I couldn’t get in anywhere. I always loathe bringing my car anywhere because it’s hard to get an appointment or it takes several hours and you have no car to go anywhere. I pulled into KATZ tires and they fixed my tire within minutes. I have never dealt with such an easy process. The gentleman was super nice. I won’t hesitate to come back to this place for my future car issues. I will tell all my friends. Nice Job!

Took my 2020 Lexus NX 300 Sports to Katz Tires on Thursday, September 8, 2022 after tire light/notification indicated low pressure on one of my tires. After checking out the tire with the low pressure. a small nail was found. Recommended to have a plug installed. When I inquired as to whether or not I should buy 2 new front tires (I was always told that you should always buy 2 tires instead of 1 tire), I was informed that it wasn’t necessary. as the tire had very good tread, and that the plug should be sufficient. Service was very prompt and professional.

Katz will get you new tires at a good price very quickly - takes around 15-20 minutes. They can also repair a flat or slow leak in just a couple of minutes. Cool and pleasant people.

I asked for new front tires, just front tires. I go to the waiting room, after a few minutes walk back to my car to see how it's going and they removed all four wheels. I asked if they were performing a rotation, they said no, there was a breakdown in communication between the employees. The one I initially spoke with heard me correctly, the other employees misheard that first employee. Had I not gone out to check, they would have replaced all four tires. Also, I was never asked what brand of tires I wanted, they just picked a brand. When the tires were replaced, they put a metal tire valve stem cap on one of the wheels instead of the plastic caps that I had, which was frustrating, since again I was never asked if I wanted a metal cap instead of plastic. Moreover, metal caps are a downgrade from plastic caps, since metal caps can corrode and fuse to the valve stem, not a problem with plastic caps. I don't think I'll be going back to this location.

Quick and easy. No-nonsense kind of place. I inquired about the possibility of repairing a tire - they inspected it. When it failed I told them I needed a new tire. They offered me new or used. 20 min later I was driving off the lot. Will definitely be my first stop for future tire issues

Came by for a leaking tire. They took a look right away, found a nail, and had it patched ASAP. I was in and out in 10 minutes and for $15. Best experience I’ve had with a repair shop in a long time, as most are unwilling to take care of a walk in so quickly and cheaply!

Realized that day on my way to work that both front tires were in very bad shape and needed replaced asap. Stopped by Katz as they have always treated me fairly and they were able to put 4 brand new tires on my car at my request without an appointment. There was no high pressures sales. Got one tire replaced after blowing the sidewall. Service is fairly short and they weren't super helpful on providing options or details but if you know what you want you'll be fine. They were very quick though, no pulling into a garage it anything, just lifted and swapped. In/out in about 30 min and most of that was just waiting to open and trying to pay.

Being almost 2 hours from home, while entering I-70, we hit a massive pothole, blowing the tire. Being after 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, I thought we were going to have to be towed home. Called Katz, said they would be happy to squeeze us in so we can safely make it home. They had a used tire, in great shape, and had us up in running in under 30 min from our call! And to top it off, the used tire, was an exact match to my other tires! Very grateful and will definitely recommend!

Had a not so good experience the 1st time there when their lift busted up my skirts/ runners. Accidents happen, and they way the management (Bill) handled it was great. They paid for the minor repairs. Also, just recently had a tire go flat and once again, they came through without any issues and honored the warrenty, even though i was unable to provide details on the purchase of the tire to begin with. I'll be happy to go back and give them more business in the future.

I hit a pothole on my way to Columbus OH. My car was fine but my tire had a major bulge on the sidewalk from the impact. Katz tires help me quickly get a new tire, balanced and mounted before I could even pay for it. They had it on my car set to the correct air pressure and on my way. Nail pulled and tire patched in less than 60 seconds after stepping out of my car! I did not call ahead and am not exaggerating. I’ve lived downtown over 10 years, and Katz has helped me out of dozens of tight spots in that time. Flats, patches, air valves. Always fast, cheapest around, and reliable. I do most of my auto maintenance at home; for the bigger repairs, Goodyear on Spring always; transmission troubles, Columbus Transmission on N Hamilton Rd with no doubt; and for everything tires, it’s Katz Tires or bust. No relation or affiliation; they just always surprise me and I always leave confident in the safety of my tires.

Amazing service. I went in to get a nail removed from my tire. The young man laid down in a puddle of water and attempted to fix my tire. After determining that the tire wasn’t fixable , the office manager sold me a new/used tire. This all took 20 minutes. The price was the best in town and the service was top notch. After getting a flat in one of my rear tires this afternoon, I took it over to Katz to see if they'd have time to fit me in. Not only did they look at my old, damaged tire right away, but they got me back on the road with a durable and affordable new tire in MINUTES! I would recommend this place to anyone. Tyler at the Livingston location was great and helpful to the point of going beyond the tires on hand and helping me find ones that met both price and mileage I was looking for. He called Main St downtown which had the perfect ones and ended up getting them installed there with little wait (helps to go early to any shop regardless of what type of work you need). NO PRESSURE or attitude the way some pricey shops can be plus very reasonable prices. You can even bring your own new tires and have them installed. Consider these guys next time over other chains.

I’ve been going to Katz Main St store for over 30 years, I think. Don’t know why it took me that long to find them. Mostly for service, but have bought a couple sets of tires there. Service very economical and quick. If you bought the tires there, they will fix a flat for free. People nice. They are also good at thinking outside the box and solving problems that a dealership would never think of. If you’re looking for new set of tires, check Katz, you’ll probably be pleased you did.

Best experience I’ve had at any auto parts store ever. Went in because my tire kept deflating, asked if they could see if there was a hole, if not I'll get a new tire. The guy took a look, found a nail and plugged the hole in maybe a minute or two, I haven't had any issues since. Paid, it was much cheaper than I thought, (10.75) and left. maybe a 10 minute process. My roommate said she has gotten a tire put on by them and it was similarly quick. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to Katz Tires twice now, and it’s been a great experience both times. First time, I wasn’t there for longer than 10 minutes and they patched my tire right up. Recently one of my tires popped (Columbus roads, everyone) but thankfully it was nearby! They offered me a used tire for a pretty good price, and got me out of there in about 20-25 minutes. They charge a tire recycling fee, but it’s worth it to not have to drive all the way out to a tire recycling center. The staff was friendly, and they didn’t try to charge me for unnecessary things, which I appreciate as a woman who has to deal with that sort of thing any time I have car trouble. Thank you, Katz Tires!! Highly recommend :)

Wow! What a crazy busy but efficient place! I was impressed with the friendly service and how matter-of-fact they were. It harkens back to when going for work on your car was, legit, “taking it to a garage”. Price there: amazing. 4 Michelin’s for hundreds less than others. Was in and out in 15 minutes. Went in just for a patch on my full size spare so I could change out a dangerous tire and they recommended that I get a used tire instead. The used tire was very reasonably priced and in very good condition and they still patched the spare for free! So now I have a much better tire than I came in with and still have a spare. Very happy with the service I received.

Thanks Michael. All The guys that Katz are always so accommodating and nice. I damage the sidewall of my tire and it wouldn’t hold air. I wasn’t really ready for a new set a tires. They searched and found an identical matching tire which saved me from having to get a new set. I was most grateful for them getting the spare tire back in place and all the pieces parts of the jack packed back away. I wouldn’t and don’t go anywhere else!!

Exceptional. They didn’t have the tires I needed at the location I went to. No problem! They quickly sent an employee from another location to the one I was at with the 4 specific brand new tires I needed. They also worked with me on a price we both benefitted from. The entire process may have taken 45mins maybe a little over but not by much. Keep in mind, this is including the time it took to bring the tires I needed from another location. Katz tires is the real deal and they’ve gained a lifelong customer and many recommendations from me here on out. I got to my car after working a night shift and found a completely flat tire thanks to a big nail. After security came to fill it up, two different security officers recommended going around the corner to Katz Tires to get a patch. I pulled in right after they opened around 8am and left within 15 minutes. It took longer for the computers to boot up to do the $10 transaction (because they had literally just opened) than it did to actually patch and fill my tire. The guy who did the patch apologized several times for the slow computer, which was really no big deal at all. Friendly service from every single employee I encountered.

Came in with what I thought was a hole in my tire that needed a patch. Turned out my rim was bent out of shape. The employees did their best to temporarily fix it, as well as to recommend cheaper options than the dealership for getting a new rim. They did not charge me for the service. I came in with a flat and a leaker. The guys checked the tires over and SHOWED me that the tires (both of them unfortunately) were all but dead and should be replaced. They gave me the option of going ahead and doing the repair or replacing the tires. NO pressure from them either way. I had them put 2 new tires on. They went ahead and placed both of the new tires on the front instead of both on the passenger side where they removed them from. I would very much recommend these guys. From the time I rolled up to the time I rolled my car off the lift was about 25 minutes and it only cost $160 for 2 new tires. Well worth my time and am very happy.

Got a new full set of tires on my f350. Price was great, was a little disappointed that they didn't reset my tps sensors and had my air pressure set incorrect. Had to have them redo both before I could leave. Not a huge issue but would be nice to just hop in your truck and leave and not have to point out obvious things to installing tires. I had seen the Katz tires commercials on TV and decided I wanted to give them a look. I ended up scouring the entire list of local tire shops and looking up prices. I had decided on a tire brand and luck had it that Katz carried the brand. I requested a quote online and received one early the next morning. I ended up calling the shop and was able to speak with them about the tires. The representative ended up sending me a text with more info and wanted to set up a time. He told me that my tires weren't at the location I was going, but he would have them there by the time I got there. I pulled up and right after I pulled up, the delivery was being made. I waited in the lobby for less than 30 minutes and the price was great. Katz has definitely made a customer out of me. With 3 vehicles, a set of tires will always be needed.

I just left this place and had to write this review immediately!! I had a nail in my tire and was referred to this business by a friend. Listen.... the guy who just helped me not only promptly stopped what he was doing when I arrived but he also greeted me reviewed my tired pulled the nail out checked for a leak and there was nothing!! Thank God. But for this man to be honest with me and not try to get over on me because I am woman blessed my soul. If I ever have any additional tire needs I will be back!! I awoke to a flat tire yesterday morning after struggling to put air into it the night before. After googling the closest tire shops I was introduced to Katz. These guys here were more than helpful. Not only did I have a broken tire sensor on my front flat tire but the guys pointed out I had another broken sensor on another tire I couldn’t get to take air. After professionally replacing both sensors and computer reprogramming all 4 tires, I was back on the road in a timely manner. Shout out to the dude with the orange dreads! Drove in this Saturday with a leaky tire on my wife’s Honda Pilot, only to discover it had a damaged sidewall, which = not repairable. They occasionally have a gently used tire as an option, but not on this occasion. Still, once we determined a new tire was in order, it took about 15min. (A little longer if you count the time waiting to be serviced and the time to ring out, but it was near the end of a busy day and they were helping quite a few people with just a couple of guys.) As always, they were respectful, courteous and professional. Seeing that our information was already in the system from previous visits, the manager even offered to knock a few dollars off the total for the wait. Katz tires has been my go to shop for over 5 years now as I highly recommend them, especially for newer drivers or those who feel they might get taken advantage of by an otherwise unscrupulous repair place; these guys won’t steer you wrong. (Apologies for the dad pun.)

The only bad thing I can say about the business is their location, they are located right by downtown Columbus Ohio at 475 E. Main street and it's a constant construction headache in that area but I would recommend them for your tire wants and needs for any car or truck and they have off road tire options also.

Very positive experience! Went in with a blown tire. Wasn't asked many questions as the problem was obvious to them. Had great collection of tires so din't take more than a minute to locate the ones I needed. I was very politely asked to just sit down and relax while they worked on the car. I got the spare replaced and tires rotated as well. Within 15-20 minutes I was told that my car was ready. The old man at the counter was very friendly and involved in the work. They even waived off $30 from my bill since I was quoted a lower number on the phone! I paid $80 less than the quotes I received from other shops in the area. Great great service!!

I NEVER write reviews, EVER in my life, but I had to for Katz Tires. The ABSOLUTE BEST service I have EVER received. One of my tires went flat one night and I had to leave it at a gas station overnight and took a cab home. The next morning, I called Katz Tires asking for help on what I should do, because I have no idea what to do when one gets a flat tire. The gentleman on the phone was so helpful, he asked if I had any insurance that provided free towing to get my car to the shop, I did not. He then asked if I had a spare tire and jack in my car, unfortunately I did not have any of those. He told me to come to the shop and they would let me borrow a spare tire to take to my car at the gas station, there he would help instruct me on how to replace it through the phone. He apologized for not being able to send anyone out there to help because the gas station was far and they were short on staff at the moment. I was already so grateful, I told him I'll be calling a cab to take me there as soon as it can. He was surprised I had to call the cab, and I explained to him I just moved here and have no connections to anyone who can give me a ride. He told me not to call the cab yet and that he would call me back. Within a couple minutes, he called back telling me someone is already on their way to replace my tires with a spare so I can bring back to the shop to get a new one put on. I was so grateful, I waited for his call to tell me they finished putting on the spare. After receiving his call, I walked to the gas station where my car awaited me with, not a spare, but a temporary used tire. I drove my car to the shop where they took care of it right away. I was there no longer than half an hour. The labor was free, I only had to pay for a new tire. As I paid, I tried to tip him generously, and he told me "no, it's okay!" I told him I really wanted to tip him, to show my appreciation for everything they've done, and he told me, "no, really, it's okay. Just leave a good review on Google." I knew right then, these guys are truly good-hearted people who really care. Thank you Katz Tires, you are the epitome of excellent customer service. They really go out of their way to help their customers.

I moved to Columbus a few months ago and have since had two flat tires. It is hard to find vehicle repair business that you feel comfortable around while knowing at the same time that you aren't getting talked into some expensive repairs. The gentlemen here treat me so well. The first time I went they patched up my tire and sent me on my merry way and the fix was on them! The second time they let me know that I needed a new tire (a different tire went flat this time, the one they patched up originally is still in great condition and holding!) and didn't try to over sell me, the price was great! They also told me what to keep an eye in in the future and to come back to them if I have any future trouble. I came in with a flat expecting to get just two tires replaced. They let me know that all my tires had dry rot and were cracking, so I needed to get all four replaced. I was surprised at how quickly they got the job done (in and out in maybe 20-30 minutes) and it was all under $300 for my Honda Civic. It’s out of the way for me but this is the only place I’ll use from now on.

If I could give them 1000 stars I would! I recently bought 2 new tires in June 2017 and came to find out one had a screw in it near the edge. Everywhere I called refused to plug or patch the tire and Firestone even quoted me $122 including labor to replace the tire. I was really wanting to fix the relatively new ones I'd just bought, so as a last ditch effort I stopped in at Katz Tires (Main St) on a recommendation from a friend. I can NOT tell you how absolutely >AMAZING< their service and timeliness was! Their patches normally cost $25 but as I don't get paid until Friday I asked if I could drive on the tire as is until I could come back Friday and get it patched, and they worked with me with what I was able to pay ($12 literally was all I had in my account) and I was out the door in an hour. Thank you is the LEAST I can say to this company. I will be back Friday to try to pay the rest of it, if it's refused, as I have a feeling it may be because you guys ROCK, I will bring breakfast instead! And I'll refer everyone I know to you!

A+ to Katz tires. No nonsense, no games. Honest quote without hidden extras. With no appointment, they mounted my new tires in under 45 minutes, just as they quoted. I'm often skeptical of these promises, because the places that make you wait will tell you that is because they are in demand, and the others can only offer fast service because they are desperate. That is not the case with Katz. Their lobby was full, and people were moving in and out like a well oiled machine. They didn't offer to upsell me anything - they only tactfully reminded me of the free rotations that came with my new tires. Sage advice, given the poor condition my old tires were in because I had been reluctant to go back to the shiny store with glass garage doors that sold me my last set of tires. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is the real deal. The promise of hometown, honest service (even in a thriving city like Columbus, Ohio) still exists in the humble family run tire shop. I never want to buy a tire anywhere else.

I ran over a spike driving past a construction site on the way to work. I drove the car with the spare to Katz. Not only did I get service right away, they assessed the flat tire and told me it was beyond repair, and were able to install a new tire right away. To say this place is great is an understatement. I went this morning to see about getting tires- not only do they quote you, but let you look at the tires as well. Repair for damage from a nail or other road hazard is a verbal agreement, not on paper- not leery about it, but will keep my receipt in the glove box. I was in and out the door in less than an hour. Don't look any further for quick & quality tire service - Katz is the best, hands down. Their customer service is unparalleled and prices are more than reasonable. I recently had a tire blow out and attempted to change it myself. After some slight frustration, I finally got the spare on and thought the whole ordeal was over - only to find that the spare was not holding any air when I attempted to drive home. Long story short, I ended up calling Katz for help. An extremely helpful employee, Tarik, responded with a mobile truck and replaced the blown tire with a brand new one. Tarik took the extra time to look into why the spare was going flat - I didn't even have to ask him to do so!! He found that it had a broken valve, and fixed it on the spot for free. Despite the unfortunate situation, I was very pleased by the level of service I experienced. On top of everything, I was given a discounted quote for replacing the other 3 tires that are showing signs of wear. These guys were great. I called them to see if they had a 4 good used tires or 2 good pairs for my Volvo XC70. They did. When I pulled in, he told me my back 2 tires were good for a little while longer and to hold off on replacing them. I pulled in at 4:35pm and pulled out 15 mins later. Cost for a pair of good 215, 65, R16s was 75 plus tax. I will return next time I need tires and I hope others do the same. We need more good local establishments like this. I encourage you to give them your business.

Much to my delight the flat was repairable and, upon quickly taking it inside, sealing it, inflating & putting the tire on my car, I was not even charged for the labor/sealing. I had a nail/screw in my tire, it's not flat a tire but potential danger.I went 5 different mechanics/tire repair shops and every one said that they can not fix it as it is close to the edge and I have to change all 4 tires as my car is 4 wheel drive. I was potentially looking at 1000 dollar expense for an 18 inch tires. I found online that this store uses plugs for repair, so I drove 20 miles just to give a shot. As soon as I walk in I found that it is 100 year old shop. Some one doesn't sustain for 100 years for no reason. The shop looks pretty basic, you can see tires all over. They believe in fixing things and not being fancy for customers. They don't have shed either. Ok to cut shot, I walk in there they said they have to look at that first. 30 mins later they said, your car is fixed and it is FREE. They found another tire which matches my other 3 tires (brand and thread) and they just replaced it. I would have paid 100 dollars or more, well I was saving 1000 bucks. I asked 3 times that is it FREE(expecting at least for labor), they said no its free. They won the trust from for life time. Next time I go there for my tire repairs/replacement PERIOD. You guys ROCK!!!!!

Recently, went in to get my girlfriends tire plugged. While attempting to park where instructed, I accidentally drove up on the sharp corner side of their lift blowing a different tire (this wasn't the that needed repaired) and almost destroying their lift with the weight of the SUV. They plugged the tire, placed a replacement tire on the blown tire and sent me on my way and did not charge me a penny. I went a couple of days afterwards to get another tire plugged (all non-related tires) and the service was great. In addition I called today to get a quote on tires for my sister and the price is 2/3rds less than quoted by others. Of course I'll be taking my Mercedes there in a month or so to get new tires as well. You can't beat the prices and service!! Great Guys! Really great guys!!

Bought some cheap Chinese All Terrain tires for my truck. Liked the look of them and everything. Drove around on them for one and a half days and got some serious vibrating issue. I thought it was probably out of balance, but being a Chinese tire it probably wasn't. Jacked my truck up to see if I found any out of round. I sure enough noticed 3 out of round big time. Took my truck back today and they replaced all four tires with the tires I wanted. They didn't question me or argue with me. For starters it only took 1hr 20mins, that is because the new tires were not even at the shop! That's impressive! They are quick at whatever needs to be done and if they don't have the tires there, they will get it there sameday. 1. Prices are pretty competitive 2.fast service 3. Professional and care about the customer 4. Sameday install even if tires are not at the shop...yet!

Unreal customer service and great prices. After looking at the in stock options (which is substantially more than most big name shops), I couldn't find a set that I wanted. Instead of pushing me toward a set, Chris tracked down a set through a distributor. He then personally went and picked them up and brought them back so I wouldn't have to come back later. The entire process was quick, and I'd estimate had I chose a set they had in stock, about 30 minutes would've been all it'd taken. But the brief wait for the other set was well worth it. You dont find that kind of service much anymore, thanks again.

They have good prices and install fast. The guy installing my new tires today broke a lug nut stud, you would think they would have a Torque Wrench. The thing that bothered me was they didn't even bother to give me a discount or pay for a new one to be installed. Also didn't tighten my spar tire down on my toyota fj cruiser to the point where it wobbled.
