Uh oh, my front left tired just popped and it's beginning of business day on Thursday. Also it's a run flat tire (hard to find). What do I do? After panicking I called Discount Tire and they kept me calm. They said they could see me immediately. Even though they didn't have the same size run flat in stock, they told me they have a suitable non run flat replacement that I decided to go with. The tire price was very fair compared to nearby retailers. Service was quick and easy. They sent me text updates the whole time while I did some remote work from their clean, comfortable, and tidy waiting area. Most importantly ALL employees were FRIENDLY and knowledgeable. So many times I have been mistreated by workers in the auto community. Well not these folks. They are fabulous. Don't believe me? Test them out.

This location of Discount Tire has always been great. They are quick to schedule, will fit you in if needed, don’t pressure you on extra sales, and are extremely nice. I went in to get a tire inspection recently (not my 1st time there) and spoke with Mike - he was able to get a nail out of my tire that hadn’t punctured it somehow, but also informed me my treads on my front tires were in bad shape. Instead of pressuring me to make an unexpected, costly decision right then, he took the time to write up what was wrong with the tires AND give me an estimate so I could talk to my husband who knows more about them than I do. I actually went right back in and asked them to replace them, and they did for a very affordable price and in almost no time! Definitely recommend.

Jamal and Colin helped me today and they are actual ANGELS!! I had a bolt in my tire and they were so quick to help me! I was having some timing issues and was going to have to leave and try to get the tire repaired on a different day because it wouldn’t have been ready before I had to pick my kid up from school. But Jamal wasn’t about to let that happen. He got me in and out in record time and I was able to make it in time to pick up my kid. Without having to stop twice to refill my tire. The customer service was impeccable and I won’t be going anywhere else for my tire needs. Y’all got a lifelong customer today. Thanks so much!!

On the Road

My first visit to Discount Tires which was at the Garner Ferry Road location in Columbia, SC. I purchased 5 tires which was in afternoon and had to be ordered. They called the next morning that the tires were in and come in when I want to. Luckily, when I arrived there were no others vehicles in the bays. So the four tire installers all jump in together installing the four tires and new spare tire. It looked like a NASCAR pit crew. I was out in less than 30 minutes. I was impressed to see them work together. Everyone was very pleasant and they seem genuinely appreciative of your business. Every business selling tires in town sell at the same tire price but I think service and after service is important to me. That all they do is sell and service tires. I do recommend them and will go back .

I had been putting off getting my tires balances and decided today is the day. When I got there I was told it would be about 2 hours before my car would be ready. I wasn’t pleased but I knew if I didn’t stay it wouldn’t get done and I’ll pay for it in wear and tear in my tires. I decided to go shopping across the street. To my surprise and pleasure, they were finished 30 mins ahead of schedule. Thanks guys! To be honest you have never failed me and have exceeded expectations each time I come in.

My wife was coming through Columbia, SC late today heading home to NC and developed a terrible tire vibration. I called three tire shops and all told me it was too late, as it was nearing 5pm on a Friday. I was able to get Thomas on the phone at the Garners Ferry Rd. locations and explained the situation and that my wife was in a panic. Thomas told me to tell my wife to not panic, take her time and they would be looking for her and make sure she got home safely. They did just that and she just arrived at home in NC. Jamal was amazing. This was the 3rd place I visited for a yire replacement. Got a flat while moving daughter back into college. I needed to return home to Charleston. Jamal could see that I was about to lose it due to frustration. He found a used tire I use to get me home. Excellent customer service!

Had a blowout on I -77 in Columbia South Carolina so the keep I'm driving all the way to Charlotte North Carolina on the donut I had to find a tire store that carries Michelin tires in the size that I needed for our Durango. So I stopped in a parking lot to search people down and found Discount Tire give them a call and found out they have what I needed and they're right down the street on Garners Ferry Road. The manager was very helpful and the staff were very nice even gave my dog a compliment she's a shitzu. I felt like I got a real good deal on the two Michelin tires I needed and found out that they are going to build a store in Summerville South Carolina close to me. Was really glad I was able to stop here to get what I needed the store is very clean and organized. They even have a line to get your air pressure check for free no purchase necessary. This is what I call Great customer service.

The staff was incredibly helpful when I blew out a tire. Called when they opened and they had a tire in by lunch and had me serviced and back on the road 30 minutes after i arrived. This was my second time in this store. I purchased some of the most inexpensive tires available, but you would have thought I was paying thousands of dollars with the amazing service I received from this team. We’ll today I decided that I needed some new tires and I was on my way to another retailer and as I’m driving by I see discount tires on Garners ferry rd. So I call and Ben picks up and from the very start the greeting was so welcoming and friendly I give the information needed and the price got my attention but the service and the warm welcome got me to stay for the service from start to finish awesome job and I usually don’t give reviews but AWESOME AWESOME JOB well done so thank you so much for everything you have a new customer that’s very happy and satisfied. If you don't get your tires from here, you are wrong. I go through tires like tic tacs and I drive a mini van. At least 2-3 tires a year. This place works because they are very affordable and I don't buy the lowest grade. They also have an insurance that covers damages and you're able to get a new tire for free if they can't repair it. And air is always quick and FREE!

The guys at Discount helped me out with my tire fiasco! My tires were in really bad shape and I needed to get them changed out fast.. They were friendly, professional, and helpful. They even helped me with financing. As a single woman I appreciated that they didn't talk down to me or try to up-sell me on things I didn't need. The cherry on top is that I get free flat repairs, free balance and rotation, and tire replacements for next to nothing! Would definitely recommend

Just WOW. First off service here is top notch. The manager, Thomas is great. Really good customer service, was very friendly, professional and informative. Hands down best ran discount tire I’ve been to. The gentleman who helped me check in was great too but I can’t recall his name. I made an appointment but got there about 30 min early and I left right about when I had initially set my appointment. That’s how quick they were! Just WOW, I thought I was gonna have to sit there for hours, as there were plenty of people there, to the point of almost no available parking spaces. - and I drive all day to clients houses so I can’t say how much i appreciated getting such fast, great and well done service they provided. Back on the road and back to work in 45 min 🙂

I made an appointment for 9:15am but there isn't a separate line so I waited for service. I had to purchase two tires and a spare tire. The price was a little higher than I anticipated because I purchased the warranty... but it gives me peace of mind because the roads in Columbia are horrible. Conrad was awesome... he has great customer service experience and his personality made me feel comfortable. I usually have anxiety when dealing with car issues but he made the process more than bearable as he explained my options. I immediately noticed the difference in driving my vehicle when I pulled away and would recommend Discount Tire to everyone.

Thomas really looked out for us... called him on a Wednesday, he ordered our 15's, called Friday to let us know my husband could come that day. They'll take you up to closing time, as long as your there by 6, a real godsend for 8 to 5-5:30 shifts. All of them were great! Really enjoying our trucks new shoes! At 21 years old...she deserves good tires...they will find them for you. Really appreciate it!

Best service I've had, and after this experience, they will probably be the only tire store I'll use. I bought tires from long Town road location and the same guy that sold me the tires was at the Garners Ferry location!!! Lol I bought 4 tires with road hazard (I forgot) Had a slow leak used fix a flat and tire had vibration at 70mph. Went to NTB they said they wouldn't touch it due to liability but could sell me a new tire. I remembered this location was down the street. The agent came out found the nail said no problem; we'll fix the issue and rotate and balance your tires as part of your warranty! Service took about an hour due to # of customers!!!

This morning once again l went to walmart tire center on garner ferry to get tires only because they are cheaper for my crv at 8:15am and sign on the door close until 4-3 or might open at 11:00 am l guess if workers come in. 2.After l got my tires from Discount tire, l went back to walmart to get wiper blade and told that workers called in so they are close. 1.So l went to discount tire down the street to get 2 tires put on. Mackenzie and the crew hooked me up super quick! I came in at 12:15pm and they had me driving out of the garage with all new tires at 1pm. This is an excellent tire shop. I've been here twice, and the staff has been incredibly helpful both times. Quick service too. During my most recent visit, they removed a nail from my tire and patched it up withing 30 minutes, and this service was even complimentary! I went in to Discount tire with a slow tire leak that I couldn't solve myself. They located the issue (which happened to be a nail) and patched the hole in a little over an hour. Best part is that this service is free for anyone who had their tires installed at Discount tire. Always happy with their service and quality!

They were super busy and the wait was long but they found a solution to the problem that we took the tires to Ford 2x and they could not locate the reason the tires were slowly losing air. Was a rubber grommet around the tire stem. Great job, great customer service.

While traveling from Charleston to Columbia I hit a pothole, resulting in a flat tire and bent rim. After 4-6 calls tracking down my tire size I found it at Discount Tire on Garners Ferry Rd. Upon arrival my damaged rim became the issue. The Discount Tire team, lead by Thomas, the store manager, did everything they could to get me back on the road. Thomas went above and beyond by putting my spare on and assisting me with finding someone to repair my rim. This was done without charge and with a smile on his face. After finding someone that could repair my rim I brought it back to Discount Tire, and Thomas, because of the service and communication with these folks. The entire team was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Discount Tire for your next set of tires.

On the first of May 2021, I took my 2004 4runner to NTB to have the tires rotated and balanced. During that visit I warned them the tires were vibrating and had probably been improperly balanced when new. NTB told me they did the best they could and that 4 out of the 5 rims were bent. After some research I decided to go to Discount Tire and get their opinion. I explained the situation to Mike and stated that if I need to buy rims it is an option. He was sure the wheels had not been balanced properly. I can now say 3 weeks down the road Mike was right, they had never been balance right and the vehicle drives better than ever. Thank you!

I had a blowout while driving and I was fortunate enough to have a spare tire to get me to discount tire. They were willing to replace my blowout and put my spare back under my truck for me even though I got there about 5 min before they were supposed to close. I had a large screw in my tire, they did ask any questions or say anything, just got a brand new tire as advertised. However they charge a small fee to insure the new tire. We had such an amazing experience here! We were on our way to Greenville for a hurricane evacuation traveling from Charleston when we realized we had a nail in our tire. We had our dog and our 11 month son with us! We were panicked. But thankfully we found discount tire! Andre was so professional, understanding, and fast! They had our tire replaced and we were back on the road in less than 45 minutes!! They also gave us a discount on our tire because of our tough situation. I am impressed! I had a great experience with this location. Called for a quote; they beat the best price I had found AND had my preferred tire in stock AND were able to assist me same day. Scheduled an appointment for later in the day, and was in and out in 45 minutes. Service was exceptional, and I appreciated being able to watch through the large window (next to a poster about integrity!) to know that my vehicle was being well-taken care of. I had even taken photos of each wheel ahead of time in the event of scratches on my alloys, but I was pleased to see how carefully they handled my vehicle...and they hand-tightened lug nuts to spec (as they should)! (We had a previous experience with a stripped lug nut at a big box store, so I made sure to ask.) We'll be back when our other vehicle needs tires!

I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 because the person who tried to help me was really nice, and did try. But I won't be going back here. I made an appointment because I know Saturdays are busy. I've been a DT customer for 10 years. I recently moved to SC. Anyway, I made this appointment for 10:45 and at 11 they hadn't even started the 10:30 appt which means I was going to have to wait up to an hour, in the heat. No thanks. I've been to the Lexington location and had a great experience, so I will be going there from now on.

Today I came in today to get my new tires I had ordered off of Amazon balanced and installed. The store manager helped me out upon coming in. Once I came in I was greeted by Rodney and Conrad. Top notch customer service. I then realized that my truck didn't have the wheel lock key to get my wheels off. At first it sounded as if I may be out of luck but then that same store manager came out to help and rigged up some tools and got the tires and wheels right off! I applauded him saying while I was in the army I used to hate when guys approached me with reasons why they couldn't fix something. He said that one of discount tires mottos is "have a can-do attitude." Great experience thus far. Will be back again.

Went in because I had a nail in my tire. Didn't try to haggle me at all. They saw I had a new car and replaced just the tire that needed replacing. While they didn't have it in stock they put my spare on for me and when the tire came in it took them about five minutes to put the new tire on and put my spare back. Highly recommend this place!

On our way back from Florida we hit a pothole and blew a tire. Not being from the area it was quite discerning trying to find a place that would be open and able to get us checked in on time to get it replaced that day. We pulled in talked to guys and they got us in within 2hrs which isn't bad at all considering we just walked in and they already had people scheduled. Also they closed at 12 due to it being good friday. This was also a huge hassle for us because we had to unload our entire vehicle so they could get the old tire out of the spare area and replace it and we were concerned due to the weather supposedly being severely bad in a short time. However they got us done before 12 and when they did it started pouring. We rushed as fast as we could to get our stuff loaded back up and the one manager helped us load our vehicle back up in the pouring rain even when it was past 12. We were never upcharged and they were very nice and they were easy to work with. I highly recommend this shop for new tires or a quick fix if you're stopping in.

Travis is awesome... I picked the wrong tires and I do extreme hypermiling... after they were installed I went from 74 MPG over 2,000 miles to 47 MPG over 200 miles... I was literally burning gas!!! Travis helped me get the right tires and back on the road sending my MPG up to 62.5 on a basic install!!! And that was with traffic!!! I'm back!!! I can't explain how happy I am... I had 2 blown tires from a pothole on I-95 near Columbia,SC. Being from Florida, I was a little worried about the process of getting back on the road. Discount Tire went above and beyond to get me to family day at Fort Jackson! They did not have my tire but got me some tires to get me on the road and back home to my local store. One time I got an inch long in my brand new tire, and I took it to NTB, firestone and goodyear, and they all after a glance at it they said you need a new tire this is not repairable. I was super anxious about it, until Discount Tire told me, we’ll fix it (and they did an awesome job fixing it) and give a warranty on your tires since they are pretty new plus a life-time balance and rotation service for FREE!
