Eli and the team there are amazing, customer service is phenomenal and they are honest and tell you what your car is in need of, fast service, reliable. It’s hard nowadays to be able to go to shops where you don’t feel ripped off or receive horrible customer service. My car needed MAJOR work. Axel rods, brakes, mounts, brackets, etc. They made sure to go above and beyond to make sure I was kept in the loop! I needed an experienced mechanic too because of the year make and model of the vehicle. This location made the time and people available to solve this for me. Everyone at this location are super friendly and easy to work with. They will keep you updated about their progress. They will show you what is going on with your car. The manager, Paul is clearly passionate about what he does. When he speaks about cars you can tell he cares about the quality of work and your satisfaction. The wait is worth it! Definitely better to have the work done right the 1st time. It saves time and headaches. They are currently understaffed so make sure you’ve got the time to wait. I was patient and Paul and his team have earned a customer for life!

Summary: Awesome, straight-forward, honest, GOOD people. I appreciate Paul and Jourdan, as well as the rest of the team for their awesome work. From the start Paul was transparent about the work I needed done, what recommendations they had for me, pricing, etc. It's a breathe of fresh air to be able to leave my car with someone and be able to trust that they're doing right by me and my car. Will continue recommending to everyone. Long version: I came by this location after seeing some reviews and wanted to give them a try. Came by on a Sunday for a tire repair and asked about engine work; I was informed that there was no mechanic but that I could leave the car and it would get taken a look at on Monday, once the mechanics were in. I agreed and left my vehicle; a slight hick-up happened and paperwork was misplaced. When I went in to ask about my car, Paul, the store manager, greeted me and very sincerely apologized because the work order was misplaced. They brought the car in even though they were about 5 minutes out from closing time, looked at it, brought me back and gave me a run-down of what was happening. I told Paul that I honestly didn't mind, I understand things happen, they have other customers, some mistakes are bound to happen, no big deal as long as you're honest about it - and that's all these guys have been. Full transparency. Paul apologized again, said they would work on it first thing in the morning and that HE would call me at 10am to let me know what they found. It was...8:53am exactly and Paul was already calling me. He gave me the breakdown, what needed to be done, what could wait, etc. These guys are efficient, honest, respectful, and just outright awesome and friendly. I had no rush to get my car back, but if I had, I know these guys are hard workers and they don't waste time, no matter how busy they are. I can't stress enough how important honesty and transparency are for me, and these guys are incredible.

I made an appointment with Chris Saturday to get a tire replaced on my car Sunday morning, since this location is open Sundays (BIG PLUS). Even though I was late Sunday morning, the crew that was there (Michael and crew, no Chris! LoL) took care of my car AND got an oil change as well! The employees were All courteous, efficient and straightforward, for which I am very grateful. It's so challenging to find a good place to get anything done on a car. Mavis Tires and Brakes is THE best place, in my eyes, and pricing is competitive or better than other locations. Thank You All again and I will be seeing y'all soon!

I went to midas and they told me it would cost me $986.00 to fix my front brakes rotor and pads. I thought I would get another estimate. So I went to Mavis and they told me that my brakes was fine. Paul and his team are great. You can trust them to keep your car running well at a fair price.

In an industry that lacks integrity and competency, go see Paul. He leads a team of excellent mechanics and technicians at this store. They may not be the right shop to overhaul your engine, but at least you know they’ll be transparent with you about what they can do and deal with you fairly. Will return for all my cars needs. I'm always skeptical of getting work done on my car, but this place has a great owner, Paul, and he really takes the stress out of going to a mechanic. Had the ABSOLUTE worst time with a tire company "so called" patching my tire 2 days b4 i came in here. The tow guy brought me from AAA and was unable to do anything to get my spare off with no tools for my vehicle type. I was stranded, cold, frustrated, and just at that brink where everything was weighing down on me. But THANK GOD FOR PAUL.! Capt. Paul was helpful, knowledgeable, and immediately sensed my low vibes. He actually cared, unlike so many other mechanics out here who are all in it for all the wrong reasons. People like him are incredibly rare. And should cherished. From the bottom of my heart. Google: In general, it will take a professional ten minutes to change a tire. With four tires, you're looking at roughly 40 minutes. Having your tires changed by a professional will be the most efficient, as they have the most advanced tools and skills to do the job. Why did I walk in to a, “How can I help you but not really like to help you kinda facial expression place?” Idk, but first impressions are still a thing for me to uphold. Out the couple times I’ve been here that has still yet to have changed. Could in my opinion make me feel more welcome upon entry. So the catch became me reflecting stillness and a welcoming approach then the guy met me where I was at. But what if I was also feeling negative, makes me think that the possibilities of friction between me and getting service to him offering customer service was there. Sometimes customer service is that way. But here things look personal! Something we can easily ignore and know when to articulate and it’s timing was off for me at least. Then I was told while being the first to service would be an hour and a half? Sorry to complain but I’ve had guys rip my tires off as if this were NASCAR lol! Here maybe not! Amazon did great at bringing my tires since last Thursday and today is my Monday 8am appointment. Something just seems off or maybe it’s me over thinking it. I’m all about insight to better business, so for me this place I would expect and just more see it as an in and out kinda place! Good luck over here guys! What I appreciated from Paul was my car suspension concern. He help me understand the components/parts and even allowed me in the Bay Area to take photos of the parts that he understood really well! I can now get some more parts for my 2001 and have a safer ride. With all being said and done I was missing a valve cap to my tire that I realized as I got home. That’s no biggy for me as those are easy to get and find. Over all I can already feel the difference in the car and is so much more smoother as a ride with my 4 new tires!!! Thanks Amazon and Mivas!! You guys did great!

I was told by another tire shop that my punctured tire was irreparable so I went in to Mavis already thinking I needed a new tire since they had it in stock. Made an online appointment for new tires/installation and got a pretty decent reservation special. Unfortunately when I showed up for my appointment the computers were down company-wide. Joe did his very best to accommodate me and promised I would be taken care of ASAP when they were up and running. When I came in the next morning that's exactly what happened Joe and Will made sure I was taken care of right away despite a 3 hour wait time. They even gave me a discount for my inconvenience even though it wasn't their fault. Definitely recommend!

I worked with Paul and Jordan. As women we often know that without a man being present especially at a car shop they try to take advantage of our wallets. Unfortunate but true. Paul, the store manager and Jordan one of the mechanics, were extremely helpful In making sure that I got the services needed at a reasonable rate. They were super friendly. In my opinion, service is half the experience and lets me know if I will work with them again. Thankfully, I have found me a car shop that has great customer service, knowledgeable about all things cars, and efficient. Although there was a decent little wait (I was a walk in) they kept me informed about timing, how many vehicles were ahead of me, and let me know how long the service would take outside of the wait time. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Just took my car here the other day and actually compared to other mechanics, this one was so much more tolerable in terms of service and labor. The manager Zac was tremendous, he took care of me immediately upon arriving and came out to check the car. Took me out to check the car and seen the apparent damage. Showed me exactly what I needed, why I did and Gave me a decent price. I got my tires changed, pad slaps and some major suspension work on my baby. Great service will definitely be recommending friends and family to this location. Ask for Zachary or Jordan. I visited Mavis on 11/24/21 looking to replace two tires. After calling around to a few other places, I reached out to Mavis, and was assisted by Elias. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, going over different tire options and their prices. He took his time to answer all my questions, even after calling three separate times. He was even able to suggest another better quality tire, for about the same price. With Thanksgiving being the next day, I did not want to delay getting new tires any further, and I am fortunate enough to have been serviced quickly and effectively.

Mavis Tire has excellent technicians and service led by Joseph and Eli. My vehicle needed new tires, and they provided a wide selection of inventory for me to select my next set (Check out their online inventory). I chose Pirelli all season tires. The cost of the tires and the labor were very reasonable. They did a excellent job. The tires look and ride great. During the installation, one of the technicians showed me that there was a small crack in one of my wheels. They were able to seal the wheel, until I found a replacement. This has been one of the best experiences I have ever! I shopped for my tires online and after realizing I chose the wrong size i stopped in on my way home and met Carlos. Carlos was able to get me the right size tires for my appointment today. He found me a better deal even. After coming in today I knew I need work done on my front alignment. Eli helped check me in walked me through what was need with the mechanic Ivan. They were able to explain in detail what was wrong and show me what was wrong. Never have I had a mechanic go through this with me before. They made sure that I understood what was wrong and why it was important to take care of this now. I was not prepared for the extent of wear and tear on my front end. Carlos was there and once again came to my rescue! He is truly a wonderful man! He has been informative, friendly, knowledgeable and delivered exceptional service. I will definitely return for any future needs. Each time I went, I was greeted in a courteous manner. I asked a bunch of questions and they answered every question I had in a very informative manner. I blew out my tire after I accidently rammed into a curb. It was after 6pm and I was stranded with a busted tire 7 miles from where I live. I looked up tire places in the area and this place came up as being a 1/2 mile from where I was so I called them and the nice guy who answered explained that even though they were open until 8:30pm they were swamped so all they would be able to do for me that evening was to put my spare on. So I drove over very slowly on my busted tire. They immediately started working on putting the spare on but then the manager told me that I really need to get new tires as all of mine were very worn (which was true, I had been advised this by other places for the past year). I asked him if I got 4 new tires would there be any way they could just put them all on that evening and he arranged it so that his guys could do that. He also gave me a $100 discount and I paid $750 for 4 new tires for my Jeep Patriot, which I thought was reasonable. Also, when I asked one of the guys that was working on my car if I had damaged the rim at all by driving on it with the busted tire, he was quick to show me the rim and explained that I had not damaged it. As a woman, who on top of it was there because of a desperate situation, I really appreciated how it didn't feel like they were taking advantage of me and BSing me. Before I left with my car with the 4 new tires they put on, I asked if they do general mechanic repairs besides tires and brakes and they said they do, so I will definitely go back to them if I need any other repairs in the future.

Another service they perform is they check out the car, in my case the control arm needed to replaced and the shocks we're leaking. I'm glad they did because I always like to know what's wrong with my car before it breaks down and I get stranded.

I searched online to get a new tire. NTB popped up. I looked at the site, filled out the form, made an appointment for 8.30am the next day. I arrived early, and they took me right away. I only wanted one tire, so I was waiting for the hard sell in why I should get at least 2 new tires. That didn't happen. I was asked do I want the lowest price tire? I told him no, I would prefer something mid range. He suggested a tire, I agreed, told me how much it would cost, and they got to work. It didn't take long, and they didn't try to sell me wiper blades or anything else. I like this place and plan on using it for all my tire needs.

Only 4 stars because I got the run around. Made an appointment for 4 new tires at their location on central. Showed up to my appointment waited 10 to 15 min before some one came to talk to me. Find out they dont have the tires on stock and that I can call and see if the one in niles has them in stock. On my way to niles I get a call saying they made a mistake and that I can come back in now that I already drove 30min to niles so I declined. The niles location was great. Friendly, professional, as far as salesman's go there aren't to pushy. They did a quick check when they were done and confirmed a few things I knew needed to be replaced and gave me a estimate. Seems a bit expensive but I'll know more once I get a few more estimates. I would come back here again though.

My battery was giving me trouble and i had to keep jumpstarting the car. I brought it into ntb and Ashur helped me within 30 seconds of walking in. He tested the battery and it read fine. We then talked about the problems i was having and he asked for me to wait 30 minutes so he could retest it after the car had been sitting for a while. After the retest he replaced the battery for free because it was still under warranty. Thanks Ashur!

I had the pleasure of visiting NTB@2819 N. Central, 60634. I'd purchase a set of tires in Feb.2018. I've revisted the store 4 or more times because of the TPM warning light coming on. I explained the situation to the new Manager Ashur Merza. Expressing frustration on buying a lesser quality tire. I explained that the repeated visit were disheartening. He had the employee to check the tires. He advised that when tires were installed, sealant wasn't used. Which he had serviceman to do. Wow. One man, great difference. A true Asset to NTB.

They have good alignment, and many types of tires. Guys in Firestone say that they can't do aligment because all sunspesion is ready for replacement with $4500 bill. In ntb they did good job and my car running like arrow.
