Customer service was great. Work on my vehicle was great. My advice is to not wait for your vehicle. Drop it off if you can. I had a 12 pm appointment for new tires. I waited a little over 4 hours. All-around great service, but LONG wait.

The job was to mount and balance 4 tires. This was done. However, the sidewalls of the tires were grimy and should have been cleaned. The time was WAY too long at 2.5 hours, when the service was scheduled they said it would be an hour. Limited customer service by the people at the desk. While I was waiting, I heard other people complaining about the time as well. Inside the shop, one can see several people just sitting and walking around for long periods of tmie. Not sure what that was about.

Made an online appointment for same day service. Turns out the online service just hands out same day appointments without making sure that an opening exists at that particular pep boys. So I get there, have my online confirmation, but they can't honor it cause they are so busy with clients who made appointments days ago. Even as under staffed as I could clearly see that they were. They got my car done that day. Not right away it wasn't done for a few hours but they made it happen. This was on a Sunday and I was desperate for tires. I appreciated it big-time, but the online appointment thing was bull

Brought my car in because 3 of 4 tires were leaking air after another shop changed them. Pep Boys diagnosed the issue free of charge and were very helpful explaining exactly what the problem was, how it could have happened, and what collateral damage I should be looking out for in my new tires (such as interior wear from riding low). They didn’t need to do any of that for me, this was truly above and beyond service.

I called/confirmed my time before I showed up(12:18pm). I showed up to have 4 tired(205/45/16) removed remove from wheels that were not on a car, 5 people in the showroom; I didn't leave til 3:40pm. 3 hours to dismount 4 tires? I was told it is because my tires were to low profile. Smh

I had the pleasure of coming into the store other day. Jenni and Greg helped me order tires and get them installed. The store closed at 6pm and I thought I had missed the time to pick up my car. Greg called me around 7 to let me know that he was still at the store and I was still able to pick up the car. Both of these employees were very nice and friendly. They listened to me ramble on and on. I appreciate their kindness. I would recommend sending anyone in to get their tires.

I know nothing about cars but Jenni at the front desk helped me soooo much to figure out the best and easiest way to get the tires on my Honda HRV up and running after one had bust so I could be ready for my road trip the next day, really amazing customer service at Pep Boys Everett. I read the reviews and wondered if I should even bother with an appointment. However I did book one still. I showed up on time for my oil change, tire rotation and wheel alignment. They had me in and out within an hour and a half. Overall service for me was outstanding and I can say some times reading the reviews won't let you know what kind of service you will receive. She also mentioned what sequence they would perform each inspection and fixes in and provided me with all necessary document. Overall very effective and productive work. Completely different experience compared to my last visit nearly 2 years ago. That was a disaster where I waited over 5 hours for something I was told would take an hour-I wasn’t charged for the service for all the inconvenience it caused me. This time, I needed a new battery and it was urgent. I was reluctant to go to Pep Boys after the last experience but again-it was urgent. What a complete difference! Maybe because it wasn’t crowded and also Jenni offered terrific customer service. She was very personable and took time to review my battery choices. This was a completely different experience and took less than an hour and Jenni kept me informed about what was going on with my car. Thank you!

Scheduled an appointment for 9 am on Saturday for a 120 point peace of mind assessment. Arrived at 8:50 am, front employee (Jennifer) was nice. Ended up paying at 12:10 pm, so the whole experience lasted a bit more than 3 hours. Assessment met my expectations.

I would like to thank Melissa and her manager for the wonderful service we received yesterday evening. After having a wonder day sight-seeing our SUV got a flat and pulled over to change the tire. It was after 5pm on a Friday night. Most places we called for a tire didn't have it in stock. We called Pep Boys and Melissa was able to locate a comparable tire but they close at 7pm. We managed to find the store 5 minutes to 7pm. They were so gracious to take us ladies in and change our tire at the last minute. We appreciate your dedicated customer service and getting us on our way back home! Thank you so much for your kindness!

Melissa always takes the time to hear out our issues with our vans, we have about 28 vans that we bring to this location from plugging a tire to oil changes to electrical issues. When i arrived they told me they were overbooked and they have no control over the system that cancel the appointment which is not true. Honestly didn't expect a great experience based off the current 3.5 star reviews, but they totally exceeded my expectations today! Great service all around that started right at the counter with Jenni! Went in this morning looking for an estimate on new tires and was fortunate enough to secure an appointment within 30 minutes (which I did not exepect). Was highly satisfied with the price quote as I was quoted a higher price for the same tire at a nearby shop. Even though new lug nuts needed to be ordered from an outside source- the service manager was still able to complete the work within the estimated time frame that it was promised back to me. Based off of today's experience I would definitely return and would certainly recommended. I'd suggest calling jenni in advance to secure an appointment if you want smooth sailing.. they did start to get really busy as I was wrapping up, but overall the service guys were definitely ready to work and kept things flowing in there.

I went in for a simple tire patch, and was informed I was living on borrowed time with a tie rod. Unexpected car expenses are one of the things in life that stresses me out the most, as I can never properly budget for them. Jamie and the mechanic (I did not catch his name!) made what could have been an anxiety inducing day as low stress as possible. They talked me through exactly what the issue was and Jamie quickly quoted me for the repair. She was able to set me up with financing quickly and easily, and my car is driving better than ever. I will absolutely be back for future services and really appreciate the customer service Jamie provided me. This shop is trustworthy and welcoming, an experience I don't often have with mechanics.

Great experience, my long time mechanic wasn’t able to see me so I came to Pep Boys to find out what was going on with a loud exhaust. Melissa was super helpful to set up a time for me to drop off my car. Within an hour of drop off I got a call letting me know what the issue was and cost to repair. It was quickly fixed, and Andrew promptly called to let me know it was ready for pick up. Bonus - they had flexible hours to come pick it back up after work! Melissa was great as was Steve and Andrew. Definitely will be coming back if any other issues pop up, plus the location was so easy from Boston, definitely recommend!

Staff is very nice...however, there is only one service person working on Sundays and he was overwhelmed with the line that forms. I had a 12:30pm appointment, but was told it would be an hour and half just to install the battery. Sunday apparently is not a great day to have an efficient service experience. I ended up just taking the battery home and installing it myself. Thanks to the assistant manager who transitioned by online battery order to an in store purchase with the same discount as available online. Additional Info: When I returned a few days later with the old battery, I asked the service manager when would be the best time to come so one does not have to wait. He said they are understaffed. In addition, their software allows people to sign up for an 8am appointment, but the mechanics don't show up until 9am! So, they start the day an hour behind. Is this anyway to run a business? Despite this, he claimed they are very busy. If you are willing to drop off your car for the day, then this scheduling disaster will not be an issue for you.

At least 3 hours are required for an oil change. On Google, I got a quick response; maybe, I'll get a quick response on reception as well. They are always behind schedule. They didn't do an alignment and didn't provide any alignment documentation, so make sure you receive the alignment papers otherwise they'll charge you even if they didn't do the alignment.

Was expecting pep boys to be a little more "peppy" you know? Was my first time there so I brought my pom poms and busted out my high school cheer outfit. No one even cheered with me when I handed over my keys and cheered loudly in my best pep voice "FIX 👏THOSE👏 BRAKES👏!!" They fixed my brakes and did a 10/10 job so 5 stars. Hopefully HR can teach them a few cheers to pep up guests in the waiting room is my only suggestion.

Car was towed over the weekend from Boston Airport after issue with brakes going out, leaving my daughter and friend stranded in Boston (from out of state). Daughter was in area working for the summer and getting a friend from airport to drive home with her. Car was looked at first thing in am, as it was towed to their place in the middle of the night. Very understanding with the situation. Unfortunately, due to age and condition of car, the mechanic recommended not sticking any money into it. Staff was very upfront with the repairs and estimated cost. Allowed the car to stay on lot until I was able to get a salvage yard to get there. This took a few days due to living in Wisconsin and title being in Wisconsin. They were very understanding, and told me not to worry about it, the car could stay there as long as needed. Did not charge me for the evaluation of the car. I know they spent time doing this, as they were putting it back together when my daughter arrived to obtain her things. Thank you so much

Pep boys in Everett has been a life saver for me over the past couple of months. I bought a used car and the ‘wonderful’ streets of Boston have been harsh for my tires. The first time I brought the car by it was late, but Francois fit me in so one of the techs could take a nail out of my tire. The technician recommended I get new tires before the winter because mine were completely bald. A couple of weeks later I bought 4 brand new tires and Francois was helpful yet again, explaining the different types of tires and what would be best for my car. After an alignment and the 4 new tires, my car felt brand new when I pulled out the parking lot! However, yesterday I had ANOTHER nail in my tire! Brought it to back to pep boys and Francois helped me again. He is always so pleasant whenever he greets me at the service desk. He makes sure he keeps me posted when my car is brought into the garage. The same tech that helped me with my first nail problem brought the tire out to me to show me the problem (which I appreciated!!). They were timely, and provided 5 star customer service. I can’t thank them enough for always pulling through when I need help. I will definitely be back for any future service issues!

Had an appointment booked to balance and swap the wheels for the winter season...made online appointment at 1030am, got an estimate the car would be ready by 12noon, the car wasn’t being serviced until 12:15pm...and the actual work took about 1:30 hr. Employees working extremely slowly, taking breaks talking. I would not recommend this place unless you have a few hours to spare. The only person serving the front desk took 15 mins per person to process orders/payment. Others waiting seemed to be in the same boat. All I’m all, a tire rotation took 4 hours instead of 1.5 hr. Suggest you go somewhere else.

I was down the street at Town Fair Tire getting my tires balanced and aligned, but only after arriving late because of a dead battery (the original in my 6 year old Wrangler). I knew it was time, so I walked down to Pep Boys and Jason took care of me. I'd had positive experiences with PB before and he maintained that with a new 12v and installation in about an hour. They were obviously busy, but I was in good hands.

Went in to mount and balance 4 tires/wheels. I brought in my own tires to mount on wheels with tires already on it. Matthew was the rep that was assisting me and he was very professional with me in getting the service done. Also what was helpful was he pointed out, and showed me some additional issues I was aware of, well as a couple of items I was not. I did not get any mechanical work done, but my experience today was overall satisfactory. I rated 4 rather than 5 because it did take a bit longer than I anticipated. 4 tires mount and balanced I would expect maybe a little more than an hour, but the process took little more than 2 hours. My rough time estimate comes from doing the work personally.

We were so pleased with the service we received at the Pep Boys Everett store we just had to write this review. We live in New Hampshire and were driving to Logan Airport to catch a 9 AM flight for a week’s vacation in the Caribbean. After a 2 hour drive we were almost to Logan when we discovered we had two almost completely flat tires. Luckily we came upon Pep Boys but at 7 AM the store hadn’t opened yet. A sympathetic employee who was there early assisted us and suggested that we leave our car and talk with Ron in the tire department when the store opened at 8 AM. We were able to get a ride to the airport from a Boston relative and rushed to make our flight. After a call to Ron in the tire department, we were prepared to replace four tires on our four-wheel drive Toyota. We were sure the tires were ruined. With our dilemma we told Ron to go ahead and check out the problem and if we needed new tires to put them on. After a week’s vacation we returned and to find good news. The flat tires were due to leaking valve stems on recently mounted winter tires. Pep Boys simply replaced the valve stems on the tires. Pep Boys and Ron could have easily told us we needed to replace our tires which we expected. We were very thankful that we came upon a business which has honest employees who repair only what needs to be done. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the help we received from Pep Boys Everett! Jay at the Everett Pep Boy who works in tire sales was awesome very Honest and respectful I had a screw in my tire on the side and he ordered a new tire just incase I needed a new tire, when he put my car out back on the lift he brought me back to show me to see if I needed a new tire and i eneded up not needing a new one because it didn't go thru all the way . I have never gone in this place and not seen it busy. The repair bays are all with cars, and the lot is scattered with cars. As all that is the case, it takes quite a bit of effort to get attention as a customer. The store is more focused on getting vehicles repaired that assisting customers in the store. I observed two store customers waiting twelve minutes before one stormed out in anger throwing away the products on the floor that he wanted to purchase. I finally got my turn with the service advisor, his name is François. He was a one man show, working the counter, the repair shop, the phones, and running orders. The store needs to have one him at every station, register, desk.

Some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. The whole team, and Bob in particular, did a lot of leg work to get through to Enterprise to figure out how to handle an electrical issue with a fifteen passenger mini-bus. They did not have to go through that trouble since it wasn't even a problem on Pep Boys's end. They had no other reason to help besides an act of sheer kindness. They picked up the slack of the Enterprise in Georgia (whom we originally rented the van from) when they had absolutely no obligation to do so.
