The first thing that always wins me over is the fact they actually answered the phone with courtesy and I didn't have to deal with an IVR robot. Visited the shop on 11-17-77 for a flat tire and the gentleman at the counter was friendly, also ended up joking with the mechanic "Dro" who was very knowledgeable and had me in and out in a timely manner. I highly recommend this shop for service.

I went in today, Saturday morning) for an oil change. Jerome serviced my car right away and I was in and out. The prices for the oil change skyrocketed but the customer service was great. Hopefully Monro Muffler will have coupons/discounts available very soon for new and existing customers. I'd like to remain a customer.

I had my car towed there recently. I've been a loyal customer for about 3 years. They knew I needed it back w/in 24 hours, my eldest needed to drive back to school. I’m so glad, I gave this location a shot. Saw some pretty good reviews already and I was not let down!!! You can definitely trust them. Long story short, after leaving my car and the part with them, it took them a day or two. When I went to pick it up, i was told I DIDNT have to pay anything and I was grateful because dealerships were quoting me $450 - $650 and these guys just basically did it for free. After my experience, I feel very confident in their ability to to be provide honest quotes, plus they nice guys. One of them ALWAYS answered the phone compared to when I called Acura dealership, I literally had to go through their finance department to get a service rep to get a quote. Nonetheless, I feel pretty good referring them to friends and other family. I’ll be back for any car related issues!

I went here because my car's heat was not working. Even though the shop seemed to be very full and the mechanics seemed busy they took care of my car really quickly. The customer service was great and I'll definitely come back here any time in the future I need work done on my car. I was worried about being taken advantage of/overcharged because I don't know a lot about cars, but they were great at answering all of my questions and didn't charge me for simple fixes like refilling my coolant.

This is the go-to repair shop in Baltimore City. I take in my Mazda 3 for regular service - oil change & filter, tires, everything. They are very honest and hardworking. It's a great value because I've had no major issues with my car. I will usually drop my car off and pick it up later the same day. I'm always very pleased with the work and when I ask questions, I always get great advice. I replaced my tires with them, rear shocks, and front struts (Baltimore City roads). Work was excellent.

Service is excellent. Rick is, quite possibly, the most practical and honest mechanic I've ever come across. He fixed my muffler for free when he could've just as easily recommended a replacement for hundreds of dollars. We usually go there for oil changes and any small repairs and always come away satisfied. Rick has given us a better coupon than the one we presented on the past as well.

I brought my car in today for an oil change that I was in DIRE need of. Got there around 4:30 and they were quick to get my car up and check everything out. I waited maybe a total of 20-30 minutes and they were finished. I got a full synthetic oil change, and Rick charged me $20-$30 cheaper than surrounding shops. I also asked if the car looked alright underneath the carriage and under the hood, totally expecting a "well you need this, that, and that" but it was all good! 10/10 recommend and I will 100% be going here for all my future needs. I started bringing my car here a few years ago, and now don't trust anyone else! Rick and Drew are always honest about what does and doesn't need to be done, never pressure you to do more work than is needed, and don't over charge for diagnostics. Just recently I was having trouble with the brakes, and they bled them and tightened them up for free! They also are hands down the most affordable place I have been to.

I have been to this place twice. One was for a random flat tire (because that just happens in Baltimore City since the roads are rough!) and another time just yesterday to add air to my tires. Both times my experience was EXCELLENT. I can't say enough good things about Mr. Rick, the manager. He is such a genuinely KIND and helpful person. The first time I was in a panic because my tire went flat and I was going with a friend somewhere. He recommended a reasonably-priced replacement and changed my tire within an hour. My friend and I made it to our dinner! Then I went back there yesterday to have air added to my tires since it had gone low. It was a little bit past closing time but Mr. Rick helped me anyways and didn't want to take a tip. So I felt the least I can do is give them a good review. I think the best part about is this place is the fact that they provide good, honest, reasonably-priced service which you don't always expect from auto shops in a city like Baltimore. I have definitely experienced being ripped off by a mechanic/autoshop before and this place is NOT like that at all. I will definitely keep coming back here for my tire needs.

This is my second time getting an oil change here. Rick is very honest and professional both times. I asked for a check up on the brakes and he gave me all the details and told me not to worry about them for a while. I asked for an oil change and he scheduled it quickly and gave me the coupon rate without me having the coupon. We chatted about Baltimore for a few minutes when he is free from the shop. While doing my bill, he patiently answered questions about costs and then car issues for another person who came in. What more can you ask? I will have him as my family doctor for my car.

Despite the fact that it's now 2017, as a single woman it's still hard to avoid getting ripped off by a mechanic. And not being treated like you can't possibly understand cars? Forget it. After speaking to 2 mechanics and getting quotes in the $600-700 range and having to explain multiple times that I knew what a muffler was, I decided to try for one more quote. The third time was in fact the charm. From the minute I walked in my experience with Rick was completely different. He spoke to me like an equal and treated me like I was intelligent. He was honest and straightforward with me, which was a refreshing change of pace. Better yet, he did the work I needed done for half the other quotes I was getting (the going theory is that the other guys were trying to charge me to replace my entire exhaust system when I only needed the muffler replaced). I couldn't be more happy with both the work and my experience with Rick. I will definitely be bringing my car back to Rick for work and recommending him to everyone.

This has got to be my favorite auto repair shop in Baltimore City. I have been to two other shops along N Howard St and have not had a good experience. However, when I went to this shop the first time, I was immediately reassured by the attendants polite and helpful attitude. Particularly, Rick and the other fellow who usually works at the front (he is taller, dark and bald). I have often been concerned that an auto shop will purposely misdirect me in my car’s needs. I’ve how shops purposely break a car for more business from their client. Since I have been going to Monroe Muffler, I have never had any problem and there has never been a lapse in trust. They know what they’re doing and they do it honestly, quickly, and with immense care. I have often been given free tire adjustments and other services from this shop, and I’ve seen other clients treated in the same way. Honestly, this shop is the beat and I won’t be going elsewhere while I’m in the Baltimore area.

I came out of the grocery store at night and saw that I somehow had a flat tire. I remembered that Monro was near enough that I could drive on the flat and drop the car in the lot. I called up Monro in the morning and talked to Mr. Rick who told me to come drop the key off and he would take care of me. I dropped the key off, went about my day, and got a call a few hours later that it was ready. I walked over to the shop and Mr. Rick told me it was on the house. Great work, great service. I dropped my vehicle off three hours ago and was told it would take “about three hours to get my basic oil change because two cars were ahead of me.” Three hours later I call to check on the status of my car and I’m told that they haven’t started mine yet, there are two cars ahead of me... WHAT?! Is this a standard saying you give your customers?? This is extremely disturbing the lack of consideration for your customers time. I work an overnight shift and have been awake for almost 24hrs. I’ve been waiting for my vehicle so I can go home to my bed. I am so extremely upet I would rather have paid three times the amount and not had so much of my time waisted. The man at the front I believe his name was Rick had good customer service which is why I gave them 3 stars.

I own a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta and the Jiffy Lube around the corner refused to fix my headlight or attempt to fix it. When I brought it by Monro, they fixed it almost immediately (right before their closing time) and did a very good job. I just brought my car by there today for a nail that was in my tire tread. Originally, I was quoted $10 on the phone (in terms of cost), but they did it for absolutely free. Another shop in North Baltimore quoted me $25. Great service, very professional, and quick service as well. Everything you could want in an auto repair shop. I don't live in Remington anymore, but I still come back here to get routine maintenance to my car.

Great guys. I thought I had an issue with my exhaust or muffler that was going to be expensive but after literally 5 minutes of a test drive and an inspection they told me it was simply a louder than normal fuel pump that comes standard in the make and model of car that I own. I really appreciate that they didn't try to force a repair on me because I'm just a broke college kid with no car knowledge. I will 100% be back for any services I need.

Stopped by on my way to work my brakes were making a horrible sound in my 2008 Honda Pilot. Drew was informative and fast. While there i asked them to check my engine light. One of my four sensors was shot. Replaced quickly and labor was only 45 dollars. I have found my new mechanic.

I had what I thought was a slow leak in my tire, but they didn't find any obvious culprit. In case it was leaking from the side, they sealed the side for me-- and for free with a coupon I found online! I only wish they took appointments. On Saturdays, they want you to drop off your car in the AM, & say they'll get to it by the end of the day. When I explained I'd have to wait there though, they were great about getting my car looked at & finished without my having to wait all day.

I just took my car in because I've been having issues with it shaking and rattling. Everywhere else I took it wanted to charge me extra for things I didn't need. Rick at Monro was super honest with me. He did a FREE diagnostic and rather then telling me I "needed" all this work, he let me know my issue wasn't a big deal, and it was safe to drive. He gave me options rather than making me feel scared or obligated to get a bunch of work done. Thanks so much for your honest work and wonderful customer service. I'll never go anywhere else!

Can't recommend this place enough. This is one of only two reviews I've ever written in my life. I took my car to Munro about a leaking tire (after the dealership told me it couldn't be patched). They found the leak (a nail in the tire), and repaired it within a couple hours. And then...they didn't even charge me. I will be returning.

I've been using this Monro store for 8 years. Since I'm leaving Baltimore, I felt obligated to recommend this GREAT store to rest of Baltimorers. The Monro fellows are very helpful & honest. They always have your work done in a quick yet affordable way. There were several times I have to tow my old nissan in and they fixed it without charging me. They never push me to do any necessary tuneups or fixing. They explain their works well and are always willing to offer additional discounts. All in all, this is the best mechanics store I've ever used.

I brought in my 2003 Taurus for an oil change and a muffler replacement. The oil change was done for $18, but Rick advised that half the exhaust system would need to be replaced along with the muffler, and that they no longer stocked the parts for the 13 year old car, so they would have to be special ordered, which would have been very expensive. He directed me to a shop elsewhere in the city that could piece together an exhaust cheaper than he could. If you want to car serviced where you don't have to worry about being aggressively upsold and treated like an idiot, then this is the place.
