I was visiting my Sister for a quick weekend trip. I had a leak in my tire and needed to leave the next day to drive 400 miles. 2 other shops could not help me, but Jan Davis worked me in their schedule. Highly recommended for all things tires and brakes. I had a car with a leaking tire, and they were able to accommodate same day. In less than 30 minutes they found the problem, patched the tire, and re-mounted everything. They made sure the repair was solid, and were conscientious about the details (jack points, lug nut torque, etc.) Last spring I had a car with brake issues that another shop failed to diagnose correctly. The Jan Davis team diagnosed the problem correctly and fixed it right the first time. Definitely not the cheapest shop in town, but the prices are very fair for the quality of work and materials.

I dont normally write reviews but I love this place. I've been coming here since I bought my car for almost 2 years now. I recently blew a tire and they happened to have my exact tire in stock and were able to take me in the next day. I had two tires changed, rotation, and an alignment in less than a couple hours all together. The service here is unmatched and you can tell everyone works very hard because your car is finished in a timely manner. I also have never felt like I'm being dogged for more money. I love it here and will continue to come here and recommend my friends as long as I live in AVL. Thanks Jan! You can also walk around downtown while you wait!

I am a single mother so I asked for used ones knowing the shop was quite busy they still made time for me and found me two tires with extremely good tread for a very great price. They were able to do an allignment for me that the dealer and NTB told me was a dealer only job, and took care of another issue for me very quickly. We woke up to a flat tire on our Audi Q5 while vacationing in Asheville. Fortunately we got to the Audi dealer safely right? Well, Audi turned us away saying, “Go to Jan Davis.” Huh?!? Thanks Audi :-(. Well fortunate for us, we made it downtown safely & were greeted right away by Rich. He said he’d get us in ASAP but we should stroll the area, shop & grab some lunch. It was the perfect location to explore the area on foot. Shortly after we sat down for lunch he called with “bad news”. The tire couldn’t be patched so I’d need a new one. He had a used tire exactly our size, brand and with less miles on it for $45 all in. SOLD! Amazing service and incredible value. JD turned a bad situation into a great experience. Is all of Asheville as amazing as Jan Davis? Lucky you!

Traveling from Ohio with my two dogs when I ran over a nail which caused a leak. These employees took good care of getting me a good used tire to get me back on my way. Friendly guys who let me in the showroom with said dogs out of the rain. If I lived here it'd be the only place I would go for tires and alignment

A few months ago my husband had a set of tires put on his model 3, and he has only had wonderful things to say about the experience - great communication, the service was fast and absolutely spot on. Today we discovered a screw in the side-wall of one of those tires, and we immediately called Jan Davis. They ordered the replacement (there were none in stock or in their warehouse) to be done on Monday and the very nice and helpful person I spoke to was able to offer a solution to help us get through the weekend. In short, they’re the GOAT.

We had a flat tire during a summer vacation to Asheville and these folks helped us get fixed and back on the road. Not knowing where to go for help, we called several shops about our hard-to-find tire. This shop had the shortest wait and the best price to install. They were great about communicating with us until the tire arrived. Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful, even the other customers in the waiting area. Fast, professional, courteous, fairly priced and excellent service! These days you rarely see this type of exceptional service elsewhere! Went there for new rotors and brakes and new tires. They told me upfront what was going to be checked and a ballpark amount based on what it would entail. They were clear and straightforward about what needed/didn't need to be done and why, and how long it would take. They squeezed me in right before closing and it was ready in the morning. Great, great, great service!! Can’t say enough about how great these guys are! Rich was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us! We were in from out of town and hit a pothole, which bent my rim. Rich was able to expedite the rim repair the same day, as we were leaving the next morning. A happy ending: We experienced a scary blowout at night on an unfamiliar freeway hundreds of miles from home. We took the tire in to Jan Davis, and they replaced it with a good used one at a very reasonable price. Being from out of state and not a regular customer, we could have been taken advantage of. The opposite happened; we could not be happier with the prompt, courteous service we received from Jan Davis.

I live outside of Greensboro, NC and had to drive to Knoxville to pick up a car that needed emissions inspecting. After a long day of driving, I wanted to stop in Asheville on my return (half way point home) and chose Jan Davis Tire bc of their good reviews online and proximity to downtown. They didn’t disappoint. They were friendly, professional, honest and most of all *accommodating* on a Friday afternoon when I called on such short notice. Location is perfect for walking downtown while work was being done and they called promptly after it was finished for pick up (at my convenience) before closing. I highly recommend this business and would use them again without any hesitation if I’m back in the area and needed tires or other car service needs.

Good selection in stock (they've generally had 3 ready to go low/mid/high options for each set of tires I've gotten there, and can order more). Free rotations for tires they install. Neither words nor stars can express the truly exceptional level of service at Jan Davis Tire. My son and I recently returned to visit my hometown of AVL from Chattanooga and our 16 year old Subaru started making a terrifying noise on the river route. Despite having more than enough to do on the books, they found the time to drive it, diagnose the problem, and order the part right away...because it was a safety issue and we only had a few days to visit.The owners were out of town, but their son and their staff took care of us like we were family. They saved our little vacation back home... and even gave us a great referral for a transmission problem they had diagnosed in the process...oh the joys of a vintage vehicle. 🙃 Truly tops level of service. Jan Davis Tire is a local family-owned business that has been a downtown fixture since I was in high school. (trust me... it was too long ago.) When you support them, you’re not just supporting local, but you can rest assured you will be receiving honest, quality, and efficient work. Also, they carry Pirellis.

Our delivery vehicle was in dire need of not only tires but pads and rotors all the way around. I called Jan Davis around noon and spoke with Rich, he informed me that if I got the car to them by 3 o'clock that day he could get it taken care of. They had the work completed by 4:30 that same day. This is the place to go for tire related needs. Very professional A++ could not have done a better job. Fantastic! We were on the Blue Ridge Pwy driving from NY to Highland NC when we had a blow out on our Subaru. We called Jan Davis Tires in Asheville when they opened and spoke with Rich. He was knowledgeable about his stock and knew what would work for us. Within minutes of our arrival at 8:30am, he had our “SubaRuby” up on a lift and his team of four attacked her like a NASCAR pit crew. 32 year old family run business - it still feels like one. Awesome customer service, they explained everything well, we're very well priced and offered options without making you feel like you were being cheap if you choose the least expensive option. My family and I were visiting Asheville when our brakes started acting up. I chose them based off reviews and was glad I did. They had us wrapped up in 1 and a half hours while we walked around and enjoyed downtown Asheville. They were doing such a good job in the brakes I asked them to change my tires, too! Very honest, helpful and kind staff! I had a nail hole in my tire (tire was only 6 months old) that my local Johnson City Toyota dealership declared "not patchable" and would require a new tire. Jan Davis Tire Store was the only one in the area that could get my particular tire by the next day as I would be traveling to GA. When I arrived - fully prepared to buy a new tire - the staff inspected my damaged tire and gave me the great news that it could be easily patched! I was out of there in a few minutes with a good-as-new tire for around $20. They were so honest and helpful when they could have completely taken advantage of my ignorance of the situation. About two months ago, I went to Jan Davis for all new tires on my 2012 Scion IQ. Since the IQ was too small to be put on the regular lifts, it had to be jacked up by hand, instead. Unfortunately, a slightly misplaced jack bent the fender on the driver's side, causing the door and fender to scrape together, something I didn't notice until a day later. When I noticed the issue, I took it back to Jan Davis, and they immediately took responsibility for it and apologized that they hadn't noticed the issue before I did. They never tried to blame me or anyone else; they never tried to shirk their responsibility to fix their mistake. They just went to work on trying to repair the damage themselves, then when they couldn't fix it, they paid for all of the professional bodywork repairs - even though the repairs ended up costing more than the new tires did! It's easy for businesses to shine when they don't make mistakes, but it can be a different story when they do drop the ball. Not so with Jan Davis - this is a high integrity business! They shine when things go well, and when things go wrong. If I ever needed tires again while here in the Asheville area, I would go back to Jan Davis Tire. :)

My brand new teenage driver hit a curb and destroyed her tire. Luckily it was right on the corner of Jan Davis, I had never been there, thinking it was downtown and probably overpriced. As you can see from replies the management cares about reviews and reputation. They're the best tire shop in town. I have 5 vehicles and have never had a problem here, everytime I've tried a different shop I had issues with them. And there's no need for appointments usually.

Came in for what I thought was a flat tire. Greeted by 5 employees who worked together to tackle my problem in less than 15 minutes. In the lobby one can see precisely what the team is doing given the location of a giant window separating the garage from the waiting room. Turns out, it was only dirt lodged in my tire from a small amount of off-roading due to the rains washing away some of the road. The team was fast, friendly, efficient, and afordable.

Well, stop doing that. Jan Davis Tires makes tire shopping painless. Look, I hate to spend a ton of money on tires, because, well, they're just tires. But these guys will give you a price that's competitive, present you choices based on performance and price, and get the work done super quickly. Also, the price they give you? That's the price they charge. (No hidden charges for "stems" or "road hazards" or air, for that matter.) I know you hate buying tires. Me too. Was having issues with alignment on 2008 Lexus RX 350 that I had just purchased. Original alignment center could not get it right. So took it to Jan Davis and they discovered a mechanical issue that would not allow a correct alignment. Had that fixed, went back to Jan Davis same day, they took me right in and had it set perfectly in about 45 min. Difference in steering was “night and day!” If you really want your alignment on your vehicle completed with quality, expertise and professionalism, Jan Davis is the only place to go!

Great place tire place but I brung my own tire to the place the same size as my other tires and they told me cause of the different type of tire it was they couldn’t do it and they would have put the new tire in the back and move the old one in the front.. which didn’t make sense and so I ask how much it is to get they tires in they shop and they gave me the price and it was a little PRICEY for just one tire lol.. but it’s a great place to go just make sure you BRING SOME BIG CASH with you cause they are high but good at working on your car
