One of my tires was punctured by a chainsaw sharpener—no idea how I managed to do that! I called ATS and they were able to get me in promptly (which is good, as my tire was losing air quickly). They replaced the damaged tire, which was covered by the road hazard insurance, and I was on my way soon after. I was very happy with their helpful and professional staff.

How did I only give stars and not an actual review initially?! 3 years after initial 5 star, would still 100% give 5 stars. Staff is always courteous and friendly, knows my name since I'm a frequent customer. Booking rules are simple and fair when it's in-season for tire changes: First call, first schedule for next day only. Never had an issue getting on schedule that wasn't my own fault. The crew is fast and professional, and the shop is popular for it! If you're trying to get an appointment, call immediately when the phones open the morning of the day before or you will miss out in minutes! Facility has LOTS of space for vehicles when in-season, and even so everybody who knows how great the service is here will have it booked up fast! Besides tire changes, oil changes have always been quick and without issue when it isn't changeover season!

Alaska Tire Service has taken care of all my tire needs for about two decades now. Fast service, professional in all ways, and reasonably priced. You might find a cheaper tire somewhere else, but you won’t get this level of service.

I had tire change over done on 9/27/2022. Everything was great until I saw the tire pressure on all 4 tires. Tire pressures were 48, 47, 46, and 36. The recommended PSI from label inside door is 35 PSI. I drove back to Alaska Tire on 88th and had the pressure adjusted down to 36. Recommend you double check tire pressures before releasing vehicle to customers.

Almost perfect service. Every single employee I spoke to was super helpful and did their best to accommodate anything we needed. They fit us in for a walk-in oil change and did a great job all around. They were also just nice people in general. I can't say enough good things about the employees! So then why only 4 stars? The company charges absurd prices for the oil itself. We're talking 2x over the price at AutoZone just down the street for the same spec oil. I understand charging a markup for ordering and keeping the oil in stock, but 2x is very steep. To their credit, they let me go out and buy oil for cheaper, then bring it in for the oil change. So they definitely made things right, but for a moment there I felt royally ripped off. So in the end, would I recommend this company? Yes, for sure! Just bring your own oil if you can...

Very professional. A TV commercial alerted me to their service and the ability to make an appointment. I called the following afternoon and was given an appointment for later the same day. I arrived about 5 minutes early and was quickly checked in and requested that I drive my vehicle into a specific bay. Within 35 minutes after initial arrival I was leaving the establishment after they had changed all 4 or my vehicle tires and completed all the paper work. Excellent service by all the contacted employees.

After spending about a week of reading different reviews I came to the conclusion to try Alaska Tire Service. I went to the 88th location with my very pregnant wife. Check in was good, lobby had enough space and was warm. (October) I had to drive my vehicle in which I suppose was from some liability thing that maybe happened in the past, no big deal. The workers were great and wow a lot around! The gentleman that helped me was named Robert in the garage. He was great and did a fantastic job. Tires on and out within 45 mins. They didn’t have the brand I wanted but they had an excellent alternate option to appease my 10 ply requirement. They were able to get me in the next day! Purchased Firestone Destination X/T on a Toyota Tacoma. Price was also good with a rebate I didn’t know about! Thanks will be coming back!

We brought our 2002 Subaru in for tire change in April. Not only did they take care of our tires, but they alerted us that our struts were rusting out. When we took our car in to have the work done, our mechanic said the struts were close to failing. That alert saved us from a bad accident. Thanks, Alaska Tire staff, for going above and beyond! Awesome service and staff. They were so helpful and honest about my tires. I went to get a tire change over from winter to summer tires and brought to my attention that my summer tires were too old and cracked and instead of just putting them on, which would have been unsafe and possibly cause more problems, they gave me numerous options and quotes for new and used tires. They did not try to push them on me at all and even tried finding me some tires from other locations. Anybody who is willing to send me to another business even if it is not their own to help me out earns my respect! I also had to reschedule on one of my cars literally last minute and the front desk staff were very helpful and kind and had no problems doing it. I unfortunately do not remember the names of the three gentlemen that work in the garage but they were very helpful as well and were great on giving me all the info I need about my tires and getting new ones. When I get new tires I will only go to Alaska Tire they have earned themselves a life time customer! Keep up the good work guys you are much appreciated!!!

I'm editing this review - yesterday, I bought a new set of summer and winter tires. Lyndsay was extremely helpful over the phone explaining my options to me. I got my car in the same day and they had my new tires on my car in a half hour. The service technicians are always so friendly. Great experience. Again, highly recommend Alaska Tire Service on 88th! I use Alaska Tire Service for my tire changeover every year. Their techs and customer service reps are friendly, I don’t have to wait long and they do a great job every time. Highly recommend.

Alaska Tire has been absolutely great. They are friendly, the price is low, and best of all they can get you in quick, even at peak season! We've used them for the last 2 years of winter/spring change overs and misc other tire needs, and usually get in same day. The front desk staff and the techs were wonderful. I love this place. It's my go-to for switching out summer and winter tires. Come here and expect to wait while your car is worked on.. that's the deal at this location. In the last year or so I they opened a second waiting area (a little bit nicer) across the street. I'm happy with their prices and they don't surprise you with an extra charge for tire pressure monitoring systems. I decided to buy my summer tires here and I'm glad I did. Somehow I was forward-thinking enough to also buy the optional insurance (<$10/tire for mine), which today saved me $300 on two new tires. Either someone has it out for me, or it's how I drive. In any case, I'm relieved! Nice people (some I recognize season after season), an efficient operation, good prices. I'm a happy customer.

Got my summer/winter tires changed over today, only took them 30 minutes to do the whole process which blew me away (seriously, I've waited 3+ hours at other businesses before). The guy who did my tires (Thomas? Thompson? soft-spoken guy with curly black hair) was super nice and helpful. Their appointment system is also really well done. I will say that their tire changeover is a bit pricier, but I will still use them in the future.

They really came to the rescue this tire season. I waited till the last minute and all the places either required showing up hours early or you could make an appointment that was a month out. Wow talk about amazing service! I am usually a little nervous about having vehicle work of any kind done but my boss told me to come here because of the great service he's received. He was spot on and I loved my visit. The staff answered all of my questions politely, I was quoted up front with no extra fees, and done in 30 minutes. Haven't price shopped anywhere, but they seem reasonable to me. I bought winter tires there for my truck - they had them in stock when I wanted them. Last year the computer must have glitched and not balanced my tired correctly, but that was just once out of six or 7 times I've been there. Super quick AND prompt when you have an appointment. I really, really appreciate their promptness.

They did exactly what they said they would do on my Jeep; putting it up on the lift exactly when they said they would do so (i.e. - at my appointment time), and doing the work correctly in less time than they committed to. Their waiting area allowed me to comfortably wait while they did the work. They charged me exactly what they quoted me, and everyone was very pleasant to deal with at the 88th Ave. shop. For the last few years I've been going to alyeska tire. they're frustratingly slow and nonchalant, and operate on first come first serve (meaning you have to arrive early in the morning to even get in). Not to mention they're always trying to get you to buy new tires you don't need... Alaska tire service on the other hand was fast (20 min in and out) It was super easy to make an appointment. Just wake up at 8am, call to schedule an appt. for the next day, then go back to bed. my only complaint was you gotta back your car out of the vehicle Bay yourself, but they were helpful in guiding me out : )

Good customer service. FYI inquire before you do a tire change over, I was hit with a $200.00 change over for have "low profile" tires. I watched them change the tires over and it didn't seem like they did anything different, used the same machine (non-touchless), and handled with about the same care as the other wheels and tires being done in the shop.

Excellent customer service and as fast as they promised over the phone (30-45 min) You typically drive your car into their bays on your own but when they saw I had a newborn, they were super accommodating, driving my van for me and returning it parked close to their front door. The waiting area was packed (u can't leave your vehicle with them, you have to wait) so I thought it would be longer but they sped through the line amazingly efficiently. Thanks!

Got caught with two very flat tires four thousand miles from home. Needed new rubber, called around, found that ATS had the best prices and good reviews and scheduled an appointment. I was brought right in at my appointment time, invited to explain my situation, and they were prompt and accommodating - flawless service. On top of that, however, I had a tire replacement policy through Toyota which can add extra hassle. ATS talked to them and provided all the information they needed, and when there was a price dispute (because everything is more expensive in Alaska) they worked with me for close to an hour until Toyota agreed to provide full reimbursement. ATS was going to get paid either way, so their exceptional assistance was purely for my own sake. I very much appreciated their patience and offered assistance. Thanks guys! I'm happy with how everything worked out!

I've been going to Alaska Tire Service for a few years. I find them to be professional, corteous, and fast. They have a small lobby area that makes waiting comfortable with TV to watch or magazines to read. For one of my vehicles, I have very low profiles tires that others have had trouble mounting tires too - never had a problem here. I'll keep going back.

Wonderful service! Very helpful. I went in to the Dimond location with a flat tire an hour before closing time. The tire couldn't be repaired, but Doug located a used, reasonably priced tire at one of their other locations. It was delivered and mounted in a very short amount of time.

I usually do my tires by myself but this was MUCH easier. Got in at 12:20 and left by 12:40. Full mount and balance. I didn't have cash for a tip but I am bringing my other vehicle in tomorrow and will not forget to give Dustin and Damian a tip for the quality and quick service. I had a tire blow out on a very busy Friday with plans to go camping for my birthday so I was pretty upset when I called them looking for a new tire. Even though they were super busy they fit me right in and got me back on the road in under an hour after finding me a full set of replacement tires for next to nothing. Sometimes this is the only place to get certain tires. I was getting oversized mud tires put on a Cherokee and knew there would be fitment issues. Their shop crew test fit a tire for me! Any other shop would probably laugh at you when asking for test fit. When one didn't fit, they let me borrow some hand tools to "make it fit" outside their shop (understandably they wouldn't modify customer's vehicle to fit a non-standard size tire - liability issue). Woman at the front desk was very nice and patient while I took a lot of time deciding on a tire. Looking forward to buying tires from this place again.
