I had a fantastic experience with this place. Called to get my tires changed over and expected a huge wait, because it's late October and I'm a procrastinator. The guy tells me they're booked out several weeks but just had a cancellation and I could get it done the next day. I show up and I was in and out in less than 30 min with a pair of fantastic new winter tires. Shout out to the guys in the back too, they're hilarious and very friendly, as was the lady at the counter. Highly recommend this business!

Been having my tire change over through years and brought my new set of tires i bought from subaru months ago for a great deal during summer, unfortunately they said my winter tires have to be bought from them, which would cost me 400 dollars more plus service. Went back to subaru and have a schedule to put them on for free as service is free when you buy their winter tires. Ak tire and rim was my go to, but im a bit disappointed now that i can no longer go there.

Staff is very wonderful. Had an unfortunate incident with my window and the roadwork out front, but they checked cameras for me and definitely tried to help to their best abililty. Unfortunate incident but definitely not the stores fault.

This is by far the best tire store in alaska! I’ve stopped in six times and they always have the tires, price is reasonable and you can’t beat the customer service! I’ve had same day service every time. As a busy contractor, I really appreciate them!

I would like to recommend this tire shop. I bought tires about two years ago and they were reasonably priced and the quality of tires has been good so far. The tires also came with free tire rotation (at a pre-determined mileage) and flat tire repair. I somehow have managed to get screws in my tires a few times and have used this service. They have been able to get me in and repair my flats in a more than reasonable timeframe. The last time I got a flat, they put the tire that was repaired back on and the spare back in its storage place. The owner was friendly and helpful also. They made my life easier so I decided to post this review.

Outstanding customer service and reasonably priced. I purchased my tires here in March of 2020 right before the covid lock downs. The tires were already studded and as a courtesy they offered me to remove the studs free in the spring. Well covid happened and I was unable to get the studs removed. Here today I came to get a tire patched and they honored the offer for me and removed my studs. That's how you build a loyal customer. I'll definitely be returning for any tire needs and highly recommend you go here too.

I called up to ask for a set of winter tires for my car. Jessica was able to help me find what I was looking for. She patiently took her time to answer every question I had about the item. Not only did Alaska Tire and Rim had I was looking for, the quoted price was also the cheapest compared to other places in town. I went in to confirm the purchase and get them installed a few hours later. I was greeted with friendly and knowledgeable staff with great customer service. They confirmed that it was the right size for my car and took my key. I went to grab a cup of coffee and by the time I was done with my cup of coffee, the installation was completed. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. From what I saw, Alaska Tire & Rim has large selections of new and used tires. They also have a warm, sizable waiting area with a vending machine, a TV and free coffee for you in case you want to wait there for your car. Overall it was a great experience for me. I went to Alaska Tire & Rim, purchased the item I was looking for at a fair price, and was home within an hour.

Visited Alaska Tire & Rim today, Mike who was at the desk greeted me instantly. Then he also assisted me in buying tires. He was honest and truthful, although he could have sold me more expensive tires he suggested what was the best option at the best price for me and I highly admire the integrity he displayed. He gave me factual knowledge and details to assist me in my decision making for buying tires. Mike is highly knowledgeable and I recommend buying tires from here. 5 star!

Awesome group of people...They took me as a walk in and had me in and out within an hour. They are one of only four places in town that had the tires my car needs (without having to order them) and on top of that they had the best price (by far) out of the four. Sorry Johnsons, better up your game. I highly recommend AK Tire & Rim!!!

Took the Alaska eBike Store delivery truck for new shoes. Great customer service, quick turnaround time and best price in town. Great work Alaska Tire and Rim! Went in expecting to spend over $1,200 on tires but they sold me on a set that only ran $950 with a $75 dollar rebate! The Hankook tires are doing great on the snow and ice. Great place. Just had my wife's winter tires put on and they had it done in 2 hours. Other places want to booked an appt for a week+ Out and Alaska Tire & Rim just squeezed me in. Staff is always helpful and friendly. I'll keep going back here

I needed a used tire that matched exactly the OEM 17" rubber on my Traverse. I wanted a used one with a couple years of wear on it to match the other tires, since AWD systems can be finicky about tire diameter. Lol and behold! They had exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price and had it mounted and balanced in a jiffy.
