Here searching for Christmas things - see photos. Nice staff, the line backs up quickly but they do call for add’l help when it gets too long. Found a few things - worth checking out. Tuesday 25% off for everyone, Wed. is for military, Thurs for seniors.

A nice second hand store. I found a nice bar stool for only $10.00. Today was 25 percent off. So received an even better deal. You never know what you might find. Highly recommend you visit.

Decent shop had a lot to look at but the only downside is the VA discount is only on Mondays which I don't know why it's just not everyday but other than that good place.

It's an alright place to stop by every couple of months for clothes, books, and household decor, but lately I've noticed the prices have been getting out of hand. For a company that gets free donations, they act like they paid for everything they sell. It's especially absurd for clothing (ESPECIALLY dresses, shoes, and jackets) and bigger furniture items; if you're looking for toys, books, or small decorational items, you'll usually be able to land some good deals, and most items are generally below retail prices but are still too high for a thrift store. I've heard many complaints about staff members from other reviewers, and thankfully haven't encountered a problem with them yet. Tuesdays is 25% off for everybody.

Typical thrift store experience. Products get the price reduced the longer they stay on the shelves. Tuesdays are currently 25% off if you present the online coupon. Pretty diverse product selection.

Prices are extremely inflated. Thrifting is meant to be accessible. Also for the love of god i beg this place to stop writing prices in marker on the products..,regardless if it wipes off. I don’t want to pay 16$ for a home decor item with marker all over it. Selection is great though, I just dont think id ever donate here knowing how much they upcharge

Considering this is a thrift store and everything is given to them I found the prices to be a little steep. Found a willow carved figure I in store for 25 and the same thing online for same price . 10 or 15 dollars would be reasonable but almost full retail? This was not the only thing . Needed forks and paid .50 cents a piece not bad but not great for a thrift store. So some items in case for over 100 dollars, really in a thrift store? I know the store helps children's hospital but why not ask for donations and place a price on store items that will help the people shopping there. This makes online shopping more and more promising. This just my opinion and I hope I have not offended anyone. Happy shopping.

Vintage treasures, but you do have to take time to rummage through items. The ladies & gentlemen I have been in contact with have always been pleasant & professional. Some have mentioned difficulty in finding parking, but if you drive around back there are plenty of spaces. As a thrifty local, CHKD is definitely worth checking out!

Well I went to CHKD Thrift Store this Morning to buy a few things, And when I to them up front to pay for them, I had a round speaker and it Had 8.95 on it for Price so the one Lady that was working the cash register, Was Very Nice to me so I bought a Few things and when it got to the Round Speaker That I Wanted and the PRICE To Me Looked Like 98 Cent And It Didn't Even Have A Charger For It , So Just As I Was Getting Ready To Pay For It THIS OTHER OLDER LADY COMES OVER AND LOOKS AT THE SPEAKER AND SAYS THIS IS 8.95 FOR THE SPEAKER, SO I TOLD HER THAT I WOULD GIVE HER 3.00 DOLLARS FOR IT AND SHE SAID TO ME IN A VERY RUDE VOICE THAT WE DIDN'T NEGOTIATE ON PRICES,,, AND SHE TOOK THE SPEAKER AWAY FROM ME !!!! SO Isn't SOMETHING BETTER THAN NOTHING ????? THAT OLDER WHITE HAIRED LADY NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO TREAT CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT !!!!! ALSO I DONATE A LOT TO THIS STORE BECAUSE I LIKE TO KNOW THAT I AM HELPING OTHERS.

I've been here several times from July through February. It has always been clean and well sorted. Staff is friendly and helpful. Masks are required (duh, pandemic) and the restrooms are unavailable. But this is one of my top thrift options in the area.

Great finds at this thrift store! Start here and you may be one-and-done. However, expect a line, the parking is a challenge, and why are there so many cars on Virginia Beach Blvd?

I overall enjoy CHKD, but there are some big flaws when shopping here. They have difficult parking, no restroom, and no dressing room. I almost never buy any clothes unless it's something I can make sure it fits. You can’t really get a good fit when you are putting the clothes on top of other clothes. I will mainly stick to the outskirts of the store. I do bring my donations here because CHKD seems to do a lot of good and I respect that. It's not my favorite thrift store (I prefer JCOC and DAV the best), but it could be so much better with a dressing room. Selling clothes and not having a dressing does not make a ton of sense. Even if it is to prevent stealing, the inventory is free. They might be betting that people will buy and not return if it doesn't fit. I’m not sure what angle they are going for, but it is really annoying as a consumer. They are probably losing a lot of business in the grand scheme of things. It also wouldn't hurt to organize clothing by size. Their pricing here is on par with Goodwill. You can tell they are comparing prices online with eBay. To be honest, it kind of defeats the purpose of thrift shopping. If you can’t get any good deals in store, I might as well shop online. If you do plan to shop here, be sure to text their number for 25% off on Tuesdays. I think Monday is a military discount.

It was a nice experience. It wasn't too crowded or cluttered. I found two dresses and my daughter found a jacket for her cousin and several tops for herself. I use a power wheelchair and I found it very easy to get around the store.

I always find good stuff here (both sharp pieces and gaudy monstrosities), and donations are fast and easy. Let's set some expectations, though: 1. There are no fitting rooms. There are a few mirrors that everyone is kind about sharing. Plan accordingly. 2. There is a 7 day exchange policy with tags only. 3. Check items thoroughly before buying them. If you find something and it seems too good to be true, it might be because it was just put out, or it might be because there's a big hole in the armpit. 3.5 Check where the tags are stapled. Sometimes they staple them to the clothing tag, which is great. Sometimes they staple them right next to the clothing tag on a delicate part of the clothes. If they would stop doing the latter, it would be great, but in the meantime, watch for this.

They have discounts 4 days of the week: Monday -military day Tuesday- customer appreciation day wednesday- law enforcement day Thursday- senior day And all the discounts are 25% off EVERYTHING you buy not the total purchase The staff is great as well too

I am never disappointed with the ever changing selection of name brand clothing at this CHKD Thrift Store location. Most items are in fantastic condition, and on our last trip, we bought 8 items that still has store tags on. All 3 of my children are seen by specialists at CHKD, so I especially love shopping here, and giving back to them.

I traveled from Oklahoma to see family over Christmas and specifically wanted to seek out thrift stores to find 100% wool material that I use to make hooked rugs; wool is hard to find in the south/midwest as it just doesn't get that cold. My daughter and I went into this AWESOME store and discovered a very organized store with LOTS of wool items. For $85, I came out with nearly $1500 worth of 100% wool (if I had to buy it new), mostly Pendleton! Needless to say, I was ecstatic! Next time we visit, I am bringing a truck! They had lots of great deals going on. Had I been in the market for quality antique furniture, I would have easily filled a pickup truck! We will be back! Thank you!

Very large store, well organized, and great for seasonal purchases, odd items. easy drop off of donations at their door where they have a big cart for you. I also leave plastic bags there for them to use for their shoppers instead of buying more. They seem to appreciate that.

I prefer this thrift store over Goodwill, both for purchases and donations. They always have sections dedicated to the current season or holiday, filled with brand new items, which is fun to pick through to find unusual decor or relevant holiday accessories. Staff is helpful and friendly.

There are no fitting rooms which makes thrift shopping VERY difficult. Typically a better men's section than goodwill, my bf can usually find some things here but can hardly ever @ goodwill.
