This place used to be one of the best thrift stores in St. Louis.. it's not even worth a visit anymore. Half empty store, high prices. Selling empty wine bottles...why?

Love this Goodwill. Their prices have gone up recently, and they no longer have dressings rooms, but they have eased their return policy so you can try clothes on at home and return them if they don't fit. Still a great place!

University City Goodwill items are tagged with barcodes that can be scanned making it easier to check out. Not sure why this empty perfume box is $6 though.

This place has many super deal.s...I purchased a sub woofer...for my stereo system...which is a must have item...if you want that deep bass and impact of live movie experience ..that brings the action to life...and it was under 20 bucks which is really nothing....to get dynamite...sound ...missing..from a normal speaker.....plus they have many more items...depending on your personal taste or want....

Great selection of clothing here. Although some things were priced $8-$10 on some clothes which I thought was a little high. When I came to check out, there was a girl standing next to the cash register but she told me to go to the other cashier but there were several people waiting. Not sure why she couldn't help

Are you a major thrifter? Do you enjoy finding quality, used items at a fair price? Me too! I used to endlessly bounce from thrift store to thrift store in order to locate good finds, until I found Goodwill Retail Store of University City. Now, this is my one-stop shop for all thrifting essentials. Whether you're on the lookout for a new pair of sneakers, crafting items, clothing, electronics, etc, you'll be sure to find something golden at this location. To put it into perspective, there was a time I visited this store (unintentionally) not expecting to find anything in particular. Upon checking out, I had left the store with two Kate Spade bags, two Kate Spade wallets, a replica Louis Vuitton bag (in pristine condition), a Google Home Mini, and a few other miscellaneous items all for around just $30. Personally, I thrift for two reasons. Firstly, because I love finding expensive items at low prices (nice things make me feel nice). Second, thrifting definitely makes a huge impact on the environment. Instead of finding brand new items that cost so much money, you can find items that are like-new for a fraction of the cost. Less materials are being created equalling a lesser percentage of landfill per year (less things are being thrown out). ***ONLINE STORES*** If you sell things online, this is a great location to visit due to the many options of items they possess. You may not find something that's your taste, but it may be someone else's. You could continue to benefit from the item even if you decide not to keep if for yourself. Explanation of the four-star rating: The reason why I give Goodwill Retail Store of University City a four star rating here on Google, is because although this location has a wide selection of items and you're bound to find something neat, the staff just doesn't seem all that interested in being there. Out of the 10 or 11 times I've been to this location, I've only had one positive interaction with an employee. This was extremely shocking to me, as I typically always enjoy the whole experience when visiting a Goodwill. So, all I can say to the employees is to put a smile on! You chose to be there everyday, so make the best of it and be excited about where you work. Whether you want to believe it or not, you are truly helping someone by being there.

For donated items prices are a little high, are offering some bags now but of course at a cost, if prices continue to rise might be better to find items on private media listings. Used Coats at 40.00 ..,ridiculous

It was ok did not have wat I was looking for but lest it did not smell like someone's closet that was baking in a oven for 4 weeks... Also the lady who greeted me had some sweet tattoos going on. I mean they looked awesome!

I had questions about things not marked with prices and she ripped it out of my hands.. and I almost went to the ground. She threw me off balance so bad... And said it's not for sale.. Been coming here for years. They have the best selection of clothes compared to other GW's. The only reason I stopped coming to this location as often is because it gets so crowded. But that said, all the customers are regulars and the staff is always great so shopping here can be fun at times.

I thrift a lot and this is probably the best Goodwill in St. Louis. They always have the best variety of items and are very organized. It doesn't feel dingy at all like some thrift stores sometimes do. Also, best prices unlike Goodwills in South County that tend to charge a lot more.

We love hitting up goodwill often for great household finds. Furniture and decor etc is so affordable here. There are many items brand new with tags, but mostly used items. I also love clothes shopping here.

Clean...got over the fact that the disability employees all talk to themselves and make unusual noises but whomever is pricing is ridiculous ...T-shirt 4$ let it be that not 8 or 10$ just for a character or brand ....if brand new tags understandbly but hasn't been the case....Its a t-shirt yeah no taxes ...Do a buy one half off...its thrift

My 1st visit to this store and it's ok, was expecting A LOT more tho. The items aren't very well displayed, NEED to do an overhaul and re-organize EVERYTHING. Everything is so hard to find because there is no cohesive way in how items are set up.

I Love working at goodwill i have been here for 2yrs. I love helping people and when i am not there when customers see me they ask where i have been and i tell them i do get a day off lol .My customers love me and i love them i try my hardest to do whatever i can for my customers and that way they will come back to my store . Just letting you know before you get to the register with all of your little trinkets and treasures, Goodwill now has a "NO BAG POLICY" meaning, you will NOT be given bags for your purchases!!!! How do I know??? I left with my arms filled with jeans lol sooo... BRING YOUR OWN BAGS.

This place is at the top of my list for thrift stores i go here strictly for my rugs and other things such as 🎥 movie's if you don't have any money 5 vcr movie's for a buck that's cool if you don't have cable a movie every night.and if you need clean trash cans for your kitchen or bathroom for 2 or 3 dollars nice clean dishes you can use for microwave that very important too me.$ yhe clothes are overly priced but other than that iam always in this place 2 hours😜 and it's on my bus stop home. Once i drugged four large bags on the bus😄
