Savers is like a big community rummage sale. Inventory is always changing so pop in once every other month to find something new. Large portion of the store is dedicated to clothing but they do sell furniture as well. The hard part is that the isles become blocked off easily with people.

Very high prices in my opinion, most tags that i saw were $7.99, $9.99 and $11.99. If the items were better quality or name brand i understand but most weren’t. I honestly felt like i was shopping at ROSS instead of a thrift store. On the bright side this was one of the most organized and stocked up thrift store i have been to. They have each section separated, and there is no clothes on the floor. They also have the clothes organized according to size, which is nice when you are thrifting. There were a lot of items that i liked but i was not going to pay $25 for a pair of boots, or $7.99 for a used white long sleeve shirt. The staff there is also very helpful.

7/27/2022 Update: Upon entering, I noticed there were no longer cashiers. They had been replaced by app. 10 self-service checkout stations. I was very disappointed. After finding some items to buy, I looked at the different stations identified as "cash only," "credit and debit only," and "cash and credit," I believe the third was. The items I bought had no UPC code stickers to scan, so after discovering I had to type in a code, I looked the sticker over and took a guess rather than ask the clerk available. I bought three of the same item and there was no option to do quantity or repeat purchase. I didn't like this method of checking out at all; however, I do like the screen which shows the items' department and cost and when purchasing is complete, shows the tax and total. I have another concern. A while back, I was in another thrift store in Brookings and found a Bible history book or atlas. The clerk gave it to me and stated it is against state law for them to sell Bibles as they had already been sold before. I checked the Bibles in this store. One had a price on the outside while another had the sticker inside the front cover. I'd like to know if the law really states that and if it does, why doesn't this store know it? ****** Let me preface this by saying I have adored this store in the past and found many good deals. It has been quite a while since I found a bargain I wanted or could use. And, I don't recall ever finding items with no prices and no items which were hazardous. I hope today was out of the ordinary. I found a small rabbit figurine that was scuffed up and had glue on it; it had absolutely no identifying information on it. It was thin wood in a little metal "enclosure." I had planned to take off its old bow, try and get rid of the glue, and update it with a new bow and tiny flowers in the enclosure. It had no price, so the young lady asked the manager to come to the register. She took it and came back with it and a $3.49 or $3.99 sticker on the bottom. I was flabbergasted and put it back on the shelf for them. Then I found two cute wooden birdhouses that hung from chains with a hanging ring. They were more substantial than the rabbit and had company stickers on the bottom showing where they were originally sold. I laughed; one was priced $1.99 and the other was marked $2.99. I left their bottoms turned up side by side so any interested customer could see them both. I also found a bag of knives hanging on the wall. The steak knife had punctured the bag and was coming out. I reversed the bag for the points to be up and moved it to a higher hook hoping only adults would be interested in the bag. In the office section, I looked at a desk set. When I pulled it toward me, I realized what hit the palm of my hand was a very loosely taped envelope opener. I turned the set around so another customer would notice the moving opener's handle first. I didn't buy anything today. I had a cute metal flower bucket in my cart, but I didn't want the store to be docked with a fee for a 1.99 purchase.

Prices on clothing items were a little pricey for being second hand (e.g. $19 for a flannel and $15 for pants). Negotiating price at the checkout wasnt available for things like rips, stains, or missing items in a pack. Very organized though and a good selection of items.

I like Savers. You can find pretty much any item you need there. They recently replaced all of the check out counters with self check outs though, and since their employees wear plain clothes so it is nearly impossible to find help in the store. They also remived their changing rooms so you can't try anythinf on anymore.

A great place to donate clothes or unused items. I brought furniture once (during covid) and although heavy I knew I could handle the pieces of furniture on my own since I loaded them. I made two trips that day and both times this man came out and unloaded the items for me. Although capable it was nice and worked much quicker than me unloading the pieces myself. Thank you!

Great selection of jewelry to wear and redesign. Always friendly staff, organized store and clean. Great selection of baby blankets for your four legged friends. Books, you always can find a great book and round it up to 3 for a free book. Great children books for your neighborhood free library or to share with your local shelters.

I liked shopping here cause everything was organized in size, women's, mens , etc. The store was very neat how you had signs knowing what was where. Everything was in good shape and the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely come back & tell people about Savers now that I finally made it there!!! LOVE IT!!

Really nice setup. Bright, not crowded, organized with a good selection. Prices slightly higher than goodwill. Masks recommended but not enforced. Free the face approved!

Used to love going here every few weeks and getting some good deals. Seems like in 2017 they became a little too proud of their goods and charge much more than used goods are worth. $18 for a used shirt when I can get it from the sports store new on clearance for $20? C'mon.

The store is great, has everything you could want, but I have a re occurring issue with buying the 45 records here. My problem is that the VERY hard to peel off stickers are stuck right on the record, so scratching the vinyl is really easy. Plus, over half of the stickers were stuck on to the actual label of the record, so peeling off would actually peel the label of the record off; ruining the record from its vintage value. Many of my Beatles records that I bought there had this issue, so I would recommend using a different way to price these records.

I like shopping there but they have gotten pretty expensive, especially clothes , once upon a child has better deals and also your toys .,there isn't anyone supervising so the kids are tearing everything open.i have bout three items this last couple of week that had missing parts ,I got a pair of baby shoes 2 left shoes ! Seriously people shop here because they don't have much money, so don't be so greedy ! Lower your prices a little , you'll still make a profit. Remember that we donate !

Let's say this first: this is primarily a store for used goods. as long as you know that, it's amazing. There are some new items (amazing values) and a number of great values on things that might as well be new (can you tell when you look at a wall clock whether you're the first person to own it?) This is a thrift store that strives to have standards. Used knives may be dull, used clothes may be stretched (though some are donated new) and used electronics may be obsolete. But if you have a good use for an item as it is, you'll practically laugh at the price.

There was hardly any lines open for the amount of people waiting to check out! They never smiled or asked me if i found everything ok! They made me feel like a low life shopping for cheap clothes. I will never step foot in ur store again. I was made to feel like a second rate citizen. No one should ever be made ro feel like that nobody.

savers is hit and miss. Pants, especially jeans you are better off buying at walmart or kmart. But random decor, dishes, and used board games tend to be very cheap. Furniture is hit or miss. I've gotten a decent couch there for fifteen and then seen a crappy one for $35. Customer service is also inconsistent. Sometimes people there go out of their way to make you feel welcome, appreciated, and that you find what you're looking for and sometimes you can tell they couldn't care less. In short (or long I suppose) savers is worth a look but don't hinge your shopping for anything on it being amazing. Wise Buys is better for pricing particularly on clothes and baby gear.

It's your typical second hand store. Compared to Goodwill and a few local thrift shops, it's oddly pricey and like most, a bit dirty. I would not avoid it, but I would not limit my thrifting to here alone when there are other options as well.
