Reviews of Seattle Outlet Goodwill

Good will is simply for the people. A wide variety of selections where I could find many great pieces of clothing. The bins are separated into shoes, toys, random objects, and clothes. They simply put the objects into a bin and you take what you want. The area is packed with tons of people. I would suggest bringing multiple bags to carry the clothes and gloves for safety. It’s also insanely cheap. I was able to buy 5 pairs of clothing for 6 dollars.

I go there almost everyday, cause it's never the same thing. Even with only $5 cause they go but the pound & bring in new bins every hour and take the other ones out. Also you can find brand new clothes with brand names like Adidas etc. One time I bought a $150 Adidas for only$3 with the tag with the price on it.

Thank you, all hard working people who recycle goods and love the thrifting, it’s an adventure your family will never forget. We filled a cart for $50, quality brands, anything you see at a goodwill that didn’t sell might end up in a bin at outlet…Protection your hands with gloves please. We all live in the same house Seattle. Ripple effect, don’t make a big deal if someone breaks something. 🌋Karen’s and Kevin’s ur embarrassing Sea, remember ur manners next time!
PLEASE Mind your own business, and smile on because we even get to have an outlet that sells goods for $1 lb 🖖
Sonja Ross
The Seattle outlet Goodwill has a quiet and peaceful vibe as people work through tables of clothes, shoes, and books hunting for bargains and occasionally sharing special finds with those directly near them. I give it 3 out of 5 stars because the variety of available goods has diminished. I'd like for them to return tables of bags, toys, and other consumer goods to the floor.

I LOVE the bins! I found all of these items in 3 minutes, for only 3.77 😫 it is in a bit of an industrial, run down area, but homeless people are humans too, so don't be rude and you'll be fine!
It's a clean facility and the employees are nice. There's always at least 2 dogs inside, and while not described as dog friendly no one really cares
Alan Becker
If you like to, or don't mind rummaging through bins of all sorts of things from clothing to toys, and dont mind being around lots of people who are doing the same thing, this could be the place for you. They have all of the stuff that is not sold at the regular goodwill stores, including the stuff that is Over priced, so lots of bargains sold by the pound !!!
Theresa Redding
Great prices but not organized, just digging through bins. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Nicole Branigan
My experience here was better than expected.. I read the reviews prior to coming and thought it would be a mess, but it wasnt too bad. I came on Saturday, so there was a line of people. It only took 15 minutes to get in (I was the back of the line). Inside smells of cleaning chemicals that mess with lungs, and MANY bins of clothing, and some with shoes, items. There was definitely enough for everyone, I found 15 clothing pieces for $14. Great for reselling. All was name brand! The only con is the obvious daily shoppers who cheat the line, and reach over you while you’re shopping. Very annoying. The workers were great though!
Procedure:
-Arrive, with gloves and a large bag, as there are not enough carts for everyone. (I suggest wait in the line for the next round, vs go in for only a few minutes)
- When you’re in, use gloves to search the bins, as it’s not clean at all. Search thoroughly, as there are hidden gems
-After about 40 minutes, they have everyone go check out so they can swap the bins. Pay by the lb.
-Go wait in line again if you’d like another round! But make sure you leave ur bought items in a car so you don’t get charged again!

So much stuff and so much fun to sort through. You can find pretty much anything you need. They have large bins full of items and rotate those bins throughout the day.
Blake Hamilton
It’s a wild experience, most people shop as fast as possible & look like Cookie Monsters trying to gobble as many cookies as possible, although in this case it’s collecting clothing & knick knacks. It’s a treasure hunt.
*Pro tip: Go early or save your spot in line & wait in your car (the blue lines indicate where to stand). Choose quality over quantity! I brought back a sweater with lots of rips, because I was shopping too quickly.
Sadie Masterjohn
Crazy, cool, crazy cool? It's large rolley carts in rows filled with random unsorted things. That you buy by the the pound! It works out to be cheap, cheap, like 2 bags of stuff for $10 cheap. The majority of it being clothes, but there is a bit of everything. It's an experience, there is a, "might find a hidden treasure" vibe. A few tips; wear gloves, grab anything that looks interesting and sort out the keepers at the end. Keep a close eye on your cart... I had a couple, " Oh sorry, are these your things?", as I noticed someone going through the cart I was obviously using, moments. They have free bags too after you ring up. Happy Hunting!

It's great! I have so much fun there and wow I always get shocked when I hear how much my purchases cost. I work at the donations department at the burien Goodwill and so I know how challenging it can get at times. So please go easy on us employees cause we do work so very hard and we try to get people in and out in a quick and friendly manner. So and we do appreciate all your donations. Without you we wouldn't have a job so thank you to all
Donna Wong
Be aware of the "shoppers" stealing problem there. You need to really watch your personal stuffs all time while shopping. I experienced myself lost my cart and my purse, also people I know experienced all kind of stealings there. I go there often more than half of the time hearing stealing issues. Besides, there are many times I eyes witness "shoppers" took the goods without paying and walked out. Also, 100s of shopping carts are stolen and lost within a year in this place, it is not easy to get a shopping cart there while shopping. It's not a peaceful place to shop but yes you can find nice stuffs. The staffs are nice to regular customers but they really have to yell at many "not behaving shoppers" there.
Orion “Ori” P
You never know what you're going to find! Got a microwave for $3 and a nice suitcase for $2 tonight, along with $30 in assorted clothes and bags and a pair of winter boots. Make sure you triple wash everything you buy, and bring gloves for sorting through the bins if you're a germaphobe. They start putting away the bins about 2 hrs before close, so get there early for the best selection!
Illinois Jones
Been to nearly 40 bin stores in the USA. Rates nearly first. A madhouse adventure, but a little bit for everyone. Enough room to browse away from the chaos. Unlike some other bins there is also enough for anyone. Wish I had more time to dig when passing through.
jeffery walker
Kinda filthy have to dig through bins but some good clothes if you dont mind digging
Kate Stone
A real treasure hunt. Wear gloves!
Danny Manriquez
The website hours needs to be updated as we weren't the only people who showed up thinking it was open. So unfortunately I don't know how it is ☹️
Michele Scales
After waiting over an hour in the hot sun to get in I was forced out after 45 min. They break their own rule which gives shoppers 1 hour to shop and pay. I understand social distancing but this is not fair!
David Rorabaugh
It's Goodwill by the pound bring your gloves and get ready to dig. There is lots of great stuff here but it you might not see it at first. But if you were willing to put in the effort then dig in and have fun. Most everything like clothing is priced by the pound however some things like blankets, rugs, comforters are priced by size. Housewares $.59 a lb clothing starts at $1.59 a lb and goes down the more you buy.
Jenica Tyler
Serves a purpose, but it's pretty dirty. I always wear rubber gloves to pick through the enormous bins of items sold by weight. It is super cheap and kind of an adventure, be sure to keep an eye on your belongings. Also, no changing rooms.
Degui
Smells bad there,if you don't mind those then you're good to go,cause the price is really amazing, you can not get that price anywhere, for the price I give 4 star.
Danielle Newsome
Actually, was a bit intimidated by the array of bins piled high with unorganized clothing, bedding, and accessories. But, after my niece and I developed a system, we unearthed some great finds! You definitely need to be patient and be okay with moving through piles of stuff. Fortunately, the books and furniture and electronics are separate. There is a parking lot.
Jared Guyer
If you want to buy clothing and shoes by the pound this is your place!
Roberto Mata
I picked up this sleeping bag like new. For only $1.99
Michael Adams
Covid - 19 has severely altered the greatness that "the bins" once held, fingers crossed there is a day in the future where no signs covid 19 adaptations remain. Nevertheless, this is still one of kind metropolis for anyone who gets a thrill or adrenaline rush off finding amazing bargains and deals. If you're not uptight about your belongings being brand new, this place is full of product that is ready for a second chance of life, whether you're reusing, repurposing, or recycling its somewhere here. If nothing else, it's fun just to go discover new things you didn't even know were things until found at the bins!
Marcus America

I've never been to a Goodwill Outlet before. It's a little crazy and very messy (wear gloves). You get to just siphon through bins of things that didn't sell at other stores hoping to find something decent. Everything is super super cheap, however. The furniture is only $2. It's worth it if you really need the bargain but it's much more random than a regular store.
Sonja Edwards
All ways shows me just how creative you can be for Goodwill has all the possibilities... And always catches all my Gemini personalities it's we're you can get a new wardrobe 4 Penny's on the Dollar. Fun place to shop and what it brings out in you love all those shoes to choose from. If you haven't made to Plunge it's time Goodwill is always good fun.
Sarah Fitzsimons
Great deals! Almost everything is by weight so as long as it isn't heavy it will be really cheap! Bring gloves or be ready to sanitize your hands as soon as you leave and wash everything. Love it!
bc dc
Most of the time I always always find fantastic things. Very seldom it's a bust, like today. I'm glad today wasn't my first day there.
Creighton Watley
Goodwill outlet is a store, a destination, an event, and a lifestyle.
If you frequent this place you start to recognize the professionals, the people buying to resell to vintage stores, to resell on ebay, or to ship home and sell in Ghana.
When clothes are priced by the pound and you've got time to kill this is a great place to spend a few hours digging. I never go with any expectations because it's mostly junk. This goes double for anything that's not clothes. Buying any sort of media or houseware that isn't totally destroyed is a miracle.
I think the appeal for me is the voyeurism into other people's lives, as well as the operational decisions Goodwill has to make when they sort all this crap. You can see when someone went to that bowling team building exercise back in '95 and they got a t-shirt, or when someone passed away and their family donated their entire wardrobe to Goodwill and now it's here at the surplus store.
This is a good place for disposable couches, they let you buy them and then come back to get them with a truck.
They switch out the bins about 12 at a time every hour or so, and then it's a feeding frenzy to get all the good stuff. If they bring out shoes or bags look out, you might lose a finger.
This place has to be experienced to be believed, I strongly recommend everyone check this place out regardless of whether they are looking for anything.
Anyone that's a germaphobe should bring gloves.
Dead Rabbit
Man these guys have some deals!
Got in easily, and even though it was crowded, I was capable of moving around the store with pretty goodies. The cashiers were very courteous and the customer support people were excellent and helping me find what I was looking for.
Reavy Washington
For some it will seem a little a weird to be "diggeling", as we call it, they these big blue bins. But when you find the little treasures that you didn't know you were gonna find you actually say to yourself " its worth it" and look forward to the next chance you get to come here.
Servant of the King
I love the deals here!!! Just be prepared to feel dirty and like you need to tale 12 showers. It is so cheap! $1.19lb for shoes, does it get any cheaper?!
Harper-Riley Monroe
This is the kind of place where you literally have to “dig” for the gems. Lol they have some pretty great used clothes. Great brands. You just have to take your time to look. If you don’t mind hand-me-downs 👌 this is a good place. …
Christina Rose
I just wish they had better understanding for holds. Unfortunately they only have 1 hour holds for things. Other than that it's krazy people are rude and pushy over the bens but I like how instead of paying item by item you get to pay by the pound! More for ur buck!!
Nadia Mandroshchuk
I love coming to goodwill outlet store you always can find something good their and stuff is grate.
The only minus is you can never get your self a pair of shoes, their is people who come their for business and they take all the dissent shoes, good luck on getting any pair of sneakers... Sometimes they will fight you no joke. I wish their was a limit on how many pair of shoes you can take... Like 5 per adult, then everyone would had a chance to find something for them self.

If you're a fan of sifting through other people's garbage to find treasures for your own life on the cheap, check out Goodwill Seattle Outlet (open to the public)! What an odd place, filled with odd people and odd artifacts. Among the rubbish you might find the perfect laundry basket, board game or wall hanging. Clothes? Sell em by the pound. Home appliances? Less than 5 bucks a pop. Shoes? Hoo buddy, have they got shoes. Just don't forget to wash anything you acquire, and watch out for dirty needles!
Kim T
Decent prices. Tons of clothes. Great staff!
Terese Nurkala
Without a doubt....THIS IS MY FAVORITE STORE IN THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD! ( I am absolutely sure!) When you walk in and take in the smell, then you hear.."NOT YET! BACK BEHIND THE LINE! OK 2..1...GO!!!.and you see that they have the shoes out EARLY today...you know its gonna be a good, good day! When I say "the smell" I am not saying that it stinks..P.U..I am just saying that it smells like clothes, shoes, housewares...and clothes! The clothes!!! I go to the Goodwill outlet no less than 4x/ week. Every day is ABSOLUTELY DIFFERENT but I am Always surprised by what I come out of there with. Some of the goodies I've "found" there....dont be jealous....Frye tall riding boots Retail $695..paid $1.75....Dolce and Gabbana??!! Yes i got 3 blouses and 3 shorts.sample sizes.brand new $2.10.Yep frickin designer wear, but I am not a size ZERO or 2. Vintage Gucci Sunglasses with case and glasses wipe...RINGS... 18 k gold woman ruby and diamonds..matching earrings, found in a Coach purse (REAL) and I discovered that when I got home. Lots of gold items found in special places that I find a Lot of in the secret hiding place I swear by..and I am not talking! Shoes GALORE! Some are New, most are in beautiful shape. Adidas, New Balance, Coach....and all the Vintage as well as new purses and yup SOME of them are fake but not as many as you would think. TONS of Columbia jackets, Eddie Bauer, the north face... Oh and check wallets and purses...people leave (and hide) their greatest treasures in places only to be forgotten in a pocket of thw pants they brought to goodqill on the other side of the country! Your win..thwir loss. 🙄 yesterday I scored a DKNY leather jacket!! I would rather pay $3 for a new High End designer leather coat at the outlet than $200 for a thin, marginal jacket from the mall. BTW....I have sold an Italian slip for $85 online...boots for $310. Not too shabby of a money maker if you got a good eye for Top Finds!
By all means go there and check out the store. Stay away from a New Bin when you have to WAIT until the employee counts down 3..2..1..GO!!! Seriously...some of the "men" do NOT CARE IF you get hurt by them trying to get all the new stuff into their huge crate. I kept getting elbowed...and YES it was on purpose. Never have I gotten a disease..or scabies..or anything from picking through clothes! Ok maybe dirty fingernails but I can live with that.
Dec 2018 UPDATE
The Goodwill Outlet is still my favorite store EVER. I Scored brand name "Born" Leather Tall Riding Boots for $2.65 and the exact same Boots are on sale at Macy's this week for $240! The EXACT SAME BOOTS I SWEAR. The boots I found were brand new, meaning the boots have never been worn outside before and I was lucky that I was at the bin they filled up with new items. Other stuff that came home with me.....DKNY TALL Riding Boots, DKNY Rain Boots, The North Face White Rain Jacket, The North Face Sweatshirt, and Brand New The North Face Waterproof 400 gram Primaloft Insulation Boots and the bottom of Boots have "The Winter Grip" tread. These items I bought this week. I went 3x to Goodwill Outlet and spent $23 total. That wasn't the price for just the items listed, I got PLENTY MORE...Levi's blue jeans, suede purse with fringe, wooden laundry basket, Calphalon Fry Pan, Swarovski crystals in a clear bag. I pay up to $3.75 for ONE OF THE CRYSTALS at Retail. OK I could go on forever about this store and how I refuse to pay Retail prices for anything anymore and when a friend tells me she paid $90 for her new winter coat on sale, and she for a bargain apparently. But I got 3 new winter coats and also a Calvin Klein leather jacket for the cold weather and I bet I didn't even pay $6-$7 for all 4 coats. The leather was $2.95 the most expensive.
Ok I am done. See you at the Outlet. You NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL FIND THERE!
Kevin Henderson
I once liked this place. Not so much any more. To much of A hassle to find anything really worth a dam with how many people go there now. They just swarm the fresh bins that come out. Lame
Yesenia Murillo
I am a goodwill junky. I found tons of board games for my baby girl, lots of princess outfits. Love this store. Sold by the pound. I got 4 board games, 4jeans (jlo, guess, route 66, ??) 6 princes dresses, 3 pairs of princess shoes and heals for me. All for $32. Excuse me but F!:$& yeah! Each board game would of cost me that.
Now, the reason why I didn't give it all the stars, people are vicious! They don't have enough security. A woman with a child on her arm got trampled. An argument broke out with two males and no of the management team stepped in. Some lady refused to step out of the restroom. Security was called and still nothing. She was in there about 40min. Arguing. AND I'm from California, so maybe it's just there but, none of the clothes is pre washed. They are just dumping. I saw a mouse. Jumped.from the basket where I was to the other side of the row. Eww. If you decided to go, BRING GLOVES!!! AND MASKS!! There's a lot of dust and what not in the air.
lucien pellegrin
Excellent staff, supreme inventory, wonderful patrons. One of the best facilities in the city of seattle, and a life line to many of us. Thank you goodwill bins for all that you do! ❤️
Rick Sutton
Picked up 3 pair of casual pants for less than 10 bucks. Easily 80 bucks worth! Bring your patience. Always wash and dry prior to use.
Lisa Carter
This is good store if your willing to put in the effort of searching through huge amounts of items in bins. Nothing is hung or sorted. But it's very cheap too. Everything is priced per pound, i.e. ten cents a pound for clothing ect.
Maricela Picon
U find clothes for the low.
Theres a lot of people, hard to look with many hands throwing clothes around .
Mostly regular clothes to buy for the pound.
Big area. Coming again tomorrow for some tight leggings.

This place is huge and fun to browse for things you need (and don't need). I usually just come to look at the books since they have a pretty big section for books and they are dirt cheap ($2 - $3)
Tito Gomez
Good and therapeutic places

This dude Ivan that posted a complaint on here.... Get over yourself dude. This is a Salvation Army. They help the homeless and less fortunate community. Maybe if your so uptight about this kind of stuff, maybe you should go shop at Nordstrom or Macy's.... Those people are homeless and have nowhere to go. Let this "Salvation" Army shelter them. Do you know what Salvation means??? Geeez.
Harrison Perkins

Selling other people's junk by the pound! If you need something cheap and disposable I would take a look here and wade through the refuse of humanity. Sometimes people don't know what they are throwing away.
Terry Barksdale
Always full of trash and treasure. Affectionately know as "the bins". Watch out for all the junkies and mental patients who have come to habituate it's interior and exterior.

My first time at this location. It honestly was a zoo and the shoppers have no respect. One employee that made my day was Nick. He found out I was from out of town he let me take my backpack in the store and found a reusable bag to keep my backpack in. There needs to be more workers like him. He also kept a lookout for a cart because all the carts are always occupied. I don’t think I’d come to this location again just because the people were vultures and my personal space felt violated.
