Reviews of Mercer Island Thrift Shop
Really amazed by this Thrift Shop! We got some great stuff - nativity shed, some Christmas decor and really good clothes and handbags!
Well organized, excellent collection and wonderful staff. The jewelry section is especially amazing.
Lovely staff and great selection of quality items. Good place to find great books.
Really good selection with new clothing daily at low prices
My only wish is that I was able to stay longer! The staff were kind and able to store my friend's and my bags while we browsed the store. Additionally, the prices make really nice clothing and accessories insanely affordable. Definitely planning to go again when I have more time on my hands.
Mercer Island Thrift Store is very organized, and have very good products. The prices on items are very low. They have sales ccontinually.
Very nicely organized. A bit more expensive than your typical Goodwill store, but better quality.
Love this shop - great finds and excellent customer service! We called looking for a rug and Liz so kindly scoped out the inventory for us—she even offered to send photos. Highly recommend dropping by and checking out this spot!
This place is always fun to shop at. I got some stuff so that's good. The bad was that the racks are way too close to each other; The staff is stingy with their greetings and warmth; and the prices shot all the way up while they were on hiatus. Woo...sticker shock. Anyway, I'll still go back because, like I said, I got some stuff and I'm supporting young people who need a supportive place.
***Tant, tant, taannt...this is an edit. I wanted to jump in with an update. I received a response from Susan, in Management at M.I.T.S. She was very gracious in her reply and not excusatory at all. Susan, if you are reading this, I really appreciate you taking the time to share with me the ups and downs of your recovery coming out of Covid lockdown. Like I said, the experience didn't totally put me off, so I will be back and will absolutely engage staff if needed when it comes to pricing. Thank you again for your response. All the best to you and MITS!
Prices are sometimes "high" (it's relative) so try and shop during their regular discount days. Small store compared to the "chains" but a good selection. A while floor for clothes, small area for furniture, an aisle of cookware and more. As always when second handing, come prepared to not find what you are looking for but to find what you are not looking for. Name brands galore
Clean, curated thrift shop with great stuff at low prices. If you're looking for homewares like a set of nice dishes or for work attire, this is a great place to go.
Well organized and low priced. The visit before writing this I found a handful of useful items for my home and my hobbies, one of which I was then able to remove from my ongoing Amazon cart. I spent $1.70 on the item instead of $18.99. I have found something interesting, low priced, and worth picking up on every visit so far.
Their merchandise changes daily. It's a great place to purchase nifty, quality used items, all while helping the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services organization! Now they've opened back up again, too!
Nice little shop, it was busy when I wast here.two floors full of odds and ends, clothing to tools. Great prices for what they had on sticker items. Staff where friendly and helpful. This is a place to visit if your looking for something to do. I will come back again.
They have lots of things. I like it and often shop in it. About 3 weeks ago, I bought a side table there. I liked the design and it looked good in the store, however, when I got home and found the table has quite a few small holes on the surface which was covered by a lamp on it when it was deplayed in the store. That made me feel not so good. I know it is second handed, but it still costs me $60+tax. It is not very cheap one and I did expect a better condition than what i found at home.
I'd think about stopping in again if I was in the area. Would not go out of my way to go here. Prices are high. It's a nice little shop.
Donation hours are different from store hours. 9am to 3pm Monday-Saturday. Put clothing donation in the bin if you come after hours. So many fun things to find here--take your time and cruise through the hardware and dish area as well as the clothing upstairs. Prices vary from great deals to higher price for luxury brand items.
Great selection today. Nice staff, nice dressing rooms.
The tag sales are worth the trip. Men's high quality suits are $45. During the 75% sale on purple tags our son got an all wool Brooks Brothers suit for $11. We got a nice solid wood dresser for our daughter for $10 regular price.
A real gem on Mercer Island. They have such a large volume of items that it is worth checking every couple days. The staff are friendly and engaging, prices are a bargain, and you just have to keep a keen eye for that sweet find.
So many treasures to find! I especially love the seasonal releases. The cashiers always appreciate donations of paper grocery bags so I always try to bring a stack with me when I can.
It’s really fun to find little items and antiques here, all at a good price! If your looking for budget items for collections, this is the place to go!
This place is more like a curated vintage store than your usual thrift shop. I've gotten some awesome things there. It's also a little pricier than Goodwill on some things, but not a lot, and when it is it's worth it.
My favorite thrift shop in the Seattle area! Decent prices, some incredible items; this place is a well-kept secret of locals for good reason! Great cause and a great place.
Went in and an employee showed me around. Abigail was super helpful!
The store has a nice variety of goods and everything was well organized.
Whenever I need a gift, I always check here first. So many unusual and unique items! Staffed by volunteers who are helpful and courteous.
Great selection. Very expensive. Thrift stores shouldn't over charge just because they got a specific brand in. $50 used lululemon jacket? Craziness
Good because it’s donating to charity, but prices are ridiculous and the stuff is junky considering it’s on one of the richest pieces of land in king county.
you would really have to come with luck to find anything good here. the price is alright. I think it is also more expensive than regular thrift store in Seattle
I love this little community store and what it supports. The staff is diligent and dedicated, and the store is clean and full of bargains. Do visit!
Small, sweet, thrift shop
Every time you visit, you will find some new object that attracts you
A lot of the items you may find here can vary between junk and gem. Frequent visits will ensure the locating of gem level items.
Very good for a small town. Nice workers to help you around. Takes both cash and credit cards.
Service is pretty bad, and prices can seem pretty random at times. But otherwise the selection of things is more and regularly have decent furniture
Always a fun place. Just wish their long sleeved shirts and sweaters had been on sale in this heat.
3.5 stars. Nice stuff here, kinda hit and miss like most thrift shops. Somethings are kinda pricey.
This was a great experience. Prices are very reasonable and the staff at the shop are very friendly and helpful.
Favorite thrift store. No return policy is a setback. But I still enjoy finding treasures here.
Great offerings of high quality merchandise, if not a bit crowded and small.
Some nice things. Some prices are good, others too high for used items.
I always find something good here. Definitely in my top 5 thrift stores in all of Western WA.
Cozy cute store, staff and kind and helpful. But for used goods it is too expensive.
Old items not a big selection but a lot of clothes
If you want Designer clothings etc. this is the place to go & at very very good price.
All ways good to go there service good , stuff good price only one problem you have to go weeky turn over is fast
Name brands, organized, fair prices, crowded, not very "host" like staff
My favorite thrift store on the Eastside. Prices aren't cheap but the quality is good.
Great prices, awesome special discounts (black label)
Great prices, quality is excellent, the staff are always helpful!
This not-for-profit supports Youth and Family Services.
Been around since 1975 or so.
All merchandise is donated by surrounding community.
Ok place worth checking out for bargains once in a while.
nice stuffs, good prices, well organized.👍 …
Interesting stuff, still, prices are steep for a thrift store.
Wonderful community resource, to reuse, recycle, and support valuable youth and family services.
Relatively small shop with decent items and prices.
Wonderful selection of used goods; delightful layout
It was well organized, and the employees were very helpful.
Medium inventory, some deals can be found here.
Wonderful selection at cheap and affordable prices!
Never know what to expect, some good buys
Always fun to see what treasures I might find!
I always find great things here
A gold mine for thrift shoppers! Wide selection, friendly staff comprised of some volunteers!
The old guy was kind of a meanie pants. Doo doo.
Clothing and items are carefully selected by a caring and personal staff.
Always find excellent goods here

No better finds on earth than the MI thrift shop.
Not open on Saturday...😥 …
