First time in this thrift store and definitely won’t be my last! Easy parking and spacious shopping areas all very organized. They have such a great selection of great furniture (that I’ll definitely be back for), houseware, clothes, shoes, and even wall stuff! I even scored some cute wall hanging and didn’t even get enough time to look through it all. Logan and Keyubba were so friendly and helpful and were amazing muscle to help us move a huge grandfather clock! I also scored a beautiful light and didn’t have time to peruse the clothes (t shirts $1 on Tuesdays!!) but everything looked great and my favorite part is it did not smell like a thrift store (you know sometimes thrift stores have a smell… it’s not bad or good but it’s there)…

I had such a great experience here! After making a donation I decided to have a look around and I found so many cute things! I ended up getting the pictured black dress (belt my own) and I saw (but did not purchase) a funny mug. Lots of fun treasures here, and super friendly and attentive staff! Also, the prices were incredibly reasonable. I will coming back here again for sure, both to donate and to purchase!

I love love love this place! They have the best deals and when I go in it never disappoints. Logan helped me today and he was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. He was able to keep a conversation going and seemed interested in his job not just for the money. I love what this industry does and I will keep supporting until the end. This place is NOT what you would expect from a thrift store. It's clean, organized, and the items could belong in any furniture outlet across the city. The people here are lovely and super friendly. I absolutely love this place!!!

This store is so amazing. The crew that works here is great. Tanisha, Felicia, Eric, Daniel and Denny or all great. Jeremy is a funny guy. Sierra is a great manager. They all always have smiles on their faces. The store is always clean. There is always great deals. We always tell them "see you tomorrow". I Love supporting what they do. I have been to this shop on 3300 South about 4 times and have left with great treasures, but the best part is the employees that work there. I'm always greeted with a smile, and they are sincerely upbeat and ready to help. This company is doing a wonderful service to the community! My latest finds were this dress and leather bag!

I've been tempted to go to this location for weeks now and finally showed up today for their $1 T-shirt Tuesdays! So....I normally do NOT like to drive to Salt Lake County for anything (hate the drive!) but I felt courageous today and drove anyway, anticipating all the goodies that I was wanting to find in this awesome thrift shop. I arrived about an hour after they opened, and it seems like this place is jumpin' even at 11 am in the morning - probably because of their $1 T-shirt Tuesday deals! The shirt aisles seemed tussled already, but I was able to find a good amount of shirts that I said to myself, "I'd buy that for a dollar!" In addition to finding shirts, I found two cute sweaters and a good quality overcoat/raincoat that I'm excited to sport in the fall/winter months! I mean, you have to be a thrifter and have the love to go to thrift stores, for you to drive 40 minutes to, just to go, right? This place did not disappoint - the racks were presentable and clean, there's someone always fixing them, and the employees were friendly. I wish they had a Utah County location, way better treasures and finds than other thrift stores I've been to. They also have furniture, accessories, trinkets, fantastic shoe finds, and a lot more name-brand clothing than other thrift stores in my opinion. I'm an instant fan and this place is the place that will keep me driving to Salt Lake County for!

Great place to shop and super awesome staff! We purchased a couch from here at a really good price. They delivered it to my house this morning for a small fee and also charged a small fee to remove my old couch and take it to the big dumpster in my apartment complex. They were earlier than originally planned which was great. We will be going here more often as there is a bed we saw that we would really like as well. Five stars for these folks!

Coming from an avid thrifter, The Other Side is my favorite! Their prices are amazing and they have such a great selection so you don’t have to spend forever digging just to get something good. Their items are seriously so much better and cheaper than the major thrift stores. The employees are always so nice and helpful every time I go in. Some of the nicest people I’ve met. Also the money goes to an amazing cause and they even can pick up donations. Seriously think about shopping or donating here, it’s a gem!

Reasonable prices. The store is Clean as well as the bathroom. Not cluttered at all. And unlike Savers They have dressing rooms! Service reps were observant every time I needed to use the dressing rooms. They were also happy and seemed to enjoy working there and with each other.

We came here looking for a hutch and found exactly what we were looking for, it was beautiful and only $100. We ended up also spotting a round end table with a storage compartment that we also loved and got that for $30. We also got a 10% discount on everything since we followed them on Instagram. They were so friendly and funny, top notch customer service. When we picked up the hutch they even carried it out and put it in our truck for us. Would recommend The Other Side to anyone looking for affordable furniture with character. Now we will have to go back to check out the clothing and everything else!

I went in on a whim looking for a real wood dining table that didn’t cost a million dollars. I got way more than I expected for only $180. The staff is awesome and they will even deliver it for you! Love this place and highly recommend you check it out.

I'm not sure how long this location has been opened for, but the store is great! We had visited the other side academy's other location earlier that day and had been told there was another, bigger location here. The back story of the other side academy is an awesome tale, you should look in to it. I won't tell it here. The stores offer second hand clothing, furniture and an assortment of other items. They do have new items that had been donated by name brand companies who are affiliated with the cause. All of the items they have on sale are at great prices, comparable to that of other thrift stores in the area. Their clothing is priced to move, in and around the $5 to $10 range for that reason. Walking through the store, you'll notice it isn't cluttered or clunky like some of the other thrift stores you may visit. They are going for a boutique esthetic and pull it off nicely. There are furniture sets in different room settings, so you can see what they could look like in your space at home. We were happy to have found these thrift stores and hope you will stop by and see for yourself how great they are. We definitely recommend both of their locations. Enjoy

This place is like no other thrift store. Truly a non-profit for an excellent cause. I have been to the State Street location and now this location. The furniture selection is insane! Vintage bedroom sets, and sectionals the size of Texas! The staff are extremely helpful and pretty chill. My favorite part about this location is that it’s roomy and smells clean.

It's like my dream thrift store! Full of beautiful furniture in really good condition AND THEY DELIVER LOCALLY! Not even kidding. Bought a gorgeous China Cabinet at the MillCreek location one Saturday and they had two men and a moving truck ready to put it in my kitchen the following Wednesday...for less than the cost of renting a moving van and loading it up myself. Delivery men were punctual, efficient, and very careful. They're also doing it for a really beautiful cause. <3 So it's a triple win for someone trying to improve their impact on the world around them. Less money, less waste and helping others improve their lives.

This is the absolute BEST thrift I’ve been to in YEARS. I’m from Las Vegas and I’ve noticed prices on used item sky rocketing, but this place on the other hand, gave me a sense of nostalgia! 2$ pants, 4$ sweaters and jackets, 7$ shoes. Can’t beat it, the furniture was amazing quality for price as well. They also donate preceedings to charity! Hope they stay open forever.

Wife and I decided to stop here while we were visiting SLC and just kill some time. Personally, I didn't find anything for myself. Men's section in clothing was very consistent of long sleeve colder weather clothes and thing that just either screamed hunting/fishing or too old, clothes someone would wear if they were born in the 60s. Wife on the other hand, found a couple nick nacks and definitely left the store with a couple items. The staff was extremely nice and also gave us the story/goal of the store which was refreshing to hear. Very good store with good message and very clean.

I love this store but I didn't have the best experience..... They had a rug with no price tag and I asked for the price and the lady told me she was going to have to charge me 80 bucks ... And I told them that I couldn't pay more then 25 ... Some guy that she was talking too before I asked for the price... She sold it to him for 25 bucks.....I was pretty mad and I should have said something to the manager... But I didn't want to get the lady in trouble .... Some people will never change but I don't think I will be going back there for awhile

This is by far the best thrift store on the planet. It is clean, organized and the prices are amazing. The program is outstanding and so are all the people involved. When people compliment me on my furniture, rugs, clothing or anything else all I need to say is, “Other Side!” If you haven’t watched the BYU TV show Making Good, Other Side Academy, do so now. It explains the program and is so heartwarming. I’ve watched it several times and cry happy tears every time.

Everyone was super helpful and so happy! A gentleman stopped what he was doing to show us a dresser in the back and it ended up being perfect. We were ready to put it in the back of our car ourselves, but he and another worker insisted on helping and they got it in the car so much better. All of this 15 minutes before closing! The employees are super nice and remember me when I come in; they’ve helped me load the car up numerous times and even did a seamless home delivery for an item that was too big for my van. The more I learned about the organization the more I fell in love with everything they represent! Garrett and Danny came to pick up the items they could use at the store. They were AMAZING! I’ve found multiple treasures at this store! Rattan chairs, lamp bases, and really nice champagne glasses! Unlike other thrift stores that are packed full of junk, the furniture and home goods are spread out in a showroom format, so it’s easy to imagine in your home. And I of course love the super helpful staff and important mission of the store as well!

After looking around, I finally decided to use these guys for a furniture/home items move service. Excellent service and this was honestly the quickest/cleanest pickup that I've had. Garith and Denny did an amazing professional job and felt like my stuff was in good hands the whole time, can't complain about anything and they even took the time to disassemble my bed that was unfortunately to large to fit through the doors at the time. I was even in the second floor of my apt building and they were able to accommodate the inconvenience. 5 stars and will definitely be using The Other Side for any of my moving needs in the future! The staff care about their job, they're happy, and to me that means that they are also cared for! I really enjoyed seeing their twelve "rules to live by" on the wall as well! I wanted to know more about the organization, so I asked the cashier. He told me it's a place where people who have struggled with things like incarceration, addiction, and homelessness are taught and given tools to find their success by giving back to the community and learning how to create a life worth living. That explains why the energy of this place is so on point!! Also, the prices are fantastic!! In comparison with places like DI and Savers, this place was like Harmons! For the nerds in the crowd... Other Side is to Savers like Harmons is to Walmart 😎 Keep up the great work! It's so cool that we get to support organizations who benefit the community like this!!

The academy is such a great place all their different businesses they run always do well including the thrift store which is the best one in my opinion. The store is extremely clean all the employees are ex-cons who are working with the other side Academy to try to better their lives I know the other side Academy has saved a bunch of people from the system. High end quality thrift store

This is one of two locations. If you don't find what you're looking for on the floor, they have a large warehouse in the back with more items. This location has an extensive amount of furniture, while the other location (which also has furniture) has a great collection of frames and household decor. This business is a nonprofit that operates off donations. The donations are much higher quality than other thrift stores. I wanted to know why and then learned about their cause. The thrift stores fund long term rehab for individuals who have struggled with drug addiction and been in and out of jail. Listening to the stories of the employees, it appears to be a program that works and changes lives. The program is multi-year and all inclusive (housing, life skills, therapy, vocational training, work experience). When you shop here, you help fund the program--which includes providing these working residents with a stipend so when they exit the program they enter back into the independent world with a nest egg to help them stay on their feet. All around very cool and worthwhile.
