BEST THRIFT STORE ALL SE PORTLAND. Though a little smaller in sq feet than chain thrift stores they don’t price gouge brand name or nice quality like chain stores do now. And it’s chuck FULL of treasures, in clothing and decor. 10/10 recommend as a very picky life long thrifter !!!!!

This store has some of the best prices I've seen in Portland. Proceeds go to the disabled which makes supporting Arc even easier. The staff are sweethearts, but usually there is just one person (visible) at a time so things may be a bit slow. There are most always sales going on, but sometimes the signs are out of date which can be frustrating. The hours are also a tad odd which makes it harder for me to get there. Also know the dressing room is a curtain which doesn't completely close (yet there is a mirror inside and the gap is on the side where someone would have to intentionally crane their neck to see). It’s a wonderful store that though small has an amazing selection. I'd actually rate Arc around a 3.5, but one of my most common thrifting recommendations.

This location is a perfect addition to the Montavilla neighborhood. It has ample street parking and is located across the street and a short jaunt to two other antique stores. Great area to go when you want to get out of your house and browse.
The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They are kind and patient with my young children. They are very clean and following all Covid guidelines. From hand sanitizer offered and enough space to keep a safe six feet, I feel safe coming here.
Their prices are fair and there are also some high end and antique or vintage items with a bit larger ticket, yet still fairly priced.
This thrift store helps people living with disabilities and is truly helping our community which makes me happy knowing where my money is going.

This retail location when it first opened was quite amazing they seem to have universal pricing books were so much clothing for so much tchotchkes were so much and now they're playing a game where they like to put things out not price them even though they have signs all over the store saying things like all records $1.99 unless priced otherwise and then they say that it was supposed to have been price differently and then they take your items that you just picked out into the back bring them out with exorbitant price tags. The worst was a Tracy Chapman used record that had a scratch on it and they still wanted me to pay $19.99 for it When I questioned why they were putting items on the floor without price tags The woman that I was speaking to got in my face told me that she was distracted and busy with customers and a mistake was made and that if I wasn't happy about it I could leave. So I took my items that they hadn't overpriced paid and well paying another customer had the exact same situation happen and when he questioned the high prices on the records she told us they had a specialized pricing guide and that's where she got the prices from. I don't know if the other arc retail stores are run by such a rude person but I'm going to have to say if they keep this up people are going to stop going. It really feels like bait and switch tactics take items to the floor and when somebody's excited to buy it lie say that it wasn't priced taken in the back look it up on eBay find the seller that doesn't want to sell and so has an exorbitant price and then they come out of the back with that price on the item. I asked if there was somebody else I could talk to about why they price how they do and was also told to my own business. There are two women that work their regularly that are the most delightful people unfortunately this third woman has made an environment that even customers don't feel welcome. When they first open like I said at the beginning they were truly amazing now I think they feel there some kind of bougie antique store and not a second-hand store that people in good faith donated these items to thinking they were going to go and help generate some money for the ark after seeing how this store is run I will never donate to the ark ever again. I also think it's completely inappropriate that they've made claims to having an authentic used world war II helmet but they have zero documentation to go with it and they're still wanting $200 for this uncertified undocumented helmet.

A great little store with very friendly staff. Found some treasures. The store is clean and well organized. Some items are priced a little high but a nice variety for a small space.

Small shop with reasonably priced goods, ranging from clothes to small furniture, electronics and appliances. Friendly staff - casual down-to-earth atmosphere.
