This Goodwill is one of my favorites: clean, spacious, large selection, and mostly organized (better in the morning or when crowds are low). There are a lot of treasures in this one, seems to run through stock quite quickly so I always feel like it’s worth revisiting! The quality of many items is top notch as well; only missed a star due to the small number of dressing rooms and higher prices than I’m used to seeing at a Goodwill. Can’t argue that the clothes themselves are nicer though! It might take a lot of rummaging since the options are many, but the gems I found here will keep me coming back.

This is a great Goodwill. I usually go when it’s quiet in the morning. Sometimes people sit back there in the furnishings and socially distant chat. It’s very nice to hear in the background. Yes the prices are a wee bit higher than one would expect but most of the clothes are name brands and new. The inventory is constantly changing, there are a lot of staff on the floor discreetly tidying and replenishing - all of the hours that the store is open. Lots of books and vinyl records too (it varies greatly how much is available, it pays off to check back) The staff up front are friendly and quick. It all makes for a great shopping experience and there are hidden gems everywhere.
michael perkins
Covered drop off area! Friendly staff and robust carts.
Joseph Graves
UPDATE: The Goodwill actually responded to a review - the first time I've had any of the Goodwills I reviewed do that. It gives me hope that they haven't lost their way.
This is not something I can say for the Goodwills in Clark County.
As far as Goodwills go it was a great experience, which surprised me given the location.
Bigger than most, but still organized.
Plenty of selection, in all departments.
Parking was easy.

One of the better ways to be "sustainable" and "eco-friendly" is to reuse. That is exactly what Goodwill is for. You can donate your unneeded items to the store for free (provided that they will accept them- they sometimes turn down taking things if they're in bad shape). Sometimes you can find new stuff for less online. Fun place for vintage products. If it was once sold, then Goodwill might re-sell it. The staff are nice and it is one of the busier stores on the weekends. Lots and lots of casual shoppers taking a look at the used finds.
Zach Adham
Among the best stores in Portland, though they know it and things are priced up almost always. They recently put code locks on their bathrooms, which can be inconvenient, but for the staff I’m guessing it ends up being easier than having security deal with people doing odd stuff in there all the time.
Rachel Martin
My go-to Goodwill. Have found many treasures here. I love hearing Andy’s laugh throughout the store as he converses with customers while restocking the shelves.
Hannah
Great place to drop off donations. Most time there’s a line
Only went in once. They have a good selection of glass and furniture. Lots of home decor stuff.
Pam Louie
Always friendly and helpful staff especially long time employee Sam Cannon. He always makes time to greet us with a smile as he works hard putting merchandise on the shelves or cashiering at the front. He helps us find things since the merchandise changes daily. The other staff are all great.I just don’t know all their names. We like the color tag sales and Senior Day discount.
N Minthorn
This is one of my favorite GW stores! I never leave empty handed 😁 my family that went with me all found their own treasures too! Cashiers were friendly …
Beth
Great buys.. Went in for a electrical cord and Found a bench for a fantastic deal. Also a Snorkeling set.. Linen's and books shoes and clothing it's all here..
Laina Reginelli
This is a great Goodwill. We were assisted by the manager Barb who went above and beyond to help us. Excellent service, best Goodwill in the Portland area!
Emily Scott
Good finds, organized book selection, friendly cashiers, but can get overcrowded at times. Get to this location when it opens and on a weekday for the best finds!
Leo 2020
Great book selection. There is very little stuff for children. This Goodwill's inventory is about 80% clothing. The water fountain was not working so don't come in thirsty. But, you will enjoy a good deal on all of their almost brand new clothing selection.
Alfred Wiggins
Excellent selection of books, they stand by their slogan. If we need to make something right, we will, Guaranteed. SO TRUE.
linda puckett
I've been to many many thrift stores and I have to say this rates near the top. It is well-organized neat and clean. What place can you and your friends go where there's a variety of sizes variety of items from glassware to Silver to electronics to winter coats to summer tops and have fun for a couple hours. The one on Broadway is equally as nice but smaller. I've also been to the one on 10th and Taylor which is a boutique type Goodwill with high-end items and name brands that are much more pricey. All depends what you're into.
Kast Gregory
They do a great job here of keeping it clean and rotating the selection. Can't ask for more from a Goodwill.
Matthew Douglas
It's a nice place to buy cheap stuff at plus you can find amazing finds!
Bernardo Viscarra
You never know what you might find at the Goodwill. Today I bought a Elvis Presley phone with a Elvis doll that sang jailhouse rock. A limited edition. A real good find!!!
Aron Wiprud
Great place, cheap high quality running shoes, Woot Woot!!!
Mitch Couch
Very clean store, huge parking lot, convenient location. Lots of books to choose from at this location.
Yvonne Chen
One of the best Goodwill stores in the Portland metro. Many great brands, tons of new items, and a lot of beautiful decorative pieces and kitchenware. Very well organized and clean. Friendly staff!
C Yager
Plenty of parking, good selection of children's books.
Phil Gowle
Love this location! Always has great items, DEFINITELY A GEM.
Justin Selby
The best selection of stuff you can find in any Good Will anywhere that I know of. Unfortunately their prices are starting to resemble Fred Myers prices for clothing and shoes. Literally there was a pair of Adidas in there for 60$. Tripped me out right out the store. Still a great place to find amazing cool stuff for mostly fair prices.
KillerTofu
Book arrived in better expectation than I anticipated. Shipping was faster than anticipated as well and packaging was great! 5 stars. I would order from them again. Thank you so much.
Cassie Myers
It's got a good selection, and people shopping for clothes should be able to find something. I got a cute, silk & lycra jacket from this location.
That's about where the good things end. They do have some security, and they were watching me the entire time. No clue why, but it was extremely uncomfortable. The job of security is to monitor, not passive aggresively stare down customers for zero reason.
This Goodwill runs into the same issues as others in that its prices are rising, which is ridiculous for donated items. Its not as bad as the one on Halsey, but prepare to spend more money than you planned.
Would I go back? Only for the convenience. I live out of town and my parking is around a half mile from this location. It wasn't awful, but not ideal.
Pat Schalbrack
Big store with excellent selection of books.
K. Ching
They have a covered drop off center. Excellent
Richard Busby
It's you're a second hand shopper or bargain hunter this is a great place to shop. The merch is weeks displayed and very well priced. You do have to look for small defects, after all it's second he and stuff. Fantastic bargains can be had especially if you know brands and quality things. Drinking glasses, plates and cooking gear is dirt cheap and if you luck out you can get new or akmost new at pennies on the dollar.
Irish Zwack
I'm used to shopping at our local Goodwill on the coast, where the selection is pretty good, the store is clean and the employees are friendly. Today we visited the store on 99 E in inner SE Portland, and it was quite a bit different from the ones we visit on the coast. Here, the store was larger, but the selection didn't seem as varied, although they had quite a few nice things at reasonable prices. The store itself seems shabby, rundown, and in need of a thorough cleaning. The staff stocking shelves varied from apathetic to downright rude, although the checkers all seemed nice. My other gripe was the dearth of available carts. Most people, including ourselves, were dragging around small baskets on wheels. The handles were too short to be comfortable for me, who is 5'7" tall, and agony for my 6' tall husband.
While none of these issues would stop me from shopping there again, the experience wasn't nearly as relaxing and nice as it could have been. Too bad, because I usually enjoy shopping in Goodwill stores.
Amanda Wilson
Not very goods:
-I have visited a few times and selection was not good at first glance.
-Many items are priced unreasonably high by $3-$7 higher than it should be. Inconsistent pricing.
-One female staffer was not welcoming.
The goods:
-On the 4th visit I begin to find a lot of great clothing items. Unique brands to justify the higher thrift store prices.
- 9 out of 10 staffers seemed genuinely happy and thus were super helpful to customers
- dressing rooms are managed tightly resulting in clean and organized dressing rooms.
- colored tag of the month gets 50% off
I bought a lot of great items that were quality pieces and at a fair price for being second hand. $200 spent and felt I got a fantastic wardrobe! Shoes, clothes, and bags.
Children's book selection is weak.
Nate Combs
Went here today. The prices here are SO much better than the Gresham, Sandy and Glisan locations. I'm glad they aren't sheep just following the flock.
Ashley Court
I have been shopping here for over 10 years and the prices have gotten high and so out of control. I have to ask myself why, when everything they sale was free and donated it says it's a nonprofit well it's time for an audit because someone is making a lot of money!
Kaj Persson
It's Goodwill. Cheap prices for everything (pretty much). This is a pretty expansive store, I think it's the headquarters. I used to shop at Goodwill a lot until I found out that they (supposedly) pay their hard to hire, and physically/mentally challenged employees $1.50 an hour. I am not okay with something like that so I cut back on my shopping with them. If I find out that's true I will stop shopping at Goodwill, period.
C S
My daughter and I absolutely love goodwill, but wth is going on with their prices lately?? I was looking at some plain Jane Levi’s and the price was $20..are you kidding me!? So I asked one of the workers that was close by and she said, yea I know, our prices have almost doubled in the last year because goodwill has caught on that they are super popular with kids..it’s the trendy thing to do. Do you really need to squeeze more money out of a business that’s basically all profit anyway!?
Nandi Pathefinder
Many things are broken, remember to leave the sticker on until u test it if u want to return it. A lot of their prices don't seem that great, especially considering they get their products donated for free. But I guess that is how they pay the executive's hundreds of thousands of dollars while they pay most of the workers minimum wage or less. I shop here because this location gets a lot of merch & sometimes I find things I don't see in other thrift stores. Even with my criticism of their pay values, I still like supporting local reusing instead of new manufacturing that creates more waste.

Portland has perhaps some of the best Goodwills in the western states. I speak as a book seller who buys thousands of dollars of Goodwill books all over the west every year. The books are almost always in great shape, well laid out and clean. The clerks are usually very helpful and polite and they are pretty quick to get my 2-3 shopping carts sorted out and charged.
HOWEVER, the prices are getting ridiculously high and I am not buying nearly as many books there as I used to. I'm shopping for places where I can get books for less money of equal quality and I think I've found a few (trade secret) SO I won't be shopping at Goodwill nearly as often or spending nearly as much. I think I reflect the opinion of many dealers (some of Goodwill's best book customers) as well as general population customers when I say that they need to reassess their prices for books!
Candace Benard
I just dropped a car full of clothes.
The young men were so nice they had gloves and mask on for protection and helped empty my car.
They were so polite greeted me...also patient i am 68 years old...they pointed me to where i needed to go.
All and all great experience
Cole Downey
Great organization, clean, and lots of great finds.
Kristi Lee
This is BY FAR my favorite Goodwill store in Portland. Every time I find amazing, one of a kind items or clothes- it's always busy and there's a reason why. I'm not sure how they determine which things go to which store, but this one has *never* disappointed me. Their cashiers/clerks are usually positive and seem to enjoy what they do. LOVE THIS STORE.
Heather I
My favorite Goodwill in Portland proper. It's kept clean and fairly organized, the staff are always helpful, and it's a lot bigger than most of the other locations in the areas of the city I travel in, which means a bigger selection. I'm not the only one who's noticed this, so it can be a little crazy on the weekends, so I try to go on off peak hours.
Rebecca Seifert
It's always fun to shop here there you section is my favorite, but they have a lot of choice in all sections. It's one of the best Goodwill's
Emma Brophy
Conveniently located and has lower prices than the downtown "boutique" Goodwill. Always has a lot of selection, although you'll need to get there early to pick up items in the color of the day. Often a bit disorganized, probably due to high traffic.
Donnielle O'Neill
Didn't find what I went for. But still ended up other things I needed
Jodi Clark
This is the most awesome Goodwill I have been to. It's got lots of exciting things different all the time and the prices are affordable. It's got interesting items in all departments and the staff is always helpful and entertaining when you talk to them. I come from Eugene to to go to THIS STORE. Wish it was closer to my town....
Ronald Waugh
Great store with a greater purpose.
Luqman Hakim
There is huge selection wear for men and women
Prentiss-Jane Fabela
Goodwill is the bomb! I always find stuff hella cheap and more often than not brand new here! It's clean, the staff are usually very friendly and helpful. I Will say there is sometimes a sketchy element usually involving its clientele but hey, it's a freaking thrift store, duh. But most people are just shipping for deals. My only complaint is that there are rarely shoes in my size, there are always womens 8 but hardly 6-1/2...cansome tiny footed people donate please?!
Christeen Johnson
You can find nice things but prices are too high for used goods when you mostly find new items for the same price at Ross and other similar strores. Especially, when they get everything for free and the CEO makes millions while workers make barely nothing!
Logan Ricketts
Love this place; easily my favorite Goodwill in the entire Portland metropolis. Good electronics section, aisles of books, also often has awesome older stuff (picked up an early 1900s camera there). Definitely worth a look.
Justin Booth
This used to be my favorite Goodwill of all time. I would often find nice treasures at a reasonable cost. Now days however that is pretty rare to the point were I don't bother going anymore. Goodwill is clearly pulling items of any worth and putting them on their website instead. Sort of defeats the joy of shopping at Goodwill.
Annabel Pirrie
One of the best Goodwills out there boasting a solid record selection and a fantastic VHS offering. Have found good plates, photo frames, and clothing (Patagonia) here many times.
Vision Flow
Love it. We had looked at "vintage" stores all day-all overpriced for clothes. Came here and bought 4 pants, two pairs new knee high socks, 1 shirt, 1 book- 36.00. Just one pair of pants at the vintage place was 26.00. So, yes, Goodwill did it again! Thanks Goodwill.
Delicia Rice
Although I didnt find what I wanted I did however find something's I did need to get like a raised bowl set for my dog
Annette Crouch
I been working for good will for for 27 year's. It's has it's ups and downs. But I like working there.
Jacqui Colston
Taking the MS Office classes that are being offered. Very good. I have a BA and have started working on my MA. Learning the little tips and tricks that I did not know will prove useful for my school coursework and in projects at work. Now I feel empowered to pursue a full certification in MS Office through Microsoft. A credential that will set me apart in the job market!
Samantha Will
I was disappointed that the summer hats were between$6.99-$9.99 I can get them cheaper brand new. Their prices often make no sense anymore. A new dress with a store original tag for $168.00 had a good will tag of 7.99 but the straw hat was 9.99.
Michael McAnulty
Best Goodwill I have ever been to. The store has a huge variety and it is kept tidy. The career center offers free classes, and the customer service is really good. The employees will go out of their way to help you.
Kevin Woods
This Goodwill is at the end of a decent sized strip mall with plenty of private parking. The donation center and parking center have two different entrances.
I only came here to make a donation. I was in and out in less than 1 minute.
Stephanie Cheung
A very well run store with friendly staffs and organized display of products. Special thank you to Natalie and team for assisting me with an amazing find.
Serra Hadsell
It's Goodwill. They have less kids stuff, particularly shoes and puzzles/games, than some of the other ones, but lots of toys and sport stuff. One of the best for women's clothing i think.
Brianna Barclay
This is one of the better goodwills, you can still find good deals. On this visit I bought a pair of nice leather shoes for 2.50$ they where half off color that day. Some prices are higher but you can find deals.
Jesse Keyes
My dirt-poor white trash childhood is weeping in shame at this place. It's the Goodwill "boutique" and I kinda don't get it. So... used stuff at trendy vintage prices I guess? But there's more selection and better items at the 47 other vintage stores near by.. so.. but hey at least it's not that Hollywood Video that used to be there..
j spain Greene
It's confusing because they have their clothes split up in family sections. You don't know what the sizes mean. One great thing is they have some newer video games at great prices. Just by sheer size - they have more more "sections" - however, that doesn't mean much more selection...notice the difference.
Landon Heine
Courteous staff, quick checkout, very good variety
Helen Leong-Luke
'Loved this spacious space, full of affordable clothing for all..clean, helpful and courteous employees! I came to look, then bought pieces for a school play, spent $200.+ (probably saved 2 to 3 times that much..).
Mama Clack
Big store. I come here for the large book selection. Good place to build your library for $1 to $5 a pop. I don't buy anything else so I can't comment on the rest of the store.
Sky Grady
Decent selection for most things except men's clothes. Being the gender neutral city we are they no longer have a men's and woman's department. Now it is refured to as family. Enjoy!
adam calzada
So much stuff. Gets a 3 Cause they should not charge full price. They got it for FREE!!
Bemmor Bolton
Very nice cashier, and very patient with customers
Phillip Bozarth
This Goodwill has a great selection of books records and at times new and used postcards it is handicap accessible and is clean with a friendly staff big parking lot near very near streetcar lots of trees also which is refreshing
Alyssa Reid
Donation drop off (drive through) is on 7th - around the corner to the left, if facing the main retail entrance.
Lots of books, good beadwork grab-bags at the jewelry counter, many housewares.
Gregory Martin
I really have allways love going to all of the goodwills in the pdx area cuz i allways find alot of very good stuff toys.they really make me feel very good about myself.cuz they have allways been there for me every since i was 7years old cuz i was put into CSD when i was 7years old and i never had my family around me so my teddy bears have allways loved me and cared for me.thank-you guys and lady.Gregory Scott Martin
Mo Jo
Good prices, not so good of a selection but I was specifically looking for a pull over sweater. Yet, seemed the inventory was a bit sparse in general... maybe the result of more people shopping there.
Debbie drorbaugh
Fun place to poke around for stuff you really do not need , but just want. Some of the prices are really too high on clothing. Household items are decently priced tho.
Amanda Janney
This Goodwill is huge! That being said, I feel like the ratio of "awesome items" to "meh items" is a little low. I did find all of my dishes here really cheap!
Sam Bullen
Didn't have any issue. Just a good will with all the bits and bobs. 4 stars because it was nothing special but still very good (friendly staff, good selection)
LaDene Cermack
Wear a mask, follow protocols on distancing and use good sense.
Don't touch it if you don't need to. And I try to only touch the hanger. . . not the cloth.
Franklin “FDub” Weichelt
One of the cleanest, most organized Goodwills I've ever been too with quite a wide selection of everything! Almost felt like a Ross!
Stefen Lunn
Excellent Goodwill, doubled as a Halloween store for my visit. Large book section, large appliance section. Very good clothing selection.
Ted Wittman
This is the biggest Goodwill I have gone to in the area. The selection is what you would expect from any Goodwill store but many more options. The large item/furniture section was much smaller than it could have been which was a little disappointing. Worth a walkthrough.
RobbD
Hey Barbara Telfer , if you care so much about those other two local thrift stores that contribute to the community, why not list them here? I'm genuinely interested, but you're not providing substance of your claim...thus really missing out on the opportunity to help your community that you care so much about. Be proactive, Barbara...instead of just complaining.
Todd Grosby
Always buy used your wallet will thank you
Dawn D
It has a huge book section that I love
Kat-Alex ni'loughlin
I know there's a lot of controversy about Goodwill, but it makes it easier for me to find nice things that I can afford, such as clothing and household goods.
Adriana Figueroa
I spoke to Ed in e-commerce who was very helpful, and assisted me when trying to locate a missing package. Thank you I will continue to shop here
Rebecca Keever
This was a great goodwill to visit. They have so many items on the shelves. This one is bigger then most.
Lesley O
I really enjoy goodwill but their prices are a little to close to retail on alot of the items...just sayin!
Julie Zwyer
I love their handbag selection and their book section is insane! This Goodwill I think is my favorite in the Portland area.
Thomas Freeman
Over priced as always. Security guard profiling following us around all the way to the register where he witnesses our paying for our goods as always. How many times is he going to waste his time and employers money following us
Jeremy Mulcahy-Hill
Compared to our local Goodwill this thing was a Walmart. So much stuff and not a that dirty feel to it either. Will have to go back.
Henry Underwood
Very big store, great selection of books, lots of good things to get an apartment started, especially dishes and basic furniture.
Rebecca Peterson
Love working here at the Goodwill industries of the Columbia Willamette a good place to work
Marc Wells
My wife and I went looking for specific clothing and, after a bit of searching, found just what we were looking for at a very reasonable price.
Mike Chattick
Great quality variety. Staff friendly customers rude as hell. Grab a cart and prepare to be pushed and bumped into.
Laura GooGoo
Plus size selections seem to be given less and less room. Fitting room rules not consistent between stores
Lisa Huber
Very clean and organized. Good product and prices. You won't find any junk here!
Bud Coe
Awesome store.,.. great experience.... Goodwill Oregon shopping is just a good experience....go ...shop
.... save money.....they really do it right for resale shops.
Enots Starr
Good place to go on deals with plenty of time to get lost in it a decent size and there product is nice for a goodwill
Walter Clayton
It was hard to get any help in the clothing section. I wish to get measured for a shirt, but no one would oblige. So, I did not make a purchase
Tom's Thrifty Life
There is stuff to find here.
Fated Meteor
very nice selection of things but the prices are a bit much for items

I always find something here! Clothing, drapes, rugs, lamps, shoes, bags, all things kitchen, books and vinyl. It's all here - little more spendy than it used to be but some of my most used and treasured items have come from here. Get there early when it's nicely organized and not picked over

Love this location! So many goods to always be found! The toy section needs some work... Other than that I love to shop at this Goodwill!
