We enjoy this place - there are some good finds for good prices. Especially on Wednesdays, which is half priced days, where everything is half off. My husband goes here fairly often and finds some good items here sometimes. Some days, he might find nothing, and other days he finds a lot. So, it can be hit or miss, but I definitely recommend checking it out because you never know what you may find! But overall, we prefer this place to other thrift stores because it has better prices compared to other thrift stores.

Community Aid is my go-to thrift store. It's clean and very organized. I found a storage unit to use for my sewing supplies for $6. If I had bought the same thing new ot would have cost about $40. I can always find something there.

As a long time thrift shopper, my family always went to salval. After coming here though, it's hard to go back. It's overall appearance is generally more spacious, clean, and organized. Wayyyy more shoppable compared to salval. The sections are organized by type, size, and color. Incredibly easy to browse and try on. Half off on Wednesdays is a great deal. Have furnished my apartment at a fraction of the cost I anticipated and get new funky work clothes whenever I need. My suggestion for good thrifting finds is to browse outside of your "size". I have found I can fit in a 2-10 depending on the brand and how you wear it. A oversized crop becomes a flowy shirt, experiment a little and I promise you'll find a gem!

This used to be such a nice place to shop. The workers handled our donated stuff like garbage. He tossed a box of housewares 6 feet into a bin that he could have walked over to. VHS tapes have been removed from the accepted items list, yet they are for sale in the store for 5 dollars. The organization in the glassware section has gone terribly downhill. They used to sort by color but now it's whatever. The bin of picture frames is gone and now there's just a few expensive frames against the wall. I can't speak for the clothing, but considering that my mother and sister leave empty handed so often, I'm thinking that the prices aren't very good there. I know with all the inflation and stuff, but this is a donation store. All the items come in for free. Goodwill's prices aren't even as outrageous. I'd say just go to the Goodwill bins outlet on Lincoln Highway. I find much better stuff there anyway. The only reason I left 3 stars is because once in a while, there is something cool in the electronics section, like a pair of walkie talkies that are identical to the ones in Stranger Things (my sister's favorite show), but most of the time it's just jumbo-button landline phones and ethernet boxes. Not worth it anymore.

I like going here to find clothes, they have colored tag specials for a dollar everyday and I can find some really nice clothes. Tuesday's are 50% off your total for senior citizens discounts if you qualify. They have numerous other stuff also and everything is reasonably priced

Large, clean and well-organized store. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I shop there for my kids and my big sister who is disabled and can't shop herself. She is always happy with everything I find for her. And a kids' section is a real life saver for a mom of two preteen boys who destroy their clothes beyond any common sense. Some items like shoes or handbags are overpriced for a thrift store even with a 50% Wednesday discount. Guess whoever is in charge of pricing, is taking hints from Ebay similar items' sales. But still a great place to buy casual clothing, household items and tons of cute but useless knick-knacks you'd never consider buying for a full price. Speaking for myself the most fun and enjoyable part is browsing the shelves looking for something I do not need at all turning something I can't live without. For example a brand new UGG oven mitt and a large oil painting of a dog who looks exactly like mine.

I had a pleasant experience here. I got some deals. It's a great place to buy baby and kids clothes. Apparently Wednesday is family day where everything is 50% off. Healthcare and first responders get a discount on Fridays. They do play Christian music in their stores. It doesn't have a musty smell like some thrift stores do.

Came here on 50% off Wednesday and walked out with 22 items for $55! Mostly name brand clothing and very good condition items. Takes a while to look through everything and fitting rooms only allow 4 items at a time which prolongs the time, but overall happy with my items. Only downfall was every sign said 50% off all tags and once I got to the register was told the blue tags are not 50% off (which was about 1/3 of the items I had picked). Wish they were a little more clear on that with signage.

Incredible selection of clothes for the family as well as household items of all kinds. I love the bright lighting, ample fitting rooms, wide aisles and plenty of checkouts. Also, women will find clothing sorted by color with most items tagged with the size! Slacks and jeans are sorted by color and by size. The proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations that make a difference in our community. Tuesday is senior day with the majority of items half price; Wednesday is family day. Check it out! 6/1/2020 I have to add something to my review, not about the store itself, but about reviewers. Most thrift stores get the contents they offer for free; of course. But we all need to bear in mind that some items are not clean or in condition to sell. It costs $ to dispose of items. It costs $ to run the electricity, the heat, the AC, pay the staff, clean the store, advertise, etc. "Free" to the thrift store does not mean they're making 100% profit on every item! Anyone who wants yard sale prices can go to yard sales and bicker. Everyone else, realize that much of the funds raised to back into organizations in our community, and help so many people.

As an avid thrifter, I find many of the prices in this shop too high. Paying $5 for a tiny glass vase that would cost $2.50 at Walmart takes the fun out of shopping at this store. On wednesday, most items are off 50%, so that's the best day to visit!

I love to shop at Community Aid. Everything there is clean and in good condition. I hate to shop in the regular stores anymore, everything is SO expensive! I find everything I need, and some interesting things that I don't really need, at Community Aid for a fraction of the price. And when I go through my things, I feel good donating things in good shape to Community Aid. So, I'm back again, I visit this store regularly and I always have a good shopping experience. I was just there this past Tues, 9/14/21, and I wanted to commend the associate by the name of Brandon who helped me by taking a heavy wooden tray table from the back of the store to the front checkout while I continued shopping, and the girl named Alexx who brought the heavy tray table set out to the car for me and put it in my trunk. The people who work here are fantastic! Btw, my family gives me assignments all the time to look for stuff for them, lol!

Only been to one so I don’t know if it’s standard procedure, but it’s kinda lame that they take vintage items and stick them behind the counter with huge price tags. That’s the appeal of thrifting, finding a good score. The obnoxious Christian rock was also a thumbs down. But clean, friendly and good variety. Average prices on most things.

Other than cashiers sometimes thinking because I have 4 items that are this price, the fifth one (that isn't) must be the same, & placing in that price for said item, I love this place. Fairly priced. Can sometimes find amazing deals & other times things seem over priced but I'm very satisfied with this store. I have thrift shopped all my life and to find a CLEAN elite diaper genie for $6 is definitely a steal. Used shoes over $10, not so much. But... I'm here to leave a positive review. Rant over. :)

I absolutely LOVE this store. In comparison to other thrift stores it is so clean and well organized, there is always fresh product. The employees are incredibly nice and everything is half price on Wednesdays! I have gotten so much clothing and books and accessories for both myself and my son here, it's saved me so much money!

This is one of the biggest, cleanest thrift stores to which I ever been. They likely pump the scent of cleanser through the ventilation system... that's how clean it smells. The look is equally impressive... white-washed and well-lit, with everything well-organized (by color, etc.) Prices are reasonable for what one might consider an "upper-scale thrift store," should such a thing, other than a consignment shop, exist. I will definitely be checking out this store more often.

My daughter in law love this place.We don't get to go as often as we would like to. The prices are good , but they are going up.😞. I have a very large family that I look for .I really like Wednesday' s for everything is half price. My husband loves to read so I try and get him books. We travel from York Pa.to Lancaster to shop. As of January 16th 2021, they were accepting donations, I didn't realize they won't take Christmas items right now. Guess they ended up with too many! But definitely taking everything else and the long was long but moved very quickly even with just one attendant.

Community Aid is a very large Christian thrift store. It's very much like The Salvation Army. They have a great selection of clothing, knick-knacks, and toys. I've been there many times, and I always walk out with some obscure treasure. There's nothing particularly special about it except its size. Another thrift store that's close by is Goodwill, but it's not nearly as big.

VERY large thrift store! The prices are great, and the selection of items is pretty diverse! I don't frequent thrift stores often, however this is one of my favorites. Their "dollar days" are worth the trip for sure! While you can't try anything on during those sales, it's still worth it!

Nicely organized, kinda pricey. Good sales. But be careful what you donate. Do NOT donate antiques that are not pristine. Even if you know they are in demand, sell it yourself or take it to a non-thrift store to sell. They throw out anything old that isn't perfect. This includes 1st edition valuable books that have dinged edges or something.

Enjoy looking around and shopping for great deals. There's alot of different things to choose from depends on what your looking for. I have always made out pretty well and found great stuff at a bargain! Definitely worth stopping by. The best part is you know your helping out the community by shopping there.

Having been to several used clothing stores, CommunityAid is by far the best. It's the largest, cleanest, and most well organized. Other stores have more of a variety of non-clothing items, but overall not the best. This place has a massive collection of clothing, every style, color, brand. If you're looking for a prom dress, they have it, dress clothes, casual, business, fitness, shoes. The womens' section is considerably larger than the men's but they still have a good selection. There is also a good collection of books, nick-nacks, and household items. There are many changing rooms too. Highly recommended over their competitors.

They should advertise most of the kids clothes arent half price on Wednesday. They market half price Wednesdays, but then everything with a green tag isnt half price and lots of things have green tags.

Big facility with well organized items and friendly staff. I specifically went for newborn items beyond clothes and toys and didn't find anything. Then I looked for kid clothes but didn't find much in the specific sizes I was looking for. The books need reorganized alphabetically by section, breezing thru the section made my eyes hurt. LOL

Best Thrift Shop Ever!!! Everything in order by size, then by color, pants hung so you can see them super easy, Great for ppl with OCD and to see the style you prefer! Love it everyday, except Wed... 22 mins in line to check out for Wed sale prices will Not happen again, Wayyy to many ppl for me! But, I did get 6 pairs of khaki / jeans for $14.95!!! Two years ago I need all new pants after surgery... Left with 13 pairs for a total of $55!!!

I love this store. If you need anything, and I mean anything, stop here first. Why pay full price when you can pay less and on Wednesdays even less since they take an additional 50% off their price on Wednesdays? Its clean, organized, and the staff are friendly. Its a great place for baby clothes and all second hand clothes, books, games, household wares, shoes, purses, pictures...etc....if you want it they more than likely have it! Take a look you wont be disappointed.

I love going to community aid shopping. Staff is helpful. The store is very well organized and easy to find stuff. Clothing is sorted by mens, womens, boys and girls. They are then sorted by size. After that and to top it off is, that they take the time sort everything by color. Making it much easier to find exactly what you are looking for. They offer discounts on certain color tags. And other daily discounts on top off it. Much better to buy second hand clothing than pay an astronomical amount for new clothes.

It's okay, my grandmom likes it. The shrimp scampi was good, so was our service. I just feel like this place needs a bit of a revitalization. I remember when they first opened to great lines out the door and now it's a little run down. We were there at 10 and they were closing up and locking the doors despite being open for another hour. You can get good food here and a good drink, it just isn't what it used to be.
