Honestly I gotta give unique a 3 out of 5 stars. I’ve found shoes, shirts, sweats, jeans and many more for honestly good prices at times. Sometimes I’ve walked out with a couple outfits for $50. The prices can be a bit insane at times. $60 for worn shoes??? $100 for some Harley Davidson t shirt??? It’s a thrift store not Depop or eBay!!!! It’s honestly a hit or miss. A lot of resellers take all the good stuff. It’s a great store to find great clothing items for a steal. But the resellers and often expensive prices is why I don’t go as often. Not a bad thrift store but not the best. Staff has always been friendly to me and manager was always polite I don’t know other’s experiences but this is my honest review!

UNIQUE delivers on the idiosyncratic and distinctive. It is a thrift store like any other. The displays provide for frivolity and spontaneity in purchases that you will not regret, and you didn't realize you needed it until.you saw it on the rack or shelf, as the case may be. Staff was informative and masked. Pairs well with the faux Louis the 14th furniture store it cohabitates with. Watch for killer sales and deals.

A lot of ítems to look, I found a few interesting items. Shoes are expensive thought must shoes were at least $15, considering that you can buy a new pair for as little as $20 their prices for used shoes are expensive.

I have been going here for many years. Recently ( over the last two years) their prices have been out of control. If you go on a weekday you might find some good bargains but you really have to look. All their name-brand/designer items are way overpriced. You’re better off going to the mall or Target and pay a little bit more for something brand new. It’s sad what has happened to the store. I rarely go anymore. If I need a costume, books, glassware or specific clothes I may stop in but other than that there are too many other places to go for a true bargain. Don’t let the three color discount codes fool you. All the nicer things will not be on sale.

When Unique first opened i use to find some good stuff now their prices are out of control i dont know what they’re thinking can go to Marshals and find brand new items cheaper than Unique. I hope they wise up they would sell so much more if they had thrift store prices

I found some things I wanted there. I didn't find a black cast iron skillet but maybe next time. This store goes with color discount like green tag could be 50% off, pink tag 25% off like that and orange tag could be 75% off. I look for the 75% off or 50% off deals.

This Unique is big and spacious. Has great value on clothes and furniture. Purchasing is a breeze with self checkout. Good customer service. Products are hear and clean. As with all Unique stores, has 50% off days which makes it all the sweeter.

Excellent! I was looking for a vhs player. On the market they are pretty expensive since they are considered obsolete. I did my research and prices are above $150 each. MyUnique Thrift had a couple of them which I bought to finish my project for $6.35 the two of them. I really hope they work, but for that price I cannot complain. They have pretty good stuff there, I strongly recommend this store.

I love the store. I always find something pretty for the house. The only reason I am giving three stars is because of the staff, specifically , the cashiers leaders. One of them is a male (Hispanic looking) with no customer service skills whatsoever. He is straight rude and constantly yelling at customers and fellow workers. It is sad that the management don’t know how to choose their leaders and customers have to pull up with people like that.

Attention: Check my other review of the Unique in Elizabeth after, share the news of their abuse!!! - Quite the cool atmosphere here at Unique Thrift Store in Union, NJ. The lines are fairly short, I am glad they have automated their payments to maximize efficiency. Technology can be a gift to mankind when used right. No one likes long lines. Moreover, the staff themselves are fairly young and vibrant; not boring, middle-aged people who do not care about their jobs. All were courteous, prompt, and understanding of any issues. Giving 5 stars for their always resourceful bounty of great clothing, superior environment, and giving a promotion to a fellow family member.

I've found some pretty cool things at all the different Unique stores I've been to. You definitely have to look but I found a brand new Kenneth Cole leather jacket there as well as nice work clothes! Pretty cool!

Great store! The shelves are fairly organized and prices are reasonable. The toy aisle is a bit of a mess but the kids enjoy playing with the toys. I have gotten some great deals here but now there are too many people with scanners on their phones. I'd recommend giving it a try... The employees are nice but if an item isn't priced they refuse to sell it. If you're planning to check out this store go on a Monday morning right when they first open so you can get 25% off and find the deals. NOTE: To those of you with scanners... Only buy what you want for yourself and give other people a chance.

Unique is a staple of Essex County and is, without question, the best thrift store I've been to. Their selection constantly changes, and it's hard to visit without getting at least SOMETHING. They have a wide selection of clothes and home goods, and their stock is well-organized. They are definitely worth checking out.

This store is pretty big and has a lot of variety for clothing and accessories for those on a lower budget and are not trying to keep up with the Joneses. I was very happy with my experience but found some items to not be appropriately priced

I've been to many thrift stores in the NYC/NJ area over the years, and it's not much to look at from the outside, and doesn't come off as "cool," but without a doubt, Unique is one of the best. The store is very big, about the size of a small Marshall's, and you can get everything from bikes to furniture to suits to housewares here, and for cheap! I've gotten dress skirts and suits as well as curtains and housewares from Unique, all without breaking the bank. If you go on Mondays, everything is 25% off! If all that wasn't enough reason to go, the staff is very helpful and nice, which is always a plus.

Great buys on men's jeans, Nike and New Balance sneakers, leather coats, and ladies jumpers. You have to know what these apparel items sell for new and realize you are paying a fraction of what they cost new. A Joseph Abboud men's leather jacket that would sell new for $300 was $20... Great find!!
