Reviews of Bibles For Missions Thrift Center
Been coming to Bibles for Missions for years and it is consistently the best priced thrift store in the mpls area. Best furniture selection that is ever-changing. Smiles all day from volunteers and an organized space! Love purchasing towards this cause!
This place is always clean, stocked with great prices and finds. If your looking for fun vintage pieces, come here. FYI store can be packed on Saturdays. We make a monthly drive to donate and shop! Love supporting such a great cause. Staff is always friendly!!
This is what a thrift store should be! Quality second hand items at low prices. Feels like a true treasure hunt. It makes me happy to shop and donate here.
Been coming here ever since I learned about this place. They have a lot to offer! Good prices on items and a lot to offer. Be sure to stop on by
It's crowded the other patrons are rude everybody's in your way shopping carts too big for the aisles not many good options all the workers are very older senior citizens so they're very slow at the cashier very slow in the help and not much of a selection in the store but you can find something that they don't sell or make anymore for sure and it probably going to work very good and you'll find some good furniture pieces as far as clothes and shoes and all that and not so much very limited selection and very old style outdated kind of merchandise
Furniture, dishes, linens, toys, jigsaw puzzles, nice clothes. The staff are kind. They are volunteers, so prices remain low. Love this place!
I really like this thrift shop. The prices are great and they have a wide selection of furniture and household items. They also have a big selection of sheet music and books!
A friend recommended this store and I was very impressed. They have a very large selection of good quality items and their prices are very reasonable. The store was generally clean and well organized and I found the people there to be friendly, courteous, and eager to help. I would highly recommend this thrift store to anyone. The only drawback I could find was that their hours are more limited than I would like, so make sure you check to see that they will be open when you are planning to make a trip.
Bibles for Missions has a very good variety of items priced very reasonably. The store is very clean. Staff is wonderful.
Nice people work there . Most things are at a decent price . Love shopping there never know what you will find .
Great place to shop. Friendly staff, clean store and quality products. It is one of the best Thrift stores in the twin cities. I do question some of the art pricing though. I understand that you don’t want to undersell beautiful works of art by known artists. But I was told that every two weeks a ten percent reduction in price should be applied? Please remember that your business is a thrift store not an art gallery. You have had a Bryan Trolton oil with a hole in the canvas for two months for 150.00. The most recent auction price I could find on a similar oil painting in the same size was 115.00 that was in much better condition. Just curious as to why the price is so high when the cost to repair it is twice that amount? Thank you all!
Nice little Vintage shop that doesn't charge an arm and a leg like the place down the street.
This store is such a little treasure, I go frequently. Sometimes it's hard to make it when the hours are 10am-3pm.
Hi there,
this is the most cleanest thrift store i have ever visited..!!! The bathroom
if allowed to the public would be nice... All stuff are nicelyshelved and i love your kitchen area utensils.. i was looking for the grilled spatula and located in an instant... your alloccasion cards are very cheap but nicely stacked... Very affordable and i brought a bunchful to store for family occasion...
Compared to savers and good will thrift stores I just have to say your smaller store is more compact and easy to locate things.. Just one comment about sign of warning those who have 'bad intentions'.. To tell the customer that you will zoom in camera to identify 'shoplifter' is kind
of a 'sad' warning to me... Obviously when we enter a store we purchase our
items and let others do the same.. If you recognize those 'bad customers' from camera than just ask them to leave... The older volunteers workers are great.. very helpful when approached and the parking is ample... Keep
up the good work and have wonderful selections for us to shop and let
all customers feel 'welcome' and not being looked at as 'potential criminal'.. I advertised your store to friends and students with lower income bracket and my visit to your store always 'delightful'... Mrs.ThuyPham...
best staff and organization ever. The overhead admin cost of all donations is very small compared to so many others. Especially the national outfits who shall not be named. Know that almost all of your donation will help those in need and not pay large salaries and bonuses to executives! Thank you for the good work you do!
A little bit cluttered-feeling, but I was able to find some great books at fair prices.
I really wish they would be transparent about who exactly their mission partners are, as that's not available anywhere on their website- it just says "our mission partners".
Missed a great deal last week....why didn't I buy it when I was there? Too late now!
We went to drop off donations and it was super easy! Once we were able to match up a time that we could go based on their donation hours anyway. We pulled up, someone was already at the door waiting for more donations, we slid the boxes to their drop off pallet and we were done, they did the rest. Also LOVE that there is a list of accepted and not accepted items on their website. Ooh and when I called today to confirm they were taking donations their voicemail message gave today’s date with the closing hours of the store and for donations. So simple.
Love this little gem. Clean and well organized. The shirts are even sorted by color as well as size. Across the board pricing...every collared shirt is ONE price. Very reasonably priced. If you're looking for furniture, this is your first stop.
Hands down my favorite new thrift store discovery! I bought a very nice dresser from there last week and my mom bought an awesome chair. We love it so much we’re making a trip there tomorrow.
A great place to both donate and shop. Find everything from puzzles to housewares, tons of very reasonably priced clothing, kitchen appliances, just about anything. And both donations and purchases go to a good cause
I love Bible's for Missions. I go there 2 or 3 times a week. I just hope they don't start to rise their prices like the other thrift stores have started to. The volunteers are so nice.
They are very kind and helpful. Much more cost friendly than some of the other thrift stores on most items. If you're looking for trendy clothes this is not the place for that for most sizes.
The staff here is really awesome and their prices are way lower than most other thrift store price. I go there as often as I can because I have missed out on some really good deals. I might see something then go home research it and then go back that might be gone. So when you see a good deal buy it because either way it's a good deal.
Very nice stuff good pricing. Awesome workers.!;
I've been coming to this thrift store for many years now. The staff are friendly and they're time is donated. The store is very clean and the air inside is clean too, important for me after having throat cancer. Anyone I've ever turned on to this lovely place has said it's now they're favorite thrift store in the area.Even the merchandise is clean. Myself I only go in once a month with $20 dollars or I would go bankrupt in there.
Loved this place, got a great deal on a guitar. The staff was great. Although I do love this store, I feel that if a business, non profit or not is open to the public, it should have restrooms available TO THE PUBLIC! I believe that is an ordinance??? We, as in the public have to wear masks, by order of the governor, any and ALL local businesses have to offer a restroom to ALL customers!!!
This is my favorite Thrift store. I have found so many wonderful values in furniture, office supplies and art. It is staffed by volunteers and supports Bibles for missions. I asked a volunteer where they acquired such lovely donations and she looked at me and said, "People die."
Check the hours b/f you go as they close at 3 PM.
Great bargains on used clothes, furniture, dishes, books, toys, ect
Prices on some items seem slightly higher than in past
Still good bargains.
This place used to be one of the best thrift stores around It is now a bit too overpriced and they seem to not cycle through goods as much It's also very busy now considering no one works so that's not very Thanks Biden but the women and men that donate their time there are all very friendly
This is one of my favorite thrift stores in the Twin Cities (ARC Value Village being tied for top spot) to go to. It is run on volunteers who are always so friendly. The store is always clean and neat. The prices are very affordable, and I am always finding a new "diamond in the rough" every time I go. It's all non-profit, so it's nice to know your money is going towards charity. You can definitely tell that a lot of the donations come from church-goers, so if that is your thing (it is for me), you can find a lot of Christian books and music.
Bibles for missions is now much bigger than it used to be, more space equals higher prices, but still reasonable, unlike unique thrift.
Very well organized, good prices, would definitely check them out, if you haven't already!!!
Worth the trip!!!
One of my main go to places for certain items. Absolutely adore the volunteer staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. The layout is perfect and doesn't feel cluttered and somehow doesn't smell like some thrift stores do (per my niece who can't stand them 🤣) …
It's a thrift store and items go fast. Never know what you will find.
My son bought a heavy duty futon, a cascadia maker, a waffle maker and an ice cream maker. All for $200.00.
I love how our donated gently used and also brand new unused items are eventually going to be converted Into souls that will live for eternity with God.
Great place to find used furniture, household items, clothing
Many very nice things here.
My go-to thrift store because of proximity (right off the 14N bus route) and selection. Prices are pretty good and staff are friendly. Women's clothes, infant clothes, and household goods are where this location shines for me. Lots of furniture!
Clean store, well organized, friendly service, wheelchair accessible ramp to the main floor. There is a large clothing section and furniture. A lot of china hutches and couches and a large expanded clothing section.
Love treasure hunting here. Found all kinds of goodies (books, clothes, games, and a few other items) at very reasonable prices. Looks like they're getting new signs up and it looked very organized and less cluttered than other times I've been in.
I really like the employees that work there and I always find something I want or some kind of good deal
Great store for furniture and houseware items. I recently purchased a lovely small wood desk for my small apartment and I found a small dining room hutch which I'm picking up today. They help load and you can even pay a small amount for delivery in a limited delivery area
Love this place.
This place has well keep and interesting things and some of the most beautiful woman 👠 and the clerks 🔥 hot aged like the best wine 🍷 ever do sweet and nice .if I wasn't 60 I'd like to get to know some of them.make your day a place God would love you to visit and shop amen .il be back.again . …
Nice local thrift store. Good prices. The only drawback are the limited hours. Mon thru Saturday 10 am to 3 pm.
One of the few true Thrift Stores left in the area. Bibles for Missions isn't trying to get retail prices for their goods, like so many other "Thrift" stores in the Twin Cities. Very reasonably priced merchandise, and great, friendly service.
Beautiful store, very well laid out ,prices are awesome! Money goes to a great cause. Easy access in and out wheelchair-accessible restrooms, super clean Personnel awesome! All items are in fantastic condition a must thrift store to shop...
This is the best thrift store I've probably ever been in. Since it's located within a few minutes' drive from some pretty affluent neighborhoods, you often find clothing that has hardly been worn, is in tip-top shape, and bears some very good labels. For example, I bought a Lands End winter coat there for $9.95! I'm sure it was well over $100 when it was new. We've also picked up a new Oster bread machine -- I don't think it had ever been used because the cord was still wrapped in plastic -- for a princely $16. Who can beat it? And although we didn't have the space for it, recently we saw a 42" round oak table -- 1920s vintage or thereabouts -- that was in perfect shape, yet they were selling it for $99.95!!!! In any actual antique shop, you would pay a minimum of $500 for it. They even had oak, press-back chairs on sale for ten bucks, each of which would have gone for well over a hundred in an antique shop. Anyway, it's a great shop with great bargains and a great staff, who are always helpful. My wife and I can't praise it enough. (And it's only three blocks from where we live to boot!)
It was very busy today, long lines at checkout, found a Tommy Bahama polo shirt, but that was all. I never find much when I go in to Bible Missions.
This is a very friendly helpful thrift store. Ive seriously needed certain art supplies and they were plentiful with what I needed.
Groovy art sometimes too.
Religious owned so fair in every way!
This is by far my favorite thrift store. My wife and I have been shopping there for about a year. They recently expanded and it is always a pleasure stopping by. We mainly buy our Christian books there, which range in prices from 79¢, 99¢, $1.49 or up to $1.99 (Seldom past two dollars). You can find newer and older books, and not just religious, they also have secular books arranged by topics –which is nice!
There's also lots of furniture at great prices, including antique pieces at very reasonable bargains. Also housewares, clothing, art, CD's and DVD's and toys. We sometimes buy jigsaw puzzles there, usually priced at 79¢.
You can't go wrong with stopping at Bibles for Missions. Who knows, maybe you'll become a fan too.
LOVE IT!
This was my first visit to this "hidden gem" and I must say I was definitely impressed. Great selection of furniture and home goods. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be visiting again soon...
They always have a big variety of items to choose from. I never go away empty handed. I really support when the proceeds go too! A truly worthy cause!
This is a wonderful place to get used items. It does get a little crowded sometimes but has a large amount of items that are excellent.
I have been a customer of this store for several years. This is the only "thrift store" that I buy furniture items from. Everything I have bought from here has been excellent quality and value. Great customer service; the people have always been very friendly and helpful.
It's the best place of it's type there is. It's clean, well organized, spacious, & manned by sweet & gracious volunteers. I feel very good about both donating & shopping at Bibles for Missions Thrift Store.
Best thrift store in the Twin Cities, price-wise. Run by an all-volunteer staff ( very friendly church ladies) and all profits go to providing Bibles to Eastern Europe, so prices are very low.
Size is a fraction of Savers, not the place to look for clothes. But for kitchenware, furniture and oddball stuff, it's the first place to check.
Excellent staff & service. Highly recommend!
I want you folks to know that I am happy you are temporarily closed due to the virus.
You all are invaluable. I think of you guys as our church family. Each one doing their job so well.
I love you folks so much, take care and see you soon. God bless you guys!
Excellent furniture & prices. They seem to get whole estate donations fairly frequently. It's worth stopping by regularly. Friendly, very helpful staff.
Clean, lots of different things from tools, small appliances, furniture, kids men's and lady clothing from socks to pants to coats, books, DVDs, home office stuff, clean restroom. Something's are a good price but not everything is so understand what you are looking for before committing.
The most wonderful people in the world. Very helpful. Everything is always priced so low. And to think, all of the money is going for Bibles and missions work all over the world.
Very clean store and super friendly staff
Good value on gently used stuff. I always find quality items I didn’t know I needed!
So clean. Nice products. Good prices. Has a great atmosphere. Nice people.
Bibles for Missions is one of the best places to purchase inexpensive items and help a donation based organization. Good stock, very nice volunteer staff. Favorite place to go.
I just Absolutely love this place! This is bargain city, for folks that love antiques, bargains and very friendly staff! This place has some rare finds...the prices are Outstanding!
I love this store. There prices are actually reasonable unlike Uniques prices. Yes you have to hunt for the nice stuff but that's what thrift stores are all about.
This is one of the most affordable thrift shops around. The clothing selection is small but very affordable if they have what you need. They also have games, kitchenware, furniture and media.
One of my FAVORITE thrift stores. Everyone who works there is super nice. Reasonable pricing, and clothing is a flat price. No name brand mark ups!
Great selection for household items. Excellent prices on no kitchen hutches and bedroom dressers.
Great place to donate and shop! Non profit, too!
Very friendly & helpful staff and a store full of great finds! It's a very simple process to drop off donations, too!
Solid thrifting, nothing fancy or special, lots of older items (and older folks shopping) If you are willing to look around you can find some gems. Lovely people working here!
Hit or miss at this thrift store. Some very gently used sofa and chairs. Prices are reasonable priced.
Great prices...clean...organized...friendly volunteers work at Bibles For Missions.
Very little new to see each time. Much of what is here has been here for months. Hard to navigate narrow aisles. Slow checkout.
Great used books, cd's, Dvd's, and vinyl albums, furniture, clothing, housewares, and miscellaneous items
Inventory changes daily due to high volume of donations
Staffed by all volunteers.....no one is paid a salary
Great place.great selections. Was remodeled a few years ago and cleaner, larger and more organized than before. More and cleaner furniture.
Great bargains! I love their book section and my husband can always find some tool or garden item.
Large selection of good stuff. Store is clean and with neet Isles, and great volunteers.
Excellent thrift shop with a mission. Easy donations, huge selection, very organized
Great little store. Volunteers run it. They are very polite and helpful. Prices are quite reasonable.
Kind of overpriced sometimes, but worth a visit once in awhile , and they always have a lot of furniture if thats your thing!
Hands down one of the best thrift stores in the metro area. Items are turned over almost daily it seems and prices are creeping up but are far more reasonable than goodwill.
Always love to look around
I love shopping at this place I always tend to find useful items hear at a good price plus I found this store though a movie called kumiko the treasure hunter
We shop often, have great stuff & reasonable ..Greeters are very special people, blssingto us all
We are regulars at the Bibles for Missions. My husband calls it the fabulous store. We donate and shop there. Love the store and the volunteers there. 😊 …
This place is amazing i love shopping here so much but only thing that i wish they do is open on all days of the week but i know they cant.
They are expanding, so they will lose their small store charm, but obviously will have a bigger selection of merchandise.
Awesome stuff at awesome prices. Bought some furniture that would have cost alot more somewhere else!
This is a great thrift store and I'll be shopping there more often
A very nice, newly remodeled and expanded thrift store. Prices are quite fair.
Huge selection decent prices great volunteers working there
P prices are so right people are friendly and courteous the place is clean and organized a pleasant shopping experience
This thrift store has very nice items, very clean and good prices.
Very friendly and great prices. Found a couple of postcards and a pan with a lid for 2.99$.
Found half of what I was looking for and one thing I was only thinking about and what do you think happened- it was there for under $3 and it works 🤠 …
Low priced thrift store that does great things with the money. Staffed by volunteers . Always changing inventory.
Not as big as Savers...So sometimes you can find just what your looking for at a good price
Nice selections at very affordable prices. We love supporting their mission, too.
Okay place to shop, like any thrift shop it is a hit or miss. Prices are good.
Fantastic place, prices but especially the PEOPLE!
Wonderful thrift store that's currently expanding their space. Sales go to a good cause!
Great prices...very friendly....nice clean items.
It's a thrift shop which doesn't smell funny, and everything is reasonably priced. High turnover of goods.
The internet KILLED, THE THRIFT STORE EXPERIENCE..... everything was OVERPRICED
My favorite thrift store in the twin city's. Good prices on furniture and appliances.
Great customer service, low reasonable prices and nice selection of merchandise.

Great service with quality prices!
Greatest thrift store ever!
Glad the thrift store is open again. Store is neatly arranged.
Donations go to a good cause. Generally have a decent amount of furniture.
A kind lady greeted us at the door but she walked out. ...I don’t think she worked there.
Got a walker for a amazing price
Love this place! Best Thrift Store Prices in Town!!👍👍 …
Excited to see the outreach to get bibles out to those who need to know of the hope they have thru Jesus. Thank you!
We found this place to be high priced. Won't come back.
