Reviews of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity ReStore
My favorite Restore. Lots of different things to buy and great selection always. I dislike the parking lot due to not much space and narrow drive in, but it's not that big of a deal when you consider the steals you can find inside.
Also, make sure to sign up for the newsletter you get updates. They have a nice Facebook page as well.
Wonderful place to shop for furniture! So many nice stuff that is brand new!!! Lots of other stuff to fix up your home too!!
This place is a lot of fun to walk around. They have all kinds of used furniture, tools and also new paint and flooring. I bought a well made dresser and an old desk that I'll remake into 2 end tables for the bedroom.
There seems to be a good amount of staff here so when you purchase anything they can help you loads it into your vehicle. Even if you pick up later they will put it in the back room for you for an easy pick up later.
If you like to build your own stuff from flea market finds, you cannot beat this place. The prices are great, but don't expect to find many treasures, unless you want to do some work or repairs. We spent $76 and were happy with the take, including a vintage secretary's desk.
I love this place and stop in often to “graze” upon the current inventory. It’s tough to go in wanting a particular item but if you stop in occasionally you’re likely to find it at a great price.
They have lots of items at this store. First time ever coming here and I left the store knowing I would go back. They're main items have to do with home improvement. From lighting to laminate flooring. They do have other things here, but it's too random to explain. They're prices aren't super low, but they are decent for what you're buying. From what I saw the prices were worth what you were getting. I would definitely recommend this store.
Great store. This WAS my favorite Restore, but...they seem to have less, save charge more since bringing in the new designer stuff. I liked it better before, but it's still a really great store.
So much stuff!! Pretty well organized. I just stopped in to bum around for a minute. The prices are a little on the high side, but they're a worthy cause. You never know what you might find.
It was a wonderful experience sales staff were helpful and friendly
I found some great pieces and at a great price
I also donated for the cause
Will visited again and again 😊 …
Lots of cabinets to choose from. A good amount of random window sizes. I wish there was a better door selection. But they have a bit.of everything. Sinks, some tubs, even some restaurant equipment, and tools. They also have an assortment of used furniture.
It's also a great place to donate materials instead of just throwing them away. They'll even pickup from your home so you don't have to cart everything out there.
I definitely recommend checking it out if you're working on a budget, or just want to participate in up-cycling rather than buying new.
And I encourage you to Donate! Donate! Donate!
My favorite location, although all Milwaukee locations are similarly styled. Great used furniture as well as all types of home repair items at bargain basement prices. Supports Habitat for Humanity industry locally.
Love shopping this place for used home goods at great prices. A little bit of everything if you're on a budget. Doors, furniture, lighting, flooring, paint, books, appliances etc.
Check out this store. You'll probably find stuff you didn't know you need.
Some of the items are priced pretty high but I can usually find a deal on something. Never know what your going to find when you walk through the door. Items are moving fast right now so don't wait to buy if there's something you're interested in.
Very very large Habitat compared to one back home. Decent variety of items. Some a bit pricey but money goes towards a good cause so I get why. Definitely place to check out for kitchen cabinets and artwork. Selection is great for those.
Nice place second hand anything you want store I was really happy with what I found as far as the product I needed they had it you have to see it to believe it go there yourself
Love the place! Bought a set of Cherry Kitchen Cabinets for a very reasonable price!
Definitely the nicest Restore in the area. Huge selection and reasonable prices on home improvement stuff. I've bought a dresser and a few light fixtures from here and had no issues with any of them. Absolutely love them.
It's a huge store with a very eclectic revolving inventory. If you are looking for something unique and hard to find this place may have it. They keep adding new stuff to the floor constantly and offer just about everything. For the rehabber or the person trying to find that piece to fit their house this store may have it. Everything from lighting to plumbing to old doors and fixtures
Excellent place to find great deals! Staff is friendly and the selection of merchandise is always good.
The Heart of it is the Joy and Love that are shown by Volunteers and Team members.
Art, building materials, a dreamers paradise, and a wheeling n' dealing of a price.
I like to visit here just to remember there are so many people doing so many good things to help.
Now by encouraging you to go;
I have no fear that the flow
of great items looking for right homes. Will surely never slow.
So please know:
Give the gift of giving and "Restore your Habitat" this new year with Joyful Singing and recycled remodeling. That way the New Year will surely Ring!
I stop into Restore/Tosa every so often and usually find some good treasures. However today the guy checking us out, Alex, inflated the prices on a few items and overcharged me. I didn’t notice until we got home. This isn’t the first time the same guy did this, I should’ve been watching more closely. Although it’s only a few bucks and it’s a donation, I’d rather decide to make a donation on my own.
I love this store, and I love it's mission. I've taken a lot of stuff here from my basement, I do my best to sort out only the things that are actually useful for somebody; but I take stuff here that's a little to "industrial" for Goodwill. Also, I have made it a habit to do a scouting run here whenever I have to do a project around my house. *Sometimes* they have just what I need, and sometimes they don't, but it's always worth a look.
It's good to support such a worthwhile non profit. You can get so many architectural and household items at a good price while keeping them from being put in a landfill. If you need anything for your house or rental property go here first.
You can find so much brand new and like new "stuff" here! I love it! Did you
Hey it was pretty interesting. Kind of like a remodelers Goodwill? Lots of furniture like couches and dressers and remodeling items like kitchen cabinets.
If you ever need anything for a home project, this is the place to go. Selection ranges from high quality antique pieces to modern styles in good condition. Furniture selection can be good as well. I always come here before anywhere else.
I'm not from the area, but stopped in. Better stocked than the one in my town. Complete kitchen cabinet sets from homes available with pictures of what they looked like installed as a set. Restaurant furniture. Some retail furniture. Great variety, especially of older plumbing fixtures if you need to replace a faucet.
Wish they could be a little kinder to the furniture when they are moving it around.
Place needs cleaning. Otherwise lots to see.
Have had some good finds at this location.. last visit I picked up these vintage framed Ansel Adams posters.. 20 bucks/each :)
Biggest ReStore in the state. Humongous selection of furniture, tools, hardware, building supplies, appliances, decor, and more. They will pick up donations from your house. Volunteer staff is super friendly and will help you with whatever you need (like carrying all the great stuff you buy). Prices are super low - they are basically just trying to get rid of stuff before the next truck of donations arrives!
If you see something you like, you can buy it and pick it up later (for 1 week, after that they call to see if you still want it and if not they will put it back up for sale possibly without a refund). If you are going to be shopping for a while but see something you really want, they will reserve it for you for up to 2 hours.
Stuff moves really fast through the store, and if you go back a week later, almost everything will be gone and replaced with more great stuff. Things that aren't sold quickly will be discounted by 20%, then 50%, check the color of the price sticker. They regularly have 20% off everything sales (on Wednesdays I think). They have a frequent shopper program that offers even more discounts after a certain number of purchases.
If you need a new couch or a dining room set I highly recommend going here. If you don't see something you like, just come back next week and see what's in the latest batch.
Since it's so big and they move stuff so fast, it's pretty messy and sometimes a little hard to find things, so be sure to ask someone in a blue vest for help if you need it. There's only a single cash register, so occasionally the checkout line gets a little long, especially on weekends.
They are always looking for more volunteers, and I can say from experience that it's a really fun place to work. They have 4 or 8 hour shifts available and are completely flexible to any schedule. Jobs include loading/unloading, placing items on the floor, tidying up, running the register, pricing and labeling items, etc. Proceeds fund Habitat for Humanity, so even though the pay is lousy, the work is fun and satisfying!
A huge resource of recycled materials for building. Great if you are building to save money or have an old school feel. They have recycled paint, cabinets, lighting fixtures, sinks, and appliances. Hardware is at a price that can't be beat. There is also sometimes recycled hardwood. If you're a builder, it is worth a visit.
There was no real discount for the laminate flooring. $28.00 a box for Home Decor brand but overall it's a good place to shop for contractors and D.I.Y projects
Great store to purchase home building materials. They items are removed from buildings that are being remodeled that are in good condition or old store displays. A friend who needed a sliding door and got a very nice one for a fraction of the cost of a new one it is a very nice Pella sliding door.
This place is AMAZING! My husband and I re-tiled our shower area for a fraction of the price because of all the brand new tile and accent pieces we were able to find at Restore. The store is huge and well organized, granted you may need to dig around to find some good deals, but that is part of the fun and allure for us. I have recommended the Restore to friends and family, and would highly recommend it to anybody doing any kind of home renovation or remodelling!
I am very familiar with second hand stores especially house home needs, it just wasn't 50% discount items, but i found a few treasures.
I had a Fun shopping experience. They have designer handbags. I purchased vintage or recent I believe MCM Fanny Pack and a New Coach cross bag. Hundreds dollars bag and another item under $50. Discount Color tag items. Shopping there again.
Habitat Restore should be the first place you look for misc. home supplies. This location is well stocked and friendly. Random good deals too!
This needs to be your first stop for every home project, and if you are redoing something please donate. This is such a great organization and they have such great stuff for amazing prices. It's all you will ever need. Send your contractor, your self, and your family here first.
Lots
Of furniture, not much else.
I was looking this place up yesterday and today my Brother was just so happened to have a delivery for them so he was able to talk to a sale rep while he waited to be unloaded can't wait to go in with him to shop
Some good treasures to be found, but you have to search for it. And beware of the occasional overpriced item that they overvalued.
Best place to find anything for renovations on a budget. Inventory does change regularly. If you find a deal, jump on it. Come back and check regularly if you don't find it the first time. Price points are fair and sometimes you can make a deal. Good luck!
Very nice place. Lots of variety and harvested stuff from the Milwaukee area.
Visited the Restore place on Burleigh, which has some good sales going on right now and a couple shelves of brand new heavy-duty pots and pans at real good prices. They usually have a number of creative choices for sale that are examples of using recycled materials to make new, exciting products that are fun and creative.
I bought a: table, bookcase, dresser, and chair from this location. It came to under $150 in all. Two of those pieces were spotless, and the other two has minor scratches. Good selection, very affordable.
If you're into recycling this is the place to go for good quality at great prices. The store in Wauwatosa is huge compared to other locations. Can't count on getting what you need, but the hunt can be half as much fun as the acquisition. And the money goes to a great cause.
This is a great location to get a small kitchen table. We got a farmhouse table with four chairs in great condition for $40! It's so sturdy and has lasted us 3 years so far.
A great place to find a deal on furniture, items for upcycling. or building materials and contribute to the Habitat for humanity cause at the same time. Win-win! If you are remodeling a kitchen, they even have a trained crew to come remove your old cabinets (in good shape) for reuse.
If you're a DIY kind of person, this is the place for you! We've bought wood, linoleum flooring, chairs, even an old sewing machine and a natural gas grill, fixed it up, repainted for a fraction of the cost in the retail stores. Every time we go there are new items and a friendly staff to help if you need it.
Able to find a couple things I need at generally inexpensive prices.. couple items they had that were overpriced for donated used goods.. but overall satisfied..
This store is well organized and clean. They have so many options that you may be looking for, from lighting, cabinet's, furniture, tiles and so much more.
I definitely recommend this place.
Hi I bought a nice chair from here the price was right organized and always sales.
Good selection, but the pricing has gotten stupid lately... the people in charge of pricing need to stop using EBAY as a guide.
dropped off items. person working there told me where to unload and walked away. I understand social distancing but be aware you will get no assistance if you want to donate items here.
I just love this place it's not overpriced friendly service and endless opportunities and everything is for a good cause
Already a good cause before they started opening the ReStores HFH have found a way to use the whole buffalo (so to speak) in the house restoration department by reselling EVERYthing the can salvage from a donated house right down to the fixtures. Which provides them with an amazing variety of practically useful home and hardware you tend not to find in your typical thrift/resale setting with everything priced to sell.
Well stocked place! You can't beat the price on the plumbing products. Usually 25 cents on a dollar, or less, comparing Home Depot PVC fitting prices.
You will find things you didn’t know you needed and much more. A constant turnover of eclectic items, furniture, Ceiling Fans and so much more.
Lots of items for remodelers. I found excellent vintage lighting fixtures and furniture. The prices are unbeatable, and the staff very helpful and polite.
What a gem of a place! I found it by mistake lol. This is a great place to find used items for home projects. I saw so many things I wanted, but I just didn't have the space to haul it home!
Always a great place to find things you want and need, things change daily.
Always love wandering through this place. Inventory changes regularly, but you can find some treasures here, while doing some good for the local community.
Being able to design and utilize the items that are there for an extreme bargain it's helpful such beauty and even for some of the things that I wish I could get it's just great to be able to look and bass in them
This location is pretty well organized, I always allow for a minimum of one hour to browse through all the goodies!!
I have bought tons of stuff here for my home. You can find so many useful things here. Highly recommend, love supporting habitat for humanity.
good variety but some items were very over priced even with very wore conditions
Love this place-always a new and unique find that can be re-purposed. ring a large vehicle it is a pain to go back to pick something up because you cant fit it in your car.
Found what I need plus. Wish the store was a bit more organized but I can overlook clutter due to huge selection.
Lots of odds and ends salvage. I always find something here that I could have paid retail for. I'm not sure about their urban lumber. Their prices seem high.
Good place to rummage through before buying expensive items from commercial stores to any replacement or home repairs.
It is a bit chaotic and you might need patience to find what you are looking for.
For a good cause to browse plus
perfect for landlords. An occasional treasure hidden in dusty discards.
A unique store. About 1/2 full of used furniture. They have almost anything that can be salvaged from a house. Some of the items are unused.
Good resale stuff for the home. Some new items. Bought a barely used microwave for the office. Looks and works great.
Have really good items in there for reasonable prices.
Good place to start looking for material for your next project, home furniture, and tools. When you buy here you help fund local Habitat for Humanity projects.
GREAT place for unique finds and profits go to a good cause. There's almost always some sort of discount on items that have been there for more than a week or two.
Love this place. I have found some amazing deals here, but you do need to search around and dig through.
Great for house flipping or projects around the house.
More importantly
Profits from Habitat ReStores help fund Habitat for Humanity
Nice furniture for remodeling your home and reasonable prices, the employees are very helpful and nice.
Great place to get use like new house items for kitchen, table, doors, stoves, etc.
Looking for a TV stand. I found that the furniture was all quite expensive. Overpriced in my opinion. I left empty handed.
Very good place to find some hidden gems for home improvement or repair. I nearly always find something I either need or want for future projects.
This is by far the best one. Staff selection bet you can't walk out this one and not buy something. From Cake pan, books and furniture.
Such a wonderful charity and a great place to find just about any kind of furniture you could want for a great price! Great place to volunteer too!
Has been good to buy things at dirt cheap prices, if and when. And good to know donations go to a good cause.
Honestly disappointed it was kinda pricey
At least money spent here helps their great work
Restores to me are like shoe stores for normal women. Love them
Great deals if you're willing to dig. Love the concept behind this store.
They have great useful products and a lot of meat antique stuff definitely will go there again
Very impressed with the selection!!! Wonderful experience. The volunteers seem like they enjoy their job! Which is always wonderful to see.
Cheap used household goods. Wide variety and level of quality.
Great selection, great prices, helpful staff and sensible policies. Always love coming here.
Used furniture, building materials, and some appliances. All the things are donate or removed from razed homes. Also has a small selection of hardwood lumber and slabs from trees cut down in the city.
One big story you have there my sister took me into the store my first time and I couldn't believe it I'm going to have to take my husband there very nice
Closed on Sundays - the worst part. Otherwise this establishment is full of amazing finds for amazing prices. Proceeds go to building homes in our community too.
Love the deals, but even better are the friendly staff. Everyone says hi and offers to help when you're looking lost.
Great place for budget friendly rehab &/or weekend projects or just updating your toolbox or decor.
It's a good place to find older replacement items for your home repairs at 1/2 the cost paint to doors it's worth the stop
Your employees are very polite, knowledgeable & helpful. I will be back.
Got three light fixtures here. Nice selection, much broader than the Walker's point location
Large for a habitat store. Prices can be all over the place. Most of the staff is pleasant and helpful.
Have to go again. I was just killing time.
Always a useful place.
You can always find a great tool that fits your need at the right time at great prices
Lots of home improvement stuff for a fraction of the cost. The volunteers are friendly and helpful.
Lots of good stuff here and reasonably priced
In the past this specific restore had a reputation for being poorly organized and overpriced. In recent months it seems as though there is new management and some positive changes have been taking place.
Very affordable pricing on all of your housing needs. The staff are also very knowledgeable which helps a lot.
Has everything you need...mostly to do home projects. Leftover used goods. From furniture to wood boards, from tools to appliances. Go check it out.
A great selection of high quality salvaged items. There is always something interesting on the floor.

Can't say enough good things about the incredibly kind and helpful staff. Thank you for all the work you do!
It's resale so always hit n miss but you can't beat the bargains for building materials, tools, furniture etc.
Sometime you find what you looking for, sometimes you don't. But the times is coming when you go there, you will find what you looking for.
Always an interesting array of items. It's the old location, location, location thing. They get resources into a new working location.
A variety of treasures can be found here. The volunteers are extremely friendly and hard working.
You never know what you're going to find, but it will be discounted and probably interesting. You might not find what you're looking for, but you'll find SOMETHING
