It was awesome and so fun. I took my daughter there for some retail therapy. The people that work there are so friendly and helpful. Answered any questions we had. The dressing rooms were open which great to see again and be able to use. We will definitely be back again. I highly recommend shopping there. The also accept people bringing in items for resale!!

I’m so happy I finally decided to check this place out- it’s totally an underrated gem in my opinion. Absolutely adored my selling and browsing experience today. The manager and buyers behind the counter were so incredibly sweet and I had such a wonderful time talking with them throughout the process of selling my items. Found a cute pair of black boots, the music selection was pretty bomb and the cashier was pretty stylish. Sorry, I was really tired! This was my first time visiting here to sell clothing. I cleaned out my closet. My arms were full and forgot to take pictures😬 You walk in and sit in a row of chairs & wait to your called. The lady checked my ID to add me to their system. They thoroughly inspect your clothing and are looking for specific types of clothing and shoes. Unfortunately none of my jeans or shoes were accepted. No skinny jeans, no skinny heels. 🤪 from looking around it appears they want my old t-shirts, tennis shoes 👟, work out sweat suits and mini skirts. The customer service was great and the wait was less than 30 minutes.

Montrose is known as resale central. This place is a must visit when in the area. Usually when I’m cleaning out my closet, I like to visit to see if I can make a little extra spending money or have lots of trade in value for my next pair of victim sneakers in the store. Always great selection excellent customer service. I will continue to come back to the one and only Montrose Buffalo exchange

I went to sell some of my clothes, and they didn't take anything, even when most things were in excelent conditions.. that was kind of a downer.. I do understand that they have a style and all 🤷🏼‍♀️ Besides that, I didn't really like the store, it had a strange smell, and didn't look very clean.. I was able to find some clothes that I really liked, it wasn't as cheap as I had expected 😔 I found a pair of shoes that looked new, but were extremely dirty.. that put the rest of the store in perspective, tbh If I need clothing and I'm in the area, I might go back, because I could find useful items

I'm not sure what the people leaving negative reviews are talking about. Im assuming things have changed since they were posted. The staff were all super friendly and I even heard the manager tell one of her employees to give preference to L and XL clothing. The store was busy, so that means their stock likely rotates fairly quickly. That may be why people can't find what they were looking for. The employees purchased a good amount of our items and gave us a fair price, considering they are going to resell everything. A lot of our clothes are going to be useful next season, so that is probably why they bought so many. Don't try to sell mini skirts in December and you will probably be fine. This is a great place to buy and sell alternative items if you are in the gothic subculture at least. With the current staff you will be in good hands. <3

Fantastic place for browsing. They have everything from vintage items to the latest fashions. Decent prices for unique items. Some of the things had stains though, which is pretty disappointing. I'd expect to have to inspect things thoroughly at the thrift but you'd wish that at a dedicated clothing store the employees would do that.

This was my first time at a Buffalo Exchange. As a fat person, I've always wanted to shop at thrift stores but there usually aren't many options. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection. It is still small but there were a variety of sizes up to 22, that I saw. One thin that i was disappointed was that their labels haven't caught in up with the selection so everything that is what they consider to be an XL is all grouped together and labeled XL. this meant digging through all of it, which is a bit expected at a thrift shop but could be improved with updated labels. overall it was a good experience, got a dress and short set and the manager at check out was friendly and great!

Absolute best resale clothing store. I always find great vintage pieces here and the newest trends. They’re also super picky about the stuff they buy so it’s never badly damaged. And instead of bags they donate that money to charities. Absolutely love it

ima be honest. People are too soft and sensitive nowadays and complain about everything. Its. is a tastefully curated thrift/vintage store. If $15 is too much for a t-shirt go to Goodwill. I've been coming here for years and I never left empty handed. I always came in here with a general idea of what I wanted and they always had something, also great service

Nice employees, store is nice and organized. I went in to try to sell my clothes, they didn't accept the majority of the clothes because it's not what they're looking for. They want trendy clothes from the 90s and early 2000's. The quirkier the better. They'll take you in if you're a walk in but definitely try to set up an appointment so you can be helped right away.

I had such a great time selling yesterday!! The energy is so positive if you also bring a positive attitude! I brought two garbage bags worth of clothing and sold 4 items and got $17.50 cash that I didn't have in my pocket before, and they'll donate the rest for you or give it back to you. Chey was super welcoming when the doors opened and when I checked out to get my cash from selling. Maria was my buyer and was a joy to hang out with, made quick decisions and really knew what kind of things they were looking for, was super respectful - even re-folding all of the items they didn't buy and put them back in the bag. The manager, Tanya is SUPER positive and brings a great energy of teamwork & happiness, enjoying the music and working steadily. So in closing, I disagree with the negative seller reviews... It's all about perspective. These are clothes you don't want anymore. The buyers know what their customer base is currently buying and what they have in stock. It's nothing personal if they don't want to buy something. But whatever you do sell is more than a generous buyout! It would've been twice as much with store credit, but I don't really dress based on what's on trend, lol, so I just get cash. It's a fun atmosphere and the employees are able to express themselves through their clothing, etc. Sellers Tip: choose a day when you can schedule the first appointment of the day right when they open (usually 11 am) and get there 20 minutes in advance, stand outside the door so you're the first in line. Then you're taken care of really quickly. ;)

Went in to revamp my wardrobe from my early 20s college girl style to Audrey Hepburn/Blake Lively rich classy style, now that I’m 30. Found some beautiful, quality pieces. Saw some overpriced pieces with noticeable staining. One less star because a few (just a few, not all) employees had bad attitudes. It isn’t that hard to be pleasant, even if you have to fake it.

I visited for the first time today after a closet clean-out and had a great selling experience! I didn't catch the name of the girl who signed me in and sorted through my clothes - she was there at 11:40am today, black hair, had a few tattoos and gorgeous eye makeup. She waved me over to the check-in desk and was very transparent about the pricing for each item. She was super friendly and conversational. A lot of negative reviews for places like these are just people who are angry that they didn't buy their clothes, but I mean, there's a Goodwill right around the corner, where you get exactly $0 back. I got $27 for items I was going to trash anyway, so I'm quite pleased.

Many different styles and sizes to look through which is very nice. It was extremely crowded which is fine for me but if you're enforcing masks at the door it makes you seem a little hypocritical while the entire store is jam packed with people. It's also a little pricey for a resale/thrift store but to me overall worth it for the variety in clothing. I only saw staff at the door informing me to put on a mask, at a register telling me those registers were closed & at the check out our interaction consisted of telling me they don't provide bags but here's a chip you can put in the box of the charity of your choice (which I thought was a nice touch). It was fairly organized considering the people going through the items & decently clean. They have parking in the back for which I was grateful. No pictures since I have a personal "no people in my pictures" rule and that was simply not possible.

The store is definitely way better looking and organized than some of the competition. Very open and not cluttered which I will give them credit for. Trying to sell is frustrating and a complete waste of time though. Here's a direct quote from their website when you book a selling appointment, "We buy men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories, from current trends and everyday styles to vintage and one-of-a-kinds finds." This implies that they would take a variety of items but they don't at all. They only take things that are currently sold in big box or brand name stores. Any items you have that aren't exactly new, forget it. Its frustrating when all your items are in great shape, laundered, and folded nicely and almost none of it is taken and then there are people with their clothes in trash bags getting more stuff taken in. Please clarify what you actually take on your website.

I like their selection of clothing and they have great prices, but if you are looking to sell I would call ask ask thoroughly about their buying process. Giving it 4 stars because of their process of buying. I hadn’t accepted the quote yet or got my cash/checked out and they put my clothing items they were going to take in a bin with clothes they were going to sanitize and tag. I told the buyer that I was unsure and still looking around yet she put my items in the bin. I ended up taking a few items back because they offer less in cash vs. trades. I would say if you are looking to sell and want more money I would go to Plato’s Closet

I love that the employees get to express their styles through their outfits, hair color, and tattoos. Not overwhelming with asking you questions and there’s a ton of great very lightly worn items at great prices! Only downside is the parking situation and the construction traffic!

I loved it, came here with my daughter and she was happy to finally go. She was able to get a shirt and jeans to feed her new style and was able to come up with the best outfit. I was also able to find a nice long sleeve. The employees were so kind, the possible only downside was that we had to wait outside in the heat for a while but it was all worth it.

I know I'm gonna sound like a cheapskate but they are a bit pricey for a resale shop. The selection is great and they have a wide variety of styles. I did notice as I was browsing the shorts rack a few had crotch stains that had turned yellow and the price was a bit to much at $16.00. Enough about the bitching the staff is fun and helpful, this time around I was satisfied with my purchase not so much with the price but what are you gonna do?

I have always loved Buffalo Exchange. It has been years and it was my first time at this location and I was not disappointed. The customer service is great, the store was well organized, and there was an abundance of amazing quality merchandise.

Consignment shopping is my jam. I've heard so many people rave about Buffalo Exchange. I was beyond thrilled to finally check it out while in Houston. Sadly, I was incredibly disappointed with brand selection for the price. Overall, this store is nothing more than overpriced secondhand Target, Forever 21, Zara, cheap made in China, and Amazon brands. There were a few NWT vintage items, which I was impressed by, but seriously overpriced. I will say the shoe selection and variety were great, but I don't imagine revisiting this location again. Hopefully, they can source better brands at more reasonably prices.

I love shopping here, but I always see cheap brands like Shein for the same price. On multiple occasions when I have brought things to sell, they don’t choose anything. I’ve brought a Lululemon jacket in great condition, Kate Spade purse, Michael Kors, Tommy Jeans, good brand business clothes, etc. My items are overlooked like if I don’t have a sense of fashion at all, telling me that’s out of style when I know its not and I personally look for some of these things.

I have been going to buffalo exchange for years. Way before they opened this location- and I have visited all locations through Texas. This is still my FAVORITE. The staff knows me by a first name bases here. They are fabulous! I have never had issues with them buying from me- expect long lines if you come on weekends, it does help to call ahead and ask what they are buying currently. If you love vintage shopping and you want something one of a kind, this is a must stop!! You won’t leave disappointed!!

I loved this place! The vintage clothing is great! It is so well curated that it was very difficult to decide what to take and what to leave behind...and I had no intention of buying anything to begin with. I went in to accompany my niece as she had been meaning to go for quite some time and we finally made it there. I fell in love with the selection of diverse vintage pieces. Anyone can find something interesting and unique as well as appealing no matter what your personal style is. I'm definitely going back for more. We were also reminded as we were making our purchases that we can bring our own gently worn articles of clothing and accessories to sell here. This is a gem if you're looking for unique and unusual clothing pieces.

Have shopped at numerous Buffalo Exchanges, I especially love the one in Austin (they're so AMAZING). The layout is nice, the employees seemed really sweet, and they have some of everything. Some of the prices are overrated I think. May come again to browse, but will not be selling any more clothes here. I will stick to CL, Amazon, eBay, and a garage sale for that especially after driving 2 hours to only get $7.25. That part really sucked.

They have a wide variety of clothing styles, most in good condition at reasonable prices. They also buy styles they think they can sell, but don't expect to get rich selling your old goods. That said, bring a few old items to offset the cost of the ones you buy.

I wanted to visit this location for so long, and I finally decided to go last week. I was disappointed in the clothing; I didn't find anything that I was interested in. A lot of the pieces looked like they belong to middle schoolers. Whoever is hand-selecting these items shouldn't be. I will add when leaving the parking lot, be careful because there's a drop when exiting or entering through the right of the store.

The items here are fun and so unique, and some things are even brand new! But a few of the employees here have attitude and totally ignore you even as they cash you out. Very uncomfortable and off putting. The girl in the back watching the fitting rooms was very sweet and helpful

Great place to shop for affordable clothes. It is a hit and miss on if you will get something that you will really like but it is fun looking so I keep going back! I've gotten clothes from American Apparel at Buffalo Exchange before for a MUCH cheaper price than I would have at American Apparel. The employees are super friendly and helpful. You can also sell clothes there! It's a really fun atmosphere and a great place to shop on a budget! Happy shopping!

I agree that this store definitely needs better parking. There are only a few spaces to park in front of the store with paved concrete. More than likely you will have to park in the back of the store which is uneven loose gravel with many huge potholes. oh and not to mention parking in the back of the store for more than20 minutes will get you towed. Overall great customer service, the placed looked nice and clean, and the atmosphere was awesome. will come again

Most definitely one of the better thrift stores in Montrose. Can't be too mad when they reject your precious clothes, they have to maintain a certain standard. This may be hard to believe because they have some interesting clothing options to say the least, but you can always find a great brand name item for a decent price. You have to be in a good mood for digging through clothes but you're sure to find something if not just entertainment!

I love shopping here. I appreciate the sort of odd taste in clothes. It's always an adventure and I always find things I want. My experience selling clothes here was not as pleasant. They hardly took any of my clothes which is fine. I can just donate them. My problem was the attitude surrounding the discussion of what clothes they would take. One gets the feeling that the smiles are very fake and that they are going to gossip as soon as you walk away about what crappie clothes you have.

I found some Jeffrey Campbell shoes which usually range from $100 and up, well I got an awesome pair for only $30!!!! ( Their original price is $120 ) The clothing can be quite over priced; but if you dig through very good you are bound to find something awesome and worth it! :)

The only problem I have with it is that the parking isn't great on the weekends, and they don't take as many clothes that I want to sell which would make it easier if they did :)

Very busy, popular thrift store. Located in Montrose. Selection here is great. Plenty of clothes, purses, jackets, lots of shoes, scarves, etc. They had more men clothes than most thrift stores which is really cool. The clothes here are more geared towards a younger audience. The prices are a bit more expensive than most thrift stores. Wish they had more plus size clothes. The staff is helpful. They have dressing rooms but no bathroom.

I went into Buffalo looking for a completely new look and outfit for a date with my boyfriend. I was helped by Sarah and she was nothing but helpful and the most delightful woman. She took one look at me and it was like she could read my exact style as if we'd been lifelong friends. I left with not just a new look but a few extras as well as I could not resist the temptation to shop for a bit extra. I never wanted to leave! I will definitely be back to see what else this place has to offer!

The staff is friendly but it’s always sooo busy here. They’re stingy on what they take. They say it’s because of the styles that’s trending rn but in my opinion you need you hire people who actually KNOW about style. I’ve brought brand new vans in here and they told me they were out of style, I’ve brought sandals in here that were practically brand new but they’ve been walked in so of course the bottom is going to be faded but they won’t take them.. I go and look at the shelf and see dusty old vans that were creased really bad and had tons of dirt on them priced for $43. It really depends on who’s buying your clothes. I’ve been here multiple times and brought the same stuff and stuff that didn’t sell last week sold this week (because a different person was looking at them) I’ve brought collaboration clothes (stussy x champion, puma x odd future) that are deadstock, aren’t being sold anymore but they turned them down. I’ve brought BRAND NEW hollister jeans and they didn’t take them smh.

The staff is so nice, and the prices are great. They have a great supply of stuff, especially items for Halloween. It’s really hard to find a cheap Halloween costume now, so this place is definitely helpful. Also the manager is really personable and efficient.

I've never been the super stylish one of my friends, so I come here to "sell" or donate the clothes I've weeded out of my closet. I'm sure that the fashion-savvy have much more success than I do - the most I have walked out with is about 35 bucks. I've never shopped here - I am too impatient to look through clothes (that's a personal thing though). I have been coming for a couple of years to sell/donate, so you could probably say that I am a loyal customer.

Customer Service is NOT dead! I was greeted by the manager, Miller, as soon as I walked in. She was very polite and professional. Fabian is flat out fabulous! He helped me pick out two different outfits and has great conversation. Annalia helped me with an exchange and she doesn’t know it yet, but we are pretty much best friends. a good place to stock up on trendy clothes, decently priced - I always make a visit here before going to a music festival. They have a decent men's selection, like most second-hand stores sizes are left-skewed to Large, but occasionally I'll find some great shirts in XS/Small sizes. I will usually hit up Goodwill down the street before coming here.

Always ALWAYS find amazing one of a kind clothes and accessories here. At least try to come in once a month for a restock. The staff is extremely FRIENDLY... the manger is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend buffalo exchange to anyone.

Every time I enter buffalo exchange I tend to find things in the racks identical to ones I'd been pawing through at big retailers like Urban Outfitters or Pacsun, the only difference is here, they are cheaper. Buffalo isn't as cheap as say a regular thrift store would be but it is still much less expensive than any store at a mall. Plus there are accessible fitting rooms and the place is pretty clean. The employees are great too, so nothing to complain about here.

I come here to browse every once in awhile. It tends to be a hit or miss, but I usually will find something I like. This store is smaller than the Westheimer store, but I think the selection here is better. Less people probably come here because of the more obscure location, so the clothing isn't as picked over. There are usually plenty of designer duds that are just a season or two old here. The girls that work here are really sweet too. I'm kind of hesitant about writing this review because I don't want everyone flocking here and snagging the stuff I want to buy! But the better business is for this location, the longer it'll stick around for all of us to enjoy, right?

Went on a Sunday around noon, there was a very short line to sell! The gentleman buying was very polite and friendly and worked very quick. As far as the clothes, they are very hip and high quality. Expect to find some very nice products and brands here!

I come here sometimes when I'm thrifting along Westheimer, but his location is kind of crowded and filled with just okay items. A lot of the racks are overflowing and hard to maneuver through. The staff can be very nice or very rude; it just depends. It's not that bad, and a decent thrift destination honestly, but if you're really looking for good style deals I recommend the one on Bissonet and Kirby.

If you're going to buy and not sell, buffalo exchange is awesome. It's a bit like Ross and Marshall's in that you will have to DIG for a great find, but sometimes it's what makes it fun and oh-so worth it when you find that perfect vintage dress or pair of shorts! I say it's a better place to buy only because no second hand store is a good place to sell (they usually only give you a fraction of the real worth and then they try to take even more money off if you opt for cash instead of store credit). My favorite thing about BE: the SHOES!

They have moved from Westminster to to Shepherd. It was a decent trip for me. I am a discount shopper so the deals wasn't as enticing. A great place to find designer shoes for cheap though.

I had previously left a bad review here about the prices but It seems they’ve gotten better. Went in last Saturday and came out with 2 pairs of jeans, a jacket, and a t shirt for less than 70$! Just remember to bring your own bags.

First time there. I was overwhelmed by all the clothing. They are not cheap for used item but their item is unique. There were alot of people buying and selling Their clothes. I would definitely recommend if you have not shop there. They do have NEW items as well.

I've been to better Buffalo Exchanges. This one is nice, orderly, and neat but I feel the selection is very...common. At other Buffalo Exchanges I'm able to find really cool vintage (in my size), repro, and unique items, here not so much (atleast not on the xs-s, 0-2 rack). They have a lot of brands like Urban outfitters and J. Crew priced like instore sales prices. For some that won't be an issue (for me not always either) but I think the selection could be better.
