I can see where some people would enjoy this store. In my opinion, they are seriously overpriced big time!! I like to shop and don't hesitate to pick up a good deal but this store didn't ring my bell. When I walk around for 90 minutes and purchase 1 item (under $5), something is wrong. My husband has been wanting to come here for years and we finally made it. It looks like a Mall Store filled with mostly used overpriced items. I was talking to a sales lady and she told me it takes a long, long, long time for anything to go down in price. Another sales lady told me 70% of the items are unclaimed freight and the other 30% are new stocked items. It just wasn't what we expected. I thought we would walk out with several shopping bags of items. If you making a special trip from a long distance be prepared for a lot of sticker shock. To avoid disappointment, I'd only visit if I was in the area. Anything used that is offered here, you can find elsewhere used at a cheaper price. Signed....... a long time picker.

It’s like going to a large thrift store with lots of clothes with original tags on them. The separation of the size’s seriously lacks. When I went to my size I found children sizes all the way to swallow me sizes. They need to really work on that. I did however get a great pair of Beats Studio Buds for $69.99.

Awesome shopping experience. It was an unexpected stop but so glad we did it! The store branding is so cute and the cafe is lovely. Our cheerful sales person Holly helped us out from start to finish. Staff overall were very friendly, helpful, and working hard to keep everything neat and tidy. Well worth the trip.

We heard about this store a while back and finally went there, and we were SO GLAD we did! First we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful employee, Rachel Barnes, who explained to us where all the different types of merchandise were located and made us feel very welcome. Then, after finding out it was our first visit to the store she gave us a coupon for two free drinks in the café! That was a very unexpected and welcome treat since it was afternoon and we were just saying we could use some caffeine!😜 She was over and above awesome!👍⭐️☕️ And the store was pretty amazing too, there was so much stuff to look at, we will definitely be back to explore some more when we have more time. We were curious about how it got started, so we googled it on the way home and really enjoyed reading about the history, quite a story!

What a great place! We trekked down from Nashville while in town and were pleasantly surprised. We even won the "baggage demo" raffle and won 25% off. We walked away with lots of stuff and the staff is super friendly. Definitely recommend.

If anyone lost any cash with a rubber band around it inside your luggage, I found the rubber band. Joke aside, I really enjoyed this store! I love how they went out of there way to label ALL their pants with actual waist/length size instead of the generic small, medium, large labeling. Helps a lot! All the staff were friendly, and I enjoyed the selection of the store.

Very interesting place with tons of unclaimed items. Prices are not too bad and a lot to look at. We didn’t buy anything even though we made an extra trip to come here, but it was more for the experience for my wife and I. Around the location, there are other small antique shops and food places. Additional items are added weekly.

I had heard about this store for a long time and was very curious. I happened to be in the area visiting friends and we went there. It had some nice items. I was able to buy some women’s and men’s clothes. If you are a serious shopper, you should allow a couple of hours to browse everything. The men’s clothing is in a different area from the main building so you need to check out before moving between buildings. Some good bargains.

We stopped by the store after seeing the road signs. We were so happy with how clean and organized everything was. The prices were amazing too! We were helped by the sweetest lady named Holly in the jewelry department. She showed us many items, let us take our time and my husband and I are thrilled with the beautiful bracelets we bought each other for our 40th wedding anniversary gifts. This warehouse in Scottsboro Alabama is where all of the unclaimed baggage from the airlines end up after unsuccessfully attempting to find the original owners. And it could be anything. This is not an ordinary store, any object lost and unclaimed regardless of what it is could end up in this Warehouse. The inventory is too extensive to try to list, just use your imagination.

We felt it was a hyped-up Goodwill. Which is fine, but Goodwill has better prices. It's a fun idea, and if you're passing through the area, it's worth a look. I wouldn't make a special trip.

Always love going here. Great bargains and neat items can be found. Very friendly employees. If I wasn't so far away I'd visit more often, but I enjoy spending time there and browsing. I believe it took me a couple hours to do the whole store and outter building. Worth going too!

It's a fun store, but be warned that it's effectively a goodwill or thrift store that just has a better gimmick. The highlights weren't the merchandise, but the displays of things found in luggage but not for sale. For example there was armor, a 15-ft surfboard, crazy instruments, a taxidermy goose, and a giant Tinkerbell. The funniest thing that was for sale was about a dozen wedding dresses.

I will literally get lost in this store all day they have so much stuff so many different sizes colors miscellaneous. you can find just about anything I will say it's kind of high for a second hand . I got a real Michael Kors wallet for $60 and it was practically brand new without the tags. I enjoyed this store you better have a lot of time cuz you will get lost and want to stay many good finds!

I came here with my fiancé as we were driving home from the holidays. We set ourselves a 30 minute timer at risk of spending the whole day here. I had to stop myself from buying more than 1-bag worth of jackets, clothes, and goodies. About an hour after driving away, I started to regret not buying a wedding dress I had tried on. It’s been a month and I’m still thinking about that dress. I just called and Brooke helped me find the dress, still in store. She and the team at unclaimed baggage went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ship me the dress. I’ll update this post with pictures from the wedding. But here is the gem I found for under $30 when I tried it on in-store!

This was fun...it is quirky and wack-a-doodle, which is what we hoped for. Some good stuff, some duds, and some just "huh" things. We didn't expect Rodeo Drive for 3 quarters and a dime...and we were happy!!

Wow this place has it all... it's truly an experience... it's like the best thrift store you've ever been to and includes a little museum of stuff that has come across them. Also they have a little bistro and there are 2 parts... the clearance center is pretty much the same as far as prices go but has more random stuff like used water bottles and such... either way this place was super cool and I would absolutely recommend and make a detour just to check this place out again...

I have shopped at thrift stores many times, and the selection of products here is far and away better than any thrift store I can recall. I always find clothing that I like here, but unclaimed baggage has far more than clothing. They also sale some new items. Prices are reasonable, and the store has two buildings. This is an excellent place to find gifts or affordable clothing.

I look forward to shopping UBC every week.Most of the time I find great bargains, other times not as much, but I ALWAYS have a good time looking. The employees are always helpful, friendly and add some positivity to my day. When at Unclaimed, I treat myself to a chicken salad sandwich and iced tea at Cups Cafe...it is the best! ...and Cups has great service. My favorite department in the store is jewelry. They have some beautiful merchandise! The girls(and guy) in jewelry are so sweet and patient as I dutifully try on just about every piece they have! Last week Holly, a knowledgeable jewelry staffer and good salesperson (!!!) showed me way too many pretty things! My next visit, my credit card stays home! 😌

A very neat experience. We found some pretty great finds. Its kinda of like a big secondhand store. They offered free lemonade at the front! Super cute! It also has a little coffe/drink/pastry shop inside. They have shows and play games up front that was fun to watch as well. Also have a cute little photo wall with props. You can have a lot of fun here.

I have heard about this store for quite some time now, a friend and I drove an hour to go and explore. It was not expected to be as huge as it was with a detached store. Some prices was alil to expensive for used items as you can get them a few dollars more brand new but I was not disappointed as I found some great deals, you have to really give yourself some time to look as the sizes in the clothing is not separated to well. Under 200$ I come out with high end name brand clothes for myself and 5 children.. 5 to 6 outfits each! The store was very clean aside of needed more organized. The staff was so nice and helpful. My first cashier lady (Rachael Barnes) was so nice and explained so much as it being my first time! I will be back again!

I first came here a decade and and you could walk out feeling like you scored a bargain. Now the prices are on the high end of what you can find on internet resale sites. Good for if you want to try something on but not really a place for deals anymore. I don’t feel like it’s worth the drive if you’re coming from Huntsville.

Been in Gulf shores since 2018.. this was my first time visiting in several years.. I must say I am super impressed with all the changes they have made. Great place to look around for a jacket, bag or shirt whether if it’s for men or women. Their discounted electronic appliance for chargers etc. is pretty good when needing not to spend a lot. They have great selected watches for those that can that bargain for it.

Got to go here if your in the area. It's an experience! This is where they sell items that are from unclaimed airline luggage and shipments. It's like a giant yard sale with clothes, electronics, jewelry, cameras, shoes, and anything else a person might put in their luggage. Name brand, slightly used, and some new, name brand items at sometimes very reasonable prices. Shop around for bargains!

Awesome idea! They've been in business for 51 years and counting. I liked that they try to bring the excitement to their customers by having "unzipping" ceremonies throughout the day, where new suitcases and their contents were unveiled. There's truly something for everyone - books, nooks, clothes, throws, jewels, and tools. The men's and women's sections house 2 different warehouses. There's also a food court, several resting areas, restrooms, and a last chance room with extra exceptional deals! For example, I bought a$250 Vince Camuto bag for 10 bucks and moissanite diamond earrings for $3.59. These guys are definitely prepared. There's even RV parking. My rating is about 4.5 stars, only because some items are actually wholesale that you could find at Ross or TJMaxx. Overall, a fun adventure!

In addition to incredible clothes at super low prices, I went in looking for Japanese books, and even though I didn't see any on the shelves, Haylea who was working there that day let me teach her enough Japanese to recognize it and went to get all the Japanese books from the back that hadn't been put out yet. It was neither good or bad. It was more a been there done it place for me. Like a BIG second hand store except well organized and clean. Prices were...ok for the most part. The unclaimed items were decent to sift through. They also have areas filled with lots of "bargain" items most of which is China import junk. There were a lot of people there so the shopping and curiosity draws them (us) in.

We have been to the store a few times over the past 3 years. The initial shopping experience was great, and we found a lot of great deals. We visited this past weekend, and the shopping experience was just ok. The deals were few and far between and maybe that is due to the upcoming holiday season. The prices seemed inflated from our past shopping experience. My review is about the pricing alone and I set @ 3 stars for the value of items especially if you are traveling from a far distance to expect to find great deals. It was a miss this time compared to the past but again maybe it is due to the season. There is a lot to choose from in the store and a great variety so no issues there. I will comment on the staff, which as always in my experience are great, friendly and very helpful. I will acknowledge -Bebith Dixon- as one staff member, which helped me while in the stop and she was a pleasure to meet and work with. I agree with another reviewer in stating that if you are local, it is great to shop there but if you are traveling some distance, the deals were ok but not great as I have found in the past but there may be other factors that I am not aware of that may have influenced pricing. It is still a great place to visit and there is a great variety of items, and you can find something of interest for sure. We will visit again but probably after the holiday season.

This is a GREAT place to visit on your own, or if you're local, it's a fantastic spot to bring visiting guests! You can find all sorts of items depending on the season you visit. I'm not sure why some people are complaining about the prices. I think most items (while some are expensive, like computers and other electronics) are fairly priced. Unclaimed Baggage is also located right down the street from downtown Scottsboro, a historic town that's fun to wander through.

We spent maybe a hour and a half here. I wasn’t that impressed by the prices of things. It’s a cool concept though. All this stuff that went unclaimed. It’s almost hard to believe. They do their research and price items accordingly. You can save some money on high end products and brands. But my wife and I aren’t huge spenders for things. We love thrifting but this definitely isn’t a thrift store experience. If you’re into high end fashion, electronics, and jewelry then this is a great place. My wife and I each got a pair of beats by Dre studio 3’s for $99 each. Trying to find them used you’ll pay around $120-$220. So we were happy with that because we’ve been wanting a pair of over the ear beats for years now just never wanted to spend $300 on a pair. You can also find some good deals on shoes that are in great condition. Unfortunately their size 12 selection was very small so I didn’t find anything I wanted. We actually checked out the electronics and jewelry last. Up until then we weren’t really impressed. The jewelry you can get some great deals on expensive pieces and same for electronics. Overall I’m glad we went but it’s definitely not a place I’ll be looking to go to again anytime soon. Fun concept and still is crazy to believe so many people don’t claim their bags knowing what they had to lose.

Unclaimed baggage is an interesting store to say the least. It’s always a pleasant surprise to find a good deal on something you wanted wether it’s sunglasses or shoes. I wouldn’t recommend buying some of their items based on prices not being much lower than what they are new but if you go in with the right expectations you can have a good time shopping here.

It’s like a cleaner Goodwill that doesn’t have a musty smell. I had much higher hopes than what I saw. I traveled to Scottsboro not specifically for this store but it was one of the big highlights in coming here. I came, I saw and I left empty handed. To be honest a lot of the merchandise was overpriced. I did enjoy the free apple cider though.

Some days are very busy (weekends), some are quiet. Generally friendly sales help, but they're not experts in everything. Expect hit-or-miss content, and it varies week to week. There are some excellent deals on odd items, and some good clothing deals on surplus items (unused/unworn); just do not expect everything to be to your liking or discerning specification, because it's essentially random.

I purchased 10 books relating to addiction recovery and/or Christian reading material, all for less than $15. I bought my husband a church shirt for $3 that is really nice. This is my favorite store anywhere I've ever been. You never know what you might find there. In the past, I've bought a pair of Nike shoes for my son, for $25 ($95 online) that were brand new. I've bought a silver bracelet and necklace set for $15 that was worth approximately $75. Zenanna dresses and leggings for about $4 to $7 each that would have easily cost me $15 to $40 somewhere else. They have everything you can think of... and many things you've never thought of or seen elsewhere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING AT LEAST ONCE!!

This place is so huge that it's overwhelming. Make sure you have at least three hours. The campus has a few different buildings to look through. I really want to give a shout out to Annette Vasquez who patiently waited for me to get a response from a family member about if I should buy something. Fun place to go on a day trip. If you are patient and can wade through everything, you can come across some awesome deals. I got 2 shirts (one was True Religion) for about $6, got my kids each a shirt ($5 each) and also snagged a really dope suitcase like backgammon board (also like $6). I usually go very early in the morning and don't encounter this problem, this time I went later in the afternoon and it was a little too crowded for my tastes. People were all around us, one lady I swear was trying to run us over with a cart. Made me and gf a little anxious but we had fun.

Love this place. Used to work there in college at the Cups Cafe with all women. I had fun and sometimes helped people put their bags in their cars. I helped a gentleman one time who had dropped his wallet. This was before cell phones and he was from far away. I could imagine being alone with no money in Scottsboro! What a nightmare! Lol... But he called and told the owners to thank me for finding his wallet and giving it back. I believe in karma and it can come up and bite you on the rear end when you least expect it! But I LOVE UNCLAIMED BAGGAGE. Only problem i could find is they're very religious and destroy anything that's potentially satanic or evil. But that's their prerogative. They're probably millionaires and can do as they please. But still a great place to get decent deals on stuff with tags or barely worn.

One-of-a-kind store where you never know what you might find. Have been going there for a few years now every once in awhile. Never had a bad experience. Found so many great things there that I use daily! This year their customer service was beyond any that I've experienced. I had looked around at many jewlers for an engagement ring over the course of this past year. I ended up finding the perfect ring at UBC! Or so I thought... I took it to a couple jewlers and they said it looks to be a lab diamond. I contacted UBC and they paid for it to be looked at by one of the most well-known jewlers in the country. He spent a week analyzing it, and took it down to Birmingham to see it under high-end microscopes. Ended up being a real, earth diamond! UBC also paid for the ring to be cleaned and rhodium coated! The jewler at UBC went out of her way to get me the ring driving down to pick it up and even offered to meet me where I worked as the drive is long. UBC went above and beyond!

High class operation - Anything that does t sell gets donated to charity. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You just never know what you are going to find here. Very clean store and well organized. Biggest, cleanest, most well organized thrift store, with the nicest employees, I have ever seen! We could have spent hours here (if you wanted to check every clothing/shoe rack in your size), but didn't have time. Some reviewers complain about the quality of the items, but remember this is all stuff other people packed for trips so they get what they get and it changes on a daily basis. We were told that 1/3 gets tossed, 1/3 gets donated to other places and the last 1/3 is sold here. They have EVERYTHING you can imagine. We ended up buying an apple watch, laptop and bose headphones from the electronics section. If you are in the area and like to bargain hunt, this is a must do. Also highly recommend staying at the Comfort inn in town.

The Summary For locals: it's worth stopping by to see what you can find every now and again. For out-of-towners: Neat place worth visiting if it is part of a bigger trip. Not worth making a looong trip just for this one place. The Details My family and I went here out of pure curiosity as part of a weekend getaway, and it was enjoyable. It would not by itself have been worth driving to from where I live, but as a stopping place it was fun. Unclaimed Baggage is very clean, super organized, and has a ton to look through. I would say that the best deals by far can be found in the clothing sections, but they aren't all great deals. By that I mean we aren't talking Goodwill prices for everything. High end brands, of which there are plenty, still have a hefty price tag, but less than if an item were new. I'm told the books are a good deal as well, but I didn't really look through them on my visit. The fact that they buy from all different airlines means they have quite a variety of domestic and international stuff, which makes it fun to look through. At around 2:30 they did an in-store new arrival opening. Customers could get on a list to open newly acquired luggage. We had to leave before then, but saw plenty of customers with interest in participating. If you are a parent, know that the majority of children's clothing is in a separate building. I thought it was odd that the whole children's section was about 50 square feet, then an employee told us the cross the parkinglot to another building. There was much, much more over there.

We heard stories of the amazing deals that this place had to offer so we decided to pass by on our way back from the Space Center in Huntsville. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful and the store is massive. As far as the deals go, they didn't live up to the legends. That said, it was a certainly cool and unique experience to see the amount of freight and personal items that get left behind of confiscated. In short, visit for the novelty but don't expect unbelievable bargains.

The store is more and less then we expected. More, in the huge quantity and variety of items that were lost on airplanes. Wedding dresses, fine jewelry, laptop computers, bikes, tents, clothing galore, etc. Makes me really worry about the odds of my luggage being "lost" accidentally. One of a kind store. There's always something amazing every time I visit the place. I really like the concept and it is eco-friendly too! I got 4 branded jackets, a leather belt, a sweater, all for less than $200! It also has these cool rare items show pieced as a museum artifact, like snake skin, swords, etc. Very cool for a day's visit even if you don't end up buying stuff. I like stuff bought from here, because it's fun imaging a story of how they ended up with me! Must visit if you're near!

We traveled about 4 hours to the store, arriving around noon on Saturday. The store is well-organized into departments. Within each Department, it's organized again into a logical system either by size or category. Really easy to navigate. If you are looking for Men's items, be aware that it's in a completely different building. You'll have to purchase everything else you want and then go to that building. Kind of annoying, but necessary for space I guess. If I were to do it again, I would just start with the men's stuff, pay for it there and then finish in the big store. There's not many food options in the small town, so take advantage of the cafe on site. Super friendly staff and good prices for the food. All in all a great visit. Don't expect super low pricing, but expect an interesting visit. Cheaper than Walmart, probably in line with Goodwill, better than both because of selection and staff.

I was in search of a replacement (used) e-reader and came across Unclaimed Baggage. Though they didn't have an e-reader I liked, I did find a Galaxy Tab A for only $45. What a deal! It is in amazing condition for being used. There were a few scuffs on the back but not a big deal with a case on. I shared the great site with my mother who then purchased an Amazon Fire tablet for $35. It was an unlocked, not ad supported version which sells new for over $100. I don't know if I'd purchase clothing from the site but it is fantastic for electronics.

I love this place! Every time I am in Scottsboro I stop in and head straight to the jewelry counter. My last visit was today and Cathy P. Was our sales lady. I purchased a pair of Pearl earrings with a vintage touch. My sister bought a pair of black Pearl earrings. Very unusual setting and oh so gorgeous. This rating is for the online store, as I have never visited the brick and mortar store. Great online selection. The online site is user friendly and very intuitive. Easy and efficient searching for sizes, brands, specific items. Just received my first order in a timely manner. Everything smelled fresh, was nicely packaged, and in 'as expected' shape. I have already placed my second online order! I noticed that several of the in person reviews mentioned 'not bargain prices'. I did look up prices for both orders, and only found 1 shirt cheaper on Amazon (only 1 left in stock in selected size), with several other online retailers selling it at a higher price. So, at least for the online store, pricing is very reasonable. Shipping is free on orders over $75. All in all, highly recommend!

A "used, lost luggage" jacket still with store tags for $139.00. Not a deal. The merchandise is just stuff from department stores. No more unclaimed baggage. I used to visit when I was young and let me just say that they have really expanded! They even have CUPS espresso shop with really great coffee and even nicer employees. Anna G and her co-workers were all so kind. I also really appreciated all the help from the electronics staff. The guys over there are very knowledgeable, friendly and happy to help with everything from questions to the trying of tablet cases to ensure a proper fit for my tablet. This is the ONLY place to go for electronics! The selection of clothes and shoes is also out of this world!

Heard about this from Atlas Obscura, and I had to stop. Such a huge variety of stuff. High went nuts looking at all of the clothes, electronics and especially the jewelry. All the high-end jewelry, Reed big-name watches and diamonds, with appraisals that are generally priced at 50%. Seriously 50% off an appraisal of real diamond jewelry, Bose headphones, Switch and PS5 games etc. You have to check this out!! Haylea helped us out at Jewelry and was VERY helpful/patient as we kept asking her to pull things out of the counter. I think we shocked her when we finally picked something to buy! With baubles in hand we left very happy we stopped by.

He would brag about $1 tees. But we went in briefly yesterday and I didn't see that, but $8 tees. But the stores were clean & organized. I had been wanting to check this place out for quite a while and my mom and I finally snuck out and went. I'm really glad we did. There was really quite a bit to look at and was bigger than I expected. The prices weren't as great as I was expecting but did still actually manage to get a couple great bargains. We had fun and I will definitely be returning. If there is one thing I think they could improve on would be more locations throughout the store for hand sanitizer. There were quite a bit of people in there so we didn't stay long. I do want to mention that their staff were extremely friendly and personable. Would definitely recommend!

Unclaimed Baggage is a big deal in Scottsboro, AL. We did not visit all of the associated off-sites located around town. The main store was interesting and loaded with bargains. I enjoyed the experience! You can definitely make a day of it if you were born to shop!!!

Visited spring 2021 This place is worth visiting once if you're in the area. It may seem like a destination that you can plan a day trip around, but it's really just a huge pawn shop. They have have TONS of clothing, mostly things you don't want. There's likely deals to be had if you're willing to spend the time looking for it. They also have lots of electronics, sporting goods, and other pawn shop type items that may be good deal. Would probably not go again.

Kinda a tourist trap to be honest. I had a coworker who used to live in this town and told me all about it and their great prices and such and encouraged me to go, but that was 10 years ago. When I went a lot of things were selling for near full retail and occasionally even over (They had a last gen Xbox One S selling for 100% retail of the new Xbox Series S). You might get lucky and find something of value cheap, but only if you happen to know exactly what you are looking at and how much it normally costs. I got a switch pro controller for 65% off but that is about the only good deal I could remotely find. Overall The prices weren't that great. I had a much better time and got better deals at the Goodwill down the street.

I found so many good shirts, dresses, pants and shoes, as well as a ring and a necklace for less than I would have paid anywhere else. I'm so glad Unclaimed Baggage is helping people in need. Lots of stuff, fairly organized (though some of the kids clothes seemed a bit more willy nilly when it came to sizes), pretty good prices. All sorts of clothes and shoes and laptops and earphones and cases and even some video game systems. It's amazing what people leave at the airport. There's also a little cafe in the building.

What a unique experience. If you like used things and digging through other people's clothes, this is heaven. There is an odd absence of actual baggage, like they toss the luggage and sell the stuff. My only complaint was the jewelry. Obviously it used to belong to someone and has been worn, but a lot of it was dirty/tarnished. With all the people working there and the money 🤑 they are clearly making, an ultrasonic cleaner and a toothbrush would go a long way to sell more jewelry.

Man! I was SUPER excited to visit this place after hearing about through a YouTube video! It was okay. But honestly, it seemed more like a flea market. Some items were priced extremely high for the usage of the item. Example, a pair of Jimmy Choos were priced $170, but the bottom of them had DEFINITELY seen their fair share of usage.

The description of the headphones said they showed sign of wear and with the heavy discount I was not sure how bad they would be because the pictures made it a little hard to tell. Wanted to do a more thorough review, because the place warrants it. Personally, it is worth the drive every so often, because it is kind of like a high-end thrift shop. The reason it is 4-star and not 5-star is that I feel like the pricing is a little high for some things. They have a large selection of electronics, and they are aren't in bad shape, but the pricing is about the same as anywhere else. The good news is that if you have to buy second hand or want to you can get some nice stuff at a fair price. There is a lot of clothing in the store and it is all of very good quality. Some of the stuff looked new, and probably was. I got the feeling that not everything there was "Unclaimed Baggage," but a mix of overruns and end of season items from retailers. That's a good thing. I found a belt that was new for about half the price or maybe less than in stores. Finally, the star to me is the "junk" electronics area near the books, sporting goods, electronics case and actual bags. If you are looking for a travel adapter, they have it... cheap. They also had some interesting audio gear, and even fiber jumpers. If you are a tech guy, this place is a gold mine.

At one point in time this place was great but it has become something of a victim of its own success and it no longer houses all great deals. The problem is that they have different people setting pricing... some set lower prices than others. There are some very good bargains but do not expect this across the board ....it is more like a treasure hunt where there are some great deals among a lot of not so great or mediocre bargain's. Also many people come with "buyers fever" from other states and countries and the store seems to be able to charge higher prices due to this.. There are still good bargains but be aware you will need to look- not everything is a bargain. I do think it is worth a trip but only if you are aware of and willing to search for the bargains: if you expect everything to be a fantastic price you will be disappointed. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The " returns" policy is terrible- all you will get is a store credit -not of much use if you leave the area or do not frequent the store.

It’s not really a thrift store, but more of an outlet of discounted goods and clothes. Don’t come here expecting it to be super cheap and then you won’t be disappointed. They do stock some interesting items. The book section itself is worth the stop if you are an avid reader because books on the best seller list are priced at $2-3. They have clean restrooms, a place to grab coffee, snacks, or a sandwich, and there’s even a sitting area on the porch if you want to hangout for a bit while you eat. It really is the perfect stopping place if you’ve been on the road for a while. I guarantee you’ll find something you like. They would totally earn 5 stars if the prices weren’t so high!

My advice is simple: something catch your eye? Buy it on sight; it won't be there when you come back. This business buys lost luggage by the truck-load and sells it retail. There is no fixed inventory which means every visit is to a new store. It also explains my shopping rule earlier. SWMBO understands this rule quite well. Some prices are strange: being threadbare is no discount, but new with a button missing might be half off. Good tech deals, too. They had three pistols I could buy for at least $100 cheaper online. If you know what it is you’re looking for, you can sort through their products and find some great deals - but not everything.

Easton Smart is a very helpful associate. They've always got awesome stuff, I love it. It may not be that great to some others but that's their opinion. Definitely not mine. You will find things here that you won't find other places, and to me that's a good thing. They have free Wi-Fi so you can research your purchases before buying, even though there is literally 0% cell phone service in their building.

World renowned place to shop! You can certainly find some great bargains here for the whole family. The cafe has delicious food and exceptional coffees & teas. Be sure to check out the other building for “last chance” bargains, children’s clothing & toiletries. Don’t be in a rush— you might miss the book or technology sections near the mezzanine.

How have I not reviewed this place yet? I've been going to the Unclaimed Baggage Center since at least college. I've found all sorts of things: cameras and luggage during art school, outdoor backpacks and gear when I started backpacking, headphones, an iPad Pro, Patagonia shorts and jackets, etc. etc. I've even found a brand-new espresso machine and coffee grinder! There's an art to shopping the UBC. They receive new unclaimed baggage about 90 days or so after airports recover them from lounges, seats, and airplanes, so if you're wanting to see what kind of haul you can find post-Christmas, you'll need to come in March, for instance. Come early, and comb through everything! Given the nature of the store, there's no telling what you'll find, and there's only one of it unless UBC bought an unclaimed freight container, then you'll see a WHOLE lot of similar items. I saw a whole fixture of Hershel bags on a recent trip, as well as anything United By Blue has ever made. If you're curious about something, put it in your cart and try it on - the dressing room staff are more than happy to let you try about anything on, and will replace items that don't work out for you. The electronics staff will let you play with items to make sure they work, and will hold it for you until EOD. A few things to consider: you may find a killer tripod, digital camera, or pair of headphones, only to realize they're missing a component - charging cables are often nowhere around - so don't be afraid to pull your phone out and research items before buying. Along the same lines, sometimes equipment - a tripod and fluid head, say - will separated, so dig around and see if you can find all the components before purchasing. Play with cameras and laptops THOROUGHLY before purchasing. They have a tight, but still generous, return and exchange policy, but they have different rules for different categories, plus it requires another trip to Scottsboro. A few gripes that altogether have knocked off a whole star. This has been a gradual change, but the UBC has gotten wiser about pricing, especially electronics. Sometimes they can still have good deals - my iPad Pro was priced $150 lower than Apple for the exact same product - but sometimes I'll see things, especially Apple laptops, priced higher, sometimes MUCH higher, than even retail stores. I get wanting to price competitively and get as much money as you can, but don't rely solely on eBay. After all, if it isn't a good deal, people aren't going to buy it, and that means more stuff sitting on shelves. Don't be afraid to price research if you're unsure about whether it's a good deal or not. Don't be afraid to pass on an item, and don't be rude or confrontational; the floor workers have ZERO power to haggle or adjust prices. When in doubt, roll the dice and see if a manager will - you never know! The other gripe I have is the UBC online store. Don't get me wrong, there is still a TON of stuff to find in the brick and mortar store, but I've wondered if diamond-in-the-rough finds like my Patagonia jacket are a thing of the past, because they scooped up a similar find for the online store. I recently found a Taylor Stitch shirt jacket for $30 (!) on their online store, but my recent trip didn't find many name brands in-store outside of the unclaimed United by Blue freight. I understand the online store, but I hope it doesn't diminish the in-store experience that brings so many people to Scottsboro.

Nice little coffee shop. Georgia our barista was great and she alao helped us at the electronic counter. Great customer service! I will be back...

This was an interesting store, as long as you know what you're looking for. Some of the clothes are really expensive, but the books are very cheap. They have a lot of reasonably priced name brand shoes. Overall, it's a great place to go and look at all the stuff, but I don't know that it would be worth a special trip.

They put new merchandise out throughout the day. Just because you didn't find something one day doesn't mean you won't find something else the next day! My daughter and I went there for a few hours. They had a lot of name brand clothing items. She bought 3 coats including a Kenneth Cole that was only $25. They had a large selection of books and jewelry as well as quite a few tablets and mac books. We will definitely be going back.
