This store is amusing. I had never been to one before today. I saw dollar tree items that were priced at $1.99. I wouldn't have thought a thing about it except I have the exact same things. They say it's a consignment shop but it feels more like a very, very expensive Goodwill (because they're already expensive). Idk, I did find a couple a decent items that weren't too high priced but I'd have bight plenty more had items been reasonably priced. My cashier was very nice and pleasant. By receipt says he name is Za.

Very good selection of consignment items but tends to be more the "garage sale" level as opposed to higher end furniture or decorative pieces. But we've always found some unique high value pieces as we look closely through what they have. So it's always an interesting experience to visit and browse through.

We take quite a bit of stuff here. They sell what they can and donate the rest. They take items by season, which makes sense. There are days where teeth only take the black bags and not totes. It would be nice to have that updated on the website. However, if you call they will also tell you that information.

Prices are much better than “antique” stores. This store is laid out well and organized. Lots of unique furniture pieces. They typically only have on check out going, so sometimes paying for items can take a bit. Update; 10/15/22. Only one register open, other employees actually walked up front but nobody opened another register

The service is always wonderful and they always sell high quality items. A lady butted in line ahead of me, she didn't ask me if I was first in line, she just kept looking back at me like I wasn't there, and she felt entitled to be ahead of me. This place is amazing, always have a variety, and seems like they rotate out their merchandise every other week. Never disappointed, always walk out with an armful. Totally recommend!

I just bought four ladies' shirts and four leggings. Because of the dates on them, I paid a total of $9.20, which was 80% off the original prices!! Such a deal!! And I'm going back there with my friend tomorrow!! A couple of weeks ago I bought a purse there and I've had many compliments on it. It was 80% off also!!

This is not your average 2nd hand store. Spacious aisles, clean atmosphere, and a wide variety of items should make this a regular stop on anyone's search for bargains. Merchandise comes and goes so grab it quick. Lots of furniture, clothing, and household items plus lots more.

Love the stuff store and frequent it as well as use there consignment side. The issues I have is I think it should be %60 for the person and %40 the store instead of the other way around and often times they over price things and deny things that don't make sense. Won't take a pair of shoes in perfect condition with a small toe dent but have shoes on the shelf missing leather and cracked for $15. Always clean and well organized though!

I'm reading the few negative comments and I'm confident that these aren't actual buyers. Stuff CAN be more expensive than other thrifts, but in my extensive full-time-reseller experience, the store I enter in Des Moines on Douglas, I think, is extremely clean, the people professional and the goods of superior quality for marginally more than a typical Goodwill. Incredible high-end furniture can be purchased at superbly low prices. Unlike Goodwill, I'm not aware of the philanthropic aim of Stuff, Inc. The charity they support best is that of each individual consumer who wants higher quality goods at a more than fair price.

Great consignment type shop, you can get a bit of lost in some of deals they have. Just sometimes you might find something alittle special to you or another. Yeah well is it not the trill of shopping through older pre used items. That by chance you might find that special something one can no longer posess? Well have fun on the hunt either way.

The grandchildren and I found some interesting things at reasonable prices. Left the store with 5 happy children and a not so empty pocket grandma. Lol

One of my favorite places to shop. I've been shopping at Stuff since they started business in their tiny store. I've shopped at every location across the state and have gotten great deals. Not a fan of how they switch dates on their tags. I appreciate the cleanliness and quality of what they accept to consign.

Clean and have lots of stuff available. I always find something when I go in. I think they could choose to be a little more picky about some of the clothes (a few have been a bit stained or torn I’ve seen) but they do a better job of it then Goodwill does.

Make sure to watch the prices when you go in there. The last 2 times I have been in their I have had to have my receipt fixed because they ring things up wrong. I understand mistakes happen but this is starting to see more consistent. When I called about getting a refund they asked that I bring it back in in the next couple of days which isn't always possible. I feel like if you charge the wrong price you should make it right whenever I can bring it back.

A friend told me about this place, so I had to check it out. I was AMAZED. It is a HUGE store (the Clive one anyway), packed FULL of clothes, shoes, mattresses, room decor, lamps, you name it! I definitely bought quite a few items the first time I visited. It's very clean, very organized, and good prices. Also, if an item has been in store for over 2 months its 50% off, and 3 months is 85% off!! I found a huge mirror I LOVED and got it for $11 after the 85%. Amazing. I'm definitely coming back and bringing my family and telling my friends about this place! ♡♡

Helpful staff, clean restrooms. Covid precautions in place. Lots of merchandise. Everything but a kitchen sink. Most items in good condition. No returns allowed but you can try on clothing and plug in electronics to test. Some prices almost as high as retail but sales based on length of time in store. Check out clearance first.

I found so many items here that I wasn't expecting! 1. I'm a thrifter. I love not knowing what I can find, and finding it for a good deal is even better. These prices are comparable to thrift stores. 2. Everything was so easy to look through! Nicely presented and organized. 3. The items (for the most part) were in far better condition. I didn't have to look through a bunch of nasty junk to find some vintage treasures. My favorite find was a nice camera/zoom lens worth $300-$400 for $100. I'll be back!

Great place to consign items and shop. I especially love the 50% and 80% off items. Look at the big sign in the front of the store and look at the dates on the tag to see if items are 50% or 80% off. Everything you need for the whole family, home, toys, outdoor and sports equipment, furniture, art, etc! The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very easy to consign, but it does take a very long time for them to actually sort and accept items, then you only have 48 hours to pick up from the time they email you that your rejected items are ready, last time I was out of town and couldn't pick up. Store is clean, I get some really good deals, however, their pricing definitely varies and some items are overpriced by a mile, but when they go clearance you can definitely get some steals!

A wonderful place to consign your stuff! Wow - I can't believe how it all adds up! I've already picked up some hefty checks for stuff that I didn't need any more. Super friendly, helpful staff - they seem to really like working there. I've also found some great items - the clothing selection is great and is changing all the time. Very clean, thoroughly vetted merchandise. And there's such a huge variety of items - it's like a department store with thrift store prices. Highly recommended!

HUGE! Well-organized and pretty much have everything you can think of. The kids shoes and furniture was kind of lacking, but tons of clothes and shoes in great condition. They also have lightly used designer shoes and handbags. Some of the items I bought for my daughter were $.20. Buy pre-owned and keep the stuff out of landfills!

What a weird place! Stuff, etc. is a really strange, and large, "consignment" store. In other words, you're buying used stuff. On my visit, they had a huge quantity of clothing, and quite a bit of furniture and home decor. There was a small selection of things like sporting goods, a few tools and craft supplies, and a ton of old VHS and DVD movies. The problem that I encountered was that given the very large size of the store, the merchandise was wildly disorganized. Clothes are generally with other clothes, and furniture is roughly grouped together, but everything else is seemingly piled at random. The aisle labeled "tools" contained only sporting goods. "Electronics" featured a clarinet. In one aisle, I found a small item that I liked. Several aisles away, I found an identical item with a different price. When we left, I had purchased three items. I was charged a price different from that on the tag on all three items. There may be some gems buried in the "stuff", but you'll really have to dig to find it, and I'm not sure that it's worth the effort. Keep in mind that this is not really a vintage or antique store. Much of their merchandise is still on regular retailer shelves. Some of the prices at Stuff are lower than retail. Some are not. As much as the advertising would like to promote this place as a cool vintage shop, it's really much closer to a neighborhood rummage sale. If you've got some time, wander through. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Best place for jeans! Recently went down multiple sizes and this place has really helped me save money and always have nice designer jeans. I've seen pairs of jeans that I've paid $100 at scheels for for $10 sometimes at Stuff. Make sure you check the dates they have a really good structure for cycling out older stuff by marking old tags off up to 80%

Nicely organized, clean with a large variety of Stuff! Its pretty large, looks more like a department store than a thrift store. Plenty of changing rooms, I've never had to wait to use one. Employees are OK, could use some improvements Greet customers, smile etc. Have seen shirts with deodorant stains - not sure why that'd be up for sale or who would buy a shirt with outside deodorant stains?? Prices are Ok, some brand name clothing is overpriced IMO - seen a $40 pair of used brand name jeans...I don't see many people paying that much for used when they can get a different brand, new, same great quality for that price. Not sure if they have 50% + off days like a lot of thrift stores do.

Newly opened.This new consignment store is in an old grocery store. Huge variety of items. Many people have signed up to consign things. Their pricing is disconcerting however, regarding the merchandise brought in by consignor. If the item doesn't sell and consignor wants the merchandise back, they formulate a price to sell it back to the person. I've never heard of a place that requires a person to buy back their own items.

I was employed at Stuff when the Clive store was a literal empty shell. I have to say, I was honestly blind sided, & ended up finding myself 3 years later, feeling completely fooled, confused, disappointed, hurt, & angry when I begin being personal witness to exactly what & who this company really is, & what they are doing, to their consignment customers, & their dedicated, hard working employees. I recently had to leave this job & this company, for the simple fact of having something this company, I've come to realize, definitely does not have! What I'm speaking of is what's called, "a conscience"! I could no longer be part of the dishonesty, dis loyalty, & just complete "wrong doings", I found myself in the middle of. All I'm able to say to the consigners & potential consigner's at this point in time is, "Consigner's Beware"!

Could spend an hour walking the store browsing. Location has good organization and a lot of items to choose from. I cannot speak to the consigner process other than that over the summer I had 7 totes of children's clothes that I was looking to bring in and they had a sign posted that said they had a 1 tote max at the time which was discouraging. After reading up on their process you don't get paid until your items sell and you have a time limit for claiming your money before it is kept by the store. I'll continue to shop here but I'll likely never be a consigner.

"This place has merchandise that is WAYYYY OVERPRICED. Especially the furniture. ..2 wing chairs, at $ 199.99 EACH ???!!! Uhhh. No. I have purchased beautful furniture, at other consignment Shoppes, and even off of "Craigslist" for less than that !!! If you are allowing the consignee to set prices, .... That merchandise will be there for a while! And, I saw a little tin garden bucket, it was pink. Priced at THREE DOLLARS AND 99 ¢. SERIOUSLY???!!
