This is an awesome thrift store. Prices are unbelievable and the selection is always being refreshing. Never the same experience every visit you always find something new or interesting. They keep this store neat and the associates are super courteous.

I FOUND LEGO! This is a thrift store that has surprises galore, as well as well-stocked and orderly racks and shelves! The new facility fits a LOT of clothes for the store to sell, and the new dressing rooms are top-notch. The staff in the store is very nice and diligent. The 50-percent-off-all-items sale on the last Tuesday of the month is a fantastic opportunity for some epic deals! All in all, a great secondhand store in a great neighborhood! Recommend!

12/2022 edit: Ever since this VOA moved to the new space next door, their inventory hasn't been nearly as good. This used to be my go-to thrift store (especially for vintage clothing), but now I'll find one or two things to buy if I'm lucky. Not to mention, their prices have increased as well. Their housewares and decor sections don't have nearly as much inventory either. Ever since the Salvation Army I always went to closed, this has become my new favorite thrift store. If you take the time to look you can find lots of great clothing at a much cheaper price than most Goodwills and Ohio Thrifts. I love this place!

I haven’t scored much stuff here but it’s always busy so high traffic probably. But I enjoy shopping because it’s always friendly, the store is very clean ! I feel welcome here! Goodwill is super unfriendly so this store makes me feel better! The prices are better and organized very well! I love visiting their Jewelry counter that’s so awesome! Finally, I like that they play religious music thank you 🙏🏻 It’s so soothing and uplifting

Great, but they are starting to raise prices to a level way to high to be a thrift store. In some cases, brand new items can be purchased at Walmart for less than what they are charging for used items. But in general I still love the place.

Small store and it gets really crazy on half off days. The regular prices are still good and I enjoy the 3 colors of discounts each week. The colors change on Mondays, so it’s a nice day to score some deals before anyone else does.

They just hang clothes anywhere , and put sizes all together , u mike the Broad st store , so its very to.eky and frustrating to shop for pants especially . You have to sift thru tons of jeans , etc until you find your size. SO FRUSTRATING . They let ppls kids run wild in this store too. But the biggest thing , AND IVE told THEM NUMEROUS TIMES , IS THEY STAPLE THE PRICE TAG RIGHT THRU THE LEATHER COATS AND SHIRTS , i stead of stapling the price tag on the shirts tag !! I live right around the corner from the Henderson rd store but quit shopping there due to the stapling tags right thru through the leathee coats or shirts , therefore leaving a hole in the item you purchased. Ty. PRICE TAG RIGHT THRU THE LEATHER COAT , RIFHT RIGHT

Love this store! I’ve found so many good deals here. The staff has always been nice, especially Olivia. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the way the clothing is organized. I understand it’s more efficient for the workers but it a lot harder for customers to find clothes in their size when it’s mixed all together. I sometimes don’t even look because it takes too much time. Especially for the infant/toddler section. It would be soo much better if it was at least separated by gender! But I really do love this store and will continue coming here often!

A few years back, I would always find amazing stuff at this store. But the last few times I have gone I have left empty handed. I also found that some of the pricing on individual items seemed a bit high for the thrift store and it can be frustrating that not all of the clothing is sorted by size. But it is clean and big and still fun to thrift at!

Good location, good interior, in the former Sears Hardware building what was a movie theater at the start, demolished then became Sears Hardware. Good staff, much bigger than the old one.

This Volunteers of America location is my FAVORITE thrift shop in town! Low prices, high quality clothes, coats, shoes, purses, household, toys books, where else can you go on a total shopping spree and not spend much at all? Clothes are sorted by types and colors, not sizes, so take some time and look around! Dressing rooms also available if you'd like to try something on. Love the fact that VOA assists veterans and low-income people in need. Staff is always very friendly at this location.

Great prices for really nice clothing. You can find brand names and high end designers some times. The air conditioner doesn’t work when it’s hot out though. They keep saying for two years it’s going to be fixed and I have yet to see it. Other than that the place is great. It’s just not comfortable shopping when it’s 80 or 90° out.

Never had an issue there. always found great deals and big hauls, both my mother and I. I have brought friends along for a great selection. It's not organized by size but feel I find more this way than other store . These prices are so great I cannot complain. So glad I found this place!

I shop at this VOA on a regular basis. They generally have anything I'm looking for. The prices are generally reasonable, each week there are different colored price tags that there is a % off the price tag i.e. 25%, 50% off the price of the item. The very best time to shop and get the most bang for your buck the last Tuesday of each month (everything is half off). I highly recommend this thrift store.

Decent selection of second-hand items, with clothes near the front and other items/electronics near the back. Snagged a set of 72 Copic markers for $65 after 50% off once. Best Christmas present for myself ever?

I LOVE this store. They have A LOT of everything! When I need something, I start here. I will say their prices are more than they should be in my opinion. For example, some of the children’s books are either really dirty or tiny but I was told they were the same price as the larger children’s books.

Went in to look for clothes.They were nicely sorted by color and category, however I'm not going to spend hours looking thru clothes that are not my size. Perhaps the store feels it is an efficient use of their time to not sort by size, but it is not efficient for me. Otherwise store is clean and staff friendly.

This has great items at a great price, especially knick knacks, kitchenware, and children's books. Plus size clothes are hard to find here, especially since they're mixed in with the regular size clothes. While it wasn't busy around Christmas, any other time during the weekend, expect a fairly large crowd.

Clean. Organized. There's a pretty wide selection; you can usually find something you like at an amazing price. If that isn't good enough they have some colored tag system and if your item is the colored tag of the week you get 50 and 75% off. So it's either cheap. expensive. Or dirt cheap inexpensive

Now that I'm 68 years young and on Social Security I find myself needing to be quite thrifty and the Volunteers of America at 1824 Henderson Rd. in Columbus, Ohio makes that not only possible but a wonderful experience as well! Every single time I visit this particular store I am always greeted by an employee. Not only do they treat me with the utmost respect, whether I need their assistance with something or when I'm checking out! Having the discount tags listed clearly just as I walk in is great. Went in to see if they had a coat rack (they didn't) but found a belt. Wait in line. It didn't have aexplace on it. They wouldn't sell it to me! The woman at checkout was apologetic. I asked if the manager was there. Manager with a stony face he says he can't sell it. I told them I'd pay whatever. All the belts ranged from .99 to 2.99. Geez, charge me top price! They wouldn't do it and no explanation as to why. Boo, hiss bad show!

There is always something to find here at great prices. I've even found brand new items with store tags still on them also at great buys. I get all of my work clothes here and recommend it often to others.

I used to shop here all the time when I lived in the neighborhood. I have sometimes gone out of my way just to come back. They always have a great selection and you just can't beat the prices. Unlike some other places they have used TV's and computers in the back.

Very small but packed with used inventory. You will find a little of everything from kids to household. If you have time for the hunt you might find a treasure!

Decent selection of typical thrift goods, and a few "better brand" racks. I think its ridiculously expensive for donated goods, which makes me question the intent for this "non profit" organization.
