Reviews of Goodwill Wyoming - Cheyenne Nationway
I enjoy going to the goodwill and finding things for my family. However I really feel like they need to have better pricing signs. I always feel like I can never find one and then I feel like the employee knows the rules but customers don't. I read some reviews before I made my own. One 2 years ago with the same complaint of pricing on jeans not marked at a higher price but some are more because of the brand. Goodwill cometed on making better signs but they defiantly have not changed. It sucks that it's up to your employees discretion. Please make better signs or put rules on your website. Some people coming in are on a budget and figure what they have before walking up to the check out it could be super embarrassing when they don't have the extra money to pay for it.
I was there a month ago while visiting my son. I was pleasantly surprised because prices are so much lower here than where I live. The store was well organized and everyone was very nice.
Always an interesting selection. Well organized and clean. Staff is not too intrusive, but friendly and helpful.
Best Goodwill in southern Wyoming and Northern Colorado. Ive shopped them all and visit this one weekly because it's by far the best. They sell some larger items out in their drop off lot (one of my favorite features). The prices are all fair, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the manager is the same. He does a great job with this store. I always leave this location happy with my shopping experience :)
It’s a Goodwill. Fortunately for you, it’s a Wyoming Goodwill, meaning you can be homeless, unemployed and still afford to shop here. I’ve found unopened Creative Moments scrapbooks here for $1-$3 before, next to new kids shoes for $2, and this Cheyenne location can’t be beat for bike prices. Staff has always been friendly with me and I love seeing their mission in action here, providing jobs to those who might otherwise not have one. Rock on, Goodwill.
There’s a decent amount of variety at this location. Not very busy when I’ve gone. Lots of clothes but random other stuff as well. Not always what you’re looking for but can occasionally grab some great finds. Parking is good and location is a bit off the trail. Staff is more than pleasant.
Its clean. Selection is good. Dishes etc are starting to really pile up. I got a Coach purse for $3. Little disappointed they raised puzzles to $3 (since you are never sure all the pieces are there)
I love shopping here for restoration project. They never overprice items. They are compatible to prices you see on an auction floor. Affordable. They seem to have a very good crew there. I like that they employ people on disability and give them a chance to work. I bought this bench here for $30 dollars there!
The employees are extremely helpful and super nice!!
I really enjoy going here because they make the experience easy as well a positive atmosphere. A lot more organized then in the past and the employees are always working hard on getting stuff out with a pretty good selection too. The manager is very helpful and always gives me outstanding customer service too....will continue to be a regular. :)
Did a lot of service here a few years back and enjoyed my time there immensely. The staff were friendly and helpful, the store was never super crowded, and the store had a easy to navigate layout. I picked up some good stuff here. Decent place.
Love this store! I’ve been going to this particular Goodwill for years and have seen a lot of changes. I have to say that the store is running so much better since Steve became the manager. Lots of new inventory every day, the parking lot is actually getting re paved and all of the employees seem to be much happier too! Oh and kudos to Kyle, he is such a hard worker and has the best attitude!
I went in today looking for a waffle iron but what I witnessed was OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE from the store manager Steve. I could hear him laughing and talking to woman he was checking out, yes you heard it right. It was busy and he was at the register. “I love to work here I really do” he said as he perfectly packed the woman’s treasures.
He’s a magnet of kindness and humility. He told me even though there’s challenges he’s so happy to be working “with a bunch of really great people”.
I know his days must be filled with a myriad of what others may consider an obstacles but I can attest to the fact that if he is stressed out he hides it very well.
He’s just fun and has an awesome personality!
He definitely is a keeper. I would treat him well because with his attitude and fantastic customer service capabilities some savvy business person might try to steal him away. But something tells me he’s exactly where he wants to be.
So kudos Steve you made my day!
I was impressed with the reception I received yesterday while donating. I was greeted and welcomed immediately. Three people made quick work of unloading the furniture from my vehicle. I am attentive to great customer service. This was definitely a 5 🌟
experience. Well done Goodwill on Nationway!
Always a fun shopping experience.
Sign is posted that jeans are 4.25 unless otherwise priced. I went to the register and said three jeans. The clerk went through them and pulled out a pair of pants and said these cost more because of the brand name.
I tried to argue that if they were a different price than they should have been marked as such.
If this is the policy fine but post it and don't do the old price swap at the register and look at me like I was trying to pull a fast one.
I love this store and the cashier (im pretty sure her name is Jessica), that works nights is amazing. She is always laughing, smiling and joking. Its not very often that you come to a store and leave in a better mood than when you entered. Retail therapy takes on a new meaning at this store. This store has always been a favorite because of the great deals and hidden goodies but since the new store manager (Steve) started the store seems cleaner, better oganized, and the atmosphere is happier, friendlier and inviting. I will say the store looks better and even seems busier. This is my favorite store now and i hope GOODWILL recognizes and appreciates the great staff at this store because not many people truly grasp what customer service is and this location is on point.
Well first off...I found the staff to be awesome. Very helpful outgoing and willing to help. Screaming kids ( maybe) so why is this the stores fault?
Maybe they should not allow kids? The parents need to control their kids. This is not the stores fault. I know several people who work there for very little pay and a lot of responsibility's.
I have seen customers go in there and let their kids run wild and make a huge mess then leave without even buying something. I will agree that the prices are a bit on the high side. As far as disorganized.....not sure where that is coming from? I know that the employees work their butts off for very little pay!!!! Whoever commented about a "friendly staff" maybe they should go and apply. Cheyenne Goodwill is one of the lowest paid stores. So maybe you should be more respectful to the staff and remember they are defiantly underpaid and understaffed .
I'm okay with the prices rising but if you're raising those prices at least make the store organized. My biggest pet peeve here is how hard it is to get through the store because the clutter and random carts full of random things. There's better ways to organize.
Unloader employee told me "next time" I should stay outside of drop-off fence until the car ahead was leaving. Minimal signage does not clearly tell a driver what to do. Young Man was snarky, I returned his snark. The young employee reported his shock that an old customer was snarky back. I moved my truck outside the fence, walked in to get my furniture. Manager moved my furniture to the back door but refused to cart my stuff 20 feet to my truck, outside the fence (where I was told to wait). Manager explained that I was now blocking the drop off area, made me move my truck back inside the fence. She told me it was more important to unload stuff than to sell stuff. The snarky kid was a shock. The loyal manager needs training, the drop off area needs signage and you've lost my business for a month, and my next drop off goes in the trash. I'll try again later. Update: it's been about a month so I went back to try your store again. The new loading sign was easy to understand and the "please & thank you" felt very welcoming. Inside I was immediately greeted by a welcoming banner. While shopping I kept to myself, listening to all the employees interacting. A+. Everyone was happy, welcoming and interacting well. I'm happy to report that everything went fine inside. I did not have a donation this time so I can't report on the unloading are. I'm back again. Thank you for effort. I can clearly see an improvement so I'm changing my review from a 1 to a 5 because this is a new visit, on a new day, and you have been forgiven.
I've not had a bad experience here. I have been able to find a few things we wanted and a drop-off was quick and easy. The store isn't in a great location and it seems pretty messy/cluttered in there. I know its a Goodwill Store, but I've been to several of these and it seems less organized. The north Cheyenne store is much nicer.
You can good clean used items here for reasonable price.i love it there.
The store manager Steven was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend shopping there. If you had a bad experience I would let him know! Jesse is also a great store employee she is also very friendly and helpful!
The quality of items seems to be going down as the prices go up. Also the cashiers are very slow, the wait in line at times is unreal.
Love it with times not that great I ALLWAYS get my money worth and than some
Like every Goodwill, you know that your purchase is helping out. I enjoy browsing in our two Goodwill locations. I do like the one near Dell Range a little better, but both offer a wide range of selection for you and yours. I always find something neat, rather it be a ball for the dog to play with, a CD/DVD a book or some t-shirts.
The employees are so much better than the employees at the Masonwau branch. My trouble with both branched is I am a 12 year Army Veteran with no disabilities. I have an expired identification and Goodwill will not accept that nor DD214 which shows an honorable discharge. Employee Bonnie is downright rude and atimate about my not having enough proof. I as you and everyone in America, "Is this right for me to fight for your freedom and your store not honor Government issued credentials? I think it's disgraceful, ungrateful, and un-American! Get back with me. I would you!
I LOVE the Goodwill and most of my home, clothes and items I sell at my vintage shop are from here, however.....I really wish they would stop writing on things with marker. I bought a beautiful vintage piece of luggage and it wasn't til I got home that I noticed the big -3 marked on the leather strap, right on top and I can't get it off. I have bought beautiful pottery pieces and I can't get the marker off. Glass items with marker can easily be removed but like I said leather and pottery its very hard to remove. I have been to Goodwills all over the country and the two in Cheyenne are the only Goodwills I've been to that write in marker on pieces and don't have sale days?
For this to be a second hand store and all of the items being donated it is really expensive. 6.50 for and used coat and it does not matter if it is worn or not it still is the same price. I got a pair of baby jams and it had holes in the feet and they wanted full price. It should be marked down. I am very disappointed.
Good thing-lots of inventory. Bad thing-it's because the prices are to high. So much inventory they have sellabe items, including nice furniture, out back and in the elements.
Such a fun place to yard sale indoors. And two of them in Cheyenne. The ultimate goal of funding such a needed service here.
Great experience today 🙌🙌🙌 …
Hit and miss, best for clothing and random junk. Pricing can be unreasonable.... Whoever is in charge of pricing needs to have a reality check! Issues with their new checkout system, but sometimes you can get real bargains here
Great place to find great prices on second hand goods!
Different experience tonight. But good finds! A bit overpriced and seems like it’s not goodwill prices. 4$ for a used canvas that’s painted pink.
Odds and ends, nice finds, friendly staff.
Great gently used clothes very affordable.i bought some really nice clothes . I love this store I'm going back .
Always nice to see what you might find. Favorite place to shop
This goodwill is the bomb!! The people are always so nice and helpful I feel like my money is going to a good cause and so is my donations. Keep up the good work !
Great experience! Staff were super sweet!
Thanks
I can't say enough good things about this store! The staff is simply AMAZING!!!
The staff were helpful and things were well organized. I will definitely be going again.
The cashier had a very dry sense about her. There was nothing friendly about her.
Great store! Recently, the stores has been reorganized and clean. Great new look.
One of the best Goodwills I've been to. Good selection, great management and staff...recommend!
It smells pretty bad here, but you can always find some fun stuff. I got a cool cow shirt today.
Great service, always friendly, prices like ummmm soon cheap, always treasures and deals to be found, if you look hard enough;)
Lots of inventory at great prices, however it's slightly disorganized due to limited space. If you have time and patience to dig, you might find treasure.
They have a wide variety of things from clothing and household goods, to toys and bedding. Their prices are usually good and friendly staff.
Nice store but not a lot of high quality donations to buy. Low end. Lot of dust.
It's always clean and neat the people are always a pleasure to be with and good prices
Great experience
This place was amazing, they had exactly what I needed and the employees were super friendly!
Had great time shopping at this location. Manager is super friendly and helpful.
Great new store. We hit it on a day when everything was $2 and we made out like bandits.
This place has been in the same location for decades. Plenty of selection and the prices are more than fair. It's what you expect a goodwill to be.
Different options and courtesy they gave us when we were looking to purchase a new dresser for our daughter.
Lots of stuff and nice people and helpful
Fun place to shop. Kasey and Steve make us want to keep coming back. Thanks for the treasures😂 …
Meh, sometimes you can find a good deal. The books are super cheap though.
Typical Goodwill with tons of clothes. My only real complaint is I wish they would use a barcode price tags instead of writing on everything with sharpies.
Neat, clean, good merchandise, with senior citizen discount.
Always friendly staff usually can find xactly what your looking for
I like the selection and prices r getting better
