Reviews of Goodwill Store: Williston
Very friendly and helpful staff taking donations. Originally showed up and their truck was late so they kindly pointed me in the direction of Resource, where they were so incredibly rude and unhelpful and would only take 2 bags of items. Came back to Goodwill the next day with more donated items and it was very clear where to go, what to do and the staff was again very friendly.
Big store and good assortment. Very busy with shoppers as well as donations. Many young people shopping for clothing. They have specials on certain days of the week, with discounts for seniors and the military. People at the registers were very friendly. I do recommend this store. And they hiring!
Decent selection but seriously dwindling stock compared to the donation line.
If you’re coming here to drop off donations be sure to plan on 15+ minute wait on the weekends as they’re usually quite busy. Especially compared to the in store selection.
The store is well organized and clean. There wasn't much in the electronics and A/V section. I scored a Panasonic battery operated pencil sharpener for $3.
I come here frequently—sometimes I walk out with arms overflowing, sometimes with empty hands. Women’s clothing selection is decent, sometimes overpriced. Employees are quite friendly. CD & electronic sections are usually dry.
Selection and cleanliness are great here. Easy to drop off donations right from the car. Has hits and misses just like any thrifting experience. Staff is very nice.
I was able to quickly donate a lot of items when I needed to.
Not a ton of inventory but very well kept and very neatly managed. A few cool deals ($15/bag mondays, $1 color tagged items Sunday’s) to name a few
Best shopping, great deals, and love the fill a bag idea. I can always leave with lots of great finds and still have a pocket full of money left. They have great staff and bathrooms are always spotless! I have nothing bad to say about it.
I absolutely love shopping here. You never know what you're going to find. I found many amazing eclectic items. Don't expect to find a million dollar REM brand, however you will find great deals and super friendly staff. always remember to give your change to local charities. They just round up to the nearest dollar to help local charities.
I love goodwill in general but the recent change to have the shoes in the center of each random isle and so high that anyone over 5’5 can’t possibly see or reach is the worst idea.. who thought that would be a good idea? They have a section of “handpicked” stuff which is a total waste of space and their great shoe section is gone and now shoes are scattered randomly down each isle... this isn’t wheelchair/handicapped friendly or even anyone friendly for that matter!!! Please change it back.
No bad deals. Stuff is usually in good shape. Parking can be a bit problematic when vehicles dropping off donations line up though.
The new location is just as bad for drops. Cars are out to the road and blocking shoppers from leaving.
Visiting my sister in Vermont, it wouldn't be a place that I would go to on my own. But she brought me here, and I'm glad that she did. Lots of choices! If you're looking for something, go here first. I was absolutely amazed at what they have to offer.
For me, it's electronics. And unbelievably true they have legacy computer components such as memory dimms, platter hard drives, and so forth. While at checkout I noticed they have GPS devices' too. Much to my amazement they also had two of the original Nintendo games in stock.
Definitely a place you want to go if you're looking for inexpensive items that are gently used or new. Great place to shop for Christmas.
I love this store, always seems clean employees are friendly and helpful. I have found some very good deals for myself and other members of my family. My only complaint is the book section, I agree with another person I think the books are very high priced for items that were donated and I really wished they were organized in some manner - by author would be ideal though I know that would be difficult to keep in place, maybe at least by a heading such as mystery/romance etc. This is not just the Williston store but true of all Goodwills and I have been in most of them in Maine and NH.
I will continue going to Goodwill - who doesn't love a bargain, all you need is to give up some time looking to cash in big time savings..
Always a great place to find what you need usually. But not today. Next time
Their selection has gotten much better now that they are in a new location and have a lot more room. It's a lot better organized now. They have also gone bag free to be more environmentally friendly, so bring a reusable bag or two with you.
This goodwill has a good selection of clothing and goods for the most part. One thing I cant get my head around is why I'm being told I cannot shop the new racks. I've always been polite and asked the employees before I browsed, I dont make a mess (I used to work retail so I like to be civil), and the items are on the floor and already priced. I shop here often and I now I feel uncomfortable that I'm gonna get snapped at by an employee by just respectively shopping. I'm a fast browser and if I've already looked through the store, why does this location get bothered by me looking through merchandise that is for sale? I've shopped at many goodwills throughout the country and this is the first location that has enforced such a stupid policy. What gives?
Smells like a closet full of dirty clothes. If you’re looking for clothes they got a wide selection. Other departments are more spare. They recently moved to this new place, which has a lot more room. They don’t fill it well.
Great selection of music, movies and various board games. All at very affordable prices but if you live in the lower or Southern Region of VT round trip time means that you are better off finding a thrift store that is much closer to wherever you live too.
As a regular customer of this location, the store is showing much improvement. The management team in both the main store and Buy the Pound are making that happen.
impatient people who want to ‘walk up’ during really busy times can be rude & aggressive. the staffers a
‘re always infinitely patient (& a person behind me thanked me for ‘trying’ to stop a line cutter... ( but I have a truck! sign says no trucks’ he argues...?- i shoulda said-NOT a little pick-up , dope! IF ‘you pay overroad taxes & have a log book’ REAL! truck 🤥
great selection & I stop by every time nearby- & try to NOT buy ‘wants’ -only ‘needs’! try...
One of the cleanest and well stocked Goodwill stores in New England. I always find great used cds and and books there. Good quality clothing, clean and prices to sell. Some thing for everyone!
I try and shop this Goodwill, as well as the store in South Burlington once or twice a month. They have good deals on DVD’s, books, clothing, and kitchen items/household goods. Like a set of plates and glass tumblers for $1 each. Can’t go wrong here, but stuff moves in and out quickly, so be sure to grab it if you think you might want it. Definitely worth checking out. Parking at the Williston location is almost an impossible scenario most weekends though
Great store. Good selection. For some reason there was hard rock playing the whole time I shopped. please mix it in for those who enjoy music a bit dialed back
Great place to find second hand clothes. Also a lot of different types of things.
Decent goodwill. Not much to choose for furniture but lots of clothes and housewares. And surprisingly high amount of new items too.
Its a good place shop.some prices are to high.on items .that have past though lots of hands .they sell things that have been glued together.or not all there..an the shelves are dumpy.look at electronics. Its messy. The music cd s .u cant look at them they fall off shelves on the end.records are to low to see .an the front door .need signs In and Out .i come in the store an somebodys trying to go though. The door i just opened to go in .There are two doors .open your own damm door.am not the door man
I have frequented the goodwill for many years and have had for the most part OK service and costumer relation,But as like in most businesses there is always that one or two that act like they are the boss of everything and swell their heads with the "I am the manager attitude" With that being said they treat you with the disrespect that is undeserving to you as a paying customer.I spent a good chunk of money on a grandfather clock and asked for some cardboard boxes or plastic bags or something to cover the clock from the pouring rain so the clock wouldn't get ruined during the transport on the roof of the car.The worker in the back gave me such attitude and refused me any plastic bags or cardboard saying they cant give that to me,So I offered to pay for it and reminded her that i just brought in two boxes with plastic bags full of donation items and for that matter then give me my bags and boxes back so i could cover the clock,The conversation became ridiculously out of hand to where i asked for someone higher to speak with or i just plain out was not taking the clock out in the rain because it would ruin it and i would have to return it and so on.Anyways there are times when there should be a place to put people with this kind of attitude to the general public on a write up or something
One major issue I have with the plastic partitions that you have to go through to get in the back room is by doing so it is in my opinion a very very unsanitary thing to have hundreds of people rubbing up against and touching with all parts of themselves to get in the back,I have watch folks with sores and bandages and sweat and fluids go through those partitions and it is absolutely gross,i never see anyone clean them but its a disease strip just waiting to spread to the unknowing.its like a fly strip for human contagious spreader..
More impressive than usual, I recommend.
I definitely prefer this location to the one in South Burlington. The clothing selection is a lot better. Moving seems to have only improved things.
Spacious but they didn't have that many good selection.
This Goodwill is fantastic! The selection is always great, with high turnover, so there's always new so stuff showing up. The half off and dollar day sales are excellent.
The store was fine. Not the largest selection of clothes, but there is still some good stuff
Not a lot of vintage items.Cd's, Records, and movies are priced high.
Usually a decent selection. Would give 5 stars if they utilized more of their space for more than just clothing
I like this place. I get irritated when they watch me take something awkward or heavy out of the car and then tell me they can't take it after getting it out of the car. They stand and watch because they are not supposed to help so they can see what it is I'm trying to remove. Now, I always ask first.
Good store and selection, but if you ever go within an hour of them closing the staff cuts you off at the door and follow you around shouting how many minutes you have left.
They have this nice huge building, but the clothes are still jammed on the racks. They definitely need to put up more racks or maybe rotate the clothing.
Great store. Had much what I wanted and good prices. Will go back!!
Great place with very reasonable prices! You never know what you will find!
Great place with lots of discount clothes. Also is a really excellent job training program for at risk people.
I really like the place and the people...I feel real bad for their lack of help.
A great location for books and clothing. Nice staff and quiet, fun, deal-seeking atmosphere.
Great finds today!
Pretty good selection in store. Took my stuff! :)
Great place. Very busy today but fast
Just an average goodwill store. they do have a large warehouse full of items and often have big influx of donations.
A bit too pricey seeing as the stuff is donated, Williston Goodwill is smaller but I like it better
Found some really cute boots for 75% off. Woo hoo
Better selection than the goodwill on Shelburne rd for furniture, earlier closing for donations.
Found some fantastic scores and staff is always pleasant!
Love this place!
Great place with a good selection of clothing, household and accessories.
It is hit or miss as to what you may find at the time but they continually are getting new things in.
A little over priced for some of the clothes that look raggedy but good for other things.
THE BINS ARE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!!!
Best bathrooms. The toilet was very smooth on my bottom.
Great staff! Always fun looking for a great buy !
I've bought plenty of gaming products from here. Good prices.
Better selection and way better organized, though a little dark.
Great staff, everything is neatly displayed and organized.
Lots of good deals. Good training programs for the disabled.
Long line, but the employee seemed pretty efficient.
I love to stop weekly, always find something I like!
I found the cashier to be extremely rude and I totally miss the furniture they use to have
The only place in town where you're gonna find a used, but perfectly functional, cursed idol.
Fairly large store with really good prices.
I like it
Wonderful selection great prices and good quality
Not much to see for infant clothing or children clothing.
Some prices have gone up considerably. Staff is friendly.
Very inexpensive used furniture, clothing and pictures
Massive new store, huge selection.
Seemed a little disorganized and the prices are on the high side.
Clean, wide selection and great prices.
Lots of high quality goods for low prices
More like greatwill, always donate more then I buy here!

Kim is an employee of this store who deserves a million stars! She is always smiling, friendly, and working hard. Lately, I’ve noticed she’s been working with a young lady on job skills and is always patient and wonderful with her! I hope Goodwill recognizes what a gem Kim is and how lucky they are to have her:)
