Reviews of Turn A Leaf
I occasionally like going to Thrift stores. Turn a leaf is one of my favorites! Friendly staff. Prices are good for being a thrift store and they have certain days they do deals! Also to my understanding they're non-profit. They do accept donations as well!
I am grateful that Turn A Leaf values people as employees rather than computers checking customers out. It is so human to talk with people we have come to know. The prices at Turn A Leaf are true to a thrift store rather than a cooperate “bigwig” making all the money at Value Village rather than the hard workers on the floor.
People are great prices are better. Weekly deals are on point and always satisfying to the avid trifter. I always find at least 1 thing and never spend much. Last time I got my dogs a sweet piano! It will be on here soon as I can train them to play it😳🦴🐶🐕🦮🐕🦺🐩 …
They are a great thrift store with awesome customer service. Their prices are decent and items were easy to locate.
This little known gem of a place is a great thrift store in Wasilla. They have a great selection of clothing, books, furniture, and more! I find great deals on yarn here often. This store also acts as a sort of community center; loaning things like canes and wheelchairs to people with short-term needs for free!
I've had a wonderful experience, I not only work there I shop there, we are a very customer conscious store.
Perfect for those trinket needs and wants but can't Pay more for quality items.
Went there yesterday. For a shelf. Great place.
I realize they offer community service, but the person checking me out shouldn't be telling me the pants I grabbed were C.O. pants, and that she'd seen too many of them.. just saying..
Like this place a lot! They help the disabled and elderly. Great prices, awesome sales. They do a lot for the community of Wasilla and no one even knows. They have sales/deals for those on a budget for work clothes. They have tag sales, they test the alliances. They re did some of the store, it feels more open. Remember it’s a thrift shop, not a laundry mat. So you will have to wash before wearing.
Only down side I have is they try to sell shoes that are beyond worn out. They recently changed the prices and signs so it’s a bit misleading. They use to have great prices on shoes, great for growing kids who are active. But they have increased the prices on the shoes, big thumbs down.
I hope they don’t turn into Value Village, they are so over priced!
Love this store.
Community oriented and friendly and clean.
Manager Levi is awesome!
A must stop for blisters..best prices around. Worth your time, lots of stuff. Clean. Polite employees.
Nice selection of everything and good quality. Nice staff and free hand made face masks 😷 for everyone. …
It's always fun shopping with my grandson Lucian there's always something for both of us usually something unexpected that's the best part about coming here
Wonderful thrift store! It’s not very big and can be a bit disorganized, but the prices absolutely cant be beat anywhere! I love going on Wednesdays because they have amazing sales!
How absolutely blessed we are to have an organization like this who truly cares about the survival of you and your family as well as putting self-sufficiency on the top of the list of priorities ☺️ I came in to my Google maps to specifically look for Turn A Leaf/Valley Charities organization to say THANK YOU and also thank you to everyone who donated their precious time and effort and earnings to this wonderful place.
🙏
I cannot say thank you enough for the difference in my life I am going to see and also the people around me😁
This is a thrift store. A variety of used everything is available here. Their pricing is more affordable than the other thrift stores in the area and they usually have good sales like 50% off and 10 cent books. Worth stopping in 😊 …
Have always loved going n shopping at Turn A Leaf except 4 one thing there is a red headed bigger woman who works there & she is always very rude n unhelpful! If u ask her 4 help she'll either ignore u or have a sour face n answer 😒 The visit prior 2 yesterday had 2 deal w her n it was quite umpleasant tho i had been told by a wonderful older gentleman that certain items wr 1/2 price n when i held up a few things i had already placed in cart which had been on a the shelf when u first step inside n asked him if these wr included he said yes! The red headed woman was not in the store at that time or nowhere 2 b seen!! Yet when i finally had finished my shopping n was ready 2 check out she was at the register n started charging me full price when i tried 2 explain what i had been told on arrival she not only looked at me as if i was lying but told me then items wr not on the said shelf cuz she had placed them elsewhere- as i started 2 get quite upset the gentleman showed up n backed me up. Since most of my items wr on the counter n fragile things she just kept piling the rest of the items which i had (plus heavier) on top 😠 My total came 2 $55.89 n i gave her $56 at that she then asked if i wanted the items bagged up DUH! I also mentioned she hadnt given me my change of .11 cents since she was upset that i even mentioned my change she cldnt even figure that amount out small as it was cuz she had been talking 2 a woman who was sitting behind the counter n whom i had never seen her there b4 dont think she worked there😱usually i dont sweat the little stuff like this but w her n her rudeness ALWAYS i wasnt going 2 let it go-i had not been here 4 quite awhile just becuz of HER!😟& i will not enter again if i c her inside. I think Turn A Leag itself is outstanding n give them high praise 4 being very community oriented n have helped people i know who wr truly in need due 2 fire or other catastrophes n i usually will spend $50-$100 when there due 2 quality items but pls 4 all r sakes either reprimand or fire this woman who shld not work in customer service👎i promise ud get a lot more business back✌
It is a very nice, clean, and well organized thrift store. The staff is friendly and their prices are set very fairly and has a well diverse inventory, plenty of books for the heavy reader!!
Love this store! I always find a good treasure....usually a basket full!! Friendly people working, good variety and prices are ok
Such a great Place. I recently had a complete knee replacement, we were told that possibly Turn a Leaf might have items I could borrow..and they did!!
Shower chair..walker..canes..We were so blessed.
Love this place! Always find a good treasure to bring home! Every wednesday is $1 days for clothes so a buck apiece!!
Lots of winter gear, Columbia, Eddie Bauer, NorthFace, REI and other nice clothing. Military and Senior discounts. Very nice staff. Electronics section was lacking.
Friendly customer service and quality items
turn A leaf is a WONDERFUL organization. John Rozzi does such a wonderful job. We appreciate turn A leaf's efforts and how they are working to build a stronger community while helping those less fortunate. Thank you, turn A leaf for being such a wonderful asset to our community!
50% Off on Wednesdays, you can buy clothes in a tight budget. I would recommend this store to friends and family.
Good used products, at decent prices. Staff that is always friendly and helpful, and it's a not for profit business, that helps within our own community.
Nice store with good prices. Not as much variety as some of the other thrift stores but always work stopping by when in Wasilla.

Nice little thrift shop . But thay put dirty muddy boots and shoes out for sale I think they could have at least wipe them off.
Great thrift store with many disabled/senior services. A benefit to the community.
The prices are reasonable and they help the community in great ways. Wonderful organization.
