Red top taxi was pre-order the night before for 9 AM pick up in Alexandria. The driver, car #45, came right on time and was very accommodating and kind. He offered to load our bags into the trunk. We were very pleased with his very clean car, his driving, and his professional service. He went out of his way to be of helpful.

This is my go to transportation service I use when I go on travel. We’ve traveled mostly in the morning to and from Reagan Airport. Their automation service to schedule is always accurate, and whenever we needed time adjustments to the reservation, there’s always been a customer service rep to assist (even for early AM flights) and their drivers are communicative when they arrive for the reserved pick up time.

They were great. I recommend using them. I only found them after a bad lyft and uber experience and I would only use them after that. I helped put several elderly veterans into their cars at Arlington and all of them were friendly and patient. My favorite was one that I rode with who was a tour guide by day and driver by night. He told us some amazing history as we drove through the streets to our hotel. I was amazed and learned a lot. He was friendly and made the trip effortlessly without a need for GPS. Kudos to all of you for knowing what you are doing. I will NEVER use anyone else after finding you when I come to visit. I come for work and I need the efficiency of getting where I am going without incident.

I asked for a Toyota Prius and got a Toyota Prius but the driver had stored a lot of junk in the well where the seats were supposed to go so there was difficulty loading my cargo. I am not asking to have that driver removed from service for me or for anyone else. I am asking you to remind all drivers to keep the trunks clear of debris or remove it when servicing a customer who indicates they will need the trunk or other cargo service. My driver had a jack battery cables tools and other miscellaneous stuff in the cargo well where the seats were supposed to go. A reliable cab and I mean the vehicle not the driver would have that area clear. Thank you for providing the Toyota Prius this is my only comment

Taxis are always reliable going to the airport. Much cheaper than Uber. The online and phone reservations and tracking where taxi is are terrible. You have to speak to a person. Then everything is fine.

I called a cab for someone I don't know who came to the property I work at because they had went out and weren't in good condition to get home and provided the address to Red Top. Not even a minute later I got a call that the cab had arrived. When I went out, I saw no one but within another minute the cab driver pulled up. I made sure the guy was able to provide his address and the cab was able to take his debit card. He was patient and nice. WOW! That was so fast and such a great service!

Ive used Red Top several times. I reserve online and the cab always arrive on time (usually early) and the drivers help with luggage and are very nice I’m surprised by the low ratings. I find them easy to use and dependable. Unlike App services (which I use also), the individual drivers can cancel the day of the ride and you are stuck without a ride to the airport. This is a company where they have other drivers in the fleet that can assist. Highly recommend for airport travel.

Autism With A Voice

When it comes down to wheelchair accessible services red top in the DC and northern Virginia region is one of the few options. They are really nice when it comes in person but when it comes down to reserving. They are completely rude and disgusting. Twice I reserved a wheelchair accessible cab and they came hours later. When I would call them up they would continually give me excuse after excuse and at 1 point they accused me of giving them the wrong address. When I complain they hung up rudely. If you're a wheelchair user do not go with red top because you're better off going to Uber or metro. Both metro and Uber are 20 times more friendly than red top and that's from experience. For me I am never going to red top ever again.

The credit card reader did not work. I had to pay cash. Fortunately, I had cash on me, but had I not, we would have been at an impasse. Fix the card readers! During my last red top cab ride, the card reader did not work either. The driver tried entering it manually twice. It seemed to fail. I paid cash. A month later, after getting my credit card statement, I discovered I was charged twice on the card even after paying with cash. Red top refused to reimburse me. Fix the damn card readers!

I used to use Red Top Cab for airport trips before Uber became big and they were always on time. I wasn't sure if this would still be true since ride-sharing has made such a dent in cab services, but I tried Red Top Cab over Thanksgiving weekend and had an excellent experience. They were less than half the price of Uber and had perfect service. I booked the cab by phone (we had a wheelchair), they texted me confirmation, and because my plane was delayed I had to cancel (by text -- super easy). I re-booked for a later time and the cab was at my house 15 minutes early! So reassuring. I highly, highly recommend Red Top Cab, particularly when Uber seems to be raising fares to insane levels. My quoted price from Uber was $125 and my actual price from Red Top Cab was $54. Our driver was great and I would use them again in a moment.

Perfectly on time! I scheduled a pick up for 10am on a Saturday and the Taxi showed up at 9:58am. I made my reservation in advance and even added in time to make sure I could implement a plan B in the event they did not show. So I'm a little miffed I ended up getting to the airport earlier than I thought I would Haha. But it's a problem I'm happy with. The only reason I took a star was because the cab smelled just a little and the cabbie was a little heavy on the breaks. Outside of that he was 100% professional and I felt comfortable.

I have been using RedTop cab services since I moved to Alexandria in 2013 regularly to commute to and from work daily and on weekends. I have to say since the new management has taken over recently and there is no more personal communication service with a dispatcher my service has gone down from a 9 to a 2. I use to call to get a cab from the dispatch and knew the ladies and gentlemen I was talking to by name and they knew me by name and they would provide me with my cab number and get confirmation texts and you could cancel if you needed to. Now when you call its automated and you might get a confirmation text but I mostly dont, so you dont know if a cab is confirmed or not and when it is someone else takes my cab because now they don't ask your name from the automated call system. So then I have to call and request another one or you call and 2 minutes later you get a text saying it's arrived but no cab is there. It's just gotten out of hand and frustrating when I could be home by the time the next cab gets there. You also cant get receipts for your trips with the updated pay system thats been installed at least with DC cabs they give you the option for a printed receipt on their same system. Or they use Square and it emails you a receipt. Management needs to do something because your service has diminished for someone who uses it on a daily basis. Please look into your customer service and pay attention to what your riders are saying. Because as bad as the service has gotten I wont go to Uber for the fact that I have faith in the few drivers who treat me right. Thanks

I called the number, followed the prompts, and scheduled a cab for a particular time that day. The cab never showed up. So, the automated phone system isn't totally reliable. When I chose the option to call a cab right away, it arrived 10 minutes later. Just kind of strange.

I love when I need to leave the city of Alexandria for my trip because that means I can use Red Top instead of the garbage Yellow Cab in VA. I have never had an issue getting a wheelchair accessible van when I need one, and they have great customer service. Sheile was great to work with and if you're leaving Alexandria and need a wheelchair accessible cab, call them first.

Tasha, who handles the MetroAccess rides from RedTop, is simply excellent. MetroAccess is thoroughly unhelpful, but both Tasha and RedTop are exceptionally understanding when it comes to their paratransit customers. I have had one bad experience with a MetroAccess driver from RedTop who did not provide the requisite loading and unloading assistance, but RedTop handled the complaint and subsequent follow up very well.
