Opens at 7am ( if you're lucky). Check in inside, also has seating and vending machines. The bus is almost always on time. The station is kept clean and well maintained. And the attendant is always helpful and friendly.

Very old fashioned. Doesn't accept tickets on cellphone. Needs over half an hour waiting in line to get tickets. Makes several stops in different cities so usually later than the expected arrival time. However, experiences on the bus were pretty good.

This is one of the smallest greyhound stations I've ever been to. When you arrive there are signs that say you must check in at the counter and the man behind the counter tells you he must see your baggage and tag it. He wasn't rude to me like some of the other ppl stated im their reviews but I did notice he was rude to some others.
They don't accept eticket via mobile and I don't understand why you need to check in if you already have your printed ticket. But I did it anyway. We got there extremely early for our bus because we weren't sure how crowded it would be. We had over a two hour wait & the man told us that the office was closing for an hour at 12 & that we'd have to find somwhere to go while he went to lunch.
At 12:15 a bus arrived and was going further North but some ppl got off & were waiting for their ride to their destination so the man didn't wind up closing at 12. But by 1 he was asking the woman where here ride was because he needed to close for a half hour to go to the bank. Her ride showed up and then we ere asked to find somwhere to go. There was about 8 ppl waiting with their baggage & we had to walk in the snow covered streets for somewhere to wait until he came back. Luckily there is a D'angelos right next to the station so my daughter and I went there and bought something small just so we could wait inside until the man came back. He did return in a half hour and we were able to go back inside. The bus came about 25 minutes late and everyone tried to rush to the front. I'm glad I tracked the bus location and went to the door when i knew the bus would be arriving because all the ppl that got there after my daughter and me tried to rush to the front and there was no way I was allowing that after being the first one there and waiting so long. The bus came from Bangor & it was already full of ppl so we needed to find decent seats that were together. Luckily we found 2 towards the middle of the bus because most seats were single.

Website was wrong about times and openings. Staff was rude. Bus driver never helped people load suitcases. Not particularly friendly or welcoming. Lighten up people or find another job. You are meant to provide a service.

Make sure to order yor tickets online ahead of time, as last minute in person purchases arent guaranteed.
If you're caught in a storm (or if their bus breaks down prior to boarding) the employee can transfer your ticket to Conchord coach lines free of charge to you, and they'll pay for your taxi to the other bus station. However, if you do not plan ahead, they wont be able to help you.
Cost wise, they tickets alone are cheaper than conchord Coach lines, yet they have just as nice buses- minus the mini televisions. Some of their buses have a toilet in the back.
This station in particular is small and lacks in vending machine variety in comparison to other bus stations I've visited in Maine.

On backside of J&S Oil you will see a bench and sign in wall. Bus pulls into that area and only stops about 5 minutes so arrive early and dont miss it.

Not gonna lie, the attendant there was really polite and helpful. And he has a cool dog, so I liked it there.
Jeremy Lee
It's actually located at the South West side of the Congress St. and St. John St. junction.
Patti, who works there is really nice person. When there's two buses there make sure you double check which one's going north and which is going south.

Car broke down in Maine while visiting family, this is how I got home. Took me 2 hours longer to get home than if I had taken a car, and I had a 1 hour layover. Buses had 115 volt outlets.
Price of the ticket after factoring in gas and tolls is substantially less than if I had driven solo from Connecticut

Greyhound bus station is a great old school classic bus that takes you from your destination to destination but I think they have to come up with a little bit better customer service

The guy there was very helpful and friendly, which was great because it was a hot day and I just arrived from Canada.
Ailie m
It was not a ball but it was ok.The 4 o'clock ride is the best because it is dark out and 80% of the people are sleeping or being quite.
