I did use their services to go to the Cape Liberty cruise port in New Jersey (From Staten Island, New York). I did not use their application. I did reserve a taxi transport in advance (both ways) with their dispatcher. They showed on time each time, the drivers were friendly, professional and drove safely. They are also of good value if you compare with the competition (Ex. Uber, Lyft, etc...). I do recommend them and I will use again their services if I am in the area in the future, thanks guys!

Better then most car services companies that have services Staten Island over the many years I have ordered, used, needed, and experiences calling and riding with/via car service/taxi cabs. Not my favorite service all time or currently, but I would definetly consider Clove Lakes Cars and the service they provide (how long it takes on average for pick-up, customer services experience on the phone, route knowledge and courtesy/overall service of their drivers) to at the very least be respectably sufficient.

Taking an Uber from Eltingville to EWR was nearly 90 dollars for a 20 minute trip. Clove Lake did it for 60. They showed up on time and got me there efficiently. It was a mid day trip, not a busy time.

I only have good words for their service. Since I do not drive and I needed to go to SI University hospital, I took many trips and their drivers are very respectful, on time, the cars are clean, the service is prompt, the phone app excellent and when calling the base they answer rapidly and always trying to help. Clove lakes drivers are great. However the waiting can be over an hour and dispatch will lie about estimated time of arrival. There service use to be much better. Hopefully they will improve.

Would use this car service every time I need a ride in Staten Island NY.Their computer savvy system is like using Uber but priced better.They show up on time and text you a picture of your car and driver.I highly recommend this service.Use it a lot when I am in NY.

Picked up quickly and even stayed when I wasn't ready. The driver was an absolute professional and was a pleasure. Turned on music and played a playlist I created on the drop of a dime. Pretty easy to say, I'm calling them again and again.

I had my daughter prearrange a car service ride for me on May 20th. from JFK airport to her home in Staten Island. I have always been exceptionally happy with their prompt service, clean cars and very friendly and conscientious drivers. On this particular day, a very nice gentleman by the name of Jose was my driver. He was truly exceptional. Again, l have always been pleased but Jose was superb. The traffic at the airport was so insane and every car around us was honking and dodging traffic all around us. Jose was calm, friendly and very easy to deal with. We were engaged in friendly conversation throughout our ride to Staten Island. I felt like we were friends for years. Thinking that my daughter would be driving me back to the airport on Tuesday, l didn’t think taking a car service back to JFK would be necessary. However, plans have changed. We have already reserved the cab for Tuesday, May 24th at 2:00. They will be picking me up at Casey Funeral Home on Slosson Ave. When asked if l could request a particular driver, we were told it was automatically generated through the computer. I hoped l could have Jose bring me back to JFK. If it is in anyway possible, l would appreciate Jose be the driver. Thank you again for your continued excellent service, Janie Meltzer

I hardly use car service because I drive and own my own car but whenever I've had to use them service was phenomenal. They're very up to date on technology and I feel very safe riding with them. The amount of safety measures they take is well appreciated especially with everything going on. I also never wait too long before my car shows up.

I called them with short notice when my usual car service wasn't available. I was a little worried about the negative feedback but thought I would give them a try. They picked me up @ 5:00 am from JFK in the pouring rain. I wasn't familiar with where to wait so I ended up by the taxi stand. The driver called and I told him where I was. He came up and picked me up without a second thought or asking me to try to find my way to where he was. Even though the plane flight was early, they were on top of it waiting for me. The car was nice and the ride was professional. You couldn't ask for anything more. And the price was less by $25 compared to what I usually pay. This is my new car service for any rides I need to airports or into the City. Excellent job!

As Soon as i hung up, the driver Pulled up Literally at that moment. The Service here is impeccable it seems. Jose is one of the Nicest, most Entertaining Individuals you will Find when getting a Car Ride / Service From a Driver. He Literally was the most Nicest, Conversation Friendly, intelligent, and overall Caring individual i would say i Ever had the Chance to give me a Ride with CLove Larks Car Service Company. We arranged for transportation to and from Newark Airport. They were on time and very courteous. Our return flight was delayed so we arrived at 1Am. Our driver Champagne was friendly and we felt very safe with her driving ability. Our driver to the airport was also excellent but i.dont remember his name. Their price was also very reasonable. Today I called a cab and it arrived in about 4 minutes. I explained to the driver that I was in a hurry to get to the bank before it closed. It was right around the time school let out so there was a bit of traffic. He took a lot of back roads to get me there faster. I arrived just in time before the bank closed. While drivers vary in quality (what taxi service doesn't?) I've never had a problem getting from point A to point B. I've had some funny mishaps because I call with an out of state cell phone and live in an obscure location. Now that we've used this company a decent amount, the people answering the phones recognize us and are good about it. Highly recommend calling these guys.

Very professional company. The drivers are very courteous for the most part, although I have had occasion where they do not help me with my bags. Last time I used their service I took a ride from Staten Island to JFK, driver made me regret tipping him before I got to the airport. He all but couldn't wait to get rid of me. He was irriated he took me because there was too much traffic. Those drivers who don't help with bags and are visibly discourteous to customers, I keep 2 stars for myself. I would say this comoany is very organised, they just need to root out bad employees.

I have been using cloves lakes for years! never had an issue. Never an issue. Rare occasion do I have to wait over 10 mins and UNUSUAL they run past 20 mins. I love these guys they are hard working. Including the female drivers.

I moves out of staten island 5 years ago, and o still come to staten island, to serve everyone. My experiences, were mostly good, a lot of type of people, but at the end its always a happy ending, I did not want to , get into details, cause is not my place to do that, every one knows, how everyone is. The best cab company on the island, staff is professional and experienced. They will always be willing to accommodate you on any trip needed, If it’s a short trip to the grocery store or a trip to Atlantic City Clove Lakes will offer a great and friendly ride. Rates are reasonable and rates will never change based on weather and time of day. The best innovation thus far is the inclusion of a credit card swiper in the vehicle itself, always improving and innovating Clove Lakes is the only cab company I trust and will use.

When I saw all this bad reviews I think twice would I risk calling them when my wife get on labor?? , but I called cause in the same day she got on labor before her date with 11 days. And I was surprised how quick he came, in just 10 mins they were calling me to confirm the driver is allready arrived, and when I gave him the hospital address he correct it to me, so basically with out this nice driver we would take more time, and wasting money on wrong destination. It was a great experiences. And I hardly recommend it as a taxi service in staten island.

My first visit to the US, naturally a bit apprehensive about transport as I am staying at Staten Island which is a fair way from JFK. Thanks to John at Clove Lake who I spoke to before leaving the UK, and to Warren who was there to collect us from T5 within 10 minutes of me letting John know we'd landed early.
