Reviews of Greyhound: Bus Station
I give Minneapolis Greyhound station 5 stars because it's my favorite station of them all! Security is good. The best smoking section ever. Comfortable. If I have to have a layover this is where I wanna be.
Save for one slob and space taker of a patron who strewn trash under and around his row of seats, everyone seemed courteous, polite, and wary. Clean enough otherwise. What impressed me was the presence of a microwave!
Seems like some things never change. Felt really sterile. Especially the iron chairs and no good food to buy if you got hungry waiting for your bus. The iron chairs didn't look very comfortable if you had a long layover.
The building was very clean. Although there was an individual on the sidewalk napping and listening to Sweet classical music that is played outside.
Decent amenities and not much crowded. No complaints, it's a greyhound station as youd expect it to be.
Minneapolis has about the cleanest most comfortable bus station I've been in. Friendly staff, but honestly the staff at EVERY station have been great, the cleanliness has varied greatly from station to station. I love this one.
They are good at facilitating and making you feel safe. They could maybe handle the gate situation for lining up better. And perhaps a little sooner. It is a clean place and the bathrooms tend to be decent. All the times I have been in the night it has been a new experience.
Very clean bus station. Was pleasantly surprised by how well it is maintained!
Great station I missed my bus now will wait here for next one to arrive
Not bad for a bus station, security guard very helpful.
I'd rather take the bus than fly, comfortable and less stress. Enjoy the ride.
Wow! This was one of the nicest greyhound bus stops I've ever been to. Typically they're full of junkies and homeless folks who heckle you for money but this one was really clean and orderly. I thought I was in the wrong place.
AMAZING! First time on a bus thats longer than a quick trip and wow it was AMAZING. Got help with destination and payment witout asking, a lovely lady who deserves a kind 'thank you so much!' So paitent and explained everything lovely. Waiting area full of space and vending machines for even eletronics! Kind staff all round and another who helped was a tall black man with a very cute galaxy hat, top notch fashion /gen. Oh the seats are so nice you can habe leg room galore and the roof is soso silly! Its like carpet of an 80's roller rink!! Everything is so clean and concise. Even a complete novice found themself 100% knowing what to do how and when! One downside that isnt even a downside, just a strange inconvience with an easy fix. Our tickets are printed with like 5 other sheets?? Trying to fit that on an easier read format with the extra info at the bottom instead of spread out under the important stuff. Plus it would save ya'll paper, more convient, and boom! Only con isnt even a con! This place will be my go to for travel, insta recommend to friends wow
They really know how to take care of you. They cater to your needs. I use a walker and ever time we stopped for food or whatever, they already had my walker out waiting for me. Assisted me on and off the bus. They were great. I appreciated their service.
The buttons on the kiosk are not that responsive and you'll pay $3 for a bottle of water. Otherwise, it's ok.
The lady that spoke to me was so kind and welcoming, I almost didn't want to leave. Her energy/spirit is very calming. She wore a smile longer than I could remember. Great customer service. I wish I could give her 6 stars!
Wow nice for a greyhound station. Clean and helpful staff.
Had to go there for work. Still the terminal I used to know with new faces.
Clean, had space, bathroom was clean, employees we're nice, they had a security desk, many exit's, vending machine and charger ports...
Got to see a lot of Cities and States but what a wear and tear in the body OUCH! I’ll ride again but a shorter trip I overdid it this time.
My family member came home for the weekend and it is nice to have that transportation available, so I don't have to drive 3 hours to pick them up. It also saves gas! Happy traveling.
The people working worked with me on getting a new bus ticket because the one I was going to take got cancelled. All the workers was nice and courteous.
Very nice people don't rage out and cause a scene if u act with kindness and listen they will do anything to help fulfill your request
This is a best greyhound station i have seen
Because greyhound bus is the best and I love the work's good people
Only one attendant and she was kinda slo
Wonderful Station. Clean, Plenty of vending machines. Pay telephone's. You hear me‼️‼️🤗 Security, Safety .... Security Guard was a complete Gentleman. The Driver Cindy is in total control of her Bus.😃 I loved her! Thank You for the best ride ever🚌🚍♥️😃 …
Of all the depot's I've been to, this one is by far my favorite 🙂 It's always clean, has friendly staff, and fully functioning, well stocked vending machines--and now they even have vending machines with face masks and hand sanitizers. Buses are on time, and boarding is a breeze. I've made many connections in this depot, and not just for buses 😉
The Minneapolis bus station isn't a place you want to spend hours, but it is adequate for a bus station. The seats are not terribly comfortable and you would have trouble finding a place to charge a phone. There are a few vending machines if you need a drink or a snack. The staff that works here is polite and helpful.
It's a typical greyhound station. Keep an eye on your belongings.
Is relatively clean compared to most other bus stations. Vending machines are expensive for what you get. Buses are 99% on time, when they're not it's weather related
I expected this place to be dirty and undesirable people all around but it was pretty clean in there
The staff and facilities were very nice but I wish I felt a little safer when walking out the doors! I was immediately assaulted by people asking for a cigarette or money! Get jobs people! I really like that there is a smoking area inside so I dont have to deal with mooches
Price wasn't bad at all!! But I had things stolen from my suitcase in the bus terminal. Had to sleep in the bus terminal one night because the bus was late and was over a day and a half late getting home. But I got home safe and sound!! Will be taking the bus home again soon.
Last time I was there the lockers were removed. Not sure if this is due to vanadium or getting new ones. I liked being able to check in and lock up my stuff and sight seeing before my bus leaves. I had no major issues though but the station could use some remodeling to make it more modern both in and out
Nice and clean , but the machine was down when I was there they quickly resolved the problem. I visited two years ago and the quality of service is three stars better than before. The station felt a little more safe.
The Bus Driver was all business and no play. She needs to train all drivers. I dont know your name. But she was great.
The only thing I would suggest is to let customers know they are not leaving in time. There is a reason why the tickets have a departure time, and yes, it is ok to go 5-10min later the most, as people traveling don’t pay attention, and if you’re reading and about to travel, please please please read your tickets and read the luggage rules so you don’t cause more delay than what the actual company causes. But it becomes NOT OK when the delay passes 25min of just sitting there in the parking lot.
Spacious, lots of vending machine options overnight. Cleaner than any other bus station that I have been in. 8 bus spots. I have seen too many disgusting stations where, for example, I even want shoe covers in the bathroom because I don't want that filth on my shoes - that's not a problem here. Pretty clean floors. Even cleaner sink area, toilets, urinals. Just a couple blocks to Target Center, and a couple more blocks to the Blue Line Metro. They could use more spaces at the charging station, or have outlets spread around the seating area.
Its a clean friendly place
On my way into the station, I walked through a crowd of men who smelled strongly of marijuana and seemed to be up to no good. Then I was approached by a crying woman who told me that she hadn't gotten into a shelter for the night, and needed money for food or a bus ticket. Once inside, I was informed by a security officer that my bus was canceled, only to find out five minutes later from someone else that it was not canceled. I ultimately got where I needed to go, with my luggage safe and intact. I had a mixed experience.
These people really take pride in getting you your shipment to the correct address the first time. I have been away on business and missed several calls from their depot. They held my cargo for days until I returned home, I confirmed the delivery details, and had a courier's polite service place it in my garage.
The station was insanely busy, but quite clean. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean. there is no security outside the station and the moment I walked out the door I was approached by three different drug dealers. It's not safe outside the building. The food is very much overpriced as well as the vending machines.
Love greyhound. Employee are super nice at this location. They have been working here for many years. And always been the best help
I love the old dogs. There masters need to reevaluate prices on needed travel items. $6 for a Pepsi, $4 for a tiny bag of chips?!!! Placing station far away from stores and then charging 3 dollars for a bottle of water is unethical. People ride the bus because they can not afford to travel by other means sometimes. Please realise this isnt white collar travel means. And charging more for social distancing in Illinois and Georgia is illegal.
Definitely appreciate the security even though he is extremely rude. It can definitely be sketchy. Be aware of your surroundings. However overall it’s just fine for bus stop and very convenient location. Very very dirty though!!!!!!!
So far this trip has been smooth sailing! Thank you Jefferson lines! But the trip down to Arkansas on December 7th was horrible...sad.
Not a bad place just wish they had more of a security presence near the drop off and pick up areas. A lot of sketchy looking people just wandering around down there.
There was a need for more staff. The bus boarding was approaching but people still were in line. The women's bathroom smelled bad from old sanitary napkins. Otherwise a very organized and large station.
I'd give it 4 stars, everyone saying its sketchy or bad part of town are obviously not from Mpls so I'd say its not bad, buses are fairly clean and waiting room is nice and spacious. Its a bus station what do people expect? No it's not like the Union Depot of Lowertown but its also not a historic sightseeing building like the UD. Definitely would take again, cheaper from mpls than from st.paul.
This is an inner city bus station. It wasn't fabulous and it wasn't awful. The access is controlled by a security guard. The signage was reasonable. It has an agent available during the entire time it is open.
Only way to get out of the city instead of the airport.
Im a regular on greyhound and so far my layovers were quick. Staff were helpful. The food pricing still. Pretty high
There seemed to be a lot of people with mental issues. The bag person was rude and refused to help a old lady. When something was said to him about it he lied and said he didn't know after he told her to do it herself. Most of the people I encountered from this station weren't very nice including passengers.
They wee extremely nice to me even when I missed my bus. They helped me to make it to another stop to get on the bus. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 …
This is a nice clean and modern bus station. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They had several vending machines to get beverages or snacks.
Haven't been here for years, but this bus station is beautifully redesigned inside, with very helpful people who work there.
Great, spacious bus station. Wasn't there for very long but seemed like a great spot to wait for the bus if needed.
Definitely not people friendly. BUT they do run on time, and process large volumes of people at once. So they are doing the best one can image. . . I mean, the few times I used this terminal the staff were grade-a experts on the process.
Not bad. Had option for train or Greyhound. I arrived on the Greyhound just as fast. Clean bus. Would do it again!
Very helpful when I needed to get somewhere I hadn't plan on going. Nice staff.
Workers are friendly, and place is usually pretty clean. They have vending machines, not particularly cheap though and just be careful of the people hanging out outside the building.
It's downtown Minneapolis what did you expect me to say but it's not that bad as some people say just watch your stuff and mind yo business and you good on folks
It's a greyhound station. You get to where you need to go. Don't march in here demanding nor aggressive. You will get that served to you. Be kind, well mannered and you will get just that.
Be sure to get food/snacks before getting checked in past security
Need more room for tall people...
They have a really clean facility and are very helpful with where you need to go.
It's alright for short trips. However, long trips are terrible, if you plan to sleep.
The lady at the desk was so kind and helpful. I wish I knew her name to give her credit and thanks. For making my journey possible 😊 …
Good price been riding it regularly lately love the staff and the bus drivers very friendly and cooperative vending options are terrible but prices are better then epected only downside is its connected to the dta but its on the other side of the lot so not alot of issues but sometimes people get loud n ineuberated got to go across the street where the bars are and potsmokers are to have a cig but the police straition is right there so there is a sense of security and can pay to safely keep your bicycle locked indoors while away plus its connected to the skyway for easy access
It's much better than I thought. On time and fairly clean. Driver politeness is hit and miss. If you smoke wear a patch. The biggest unrest on bus is from people who smoke. Be prepared to listen to complaints.
I just really love, and remember the older Greyhound bus commercials and slogan: "I go simple, I go easy, I go Greyhound." It WAS a very catchy jingle if I may recall...
Thanks for providing transportation to most cities around the nation. I like how you have a station...at least there is a place to sit and a bathroom to use. The buses have free Wi-Fi and a bathroom to use which is awesome
Really hate the loading workers at greyhound station that acts like security guards buses never leave at right scheduled time and overall just a hole in the wall bus station with good bus deals pretty much
Spending time in the greyhound station is always a good reminder that my life has a lot of room for improvement
Very nice and clean station, security guard was friendly. Waiting area was very nice and since you need a ticket to get in it kept the riff raff outside
I love the seats because it’s comfortable and big however, I rode 3 times and was delayed 2/3 times. They couldn’t find the driver and one time I had to cancel because we waited for almost 5hrs.
I'm really disappointed that I wasn't able to get Sammie's Last name to Have something sent to Her for SAVING MY LIFE!!!! the Manager would not let me talk to Her even though she's Over 21..
Its conforthing to be in the busdipot and not have to worry about the people that used to be at the particularly the the drunken and the high on drugs, for this I'm thankful 🙏 …
The staff here were helpful in every way they could be. Security is good and I felt safe during the time I spent here.
pretty good for a bus station. I felt safe. They had staff & security
Very clean basic station. Ticket counter. Friendly staff. Refreshments and food only from bending machines including their coffee.
Been traveling back & forth on the Greyhound here in Mpls,Mn since 1992 always have a great customer service staff no complaints nice people who makes sure you get all your travel info & up keeps the place no worries great security I reccommend this depot for a safe travel stress free way to travel 😄👍 …
Nice ride. Got to my destination ahead of schedule and driver was great
Very clean facility!! Excellent service great driver on bus 701 to Sioux Falls. Thanks
Really nice and clean place, customer service on point highly recommended for your trips to all USA and some areas of Canada and Mexico as well.
It was clean Ni felt secure inside! Opposite outside though after dark!! But it is a big city n expected for that time of night.. Peace
Other than TVs and vending machines, I would suggest you charge your phone fully, prepare a few mobile games, and a snack if you don’t wanna spend on chocolates. Other than that, a decent waiting place.
Looking forward to their upcoming events
It is what it is. If you are looking at a bus, I assume you know you are not going to be catered to. But they are cheap, quite dependable, and they get you where you are going in a straightforward manner.
The station clean with plenty of security. Be careful if you go outside you'll more than like run into someone from the mental institution near by
One of the cleanest and best-maintained stations... Super friendly employees also.
I liked the calming music outside. Also friendly staff and common sense set up.
Nice safe trip updated buses with plugins to charge your phones laptop etc
Nice place got great bus service to Fargo
Very good bus and it's more accessible for disable guys like me good drivers
The employees are usually very nice and helpful. The bus station is already clean.
My experience there was fine. I had no trouble at the bus depot. The bus was on time and the driver was friendly and helpful.
It's a nice bus station with a outdoor smoking area, vending machines, and clean bathrooms.
Very clean, fast turn over rate on layovers. High five from me!!
Wish the staff were more helpful and kind. Otherwise this greyhound location is good.
Nice friendly service clean restrooms again very inexpensive vending machines paid ten dollars for a small bottle of advil
The Starr was friendly and helpful, all though I bought the ticket for Jefferson Lines.
Everyone I spoke to was helpful and nice, except one mean woman working at food counter in Chicago.
Very clean for a bus station and very roomy with tables to sit at while waiting.
Greyhound is just gotten better at what they do.
For the price you can't go wrong.
Great big place. Got a smoking station vending machines an a eltronixs vendor machine also. Plenty of places even tables to sit n wait for your next bus
Nice TERMINAL. Decent improvement from the one years ago that used to be across the street. This terminal is mostly clean with the exception of the restroom.
Need to get out of town? they are here to help. fast fun friendly.
It was clean and quiet friendly driver with Jefferson lines overall very pleasant trip!
It's a coach bus terminal.. nothing special...it was clean. The bus left on time.
Good bus but no seating reservation makes it difficult to get seat. People occupy both the seats
Bus driver was excellent bus was not in the best shape but it made its destination
Greyhound station is great, it is (some) of the people who choose to ride the bus that makes it a challenge.
Cleanest and nicest greyhound station I have ever been to. The employees were very helpful and kind.
ivI' rode with Grayhound for over 40 years and l havntha had any problems with taking a trip anywhere you want to go, and for me, I like to lrl someone else do the driving.
Our ride was wonderful. Felt safe and secure all the time.
They were entertaining at the counter. Made me laugh. And they had lockers to store bags
The restrooms are not really good....not sure of the ones used by women. The management needs to work on that. I enjoyed the ride
Bathrooms are big and clean. Staff are friendly. Great safe area to wait until the bus comes
Lots of space to watch CNN on 4 screens.
The aMontana Greyhound bus drivers are very nice what there is of them but all over the country that I've been to most of them were very rude and inconsiderate.
Landed here from Billings, MT on my way to Chicago, IL. Not very comfortable, not enough places to charge phones. WiFi is terrible.
Station is very large with lots of room and plenty of seats for waiting but employees were not very friendly
Better than most bus stops
Clean. Spacious with WiFi free. Only one charge corner. The bad thing is the WiFi is very slow
Its very clean! everyone was super nice and respectful! They keep a very clean and calm environment!!
Excellent connections between US & Canada. All ways on time.
Friendly security staff, and an on time departure.
-1. The data is NOT unlimited on the busses. This was an unfortunate discovery for my 6 hour trip.
Clean and orderly. Plenty of space for everyone to social distance themselves from each other.
The place closes between 1:30 and 4:30 pm, but otherwise its very nice
No complaints. Was taken to my destination w/o any hassles.
Quick service. Lady at front desk is very nice.
Bit smelly. But cheap and got the job done😃 …
Friendly folks at customer service station.. I travel a lot on Grayhound Bus a lot during the Year...
Packed and has an indoor waiting area. Make sure you ask staff about your buses and stay away from homeless people asking for money outside.
Sketchy but ok overall. Its public transportation 😁 …
Greyhound bus station... Effective staff helpful and nice
I love this place not to much of the people or customers service it's clean safe to a point
Great service and everyone is very nice and helpful
Dropped Niece off to catch a bus. There weren't any people just hanging outside the building this time. Facility was clean! Friendly customer service!
I had no issues at all traveling for the, first time on my own.
Good
Jefferson lines did a great job my wife had a wonderful trip
Its kinda dingy here. Bus ride was good though. People working here are pretty nice too... For the most part.
Great new buses with electrical outlets and movies
Pretty good terminal compared to others. Just unfortunate that the close between 1am and 4am.
Just a bus stop. Small amount of food available from vending machines as well as drinks. Seats aren't the greatest and place want all that clean, not disgustingly dirty either.
My fourth time taking the bus and my fiances first time and we both love it
It was very helpful I'm very happy for the service
Clean and running on time
Great service keep moveing people at great prices !!!
Really good service! I do a lot of shipping at this place, and they always provide courteous prompt service.
Clean, we maintained, very easy to find on Google maps. They have a vending machine with a few sandwiches for the hungry
Very friendly and helpful when I printed off the wrong ticket. They got me on the way without a hitch.
I didn't actually take the Greyhound I got on another bus
Overall the bus experience was good, but there was some pretty unfriendly staff in Minneapolis.
They were running late. I'm not good at waiting past the time of intended arrival.
One particular baggage handler has ALWAYS got a bad attitude
OMG stranded at the bus station in MNPLS.. But the ride from MNPLS to Fargo was AWESOMENESS.. 🤔🤔❤🌹👌👌finally got to ND.. …
Cheapest way to get from one destination to another by bus
Hard to understand where to go.. unfriendly staff
Been taking the Greyhound since Friday July 30th of 1999 and the experience was the best service. But the only flaws it needs to fix for all stations all around the USA and Canada is putting a carry-on bag search to make sure no one doesn't bring any illegal things on the bus that way they'll have a quiet safe bus ride where they need to go.
It is getting worn down, because it is getting old
It's a good company to travel with
Very cold and uncomfortable ride, felt every bump. The station in Minneapolis has really gone downhill also.
Well first time in a bus station and it's not like the movies lol but it was very clean and orderly
One of the newer facilities very clean very bright
Staff are not the best. But getting on the bus and on our way was easy and no problems.
Wi-Fi was poor, personal overhead light did not work, nor the air jet which is essential when the person 2 inches from you smells horrendous. They do get you from A to B on time though.
Parking was hard to find. Had to pick up a friend from the downtown location.
no Wi-Fi super crowded
I know I've said things about greyhound before, but this place is an exception to my previous comments.
Got us where we needed to be. Chicago was confusing but the rest very easy
The ride was ok .. The staff all had attitude problems
Clean. Friendly service. With all the traffic I expected more than two stalls in the ladies' room
New bus depot/transportation center.
I mean people here are just bus people and it's obvious that the workers dont want to be here either.
Good seating Wi-Fi and Outlet plugs
Great place great customer service great employees 👌👍 …
Clean place with cool theme. However the chairs are not comfy.
It looked poorly maintained but for being in the downtown district of a busy city it was acceptable.
Friendly drivers and great service.
Boring and bum filled but not dangerous or dirty like some
As long as they keep bringing my family and friends to and from safely they are alright with me.
Waiting time is a little longer and security could be stepped up a little outside...
Clean facilities and friendly staff. My only complaint is the lack of recycling bins.
Helpful staff and very clean depot
Average don't expect to much. Charging ports are on the buses though
If I have to take a bus this is the one I take.
Very clean but staff were somewhat irritable
Well its your connection between greyhound and Jefferson. Or visa versa. I guess the only thing I can say is they only have vending machines as aposed to the restaurant. Oh well.
Very kind drivers and very informative
Bus left out on time & got back on time.
You need to call ahead and they'll save a ticket for you when you arrive just show your ID
very smooth n relaxing ride
Very good and nice people who work there
I think the cost-benefis would be better between the route Minneapolis to Chicago. The coach was not comfortable like the route Sioux Falls to Minneapolis at all.
There are not a lot of bus options in Midwest. Grewyhound is one of he biggest company and this is one of their biggest bus station.
It's a good place. Good travel experience.
Nice place, but you can never understand what they say over the intercom, and have an attitude when you go up to them for clarification.
This here my friends is and always will be my favorite everything about it is 💯 …
It's very small. It has a few vending machines and no public restrooms.
Quiet, clean, with very helpful employees.
One of the better looking stations in the nation
Gets you where you're going but unnecessarily expensive.
When you are traveling greyhound try the burger meal yum
Compared to other bus stations I've been to, it's kinda nice really...
Good
Better than most bus stations
Thank God for security! Take a plane
A very stressful experience. Bus was late 6 hrs which meant my whole trip was 6 hrs late at every bus stop
Staff can be a bit short tempered but overall experience was not too bad.
Very scary place to visit at 12:00am
I got a little lost finding it but the ride was very comfortable
"Very Nice And Very Clean Superb Staff Excellent Buses"
Crouded some times. But all in all a nice clean place
It's a pretty chill calm place. The place is calm, the people might not be.
All the bus lines are 3rd party.what happened to greyhound bus?
It's okay for most people who want to travel and can't afford rental vehicles etc.
Clean and safe the staff were helpful on the whole.
Quick printing for will call tickets
For a bus Station it's legit. Clean throughout. Vending and micro.
This was actually super easy to access, not crowded, workers were accommodating.
I came here expecting to puchase a ticket but was not able to due to my bank account being froze. So being down on my luck and out of patients i wanted to give up. And i almost did. But luckily there was a woman and not just any woman. There was a woman who cared and saw my situation her name is Mimi. Without mimis help i would have not gotten my ticket i would have lost my mental. But she was so helpful and professional and if i may say.. kinda cute. She let me make phone calls, looked up info online for me and kept me company with great convo. Thank you Mimi :) ....Greyhound yall need to promote this woman
Service is pretty bad. The attendants are rude. What makes up for it is my bus driver.
Good experience, i was pleasantly surprised
Nice, new, clean rest rooms
