We had an excellent experience with Trail Ridge air on a recent day trip out to Katmai national park for bear viewing. Highly recommend and would use them again. Our pilot Chase did a very nice job of getting us there safely and also pointing out really cool geological features and attractions along the route. The views of aerial Alaska are worth the flight itself! Expect to pay at least $1045 per person for that flight, comparable to other providers. The boxed lunch was great and filled us up- had more than just a sandwich and chips, had some fruit and other snacks to keep you full after a full day of exploring.

Professional, safe, and overall amazing experience with Trail Ridge Air from the reservation and communication with Bailey, the day of help from Jim, and flight with Will. Jim, the owner, was helpful and coordinated another flight for us as our initial trip was cancelled due to weather. It turned out to be a great day! I’ll definitely book with them again for flight seeing, bear viewing, or transport.

We did a charted fishing trip through Trail Ridge. It was fantastic! The flight out was smooth, we had never flown on a float plane before and had no idea what to expect. The fishing trip was wonderful and we caught some nice salmon. Lunch at the lodge was a great homemade meal and the flight back was just as spectacular. Would highly recommend them.

We had a PHENOMENAL experience with Trail Ridge Air!! Everyone we encountered was friendly and treated us like family. We chartered a Beaver for a flightseeing tour and had the BEST time with our pilot, Ethan. He was safe, professional and gave us an unforgettable, above and beyond experience that far exceeded my expectations. Jordan was awesome and made booking easy. Top notch all around- we'll be back!

Great trip with these guys! Did and hour tour and saw a ton of beluga whales and a moose. The la escape of alaska is breathtaking even on a rainy day. The play is small but well kept and I felt safe the whole time. Prices were the best I could find!

The float plane tour with Rangle was just amazing. The flight was smooth and he seemed to genuinely want us to see cool things and have a great experience. You could sense the family owned business which I love. The dogs greeting us was a little bonus! Just a great great experience. Highly recommend this company!

I cannot tell you how nervous I was. The whole crew at Trail Ridge Air was awesome and so accommodating. We were in Alaska for a long weekend and did not know what we were doing. We had an awesome flight seeing tour! The prices were competitive with some of the other options, however the service was exceptional. They had a van that picked us up and dropped us off at home at no additional cost. The pilot was very professional and tailored the flight for what we wanted to see. Recommend.

Trail Ridge Air went above and beyond. We were at our remote cabin, one of our crew fell off a roof and we needed an emergency flight to the hospital. We first contacted trail ridge, they did not have a backboard, we then contacted guardian who does not do remote and while on the phone with life med trying to figure out if they could land, trail ridge air called back and said if we could set up a backboard they could be at our location in a short period and they prevailed. The pilot was amazing, he helped us carry our crew member to the plane, he worked with the guys on brainstorming the best way to get him in the plane, situated safely and secure and in a manner safe for all. His flying skills were so smooth, it was the smoothest flight we have ever taken and we have been flying small planes for years. In fact when we landed on Lake Hood we did not realize we landed it was that smooth and his take off was as smooth. The entire trail ridge crew awaited our arrival with the ambulance and we willing to do anything they could to assist. We cannot thank the pilot and crew enough. AMAZING, AMAZING! THANK YOU

Thank you trail ridge air for an amazing trip to Cresent Lake for some phenomenal bear veiwing. We called last minute, literally the day before, and they were able to accommodate our request. Yes it's a bit pricey, but worth every penny. Our pilot Chase was very knowledgeable about the area, and was very skilled. Both take offs and landings were very smooth. If you are looking for an air charter out of anchorage for your next alaska adventure go with trail ridge air. Thanks guys!

Called for a same day flight-seeing trip and was able to be accommodated within three hours. Great communication and customer service to make the reservation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a happy group of folks. Their shop was well organized, and the planes looked great. I had mentioned that we wanted to see moose if at all possible, and this was relayed to our pilot, Wrangle. Wrangle was very personable, knowledgeable, and super happy to answer any questions. He found a moose within about 20 minutes of takeoff. He customized the trip based upon what we wanted to see, and we really couldn't have been more pleased. Trail Ridge Air is a great company, and if we have flying needs in Anchorage in the future, this will be the first place I call. Thanks for a great trip!

My husband, daughter, and I called Trail Ridge on a whim of possibly taking a ride just before catching our flight home out of Anchorage. They were able to accommodate us and we were not disappointed!! Chase was a great pilot and very knowledgeable of the area! We saw beluga whales, moose, and some beautiful Alaskan scenery!! We went on the Redoubt Mountain bearviewing tour and had a great time from start to finish! Everyone was very nice and worked to make us welcome and the experience fun and interesting. On arrival we were greeted with a big smile and welcome and they made everything easy. Great pilot, great people at lodge, great food, great lake tour! We are so glad we did this and highly recommend this company and this tour.

Amazing experience- we did a fly in to fish the Yentna river. Our pilot was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and told us stories about the area and provided good intel on flying conditions. The float itself was operated by a lodge north of Germantown. Dave was our guide and it was a good tag team situation. It is important to note that the company was 1 hour late to pick us up (due to some backlog) - the guide was happy to keep us on the river fishing and open a couple of beers with us afterwards. We were a little early in the season so we didn’t catch fish. Tight lines.

Trail Ridge Air was chartered for our June elopement. What a uniquely Alaskan way to get married! We were met at the lake by not just the pilot but most of the family members that run Trail Ridge Air and their wonderful dogs! We love dogs! My wife was admittedly nervous about this flight since she had never flown in a small plane. Our pilot reassured us and answered all her many questions before and during the flight. Along with our photographer and wedding planner, we were flown to Beluga Lake where we were married. The entire experience was nothing short of epic! Seeing Alaska from the air was incredible! We saw wildlife, remote fishing shacks and glaciers of course! Take off and landing were excellent and the ride was smooth sailing. I would highly recommend Trail Ridge Air for any adventure you find yourself in Alaska for!!

The Jensen family and the entire Trail Ridge Air team are top notch. They go above and beyond to provide a great service and are very invested in making their clients happy! We use them as a flight seeing service for our destination elopements and they know how to pick the best remote ceremony locations while also allowing our couples to see Alaska and it's wildlife at it's best, from the air! We highly recommend them!

Very professional and skilled pilots. Planes are well maintained. In ten years of flying with these folks we have never experienced any sort of mechanical problems. Like the cooler boxes they supply as well, less expense and trouble than packing a cooler from the lower 48.

Es war alles perfekt. Wir hatten ein kleines Wasserflugzeug für uns 2 allein, die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und sind auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Der Flug war super, wir haben alle möglichen Tiere zu Gesicht bekommen und die Landschaft war unbeschreiblich schön. Eine Zwischenlandung war inklusive. Wir können den Flug in den Westen von Anchorage nur empfehlen! (Translation) It was all perfect. We had a small seaplane for the 2 of us alone, the staff were very friendly and catered to our every need. The flight was great, we saw all kinds of animals and the landscape was indescribably beautiful. A stopover was included. We can only recommend the flight to the west of Anchorage!
