I love all my tattoos from Studio Evolve !! My tattoo artist is amazing I'm able to give her a few ideas and she runs with it perfectly!!! Perfect service everytime and they're so caring. They offer water, there's a clean restroom, hand sanitizer everywhere, masks are enforced at all times and there's also great privacy & space for everyone getting tatted. 😀 HIGHLY recommend this studio.

Blake is hands down one of the best artists I’ve been to. Was so down to earth and real with me. Gave his honest opinion and trusted him with this gem. I gave him an idea but gave him free rein to do what he pleases and this was the final result. He was even caring enough to ask about my pain and offer numbing spray when it became quite uncomfortable. So pleased with his work and his art. 10/10 recommend him and Studio Evolve.

Excellent experience. Tommy Ray did such a nice job on our matching tattoos to honor my mother. While it was a simple little tattoo, it is so crisp and clean. Sometimes the little tattoos are the hardest! Thank you for the art. Highly recommended.

One of the best tattoo shops I’ve been in. It’s always clean and everyone there is always welcoming. My tattoo artist is honestly the best. I was super nervous about getting tattooed in VB since moving but Canada is super sweet and does such a beautiful job. She’s super detailed with her work and has always gone way above my expectations. She takes the extra mile in my opinion whenever I come to her with my ideas. She did such a beautiful job with my collar bones. 1000% recommend. 🥰

This shop is simply one the best in Hampton Roads. Today was my second time getting tattooed here. It’s a really great environment and the girls at the front desk were really personable and helpful. I came in thinking I was just gonna get a consult and it turned out that Jeff had just had a cancellation and was able to do my tattoo as a walk in. I’d been wanting something in remembrance of my best friend who committed suicide and this little bit of lyrics I got on my arm was the perfect thing. He did such an awesome job with it. I am already planning my next tattoo and it will definitely be at Studio Evolve.

When the only downside is many of the artists are booked out for several months? That's a great thing. Clean space and great artists. The artist I had this time, Nikki Canady, took a sketch I did and brought it to life. Made a few changes that just enhanced it. This is a work in progress, so still need to go back to have it finished up. But incredibly impressed. Will absolutely be going back for more.

I've been getting tattooed by Lucy Lou there for 7 months and it's been a fantastic experience. The staff is great and it lacks the gatekeeping, pompous attitude a lot of other tattoo shops seem to have. I highly recommend.

I came here to finish up my tattoo started months ago (I had to save money, so it took time) with Mike Boone. I am so happy with my tattoo and the service provided. Mike is a great artist and seems like a fun person. He is fun to talk to which helps distract from the pain of getting the tattoo. The front desk person was also kind and friendly. I'm sorry for not catching her name, though. Also, as an aside, my husband was also tattooed by Kevin. He's also pretty cool and does great work. We recommend them both. I can't wait to go in for my next tattoo.

I had a great experience. Everyone was super nice and professional. They were really careful due to covid - everyone wore masks the entire time and my initial consultation was via Zoom. I had a coverup done, and I am really happy with how it turned out. It looks exactly like my dog. Mark did an AMAZING job. Jamie Cary listened with extreme patience during my consultation. He took my traditional tattoo idea (which was kind of kooky) and turned it into a design that blew away my expectations. The process at this shop is extremely well done. I can tell the scheduling process is beneficial to both the clients and the artists. There’s no rushing people in and out of the shop. Studio Evolve is very clean, and the artists are very friendly and talented. My only issue was with scheduling. I would get a call once a month saying my appointment had to be pushed back or the artist wasn’t ready for me. It also noticed that I would schedule for two days, and only one day would be put down, or the times would drastically change. If anything I would simply recommend having the artists provide their availability or unavailability for front desk personnel frequently to prevent any discrepancies. Otherwise a great place and super satisfied!

I LOVE Studio Evolve! I came in for a couple small walk in tattoos and the atmosphere and the people are just amazing! The front desk girls were such a help and everyone was so nice! I am an older person (in my 60’s) and this was my first tattoo. When I walked in the studio, I was immediately greeted and asked how they could help. I told them what I was looking for and she recommended Jamie because of his line work. Jamie took time for a consultation (which I might add was very professional and informative). I sent Jamie my reference photo and when I showed up for my appointment, it was more than I ever imagined. Elle is FANTASTIC! She's been tattooing me since she was an apprentice, so of COURSE I followed her to Studio Evolve when she told me she was moving to VB! I legit felt honored to be her first canvas at the new shop.. And this was a great move for her, too! The atmosphere and layout of the shop are perfect! The receptionists are super friendly and professional as soon as you walk through the door. Every artist (and there are something like 20-30 in the building 🤯) has their own cubicle with just enough privacy for their more revealing pieces, but with the ability to still be social! Super chill place, for sure.. For real though, if you're looking for anything nature based (flowers, landscapes, wildlife, insects, even beautiful faces and gems), book an appt with Elle! She makes sitting through even a 5-6 hour session a cake walk! Great conversations, upbeat personality, and one of the most artistic people I have the pleasure of calling a friend or honor of calling my tattoo artist!

Great studio. There's all kinds of styles going on so everyone can find an artist they like. The staff is professional and kind. Gabe, my artist, not only does wonderful psychedelic pieces but has great energy during the process. I adore his sketch-book heavy line work too. The studio is very clean with breakrooms for mid-tattoo sugar pick me up. I also enjoy the huge waiting rooms, perfect for group tattoos and waiting for consultations. Art is on every wall and the place is treated more like a homey gallery. The artists' professionalism is apparent. These people are the best of the best in Hampton Roads, all in one building.

This is a great location, my wife and I did some research into the local scene and were told by a few folks to check this place out, so we did. From start to finish the artists and office personnel were very helpful with each step from the consult to deposit to appointments. My wife had some work done with Colleen and myself with Mark. They were both very professional and passionate about their craft and hit the nail on the head with the outcome of our respective tattoo's. Also enjoyed the sense of camaraderie felt while in the chair. Other artists would walk in and say words such as "that is going to be a sick design when finished". The studio itself is also very clean and the cost is worth it. Highly recommend checking this place out as each piece of ink that comes from there is one of a kind.

This was my first time at this studio, and Blake was my artist that inked me up. Blake free handed around what was on my upper arm and did a Dynamite job! The artist do charge by the hour, not the tattoo. And there is a deposit that you can either keep on file, if you're working on a large piece like a sleeve, or you can use it after just one tattoo. First and foremost, Mark Wroblewski is one of the best artists I've received work from in years. If you are thinking about your first tattoo or are looking to add to your collection, Mark is your guy! A brief synopsis of my experience with Studio Evolve, I was cordially greeted from a friendly receptionist upon entering the shop. The waiting area could use some new, comfortable furniture, but the wait is only temporary. Once Mark took me back to his workspace, it appeared to be clean, calm, and welcoming. It was obvious that he respects his work, his office, and the tools of the trade. I wasn't expecting an impressive bedside manner from him or the tattoo shop from past experiences of other shops, Mark is a very friendly guy, not intimidating, and ensured his clients are given respect from the initial greeting. I was impressed. The piece I asked him to design was very basic, not complex at all; however, if you check his portfolio, he is experienced and capable of fine detail if one is looking for multi-color design and/or realism. Afterwards, he didn't rush me out to take on his next client, but rather took a little time to discuss the next piece I was thinking about. I may be wrong, but assume this is rare, since time is money and an email can have the same conversation. To sum it up, Studio Evolve in Virginia Beach is one of the top, if not the top tattoo shop within Hampton Roads. Mark is truly an artist who loves his work and cares for his clients. FYI - I do not give 5 stars easily (and this was my first tattoo ever). The establishment is inviting, clean, and professional. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My artist was beyond exceptional, she was attentive to my design and creatively made it fit well on the location by adjusting size. We even had to reschedule to another day so she could redraw the graphic to fit better in the location. The tattoo itself was beyond expectations with solid line work, shading, and more. She even offered a free one-time touch up if needed. They do charge 3% for credit cards if you do not want to pay cash.

Studio Evolve, Just a quick note to anyone that reads these reviews before picking a studio in VA Beach for ink. If I could give 10 stars, I would. The fact is, Studio Evolve is great and I'll give a quick reason as to why. I do not live local to the studio anymore. I live about 4 hours away. Meaning all my appointments and re-schedules and updates are through email and phone calls. The staff there, couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Not once was I ever questioning professionalism and integrity. The email response was quick and painless. Phone calls are always quick and easy as well. I've had to rescheduled with an artist a few times due to work related engagements but not once was I ever treated like my business didn't matter. The studio is clean and full of awesome art. I think it's safe to say the floors are clean enough to eat off. Another thing that I as a customer look at, restrooms. I think the cleanliness of a restroom says a lot about a business, and again, clean enough to eat off the floors (if your into that sort of thing). My artist, is in my opinion, one of the best I've ever come across. All started with the good ol Gram of Insta's (Instagram). Followed him for a long while before I said to myself, "gotta get some work from him, you would be crazy not too." So I did, 95% of my left arm to be exact. I live and work in a area where there are just a lot of tattoo parlors and people with tattoos. I would say a few times a week, guys and girls will ask, "dude, where did you get your ink?!" Or "dude, that's so sick." Or "wow, stop staring at yourself in the mirror." And it pumps me up to know I've got great art that I will always love. Do you care? Probably not. But if your still reading, just understand that this place is legit and I would be happy with a tattoo from any of the artists. So for what it's worth, thanks Studio Evolve.

After ranting and giving it a one star review, I received a phone call from the studio as well as a package in the mail. They apologized sincerely and offered a discount on a tattoo if I would give them another chance. The way they went about this was very professional and personally, I haven't seen many companies at all 'bend over backwards' to make things right. Given this, I think I'll be going back and meeting up with another artist. Given I haven't gone back yet, I'll put 4 stars now for their effort in showing they truly care about the customer and their experience. This has made me see them in a new light and hopefully meeting a new artist will make this place the 5 star experience I've read about.

When I tell you its dope..I mean the artwork here ECLIPSES every other shop within 100 miles. The talent here is AMAZING and groundbreaking. If you took the worst artist here..which there isnt one..and put them up against any other shop you'd see clearly why this place is the place to go. I'm sooo happy I ran into this place. I also want to add that the atmosphere was clean and warm and welcoming although a little difficult to find at first. The guy behind the counter was soo helpful and it was refreshing to see the heart and effort put into the artwork. This place is AMAZING. You wont want to get tatted anywhere else, and their prices are the same as the other shops with ALOT WORSE artwork. You won't be disappointed !!!
