Clean shop with great practices. Everyone was friendly, assisted customers and seemed to be helping each other as well. We where walk-ins and each artist gave a consultation. Eddie did an awesome job of pairing the artist and subjects/ styles together. Able hooked it up and gave me a sick looking bat and Gengar! He was easy to work with and kept the conversation interesting during the process. He also gave options until a selection was made. Jasmine worked on my wife and gave her a dainty hummingbird and flower that matched her existing color palette well. Both artist did great work and have mad skills. I will add photos after they heal as well.

My friend and I were walk in appointments, and we had the best time being tattooed by Jasmine. She took a simple stencil and turned it into one of my favorite pieces. The shop is beautiful, and the artists have such a good vibe going. I've been to 4 different shops, and this one was my favorite experience by far, so I absolutely plan on becoming a regular.

I came in as a walk in to get matching tattoos with my best friend. The receptionist was great, let us know there'd be a wait, and kept us updated. However, the tattoo artist who tattooed us came off very flippant and like we were inconveniencing them. I've had much better walk in experiences at other parlors. Despite the lackluster treatment, the shop was very clean and pleasant.

Went in last min for a tattoo with friends. Staff was very friendly and communicative and shop was very clean. I wish it was communicated that the shop min was $100 as we all got tiny tattos and knowing this would’ve better helped us make our decision. Overall great experience at this tattoo shop, we all got what we wanted and we appreciate the quick service! thank you.

I LOVE Black Sparrow Tattoo! After moving to Seattle and researching different places to turn my design into a tattoo I found this gem and couldn't be more happy. It took about 4 hours but it was worth the wait to have the final product I currently have. I was able to get my work done by one of their guest artists (Manukai). He was awesome and professional and did AMAZING work with detail. The whole establishment is very clean and inviting and was easy to book my appointment. People say its a bit pricey but honestly...if you are bargain shopping for a tattoo then go to a place in the mall and have regrets. Black Sparrow Tattoo in Seattle is awesome and I will definitely be back. Thank you!

The tattoo came out great. The only issue I had was that I came in as a walk in at 12:30. Nobody was before me and the shop was not busy (Tuesday). The artist took an hour to draw up the tattoo which was fine. I came with my wife. We both got the same simple tattoo posted. We did not leave the shop until 6pm. Like I said the tattoos came out great. The place was super clean but we did not expect almost a 6 hour visit for these two tattoos. I would recommend, just be ready for it to be a full day experience.

If you are looking for a place in Seattle to get tattooed Black Sparrow is it! My 3 cousin’s & I were all looking to get matching tattoos together by Eddie, despite his full schedule he was gracious to find time and book us all together. Communication when booking our appointment was great, Abby made the process smooth and accommodated all our needs. Arriving to our appointment all Covid safety measures were taken, the shop was very clean & overall really good vibe. The location is prime & perfect to kill time between all our tattoos. This was my first tattoo so I did extensive research before choosing an artist. I’m beyond happy we chose Eddie, his work is unmatched. The talent and detail in his pieces is so real and truly works of art. He made a first experience for me really comfortable and a breeze. All 4 of our tattoos came out impeccable. He brought a very meaningful idea for us to fruition and we are so grateful. I hope to get another piece in the future. 10/10 would Recommend !

I had a simple tattoo took less than 20 min to get tatted and I got charged 120 they overprice everything I’ve gotten bigger pieces more detailed by slave to the needle with around the same price . Staff was friendly but not worth it .

Got a half sleeve from the one and only Eddie Martinez. The dude is an absolutely incredible artist. I came to him with no image, just a speech that was important to me and let him come up with the concept. It was absolutely the right call. I’m super stoked with the end result. Also, if you have to spend 14 hours hanging out with someone, Eddie’s a good dude to do it with. I had a really good time getting to know the guy and I’d come back for the conversation alone. I can’t recommend Eddie enough!

Got a tattoo a few months back and overall I had a great experience! The shop was clean and the customer service was great. There was a small mixup with the tattoo I wanted and what was designed, which set us back a bit, but Eddie was quick to adapt and get everything situated. Walked away with a great tattoo and am already looking forward to getting the next one at Black Sparrow. Thank you!

I got my first tattoos here (I got 3 pieces done in 1 session) and I’m so happy that I chose this place! The staff was super nice, I forgot his name, but the guy at the front desk was constantly sanitizing the space (including the door handles). Hunter worked on my tats and he’s amazing! He made sure I was comfortable and set the expectations for pain levels. Was super professional and made sure I was happy with his work. I’ll definitely be coming back here for future pieces 😊

Amazing, high-class artists. Everyone is extremely polite, kind, and friendly. The shop is attentive to cleanliness. Their blackwork is amazing. To avoid waiting times as much as possible (referring to those one star reviews), set up an appointment if possible, and earlier in the day. Study the artists and see if their style is what you're looking for. You do not want to rush your tattoo artist at all. Expect to wait if you're trying to walk-in-- that's just the nature of trying to get tattoos done at a high-quality tattoo shop. It's definitely worth it. I would absolutely consider them again for additional tattoos!

Eddie and the shop are literally the top of the line. I got my hands tattooed of my parents who passed. This was the most meaningful tattoo I’ve ever gotten and Eddie made sure to make it EXACT. I cried my eyes out when they were done due to how absolutely perfect they were. The whole shop is amazing, and I will never go elsewhere for a tattoo. Super grateful I found them. I’ve never been so in awe of a tattoo artists work. Eddie is the best out there and so are all the other artists he has in there. If you go to black sparrow just know you’re getting the highest quality work possible.

The place is nice, clean and comfortable. The walls and decor are brighter than your usual tattoo parlor. I got some text and lines on my forearm. The staff was courteous and accommodating during my visit, and my tattoo artist was able to quickly mock the design for which I gave some vague guidelines. The whole process was quick and fairly painless, and the tattoo healed almost entirely in less than a week. Would definitely recommend this place to friends (already had 2 friends get their tattoos from here within a couple of weeks from mine and they had similar things to say).

It was okay... also keep in mind this isn’t my first tattoo and I’ve had multiple different experiences with many different artist in different cities and states. We first showed up (walk in), were told our wait was 2-3 hours so we left the area & then we were called half an hour later. Which is great but we had already left the area so we had to rush to get back. We were also told their hourly was $80/hour and we had only gotten a 3 inch tattoo with very minimal detail and it only took 40minutes but could’ve gone by a lot faster (in my opinion, I’ve had tattoos with a similar size and more details done under the time we got this tattoo). $40 deposit and then the actual price was $124… total $164 for a 3 inch tattoo… Last thing, our artist had extremely shakey hands which made me feel uncomfortable throughout the process..

From the beginning of the process to the end, I was impressed with everyone I encountered at the shop. The staff is friendly and easy to work with. When I walked into the shop for my ink, I was impressed with how clean and organized it was. I've been to shops all over the world, and Black Sparrow was one of the best put-together shops I've visited. I was on a long wait list for Eddie, but he actually got me in sooner than my booked appt. I spent the better part of a day getting inked by Eddie, and I'm so happy and with the outcome!! I get compliments all the time from people asking me about my tattoo. The wait is worth it!

Modern feel to a tattoo shop. Guys and gals inside are chill and the atmosphere is friendly to everyone there. I’ve done a walk-in and an appointment, and have been extremely happy with both results. Eddie sat with me through 10 hours on a beast leg piece in one session, and it looks fantastic. And a guest artist took me as a walk in a few weeks before. Theyre open late too, and do a lot to accommodate everyone who walks in. Cant go wrong at black sparrow.

I got tattooed by Eddie and I'm constantly getting complements about the quality of the tattoo. On a different note, no matter who tattoos you at this shop you will get a high quality tattoo. i came in as a walk in knowing i wanted a light house, and i got a traveling artist named Matt Joannes. i have to say he did a phenomenal job. better than I was expecting. the shop it self was clean and all the other artists had good work as well. hands down recommend Matt to any one getting a tattoo and the shop it self.

The tattoos are good but the customer service could use a big helping hand. They dont follow up with customers, your appointment can get double booked or last min rescheduled with little to no notice, artists show up late and are not apologetic or empathetic of timing.
