Yellow Rose is one of the best shops! I have been tattooed by Luis and Matt. Luis killed it with my Koi leg sleeve about 3 years ago. Matt did a native america girl on my chest almost 6 years ago. Both look fresh to this day. Both healed with no problems. They are very clean and professional. I plan on spending a lot more hours there in the future because they are the only tattoo shop you'll need to go to. All the artists are awesome there and i would get a tattoo by anyone at the shop. You get what you pay for. A great quality tattoo that you'll show off for the rest of your life.

I’ve had work done by Cody in the past, and Jason most recently. All I have to say, is that you will find some of the most talented artist you’ll ever see here. Everyone says “oh my tattoo artist is the best tattoo artist” but this is where my unbiased opinion comes in. Jason IS the best tattoo artist. Hands down. Everything about all of my experiences here have been incredibly easy, straight forward, and professional. That’s something I seriously admire about this shop. I really can’t recommend this place enough if you’re in Salt Lake, or even from out of state.

I was a walk in, woke up feeling pretty blue over my retired service dog's passing and decided to self medicate with a tattoo. Ashley was super chill and pulled some of the cleanest lines I've ever seen. I've been tattooed by five different artists and Ashley really stands out as a solid artist and professional. I was a bit nervous for my first tattoo, but I have seen Luis' work and knew he does great work. The initial stencil he placed was simple but also difficult to see the vision if you're not used to the process. We discussed it, made some decisions and alterations, then he went to work. Wow. Luis Flores is a true artist. I came to him in 2017 for a significant leg piece. Took about six sessions at three hours each to complete. I knew the content I wanted but lack all artistry so it was up to him to put something together and it's absolutely beautiful. I returned to him a month ago to start my sleeve, and again, he blew me away with his skill, and his attention to detail. He will ensure his work is going to not only be what you want and envision but what will work on the placement you've chosen. He is funny and patient and works with you. He's worth the wait to book, believe me. I've now spent more than 24 hours under a needle with him and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I get stopped all the time and asked where my tattoos are from and I will shout from the rooftop - LUIS AT YELLOW ROSE GO TO HIM ASAP. 😜 Of note. They are operating at red for the duration of covid. They take temps, do symptom checks, wear masks religiously, etc.

I came here for my very first tattoo a year and a half ago. These people got me in on a same day appointment for a two hour long appointment (tattoo was finished almost exactly two hours later), the quality was off-the-charts amazing, and they were very professional and reasonably priced. I recommend people here all the time. The artist who did my tattoo was Luis. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet (I'm pretty terrible about that). I've been thinking about coming back for my next tattoo soon, which is why I remembered to write one.

My aunt and I had a walk in appointment. They were super professional and fast in getting us in. With covid they were very safe and made sure that things were clean. Our artist were Jason and Rocky, we both would highly recommend you check them out as well as their shop. The only thing is the receptionist interrupted a lot and acted rude on the phone. The end product was beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

Ashley is a talented artist and though I am happy with the small piece she did I do not feel like I was charged fairly. I received a black and gray tattoo around 1 wrist, 2 arrows with names and a date. I was there for less then 2 hours. It took longer for her to get her gun and stuff set up and the tattoo aligned properly on my wrist then to tattoo it. I had her fix it once because it was crooked and she seemed annoyed by it like it was a bother. She charged me over $300 for it. I've had larger, more detailed pieces done for less. I know good tattoos are expensive but I didn't feel this piece was worth that cost amd I was really uncomfortable over the way she acted when I asked for a change. I have read other reviews similar to my experience with same artist. I will go back to my previous tattoo artist who is much more fair on pricing and provides much better customer service.

This is the ONLY place to get a tattoo! I’ve been going to Cody for years and not only Cody but all of the artists are amazing! I have never seen anything but high quality art come out of yellow rose and the staff is always so friendly. I have been to many tattoo shops over the 25 years I’ve been getting tattoos and since I found yellow rose I won’t go anywhere else! I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a high quality tattoo in a great atmosphere!

Got a tattoo from Ashley at Yellow Rose, and am very happy with both the tattoo and the experience. The shop seems well organized and clean, and there is plenty of fun flash on the walls to look at while you wait for the artist's station to be set up. And I cannot recommend Ashley as an artist enough -- not only her work is great, but she seems very personable and professional.

Really stellar shop for piercings or tattoos. They're very thorough with cleaning and setup and I've never had any issues. The pricing is absolutely fair for the work that is completed and after more than 5 sessions I wouldn't go anywhere else. The front-of-house staff is so good with appointments and following up to book and fill schedules for repeat customers. The team is fun and engaging and they make the time fly when you're getting work done. They're also down-to-earth and it makes for a great atmosphere. The artistic ability between the guys there is unreal. They will share resources and make recommendations and really push the creative work to be personal, fresh, and really detailed.

I've got an ongoing sleeve with Luis, and even though I'm not finished I wanted to put my review out there because of the interactions I've had both with my artist and other yellow rose employees. The quality of their art is beyond reproach, but you know that already if you've looked at the artists' portfolios, but I have personally been impressed by the integrity and loyalty to their craft and their art that I've seen in my own experience and in watching artists interact with their clients. I had some difficulty healing after my last session, because of my own over use of moisturizer, and not due to anything in the artist's or the studio's control, and went in to show to Luis a few days in advance of my next appointment. Instead of telling me what I needed to hear in order to make sure I went to my next booked session Luis advised that I take my time to heal and ensure I was doing everything to maintain the quality and integrity of the work. He chose to forego the revenue in his pocket to make sure his art, on my arm, was given the best chance to heal properly. The issue was my fault, and not anything that the artist or the studio was responsible for, but the integrity shown by the artist stood out to me. Yellow Rose and specifically Luis have a loyal patron and advocate for life. You should go here for your next piece of art. Cheers to Yellow Rose 🤙.

Today I went here for the first time to get some ink done. I've gotten one other tattoo from another shop and I was happy with it, but decided I wanted to go to a different shop and let me tell you.. I will NEVER be going back to the shop I went to before this one. I'm absolutely in love with the tattoo I got here. They have such an amazing staff and the artists are amazing at working with you to guarantee you get what you want! I had Yanni do my tattoo and he did such a good job, there isn't a single thing I would change about the work I got done. Loved everything about this shop, the receptionist Bree was super sweet and really personable and my artist Matt was exceptional! So my tattoo was great, but it took 6 minutes to do and was about the size of a quarter. Made me and two friends who got the same thin pay $100 each for it. We did, but in hind sight felt like we really got ripped off for it just bc we were new to tattoos. In hindsight it should’ve been at most $50-$60 for each of us. Won’t go to this place again for this reason, but it does have a nice vibe there

The atmosphere was wonderful and the people were truly nice, but out of my three tattoos this place did by far the worst job. All I had was a tiny seven minute tattoo. Very simple and very easy yet it looks poor and messy. I am not saying the place is bad but that one artist in general really let me down. Now I am going to have to fix it up and it will probably have to be bigger.

Matt was my artist. He's a personable guy, friendly and has a good sense of humor. He gave me a beautiful tattoo on my neck. I get so many compliments on it, from kids to little old ladies. My tattoo turned out so so good and I am so happy I went there! The only thing to be aware of is that it is on the more expensive side. My small wrist tattoo cost $140. Worth it to me though!

Got a tattoo small but meaningful to me, came in last second right before closing once upon a time, the artists welcomed me as if they just opened, slapped what i was dreaming on my arm and as quick as lightning and with a touch light as feather my tattoo was done. Still looking like i got it yesterday. Wonderful work comes from this shop, and still after all this time i think about my wonderful experience here. When another tattoo comes to my mind I wont go anywhere else but here.

I've never had a tattoo but have thought many years of doing a full sleeve. One which has significant meaning to me. I've met now twice and we have made a lot of progress. His work is extraordinary. I have compliments daily on the tattoo he has worked on down my right shoulder and arm down to my forearms now. Each time the same word comes up. "This guy is an artist!!" He's a very likable individual and very focused. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Jon to anyone willing to spend the money to get AMAZING work!! My experience was great!!! I was so impressed! It’s #COVIDlife now and they handled it so professionally. I showed up for my appointment, and called to let them know I had arrived as I was asked to. The gal working there asked me a series of questions about feeling sick, fever, being around anyone that’s sick, etc. Once I passed the test, and as long as I was wearing a mask, I was invited to come to the door. Before she let me in, I was given hand sanitizer, and my temperature was taken. Because the day was so hot, I seemed warm. So, I was led inside and my temp. was taken again. I passed! As I walked in, hardly anyone was there. And those that were there sat about 10+ feet apart. My tattoo artist, John, was doubled up with his face mask. Everything was SO tidy and felt immaculately clean! Great conversation, too! Wonderful experience. 🧐 what tattoo should I get next?!

They have a small number of top-notch artists, and you can check out their work on Instagram to help decide who would be best for the artwork you have in mind. The shop itself is very clean and everyone there is very conscious of contamination and maintaining barriers between the subjects (you) and anything else. If it touches you, it's sealed and single-use.

PLEASE. i seriously beg you to go to Yanni. he is absolutely incredible, nice, and seriously went out of his way to make the details of the tattoo incredible. I would give this place 10 stars if i could. never going anywhere else for tattoos

I had two quick hand tattoos done, some tally marks and a bit bigger than gold dollar sized symbol. The staff were incredibly accommodating and worked with the designs, explaining the best location and composition in terms I could readily understand - as well as the particularities of the process and the skin/bone composition which I hadn't considered prior. The results are crisp, bruise free, zero infection, healing up quick, and the pain was minimal for what is considered to be a highly sensitive area. Very professional results !

All three of my tattoos are from yellow rose and for my third tattoo (couples tattoo with my husband...I know), I felt as though Jason took the time to really listen to my husbands idea as it was a lot more complicated than mine and made sure to be accurate with the heart rhythms we brought in. The only thing I hate about any tattoo shop in salt lake is the minimum! Tiny tattoos are huge right now and I paid $100 for 3 inches of single line work that took 15 minutes total..

5.11.2016 I got a tattoo about my mom that passed 20 years ago. It meant a lot to me, I put it on my rib case next to my heart. Matthew purposefully placed the tattoo to go with the curve of my body to bring out my curves and hard work in the gym. That I didn't even think about. Pricesless. I was so nervous because of how much I've been told that area hurts. Matthew Miskow was amazing, he made me feel so at ease, walked me right through it, was a total professional and took amazing care of me and my nerves. I LOVE it and it turned out perfect.
